If Fajardo is still unavailable, then it should be a nice matchup.
Speaking of Fajardo, he will be out for at least 6 weeks base on this article.
https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/smb-big-man-june-mar-fajardo-diagnosed-with-mcl-injury-a793-20230314?ref=feed_1_section
Quote
The San Miguel therapist hopes everything will be fine for the big man in six weeks' time, meaning Fajardo could return in action if ever the Beermen advanced to the finals.

I already quote that juiciest part of the article, and the most hurtful one as well for us SMB fans. His injury that he got in the EASL affected him and his playing time here in the PBA. Kind of unfortunate that he is just coming back from his injury that he got 2-3 years ago I think, and yet here he is again with another injury.

As for the bet, I think risking on the NLEX winning might be a good choice still because SMB has no Fajardo. That alone might be an advantage for the Road Warriors, but on the other hand, I don't still want to underestimate the SMB because they still have Tautuaa and Clark that can play for Center position.

Anyway, I'll just add that the Converge FiberXers can't find a replace import still after they removed Franklin on the team. They also said that Franklin isn't practicing with them anymore. With only a few days remaining, I wonder how will the FiberXers compete especially now that they have a twice to beat disadvantage.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 14, 2023, 07:50:52 AM
Warriors won!
Steph and Klay were hot in the 1st half making a 25-point lead. But the Suns never gave up and pursued a close battle, they did and even got close to a 3-point lead. But the early foul trouble and bonus for the Warriors at 6 minutes left in the 4th are what made the difference, then there's Jordan Poole who suddenly got hot.
Did they shake hands after the game? I didn't see it. Seems like even Damion Lee is creating some trouble against Jamychal Green in garbage time.

Great to hear that the Warriors are back! They seem to be on a roll lately, with two consecutive wins against tough opponents in the NBA, the Bucks and the Suns. It's always fun to watch Thompson shoot his normal, and he seems to be more comfortable now in the 3 point line. He has been consistent lately with his shooting, which is great news for the Warriors.
Warriors won "ON THEIR HOME" where they have one of the best home records right now.

TBH, I'm more nervous than exciting on how the Warriors are playing this season. Yes the Warriors are winning on their home, and like you said, they beat Bucks and Suns who are at the top teams currently, but that's on their home. What if that happened on the road? Will it be the same.

Anyway, that's Warriors' 8th straight home win, but they are on a 8-game road lose streak as well. They are 1st in 3-pt FG% on their home, but only 29th on the road which is a huge disparity. Anyway, Splash Brothers + Poole lead their team scoring 81 of the total 123 points. Klay exploded for 33 points in the first half, and got 8/12 3-pt shooting while the team overall got 14/21 from threes in first half alone. They ended the game having 14/39 3-pt shots. The Suns made a comeback in the 3rd quarter putting the lead of the Warriors as low as 4 points, but the good thing is that the Warriors made a small run to end the quarter leading by 10 points, and eventually the win.

Now the Warriors will be tested because their next 5 games will be on the road. It will be against Clippers, Hawks, Grizzlies, Rockets & Mavericks. They are currently 5th at the standings right now, but if they will not adjust on their next games and will still lose on the road, a 3 loss out of these 5 road games will put them down as low as 9th spot, so they need to make some adjustments before their road games.
1843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 14, 2023, 07:03:03 AM
When you think of any altcoins, any or most of the investors will first think Ethereum except maybe for the newbies who only know only one altcoin.

Now to answer your question, Ethereum is King of Altcoins? I don't consider it as a King or whatever it is at all. I think using the word "King" to an altcoin is kind of irrelevantat all. The word "King" is being used to a male person or maybe some animals, but not on an altcoin or any coin.

Let's not make it more complicated at all. Let's just say that Ethereum is the top altcoin in terms of market cap.
1844  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gamble continuously because have surrendered to the situation on: March 14, 2023, 06:36:43 AM
I feel pity for this guy that the OP has posted, and I wish that he learned a lesson from his losses... but he doesn't and he still wanted to continue to play slots. A very unfortunate turn of events for that guy. He got money from his father, but instead of using it for their own good, he used it for his own good thru playing slots. He sold everything as well just to play slots.

