1821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 11, 2022, 01:02:34 PM

you are still in a good position if you zoom out. a lot of short term investors would panic however if it really goes below $17,000 because that means a break out.

there is still a battle against Gensler (SEC) when it comes to crypto regulation clarity. if this is still a looming threat there is a reason to panic. panic sell results to a loss though. the decision still belongs to him
1822  Economy / Economics / Re: Which fiat money are you holding right now in case of emergency needs? on: September 11, 2022, 12:28:33 PM
I'm thinking about four currencies to hold for the next 2 years or more:
  • Swiss Franc
  • Norwegian Krone
  • Chinese Yuan
  • Japanese Yen
That's what Bitcoin is for there to be an option where buying more during a downturn will store huge value in the future. But the fact is that when you hold fiat money, whether fiat is safe, even when inflation will still lose its value. Do you think inflation will not affect the currency you hold options?
When inflation hit and you still hold the fiat for storage of value? maybe you missed a lot about how the value store itself functions.

if BTC is accepted by hospitals, that would be cool.

in case of emergency means the one we have in home stash, mostly would answer the local currency.
USD is rising compare to the local currency.  its probably good to still have USD. the ones that i plan is to go in DEFO (decentralized forex) in WAVES platform where traders can buy digital yuan. i've been meaning to try it out.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 11, 2022, 12:17:33 PM
@YuginKadoya Edwards will also be easy for Chimaev. he has sturdy take down defence against others but they don't fight the way Chimaev does.

that one more fight you are talking about, would it be Usman? Usman is fit to defeat this beast and will likely have a trilogy with Edwards. thats what it might just be and Usman will be back to his place again.
1824  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 10, 2022, 04:15:11 PM
It's going to be inevitable, despite it being total utter nonsense due to the fact that there are much bigger environmentally-deadly industries to regulate.

Always expect attacks from the regulators, and I'm going to bet that this will be next.

enforcing the banning law will be difficult for the authorities however. we could see china had done it in 2021 but there are still miners on the ground in China mining BTC as measured by hash rate. Bitcoin is the rebel they couldn't take control but this is understandable as government doesn't want any currency competing the USD. they may be successful in the first few months in enforcing but eventually the miners will be back.
1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: September 10, 2022, 05:11:32 AM

I don't get why everyone is bashing on a young fighter who has a couple of fights, going against other beginner boxers. It's like they expect Jake Paul to go against Cancelo or someone, but then they'd be saying Cancelo took a easy fight. I don't think there's any winning in this, people just won't be happy regardless.

I say good on Jake. He's made a career in multiple industries, and quite frankly has the boxing purists actually wanting to watch his fights now, whether that's to route against him or not. Mayweather built a career on people wanting to see him get knocked out.

Jake Paul has been a pro for 2.5 years already. He is not just a beginner anymore. It is time to step up his level of competition beyond no-hoper washed up athletes if he wants to be treated as anything besides a freak show attraction. It's not a great sign for the state of boxing when this kind of garbage is getting so much hype and media attention.

Jake is just hated so much because of his bravado. that's why most wanted him fall. but this guy is smart. he probably is watching Silva work out and find out what Silva can do at his age before making some deals for both of them to fight. if he is picking a fight, it shouldn't be anything to be surprised as well. but Silva could actually have the edge against Jake.

1826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Merge will change Ethereum blockchain consensus on: September 10, 2022, 04:43:03 AM
the chain will split with though so in case ETH POS will not work,  investors can always go back to the ETH POW. that is sort of a back up plan for everyone in case this shift to energy friendly ETH will flop.

