1921  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 11, 2022, 08:10:48 AM
And I will say that it was really boring, a snoozer fight and I'm right. When I check the score afterwards it is Vargas who won on the score card. So I guess Magsayo is just another hype fighter, just B level to me, in my opinion. Not in the same breathe as other Filipino greats like Manny and Nonito.

It has become boring because Vargas was just playing with the points, he made sure to use his advantage over Magsayo and he was really effective in doing that. He got a good coach as well, so I'm not surprised that he won the fight. Magsayo has the power but he lacks speed, he could not destroy the defense of a taller boxer, so I guess better luck next time if rematch is going to happen.

<<<snip>>> and that they'll be able to keep the most important players particularly the big 3.
As long as they are playing with great chemistry, there should be no problem with keeping the big 3.

Curry, Thompson, and Green, are the foundation of the Warriors, they keep their bond together and together they won many games and championships. No need to add Durant or any star that would make the Warriors sacrifice the key players, they have to keep the core of the team while developing the younger ones.

Game 2.  Ginebra vs TNT.

Mikey Williams has to bounce back here, he had a bad game against SMB, and looks like he is not having a good start in this game as well. He only scores 3 points and already in the 2nd quarter, their top scorer is Pogoy with 10 points. TNT might not win if Williams will struggle again, so I'm thinking of betting on Ginebra while they are still down.

He now has 17 points but the shooting percentage (6/16) is not good, but looks like TNT is still in control of the game, end of 3rd quarter already and they are still up by 13 points. Well, let's see if the NSD team will have a big run in the 4th quarter, they are good at this, so let's see.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 10, 2022, 12:33:31 PM
The latest update Vargas beat Magsayo by a split decision Magsayo scored a

Vargas SD-12 against Magasyo (115-112, 113-114, 115-112) to become new WBC Featherweight champion.

Vargas dominated from round 3 to round 8 with his stiff jabs, he uses his height and reaches advantage to ward off Magsayo's attack, I don't know if its over confidence but it seems Vargas has played his game well compared to Magsayo but this one deserves a rematch if there is in the contract that there is one.

That's actually a good fight and well deserved for a rematch.
That was the fight between a close combat and distance fighter. Vargas was spectacular from rounds 3-8 keeping his distance and a good jab to dominate the whole game.
Magsayo had his chance in round 9 on wards but he did not take advantage of it when Vargas got shaken with that huge round 9 knock down. Magsayo clearly lacks of head movement, footwork, and a follow up punches. He solely rely on his power punches.
Nevertheless, Vargas dominated the fight.

Magsayo didn't think he would lose the fight so he was not so aggressive when Vargas went down, you know, he might be thinking what if Vargas will hit him with a solid counter that would result in him losing. If he was desperate to win, he could have gone for a KO in that round.
1925  Economy / Speculation / Re: Have we reached a bottom price for BTC? on: July 10, 2022, 10:59:02 AM
are we really reached the Bottom ? because this has been happening for almost whole 1st half of the year and yes bitcoin continues to Up and Down so how would some of us can tell if Bitcoin will really in the bottom or there will be more.

but one thing for sure is that there are so much to come in the coming months .

and expecting the climbing in the next following years.
I can't tell either...
The market just moves up but never does it go far away from $20k and yet, it drops back again. We are certainly confused if we have already reached the bottom or if there is something worse to happen like a huge decline. People are still optimistic about the incoming events, despite the dumps and possible huge drops, however, they are still buying more.

It is to whether we have already reached the bottom or not, we still need to be prepared always. Anticipating the market is quite important and we are supposed not get surprised, otherwise.
1926  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I Almost Gave Scammers Access To My wallet This Morning. on: July 09, 2022, 11:25:29 PM
A great lesson from being "HURRY" as this sometimes caught us neglecting to read carefully and even not being able to verify if that is legit or not as we are very curious and pushed with the time limit as it was running out.

Good thing OP you have realized at it was a scam before clicking the confirm button and even saving others' money. This is to say that scammers and hackers are now getting aggressive, they always find a way, and although you save some people, it for sure there are have been fall already into their hands.
1927  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance will be ban in the Philippines? on: July 09, 2022, 10:54:40 PM
Ban or Closure of the Binance.ph is possible if they are proven guilty by SEC. I don't find a reason for an excuse but I know that Binance.ph had already known the consequences of not acquiring any papers to run a business and in fact, they are a big company as it also ruins their reputation. But, I doubted they don't take action and submitted the requirements to become legal as they are in the Philippines for more than 1 year ( correct me if I'm wrong). Maybe the approval just take so long and that was not their fault anymore.