This is a prime example of "Gamble Responsible". Same like with drinking liquors where they always say "Drink Responsibly". It's the same with this one. Maybe putting him to some experts might help him and at least decrease or even remove his addiction with gambling.

I got a picture sent from a friend who said there was a slot addict who no longer cared about anything in his life, even his family had left him because of his addiction, luckily he is not a criminal, he doesn't rob to gamble but if you have a friend like him, would you advise him to stop gambling like crazy and return to the family? because there is no way you can stay with him, you have a family to take care of!
For now. He isn't a criminal, and he isn't a thief, but what if he will do it in the future just because he don't have anything to sell anymore, and he doesn't have any money to use to play slots? For now, it's good that he isn't doing it, but there is a chance that he might do it in the future.

Like what other people does, of course I will advice the addicted person especially if he's that close to me. On the other hand, there is a limit on how I will give him advice. I mean if he doesn't listen to my advices, what's the point of helping him if he, himself doesn't want to do it. Return him to the family or put him on the rehabilitation center.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some of my big losses (Gamble Responsibly) on: March 14, 2023, 06:15:31 AM
Please only gamble what you can afford to lose and if you don't have discipline or control you shouldn't be gambling. I can't stress that enough.
Sadly, they don't care about that. What they care more is the possible earnings that they can get when they gamble.
I've seen here in forums users who are sharing their worst moments in gambling. I've seen also here some of the best advices that a gambler can share to those who had bad experience in gambling.

There might be some who are learning after they experience the most hurtful thing that they can experience, but there are some who are hard-headed and will never realize their wrongdoings. There are still gamblers who after losing huge amount of money, will again gamble without any discipline or can't control themselves at all.

Winning and picking in bets takes time. What others see is only the winnings, but they aren't looking at the amount of money that they've spend and the possible losses just to get that amount. Like OP said, LUCK plays a big role in gambling, but aside from that, I believe that attitude plays a big role in gambling as well.

Is Ja Morant back on the Grizzlies line up? I was just wondering because they are currently the favorite against the Mavs. Is it because they are on a winning streak while their opponent is still struggling to find that right balance? Maybe I'm missing something here.

Interesting developments in the West with less than a month to play. Top 3 teams probably through but still tough to call who will make it to the top 6 or even the play in tournament.

No, Ja Morant is still not playing but the Mavs will not have Luka Doncic today because of a thigh injury and Kyrie Irving is questionable as well. I do not know why they are favorites because aside from Ja Morant, the Grizzlies are also missing Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and 2 others. It is a good time to bet for the Mavs since they are solid in home and the Grizzlies are bad on road. You should take advantage of this.
I saw a Facebook post from Bleacher Report FB page (a reliable source) saying that Ja Morant will be away from the Grizzlies "INDEFINITELY".

I bolded the word indefinitely because that's the key word with this one. Many are expecting that he will come back and play for the playoffs, but with what happened, we might not see him playing on this regular season as well as the playoffs.

Base on that post, he entered a counselling program in Florida and there is no timetable for his return. This is a bad news for the Grizzlies and their fans. Adams, is out and might come back at least in the playoffs. Clarke is already gone for the season because of his injury, and Morant will be away indefinitely because of the issue. Good thing for the Grizzlies is that, they have Tyus Jones who is playing really well as their reserved point guard. They will still enter the playoffs, but the question is that, how high they will achieve?

Houston Rockets vs Boston Celtics (-12.5) = Boston Celtics Win 1,90 Odds.

You've just gotta give these young Houston Rockets team huge credits for their win against the Boston Celtics and their stars, The chemistry between those young rookies were rock solid today, and you'd expect them to fold when the Celtics came calling back with a run of their own, I really have not seen them played so connected this well, although the Celtics can be said to have had a rough night, but I think such statement would only undermine the efforts of the Houston Rockets players because the win was well merited in my candid opinion.
Boston Celtics struggling losing 4 of their last 6 games. The good thing though is that their 4 losses are against teams above .500 except the Hawks and Rockets.
Denver Nuggets is also struggling currently losing 3 straight games, and 2 of these 3 losses are from teams that are below .500 (Bulls and Spurs).