for the obvious part, nothing stops the stakers from selling ETHpos which i really believe will fail. while POW makes the miners aim for higher prices because of the energy cost.
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's next for cryptocurrency? on: September 10, 2022, 03:42:24 AM
So,friends
What do you think about today for cryptocurrency?
What do you think,is it the beginning of a bullish period?
Looks like a good correction in a positive direction
I think that this isn't yet the turning point of the Bitcoin and the crypto market right now, what I do think in my opinion and what is about to  happen is a move towards the $30k price level with a week double bottom pattern and coupled with the Ethereum merge event coming up on the 19th of September will put us in that $30k price target, then after that I do think that the "sell the news" event will happen plus the Federal Reserve meeting and decision on interest rate hyke on 22/09/2022 event could pull the market back and a grab of liquidity will occur, because institutional traders like the double bottom a lot and that grab of liquidity could put Bitcoin to test the $12k it monthly order block, where the will be very much exhausted and we could finally see the bottom of the market.

you are scaring us  Grin

there could be truth to this because when the pump in the previous week where price touches $24k, but the charts doesn't look like it pivot to turn the market up to start a bull run. we have a long way to go still and the crisis all over the world may affect that BTC price. there is even a US congress  bill that could lead to BTC mining ban.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Regulations on proof of work might be coming on: September 10, 2022, 03:21:29 AM

they know very well renewable could not last in power crunching mining devices. if they are doing this, its their country  that will just be affected. other countries will continue mining using fossil fuels. but i wouldn't be surprising this law will cause conflict again to countries where miners are free to mine BTC.

this could be one the reason for declining BTC dominance also  because ETH seem to be the most preferred by the macro investors.
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: September 09, 2022, 11:03:36 PM
With the missed weigh by the main event fighter Chimaev.
So he fights Holland instead and Ferguson will fight Diaz.
Dana White announces it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2LhWQp5y-k

confirmed it here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UFC_279

they messed it up our picks. holland isn't going to win against khamsat still. all that happened yesterday and the cancelled conference was i think all because of this new sorting out. did the team sees nate will surely win that he he chicken out and they see kevin has the chance?
1830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Scam Tokens in the name of late Queen Elizabeth on: September 09, 2022, 02:10:30 PM
despite the warnings many of the newbies fall for this thinking the price will go up and they can double the investment instantly. there are many of them talking in social media about these queen meme tokens. and they are reminded of doge and shib to entice them to buy.
watchout for joe biden inu and putin inu. while its not yet out, warn the newbies already.
1831  Economy / Reputation / Re: Why I have been hated by the Bitcoin Forum leaders? on: September 09, 2022, 02:27:19 AM

well you are the ambassador now as  you claimed, you can do some diplomatic approach. somehow users will not believe you have the knowledge how BTC works. Offshore Bitcoin transaction platform is funny actually. believe it of not there is nothing like it. but seeing you ask people to make transactions with you is like trying to scam.
1832  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 09, 2022, 02:17:43 AM
One's dream and passion are everything. I believe that if you are passionate about doing the things you love most, regardless of your age or whatever challenges you may have, you will work hard and generate excellent results. Age is only a number; anyone, regardless of age or appearance, can pursue their dreams and passions.

age can be a factor and most of the time prevents an old man doing what he does best. some old people realize it too late and starts doing it before dying. its why some bloggers have the bucket list to fulfill. because age may just be a number but the physical health will be the biggest factor.

for the young and with opportunity, but wasted the opportunity. he will look back to it and could see, it would have been the right time. many of the people realize it too late. there are many factors. some old men blames their wife before their wife stopped them from pursuing a career abroad for instance.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Mobile Gambling Is Leaving People Ruined and Unable to Quit on: September 09, 2022, 01:38:41 AM

gamblers were already struggling to stop themselves from gambling in the traditional casinos,  the more it will be a struggle when all a gambler will do is just sit down and open his phone. there could be a lot of gamblers right now that has this problem.

