1921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: April 15, 2021, 11:20:34 AM
If you imagine all people in the world abandoning their saving accounts for Bitcoin, it would create an enormous bubble, and the early buyers would profit from it greatly, while the late buyers would lose everything, as Bitcoin would correct by 95% or more. This is just a thought experiment, because nothing like this is going to happen, but still.

I believe that can be prevented if the price is regulated to moderate the volatility without killing its deflationary feature. And the number of people rushing in to invest wouldn't matter much.

You could have a decentralized mechanism that regulate the price by incentivizing people to have their coins automatically locked in their wallets(preferably full-node) when price is down...when price start going up , their coins are automatically/gradually unlocked and sold to buyers at a predetermined  price level that is not too high.
The volatility needs to be moderate and sustainable
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The mayor of miami sells his city as the world's crypto capital on: April 15, 2021, 10:08:20 AM
Interesting.
A true BItcoin/crypto city will actually need to be decentralized and modular. ..I wouldnt mind including other BItcoin ideals on such City. That could help make the city somewhat  autonomous, selfsustaining and part of the Bitcoin Network.
Centralized cities could end up centralizing a cryptocrrency if they contribute to most of the activities on  the cryptocurrency network.

I totally believe that taking big Betting risk  or Gambling in Bets can be curtailed or minimized if we keep teaching people how to be responsible Bettors.
It's actually heart breaking to see people complain about the problems they face due to gambling whereas there are numerous ways they can avoid the problems.

Hope this thread helps people who gamble in bets to learn how to be responsible and successful bettor without gambling or without taking big risk.

Below are My Post Collections on the Gambling Discussion Section:

1. Someone  posted: "Have you guys thought of ending the life after big losses. Right now my mind is thinking of ending the life. It all started with just $700. I lost it, and in the event of recovering those fund I went for a loan and deposited around $2500. Here my fate, I lost everything once again. Then the recovery value increased from $700 to $3200. Here once again I deposited $9000 borrowing. Now that too is lost. My mind keeps saying end the life, with your earning you can't repay the amount lost.
Sorry guys."

- My reply: Seems you are betting with what you can't afford to risk/lose. This is typically what gamblers do. ..They bet with what they can't afford to lose, then get sad when they lose it or start contemplating suicide.
I would advise that you learn to become skilled bettor or stick to betting occasionally with little amount until you  become consistently profitable.

Bet, but don't Gamble.
Gambling is not for smart and responsible people

Hello

So I was going through a story of a girl who literally stole 70,000 Euros to Gamble apparently it all started when she invested 20 Euro and won a thousand and since then she became addicted to easy money.
It made me realize that every now and then there is someone here sharing their addiction stories and it might help to have a particular thread for them to keep all the sources which could help them get their life straight again..
Here is a quote from BBC :-

- My reply and contribution:
What actually makes people addicted to things like games, sugar, drugs, etc is the fun/happiness they derive from them especially when they are sad. So, you need to make sure customers don't get addicted to your products/services by making them less flashy, less sweet, lessen the prize money (so they don't get attached to it) etc. The world is full of addicts who are addicted to movies, foods, games, money, flashy things, etc.
Important Tips for Betting Sites and other Businesses on the addiction issues:
Make your products/services safe and beneficial to customers. Better to have people addicted to very beneficial games,, foods, movies than have them addicted to dangerous ones. Make them good/safe and beneficial just incase your customers get addicted, the products and services will help them to be useful to their societies and themselves.
Also remember to promote Safe Bet

Kids needs to be guided always, unfortunately they are free thesedays instead of being under constant guidance. They get exposed to all manner of things which they would end up abusing or misusing. The bad ones shouldn't be shown to them at all. But they are bombard with them including, porn, gambling, bad foods, bad songs, bad games, etc
I don't support kids (or even adults) to gamble atall. No porn at all, even for adults

Betting sites should make sure that customers practice safe bet.
Kids should only access good betting sites through parental guidance.

Bet but don't gamble.

1925  Other / Off-topic / Re: I wish they would lock down the pigeons on: April 14, 2021, 02:47:16 PM
Reminds me of doves and bats that live and spend time on a tree where a family member's car is always parked. The doves constantly poop on top of the car  while the bats constantly drop  seeds of fruits they ate at night on it.  That  part of the tree was almost cut few days ago and I guess the owner of the car  changed his mind when i confronted the gentleman that was called  to cut it. I guess he was persuaded by my complaints that the dove babies and nests are most likely there and will be affected. Wish they could be moved to another part of the tree  without messing things up for the birds. They really mess up his car sometimes though.
1926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Have you seen people igniting fire to buildings while screaming fire! fire at thesame time? on: April 14, 2021, 02:05:03 PM
I have not seen people setting fire to buildings whilst screaming fire no.