Is there a problem with these 2 top teams right now? I mean losing is normal I get it, but losing to a low-seeded team? Well, maybe it wasn't their night to win. Give credits to the Rockets indeed because they defeated the Rockets thru their collective effort offensively. Martin Jr, Smith Jr, and Green combined for 72 of the total 111 points. They spoiled the 43 point game of Brown. Good game for both teams, but the question now is that, is there anybody here who put their bet on the Rockets before the game? Cheesy
1848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of project we shall look into to prepare for the next bull?? on: March 13, 2023, 04:28:09 PM
So, what kind of project will be more benefited in the next bull??
In a bull run, all of the projects are being benefited thus, the coin of that project increases by at least 2x or even 3x.
Top projects? Top 50 coins? Top 100 coins? Some Low market cap coins? You name it, they all increase.

However, the most famous coins or those at the top are the ones who will benefit the most in a bull run, and I'll specify Bitcoin on this one because why not? I mean it's the top cryptocurrency, and most of the altcoins' prices are moving the same as how Bitcoin's price moves. Another one who will benefit the most are the projects who will be the hype during the bull run. During the last bull run, it's the NFT's who benefitted hugely because of how many investors invested into it. Some turned out as scams, some are still developing and some just rug pulled.

P.S. I just saw a Facebook post with regards to this rumor, and Sangalang himself debunked it saying that it was all fake newsCheesy Cheesy
You can look at the Facebook Page named "We Are PBA Updates". They posted it there. Well, I guess this is the end of that rumor?

That's great news. At least he confirmed that he will not be retiring. Sanggalang is still young, and I'm sure that as long as he works hard to get back in shape, he will still be the same player who contributed a lot to his team. Another big man who I haven't seen playing anymore is Mac Belo. He used to be a great player, but it seems like his career in the PBA didn't work out well. What happened to this guy?
Mac Belo??
I guess he's out of the league already.

The last team that I know he played was in the Blackwater and before that, he's on the Meralco Bolts. He's one of the promising players in the league in his prime, but when he's on the Bolts, he didn't have much playing time for most of his stint there. One reason is that, his position and the import's position is the same, so the coach gives more time to the import obviously thus, he's been benched and he will only play in the final minutes of the game. Second is injury. I think he's injury prone in his prime though he's a great player.

Unfortunately, there isn't any news regarding him on which team he is currently, or he retired, or he is playing with other basketball leagues whatsoever. I remember him being a scorer back when he's still in the Blackwater.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Addiction Test on: March 13, 2023, 12:55:47 PM
I answered NO in all of the question, and I'm just being honest.

1. Do you spend lots of time thinking about gambling or planning a gambling activity?
2. Do you need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to feel excited?
3. Do you unsuccessfully try to cut back on your gambling?
4. Do you feel irritable or restless when you try to limit your gambling?
5. Do you lie to loved ones about your gambling habits?
6. Has gambling interfered with your work, school, or relationships?
7. After losing money gambling, do you often return to it with the intention to make up for the loss or break even?
8. Do you have to ask others to bail you out of financial troubles due to gambling?
9. Do you ever gamble when you feel anxious, sad, helpless or guilty?
1. No. I'm only spending less than 30 minutes gambling because most of the time, I'm only gambling on sports bets. What I'm doing when I'm putting my bets is that, I'm looking both team's statistics, and a bit of analyzation then after that, I'll just watch games.
2. No. I can say that I'm a disciplined person when it comes to gambling, and I know how to limit my spending when it comes to it.
3. No.
4. No. Like I said, I can control my spending on gambling.
5. No. I'm not lying to them because they don't know that I'm doing it.
6. No. I'm making sure that, my work, my relationship with others is my priority before gambling.
7. No. When I'm losing, I already consider it as a loss and will accept it. Will not make reckless decision just to recover my losses.
8. No. I didn't ever experience having financial troubles with gambling as the main cause.
9. No. I have many ways to remove my negative feelings, and gambling isn't one of them. Playing online games is one. Going outside with other people is another. Eating food while watching videos is another.
1851  Local / Pamilihan / Re: PHLWIN Fraud/Scam nga ba? on: March 13, 2023, 12:28:11 PM
Meron sikat na quote sa crypto world at ang sabi "A project isn't a scam until it become a scam."