within my street alone, i have seen housewives playing a casino game (Pusoy Dos) that will make them earn real money. they are addicted to it. what they would do to the real money is probably gamble as well when addiction strikes.
1834  Economy / Economics / Re: Fuel prices hitting an eight year high on: September 08, 2022, 11:51:45 PM
It's even uncontrolable in our country. It's the worst economic situation that we're in. Poor people are suffering and others are trying to look for extra jobs because everything is getting unaffordable including imported goods. The oil price hike is being announced each week and it's continuous. There might be rollbacks but the hikes are still higher.
In our country the price of oil for all needs has also increased and that is due to the increase in the oil used for daily fuel so that everything else also increases. And what I am afraid of is the magnitude of inflation that will occur here when the simple and poor people no longer have the effort to buy any goods because their ability has run out. And it's only the rich who don't feel destitute in their lives that perhaps the rich don't feel the effects of an increase in all goods.

its not going to be rich in times like this because they're also going to be robbed. if you just watch the news daily about robberies and killings, you'd be afraid to allow your family to go out.

price of gas will rocket more because Putin had sanctioned EU also through his Nordstream. their leaders are affecting the world. I might just be using bike forever.  Cheesy

1835  Economy / Economics / Re: US congress set to consider legislation to BAN proof of work on: September 08, 2022, 11:25:10 PM
this started when the NY legislature passed the bill cracking BTC mining. its to stop miners using carbon base fuel sources which we thought its going to regulate mining farms which they need government approvals much like the Bitlicense.

its getting grander up to the congress. those BTC miners moving out of NY can't just operate by moving to some other state, they have to move to other countries if congress consider. this is the same as China did but mining continues in China.
1836  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: September 08, 2022, 04:19:52 PM
I started this topic 4 months ago and warned about the food crisis that is going to be caused by fertilizer crisis. The "European Fertilizer Producers" just figure it out recently! Their representative announced that the fertilizer industry is already in a full-fledged crisis!
"As a result, over 70% of European production capacity has been curtailed. If the situation prevails, we fear that remaining producers could also be affected."

Interestingly enough they blame the over 1000% increase in gas price, but that is only part of the reason. The major imports of components they used to produce the fertilizers are no longer being sold to them as I said earlier which is why they can not produce enough fertilizers anymore.
Lithuanian fertilizer company, Achema AB has already said as much when they announced they will shut down soon.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-08-26/europe-s-fertilizer-crisis-deepens-with-70-of-capacity-hit
https://www.newsweek.com/europes-energy-crisis-turning-food-crisis-opinion-1740228

i also dont understand why purposely ban fertilizers from the beginning, it started a chain reaction up to starve countless countries. Sri lanka as i have watched a documentary about it, their president ban fertilizers because they alooking forward to organic planting. the result was that farmers not planting crops instead.

old fertilizers still works like the guano but farmers today are not very familair with it.
hunger clouds judgement of people, which they do bad stuff like robbing qnd looting.

1838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 08, 2022, 04:59:42 AM
price will stay low for a long time because it won't shoot to the moon before halving. two years more so you are lucky that you can afford to DCA weekly. many users in the forum earns BTC thru campaigns. that's just what i would do as well.  but i would rather be trading though than keeping it on a cold wallet.

The thing is, Inoue can withstand the punches of Donaire, which I believe punched way harder than Butler.  So with that, I believe Butler's power punch isn't a problem for Inoue.  But of course, it is just what I think and may be proven wrong.

and that i can believe the monster will still be victorious. one can consider this a mismatch since inoue is a top p2p boxer. inoueis built to absorb hits and counter a stronger punch.  you can visually see donaire put a mass to his right cross but are just lightly taken by inoue. if it were just the kind of Fernando Montiel, the opponent will already wobble on the ground.
1840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cardano (ADA): A New Cryptocurrency and More on: September 07, 2022, 11:27:29 PM
^ ICO seem very odd. ADA is  more for SPO afaik.

i really don't see projects using ADA's smart contract that is above the rank of CMC. if they can't make it there, ADA will still be a project that may not surface to be adopted by majority. in muesliswap, most of the tokens i see are defi projects never been heard before.

will it change when djed stablecoin launched?