1928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 09, 2022, 01:37:21 PM
It's very obvious that most voters here are Filipinos, so we cannot prevent but to be biased because we believe that Magsayo will win and we support him. Yes, we will be seeing this big fight tomorrow, but I'm not sure how to watch this, is there any streaming site that would give a free pass for this event?

I do hope that someone will share any free streaming tomorrow,  Smiley

But yeah, it's obvious that the votes will be biased, but the betting public is the complete opposite. Even those so called experts could also be different regarding this fight.

And I do hope that confident of Mark being shown in the weigh-in will translate in the fight as Vargas has the experience and the advantage. And good point that on Mark being a slow starter, but in the middle of the rounds, maybe he can go and look for a knock out.

There will be free streaming tomorrow for sure, you can search on Facebook and you will see some streaming channels that would just ask for a GCASH Donation, however, I cannot say that they will give a stable free streaming coverage, so, be ready for any interruption.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 09, 2022, 01:16:04 PM
Looks like we underdogs are all winning the games today.

Rain or Shine won the first game and Coverge are leading now against Northport in the 4th quarter, so they will likely win this game.
Easy money if bettors go into ML parlay of the two underdogs.
1930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Every "Bitcoin is Dead Headline" is a Buying Opportunity on: July 08, 2022, 09:41:44 PM
Therefore,
don't hesitate to take advantage of the current bear market situation as an opportunity to buy some coins that we consider potential.
After buying some coins, we just hold on patiently until the bull market comes, later we will get a big profit.
That is the mindset we need to acquire. While the others look at this situation in a negative way, we make it the opposite and consider this as an opportunity. Of course, we can make a profit overnight, the bear season is still about to stay for a little bit longer that is for sure. And aside from being positive, we have also to acquire and practice being patient with the market as it never changes instantly. So, if we can make all of these things, we can therefore say that crypto investment is for us.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 (September 17) on: July 08, 2022, 01:23:50 PM
...he may be 40 years old already but he's not that easy to defeat.
I agree with that because in the last two fights against Canelo, all were controversial fights that's why we have this trilogy, who knows, maybe GGG will surprise the boxing community and he will KO Canelo Alvarez, I'm sure lots of bettors will be happy due to the good odds.
1932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to staking - is this worth it? on: July 07, 2022, 11:43:10 PM
You have to be careful with this quick rich scheme OP. You can't just disclose the idea and scam tricks that have been commonly used by scammers. It was best to invest and just hold your funds in this situation in that way, you can assure that your money is safe.

I wouldn't trust in such interest rates being guaranteed. 5%-6% annually is usually what most investments can return, now imagine 18,5%. There is something catchy between the lines... Don't expect 18,5% profit, because when the interest is too high, it means the currency is going to lose a lot of value as the time goes by, so the interest received compensate the devaluation of the token. Similar to countries paying high interest on saving accounts annually, but with high inflation rates at same time. They give with one hand and take away with the other.

If besides the interest rate there is nothing else this cryptocurrency offers to you, I think it's better to not invest.
Honestly, 18.5% is very attractive, and greedy people will think I'll be earning huge if I invest and staked. But, they never think about the risk of such an idea, as it was likely impossible for the company to offer such huge rewards to the holder which in fact, they are just about to start, unless if they are a well-established company.
1933  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be safe from Hackers on: July 07, 2022, 10:58:44 PM
High-rank officials and influential people are prone to hacking. Now, dealing with these people can't even be sure if they are the original owner of this account or someone has been in control already. As noticed that some just found they got hacked once there is a report from their friends, it is likely possible that scammers had already found a victim using that account before it traces of changing hands.

Honestly, this ruin the trust system that people had built online and it was found risky even if it was your friend or any of the family members.
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 07, 2022, 11:52:54 AM
We have a great match-up today, it's TNT vs SMB, the odds are very close, TNT is only -1.5 but I think it's hard to guess who will win here.
My pick is TNT because of Mikey Williams, as long as there's no stopper from the SMB team, I believe that 30 points is just too easy for him.
I got the opposite side here, Fajardo is back, he is now a monster in the paint so that alone is already a big advantage for the SMB. Kelly Williams is manning Fajardo, he is too small and a bit old already so he might only get tired as the game progresss. Maybe TNT will win the first half but SMB will come back strong in the 2nd half.
Good luck, this game is really close, SMB had a double digit lead but TNT were able to come back and bring the SMB to a single digit lead only. We are now in the 2nd quarter, hopefully TNT will make a big run and Mikey Williams will have a good 3 point shooting.