Nakita nyo yung Lelegold? Wala silang lisensya sa PAGCOR at hindi nila sinasabi sa public kung saan galing yung mga funds na binibigay nila sa mga nananalo. Hindi nagtagal nagshut down yung app, yung game at naging ponzi scheme.

1852  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Being drunk while trading what was your experience on: March 13, 2023, 08:32:54 AM
The question is, can you trade while you are already drunk?
Yes you can. The question is that, can you still make a good decision while being drunk?

I tried one time, but didn't enter a trade because I didn't see any entry points that I feel I'll be safe or gaining profits. I'm not totally drunk at that time, but I'm half drunk so I'm have a feeling where I want to sleep, but at the same time, I want to trade more. Kind of confusing, but that's what I felt at that time. Ending is I didn't trade and just waited for my dizziness to be gone, and then I proceeded in trading.

I guess it isn't advisable to trade while drunk though you can still trade, but you might make decisions that will make you regret once you're not drunk anymore.

Once again, Poole's production has dropped significantly. I don't know if this will help them much. I understand that Curry and Thompson are the usual scorers of this team, but seeing Poole's low production sometimes disappoints me.
Poole's low production is because of him giving limited minutes because Curry came back already.

I don't know, but I didn't see Curry and Poole being on the same court together because they are playing on a same role. If they will play both, their back court will be very small, and that will not work with them at least in terms of defense. Poole exploded on his last games and that's because Curry got injured thus, he has more minutes to play. Now that Curry's back, he has lesser minutes, but his performance against the Bucks is simply unacceptable. 4/13 shooting? Well, it's not his night maybe. Cheesy

On the other hand though, he was one of the best offensive players of the Warriors last playoffs when they won so, maybe we expect a better Jordan Poole when playoff comes. Smiley
1854  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: March 13, 2023, 07:45:49 AM
Lack of financial literacy, lack of opportunities, destiny.

Lack of Financial literacy
- I guess this is the main reason as to why poor people stays poor for their whole life. Lacking a mentor who will help them teach with regards to finance and how to handle money is a problem. Well, the good thing though is that, there are many videos online that you can access for free where you can learn at least how to handle your finances.

Lack of opportunities
- I guess this is another problem as to why people stays poor. If you live in a province (like me), the job opportunities really are limited compare to if you are living in an urban area where there's lot of job opportunities. The good thing though is that, there is this thing called "work from home" where you can work online thus, you don't even need to go to a city just to have online. The only thing that you need is a skill that you can offer online.

Destiny
- Kind of surprising, but I guess people stays poor because they are destined to be poor. There are many reasons to this such as lack of resources, or lack of things that will help you become rich.
1855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 13, 2023, 07:19:26 AM

Anyway, I will only bet on the Lakers-Knicks today and will go all in with the Lakers. The Knicks are kind of struggling though they are the one team who has a very good road game record. Still, I'll go with the Lakers even though without Lebron. They are playing very well, and would love to see them continue their winning streak to 4. Smiley Good luck to all bettors.

Unfortunately, the Lakers weren't able to play with the same intensity they showed when they beat the Knicks. This time, they lost the game with AD only scoring 17 points and having a very bad free throw shooting night, making only 1 out of 5 attempts. The New York Knicks won the rebounding battle, and they shot well from the free throw line compared to the Lakers.
Well, a close one, but a very entertaining match.

I lost my bet to them, but still I'm ok with it. Looks like Davis is having a hard time scoring as he only scored 17 points with this one. I don't know if he either he doesn't want to shoot the ball that much so that his teammates can contribute on offense, or he's having a problem that we don't know (probably injury). He isn't 100% I guess that's why he's playing like that.

On the other hand, the duo of Randle and Barrett lead the Knicks scoring a total of 63 points to lead their team to victory after losing 3 straight. I thought that I will see the Lakers on .500 because it has been a long time since they got above .500, but it seems like it isn't happening at least this time. They'll play on the road for the next 2 games, and maybe they can win on both games to get to .500.

Is there anyone into agriculture and farming that are accepting Bitcoin?

What advice do you have for me at this point?

Should I just give up for now and wait for the future maybe when Bitcoin gets more popular? Or Bitcoin and farming makes no sense together?
You forgot to make a research regarding these old people that you are saying.

