1821  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 21, 2019, 02:31:50 PM
When people ask, What do you do for a living? I have a full time job, but I also trade crypto-currency.  I do not like telling them about my currency and Bitcoin activities because when I tell people about trading currency online our relationship sometimes changes. They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.

Does anybody relate to this?

I do feel the same way, I once mentioned to a very close friend of mine that I have been trading cryptocurrency or bitcoin and the first thing my friend told me, oh noh that’s a scam and that i’m only wasting my time in bitcoins. It’s just sad that some people look down on bitcoin without really knowing what it is and what it can do. Now, I seldom open up to my friends about me trading because they might say something bad again. I’ll just do my thing and maybe soon cryptocurrency or bitcoin will just speak for themselves.
1822  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Pinoy takot paren sa crypto-investing? on: May 21, 2019, 11:14:11 AM

Pangatlo, "Never invest in a business you cannot understand" - Warren Buffett.

I tried to guide my friend and explain na ganito ganyan pero alam mo yung tipong nakikinig pero di sinasapuso. Siguro need lang more time kapag madami na tumatangkilik sa cryptocurrency magbabago din paniniwala nila.
1823  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to trading? Learn to be an emotionless trading machine on: May 21, 2019, 09:01:18 AM
Honestly I'd like to see new traders experienced all things that a trader must avoid because that will be their key foundation for much stronger and wiser decision in the future. Those errors, mistakes, too much emotion etc. that they will experienced on the way will be the things that they will now avoid or control in the future because they already used to it.

In such cases, that after a "long time trading" and that trader still not learned and experience continous losses then it might be the right time to change course as trading is suitable to them.

I couldn’t agree more, in that way they’ll be able to come up with strategies on their own a long the way. Getting more experience and the more new traders exposed to trading they can learn a lot and make them better traders over time. Mistakes are inevitable even those experienced traders still make mistakes from time to time and I think it’s normal what’s important is they have learned from that mistake and make sure to do something not to make the same mistake twice.
1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trader don't speculate? on: May 21, 2019, 08:07:38 AM
I disagree, as far as I know even professional traders speculate, speculation plays a significant role in trading because if your are able to speculate accurately then you have high chances of getting profit. You can’t just trade without speculating because if you do then you might just lose.
1825  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why trading is unhealthy? on: May 21, 2019, 06:27:21 AM
In my opinion, everything that you do if not done in moderation will become unhealthy and that includes trading. It is true that you really have to monitor the market price to decide wether to sell or what not but it doesn’t mean you have to keep look out for like almost 24/7, get yourself a break from time to time. If it is getting tiring for your then stop, don’t push yourself to its limit because its not going to be good.
1826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not be Greedy on: May 21, 2019, 06:06:05 AM
In my opinion, the best time to sell is when the market price of the coin is 20%+ higher than the market price at which you bought the coin. Dont wait till the market price is 95%+ before you sell. That only happens when you got your eyes glues to your machine 24/7. Dont be greedy... Make a little profit and grow it over time. Cryptomarket is growing and full of terror! Be careful

Well its good to have this mindset but whether we like it or not, most traders would want to have higher profits and 20%+ price wouldn’t be good for them even for me. Besides, I don’t think its being greedy, I think it is more of being patiently waiting the right time to trade.
1827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy too much coins because you would eventually forgot gosh on: May 21, 2019, 05:49:25 AM
Good advice, thank you. This is so true, we can’t monitor all the coins we have and keep up with the swaps. Can’t the developer team do something for you? Try contacting them and see whether they can do anything or not.

I agree, 0.3 btc is a lot already maybe someone from their team can actually help you recover it. Anyways, thanks for the advise though I was planning to buy other coins but good thing I didn’t buy them yet. I thought it would be easy to own a lot of coins, thank God a got to read this now I have to weigh things first and decide for the better.
1828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be the main currency in Mars? on: May 21, 2019, 04:31:50 AM
For real? It’s so interesting, bitcoin is not even the main currency in Earth all the more in Mars. It’s good that he is thinking outside the box but I guess it’s just crazy to think of making it the main currency Mars, i’m sorry but the more I think about it, its just so impossible. Anyways, goodluck to him, hopefully he can make impossible possible, we just have to wait and see.  Smiley
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - A Game of Luck or Strategy on: May 21, 2019, 04:10:30 AM
I dont know if my strategy is called strategy or it is called self control.
Like in boxing. I do 1,2 jab! Then run.
In gambling, play, win, run! Truthfully, from my experience you will never win in the long run.

I think it still considered a strategy not to loss so much and at the same not get controlled by gambling. Some people may not agree with this but for me, its best to have this kind of mindset because it will help you save money though its not big profit but who cares so long as you have saved something rather than losing everything! Kudos to you because you have so much control, I tried to do the same but I really can’t do it consistently I got carried away with my winning and tend to bet more in return I lose to it.
1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MORE TYPES OF BITCOIN SCAMS on: May 21, 2019, 03:59:52 AM
These scammer's strategies mostly target beginners for they aren't aware of the possibilities that might happen and they could believe in these strategies easily.
It's a good thing that you're sharing these things for awareness. We should really be aware all the time to get rid of these scammers.

