Aston Villa are still continuing incredibly well. They have added another win to their streak. This was their eighth home win at the same time. With this performance they can even fight for the title but it is still early to talk about that of course. Because their consistency level will determine that. However for now Aston Villa are definitely doing much bigger work than their capacity.

Currently the team that has the biggest chance of winning the title is Liverpool, followed by Leverkusen. Leverkusen did perform very well in the group stage by getting all the wins. But we all know that Leverkusen have relatively easy opponents in the Group. But I still appreciate it because Leverkusen showed an extraordinary performance by conceding only 2 goals. I think Leverkusen is the most favorite team to win Europa League title, followed by Liverpool. Meanwhile Liverpool already got 1 defeat. According to this fact, Leverkusen is very clear as the most stable team in performing well. However, when it is in knock-out phase, it is possible for some changes. Stable teams like Leverkusen can be difficult to perform well because the opponent will be stronger. I just hope Xabi has a special way to maintain the motivation of Leverkusen players. Dortmund lost the game to Leipzig but it was not just because of the good performance we saw in Leipzig but I think Dortmund was making many mistakes in this game and to be honest, after all these mistakes they had during this team, Leipzig won the game was not surprising at all. This season is the most interesting season I have ever witnessed in the premier league in terms predictions and outcome of the games.The no one spot "the leading team" is like a hot seat for the big teams this season and non of the major contending team spend time on top of the table and they go down, with the pattern I'm seeing playing out this season, I kind of think that the league is between Liverpool and Arsenal than it is in the hands Manchester city. Now they are top of the table while they await result of how it’ll go down at Villa Park, but one thing I’m sure of is that no matter the result over there, Liverpool are real title contenders and would pose a huge challenge to Arsenal and City. Well the season is still far and things could go great or sour, what remains is football. Let’s see how this Liverpool side will be gunning for their title Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool has been very impressive and outstanding this season and knowing how important every game in the English Premier League can be, they've consistently been able to get good results even in games they aren't playing to their full strength. Aston Villa are facing a bigger challenge at the moment because Arsenal are playing much more effective than Manchester City. However Aston Villa are still very good at keeping their 1-0 advantage in the game. But Emery must be still worried about a comeback so he would have a good talk with the players at halftime for certain. Aston Villa have an amazing home record so far (which is starting as of last season). They are still winning since then and they want to add another one to their series. Their being able to do this against even top teams of the league is incredible. They are literally one of the EPL title contenders now.  They had opportunity to make use of their first 5-10 minutes chance to get an early goal in the match, but after then, they are not fully in the game because Arsenal were coordinated and are now given them too much pressure. If the match continues like this, Arsenal will win the match because they are creating more chances and pressure against the Aston Villa defense. If Arteta was able to give the players a bit motivation in the dressing room now, they will comeback strong and do what Liverpool did this afternoon against Palace. The first half of the game between Aston Villa and Arsenal is almost over and the Villans are still hanging to their one goal lead despite all the pressure from the their visitors. Arsenal has been very wasteful in the first half because they've created many chances but failed to convert them. Unai Emery's reactions from the stands shows how worried he is because he knows Arsenal are capable of coming back to the game and win in the second half. Considering the number of Arsenal misses, Aston Villa might still hang on to claim another win that'll boost their confidence and quest to finish in the top four of the English Premier League league at the end of the season. |

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is said to be open for offers coming to Casemiro, Sancho and Varane.
I understand the Sancho situation because he can't find middle way with the manager so he is expected to leave as soon as possible. But I don't know whether they really need to part ways with the other two players I said. It is true that both of them don't play like in the past. But they are still qualified players who can improve their performances in time. If they send both of them they had better find really solid alternatives.
Manchester United paid Real Madrid £41 million for Raphael Varane. They also paid Real Madrid £70 million for Casemiro. We can say that these players are new to the club. I think Erik ten Hag should make an effort to utilize them in positions that fit his system. Also, if Manchester United continue to be so frivolous with transfers, one day they will go bankrupt. If they go bankrupt, the Arabs will buy them cheaper. I think they have huge problems administratively. And if the administrative problems are not solved, it is impossible to see success on the pitch. I read the report of Erik Ten Hag been open to offers for three of his first team players in the persons of Casemiro, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane and couldn't help but wonder why he'll want to let go of players that's not spent up to four years in the club. Manchester United spent hugely in bringing this same players to the club and there's no way they can make up to half of the money spent on them if they should leave the club in the winter transfer window. I think the club has been poor with their transfer decisions lately and that's why a lot of the players are already surplus to requirement at the club. Casemiro hasn't been effective for the club like he was for his former club Real Madrid, Jadon Sancho hasn't played since he had a rift with the club manager and series of injuries suffered by Raphael Varane has affected his performance. Hopefully clubs are gonna come for the services of the three players but that I think will be difficult because of their current financial wages at Manchester United. |