You said already that they're old therefore, they didn't encounter things like Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general, and will never try to learn it anymore because they're old already. At least you consider that factor as well, but you didn't, and even though you encouraged them to use it, they didn't even care at all because they don't want to learn it or use it.

Just give up accepting Bitcoin in your current business especially if you knew already that it will not work. As per my observation, those establishments who are accepting Bitcoin are establishments that have been built in an area where there's many people like in malls. I didn't even see anything that's related to agriculture that accepted Bitcoin as a payment. Saying that it makes no sense isn't the word, but maybe it's better to say that we aren't ready for that thing.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 13, 2023, 02:39:19 AM
Speaking of injury, i have read reports/rumors that Ian Sangalang might retire from the PBA due to health issues. Anyone knows here what's the real situation of Sangalang as i have not seen him playing for some time now.

As far as I know, only a whole season, about a year or so. Maybe the health issue now becomes a big deal.

Unfortunately, things happened but damn, Sangalang is one the best big man in the league.

He's reportedly showing a loss in his weight and maybe it's now becoming serious to the point that he will retire.
It's an undisclosed injury or illness, so we can't speculate that much in terms of his career in the PBA, but one thing's for sure. He will not play this Governor's Cup anymore.

I can't find any articles saying that he will retire because of his illness, but I agree with what you said that he's been one of the most prominent big in the PBA especially his presence in the paint can be felt by their opponents because of how good he is.

Anyway, a rumor is still a rumor until there is no official announcement yet so maybe let's just pray him to recover, and come back to the league. I don't know who will replace him in the Hotshots because we know that Reavis is only a few years away from retiring.

P.S. I just saw a Facebook post with regards to this rumor, and Sangalang himself debunked it saying that it was all fake newsCheesy Cheesy

They are still seeded number 1 in the West and slim chance to lost that seeding. However, they need to start to win again. This lost is big because it's in their homecourt. They will have to travel to Toronto for their next game.
If they continue to get these losses, there might be a chance that they might fall down in the standings especially now that the Kings are on a 3 game winning streak. I don't want this to happen for some reasons, but what if the Kings take over the top seed because of how the Nuggets are playing in the last 3 games? Kind of funny I know, and for sure this will not happen, but still there is a possibility. I hope that they will on the road against the Raptors to at least gain a bit of momentum

Anyway, the 1st half of the Lakers-Knicks has just ended, and it is a close match with the Knicks leading by only 3 points.

Currently, it's a Randle Vs. Russell show because both of them are scoring 20+ points in the first half alone. Randle scoring 25 and Russell scoring 23. Davis on the other hand scored 12 points. Which team did you put your bet with on this game? Cheesy
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 13, 2023, 01:04:20 AM
Did anybody watched the Nuggets-Nets game?
The Nuggets lose yet again on their home. It's their second straight home game loss, and this is the first time it happened to them this season that they lose 2 consecutive games on their home.

It's the second consecutive time as well that Jokic got a triple-double and loss. I'm not thinking that there is a problem with the team, but I guess fatigue is getting them, or I don't know. Internal problems? I don't think so. Well, they are still 5 games above the 2nd seed Kings, but this 3 game losing streak of them might cause some negative comments online... or not.

All this wait, same price for months, sounds like the calm before the storm. Maybe it's time for BTC to take off and reach the $100K. Just saying. This price is a joke for BTC's potential. Of course all we can do is hope. But it makes me wonder why it's not happening yet. Right now BTC is cheap as peanuts. Luckily 1 BTC = 1 BTC.
Many are waiting for that "TIME" where Bitcoin will reach $100,000. Smiley
Is it this year? Probably no. The chances of it are very low to close to zero especially if you will follow the 4-year cycle. I believe and many believe that Bitcoin will reach $100,000, but not this year... or is there somebody who is that optimistic to believe that it will reach that price this year? Cheesy

Hope? I can't apply it on investing at all at least for me. The only thing that I can apply is be patient. Be patient for the bull run to happen again because we all know that markets move in cycles right? After a bear market, is a bit of an accumulation phase and after that, bull run happens.

I'm also curious too as to why it isn't happening as well. Maybe this isn't the time to happen.