I agree, since beginners don’t have enough knowledge yet about bitcoin and these types of scams they tend to get persuaded easily by scammers about doing this and that. Scammers now are very intelligent and they’ve put a lot of effort to make it look like a legit one so we should be really careful who we transact with. On the other note, thank you for sharing this guide, it will serve as a reminder not only to me but to others as well to be more cautious in whatever we will be doing.
1831  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not money on: May 21, 2019, 02:17:33 AM
Bitcoin may not be the literal money that we use to purchase anything in the world but we can convert it to the accepted currency and buy something. If what your saying is true that it is an artwork, it shouldn’t have so much value attached to it.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Stories and Possible Solutions on: May 21, 2019, 01:56:19 AM
A lots of people get addicted to it because of their personal situation and their life it will leads to they want some treatment for that but gambling edition will not be get out for long period of time while you are losting money so we cannot do anything against it most of the people will definitely be include a solution for this.
I know a lot of people have tried using their problems as an excuse to gamble. It’s just like any other addiction that you encounter. Finding different solutions to gamble. And the reasons for it not so good. They are just making it worse.

That is true. Gambling addiction cannot be fought alone. The only true way is to talk about it to friends and family and ask professional help. The casino will not care, it just wants your money. The addicted person also should be aware that he is addicted and should also desire and want to get helped from professionals.
It is definitely not going to work if you, yourself doesn’t want to. I think everyone can agree on this. I think it’s too much if you seek directly with professional help. I think friends and family would be enough except if the person is really in too deep.

Maybe two reason for this to be happening, one is that the person may lost huge amount of money in gambling now trying to recover the losses by playing more bets the other reason is that user won huge money still trying to more money because of greed.
Definitely the first reason that you have. No one should be too greedy or they’ll end up regretting what they have done.

Yes, I agree, some people would enter gambling even when there broke because they are thinking that if they gamble they can win big money. The intentions are good but the problem is when they got addicted to the point where they don’t know when to stop anymore even though the odds are not in their favor. Solutions are always present for every problem the only challenge now is if the gambling addict will accept it, if not then nothing can be done to help them.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share your winnings in blockchain games on: May 21, 2019, 01:03:59 AM
I don’t really remember but i'm really not lucky in gambling, most of the time I win on the first few games and then I'd gamble higher because I thought it'll become bigger but then I lost, my winning and deposits were both gone with the wind. But despite that I still gamble and this time after I win on the first few games i’ll keep my deposits and just gamble with my winning in that way I can save my deposit.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the 1st thing you'll do if you win Megah Moolah's jackpot? on: May 21, 2019, 12:47:36 AM
Damn I don’t know what the first thing I’d do is but trust me I’d be ticking off everything on the bucket list. Life opportunities would be endless. That is one hell of a massive jackpot.

That's true! Can't really tell as well what i'm going to do as well but I guess i'll buy a house & lot, travel all around the world with my family and friends even  Grin, make investments and build business, donate some to a charity and more.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Triggers Gambling Addiction on: May 21, 2019, 12:32:10 AM
Emotion or lack of control of it . They just keeping playing at expensed of their financial health & well being

I agree, they let gambling take control over of themselves. They continue gambling even when they're almost broke because of the hope that they might be lucky and hit a jackpot when in fact the chances of winning is very low. Self control is very important in gambling because you don't have control you might lose everything.
1836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play at a casino where payments are delayed for days? Why? on: May 20, 2019, 04:00:43 PM
I think for some they still want to play at casino with delayed payments but as for me, I prefer casino with instant cash out because you've worked hard to have those winnings and delaying the payment will feel like they're depriving you from getting what's yours. For me delayed payments can make a gambler lose interest on that gambling site in the long run.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why not play games online instead of gambling? on: May 20, 2019, 03:27:58 PM
Well, its true that most gamblers to play for fun and entertainment but it is more challenging if you have a bet. Yes, it is also true that there's a lot of good and challenging online games out there but those games becomes boring in the long run and most of the time you'll lose interest because nothings at stake unlike gambling when you gamble you get challenge in making a strategy to increase your earnings whole having fun.
1838  Economy / Economics / Re: Dont believe on sale on: May 20, 2019, 01:05:55 PM
Sales are everywhere. Sale on shoes, bags, shirts, gadgets and everything. Malls and shops use this technique to attract buyers, but you know what?  Do you think you've been discounted a higher price than ordinary? No. Instead of saving 20%, you spend 80% on things you dont really need. This is not economical and most of us are easily lured to it. This is what i hate about people. When there's useless trending items on sale, they buy immediately even on credit cards but if bitcoin drops, they talk negative about it. Normal mindset wants to get temporary attention. Not permanent comfort.

I totally agree, that is the normal mindset of people they wanted to take advantage of the sale regardless of whether they need it or not. Even me before I was lured in taking advantage of the so called sale but then I learned my lesson the hard way, was able to purchase shoes at a discounted price per say I took advantage of it then when I checked it at home remove the sticker tag and found another price tag which is cheaper from what I paid for and also a friend of mine has a friend told her that sometimes items on sale are not really on sale they just put higher price tag to look like it on sale but in reality it's not on sale and they even have profits from the sale price.
1839  Other / Off-topic / Re: Where u use bitcoins? on: May 20, 2019, 12:06:36 PM
I use bitcoin to make online payments, shopping because some online shops accepts btc, I also use it in trading and occasional gambling. On the other hand, we can actually buy or use it for almost everything but we had to convert it to fiat first because bitcoin is not yet considered a valid mode of payment but hopefully in the future.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What kind of poker player are you? on: May 20, 2019, 10:48:41 AM
I am more of the ones who uses money from previous bet to get big rewards, in that way I don't loss anything and also it is a way for me to limit myself from playing some more. Also, in that way I won't feel any stress or pressure since its my winning, so i'll tend to just enjoy playing regardless if I win or not what's important is I enjoyed.