Mikey Williams only has 2 points, not a good sign. Angry

1936  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 06, 2022, 10:23:38 AM
Yes that's right.  The martingale strategy only makes sense if you have a large supply of money (or better yet, an unlimited supply of funds).
No one has unlimited supply, so this strategy will not work if you really want to win all the time.
gambling sites are also aware of this, so they will be limiting the gamblers to avoid being abused using the method.

However, in practice this is not possible.  The successful application of the martingale strategy is described in one of Boris Akunin's novels about the adventures of the private detective Fandorin.  One of the main characters, a cold-blooded killer, constantly used this game system in Swiss casinos and always won.

But this literary hero had incredible endurance and composure.  He was very rich and had an unlimited supply of money to bet on.
Maybe choose a game that has no house edge, or a little house edge, but make sure you gamble using your skills, otherwise if you based on luck alone, it will not sustain.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 06, 2022, 10:05:00 AM
Chet Holmgren looking like a good prospect. He put up 23 points, 7 rebounds, & 6 blocks (summer league record) along with shooting 4/6 from three point range. The Thunder might have themselves a good rookie on their hands. He’s going to need to put on weight but Giannis did it. With Chet’s size and skills he could be a very interesting player to watch as he starts his career.
Let's see if he still has the same performance once he already play in the regular season.

This is just a summer league, we have given a picture of his performance but that doesn't mean we will see the same performance in a tougher game.
He got the size, but I don't know if his body can compete against a bigger and more aggressive opponent.

This guy is the number 2 pick, so I believe that he really has potential that's why he was drafted.
Hopefully, he will not disappoint us because  Oklahoma City Thunder really needs him for them to improve their ranking in the season to come.
IIRC, OKC finished with a very bad record, so it's a big improvement if they will at least be in the top 8 which is not impossible.

Santos joins elite PBA 10,000-point club

Wow! I'm happy for Arwind Santos, though he is not a humble player like JMF but we cannot deny he really has some special talent in Basketball. He is already 41 years old and he still keeps balling, this guy will achieve more success as long as he remains healthy as he is in a team that really values his contribution.
Congratulations to him, many might dislike him because of his attitude but this is still an achievement of his that he should be proud of. And on the other news, our very own Gilas won against India after being defeated by New Zealand. That's a way to boost their confidence after that losing game with NZ. Meanwhile, Chot said that it's unlikely Kai to play for Fiba Asia Cup.
Congratulations to them as well, India is not really a good team but a win is a win so they should celebrate. Our Gilas line up is not really that good, I like the old Gilas where Romeo was part of the roster, it really gives us an entertainment because they were playing competitive basketball even against the top seeded teams internationally.

.The old gilas are now a memory of our past, like what coach Chot said he will maximize who are available and regarding to Kai he and his agent have a different plan for his career, though before I forgot a win is a win indeed and congrats to team Gilas they are still playing to the best that they can and trying to bring the pride to our country.
I hope coach Chot will not be hired anymore to lead the Gilas Pilipinas, our team has to improve and we have to stick on the coaches that could really help the team to improve as that's the only way our team will become competitive. Coach Chot has already been given a lot of chance to prove himself, but we already see his limitation, he is only good in the PBA.

We always want our National to be more competitive and lift our country up in this kind of international competitions
FIBA Wolrd, we like to see them compete again and beat big teams like France.  Smiley
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: July 04, 2022, 12:06:43 PM
And then we have a shift of the odds again, very strange, I thought that Magsayo will remain the favorite, nevertheless this is where the Stake.com odds are:

Magsayo - 1.97
Vargas - 1.81

So somewhere, this is a huge money suddenly going into Vargas when they saw him being the underdog. So this is another great opportunity for Magsayo's supporters, because his odds went to 1.83 (still good), but the current odds is much better.

I like it, it is now favored Magsayo because of the odds that is bigger than Vargas. I say it favors because as a bettor that likes to bet on Magsayo, that 1.96 ML is very attractive. With this lots of odds movement, it only tells that not much money are being wagered in this particular fight.
I disagree with that, this is a world champion fight so I don't think people will not be interested in betting on this fight. Maybe there's a shark that bet big money on Vargas and that's the reason why Magsayo is the underdog again, but it does not really matter though because Magsayo will win and we will enjoy that 1.97 odds payout.