I'm talking about people provoking others people  to violence and lawlessness whilst screaming "violence and lawlessness."
Could you please be more respectful next time?
1927  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happens if everyone has own currency, doesn't a bad for Economics ? on: April 14, 2021, 01:45:17 PM
People will always work to fill the gap (provide goods/services )of the needs of society otherwise someone will always fill the gap and become rich.

Concerning the topic, I think the question should be what will happen if we don't have a Currency that is Transparent, Public, Consensus-driven, Immutable, Secure, Decentralized(rather than centralized), Inflation-proof, Privacy/anonimity-friendly, Based on fair rules, Merit-based etc?
I believe this^ is better than currencies that are Centralized, Opaque, Private, Mutable, lacking in  privacy/anonymit,etc

By the way, I wonder if anyone here can show us between the Decentralized and Centralized features listed above which one likely violate fundamental laws of societies

Have you seen people igniting  fire to buildings while screaming fire! fire at thesame time?

That's basically what the " evil entity" that controls the World  does with people around the world.  It's going to get worse and uncontrollable eventually.
They are intentionally/unintentionally doing this to birth the anti-Christ sooner, but he isn't coming now.  GOD has been preventing the chaos and lawlessness  And all those involve , esp those who provoke fellow cells to lawless/chaos will pay for their evil deeds unless they repent and truely accept the True Messiah, JESUS CHRIST.

The man of lawlessness (who will be very young man ) will arise ,force them to take his Mark and  rule over them all .
1929  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are economic measures effettive to constrast COVID-19 in your country? on: April 14, 2021, 10:33:47 AM
I noticed some weeks ago the media claiming that people were given loans for businesses were I live. I wouldn't doubt that though, because a relative don't have much problem receiving loans from a small bank.
I'm not sure if there is much lockdown here especially for business owners .. they work most times, even without masks or following other strict safety measures... and they look fine, not because they are strong or something. It's just GOD being merciful.
They should still be careful and cautious that the virus is still there.

You should give them some reminder that they still have to follow protocols such as the minimum standard of wearing mask. I think in most countries, they're giving aid and loans for small business owners especially the ones that has to close and stop just to follow the lockdown measures.

Ofcourse. It can be challenging sometimes when they are listening to others encouraging them not to follow the reasonable safety rules.
I play my part couple of times but when they start listening to others, i resort to prayers, knowing they think what is being spread around is true.   GOD has been really merciful, my friend.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free transactions: What's the catch? on: April 14, 2021, 10:01:35 AM
The model could work and remain sustainable in a merit-based system that is based on solving important/useful problems ,hardwork etc.
The problem solving and hardwork could  be applicable to both the validator and user.
I think validators could be graded and automatically rewarded by the network based on number of transactions they processed, speed ,the quality of their work, efficiency, etc.
1931  Economy / Economics / Re: Can the government hijack Bitcoin? on: April 14, 2021, 09:26:38 AM
It's unlikely that a Just Government will target a Community-driven Network that's well  Decentralized, Transparent, Immutable, Ruled via network consensus, Anonymity-friendly/Privacy-friendly, Censorship resistance,  Secure, Based on good rules etc ..

The above main principles/ideals can  also make hijacking BItcoin by a lawless one difficult .

1932  Other / Off-topic / Re: This simulation is horrible on: April 14, 2021, 09:04:07 AM
Did all this happen in a simulation?
I hope it's mere simulation and not real. By being real, things done in the simulation has to be replicated in real life...otherwise it's mere simulation. Hopefully, it didn't affect your real life.
1933  Other / Off-topic / Re: Take care of your health on: April 13, 2021, 03:17:32 PM
You can work hard for your own future, but on the basis of health, eat more light, not too oilyand not burden your body. Wink

Ofcourse. It has to be really good oil/fat consumed  in moderation.
Good oil or fat is actually good for the body. It somewhat does to the body what oil does to machines. If a machine is allowed to work too long without enough oil/lubricant it would not work smoothly, it gets hotter, wears away more quickly due to friction.  I feel this happening sometimes  in my body,  esp my head/brain until i consume good oil/fat in the right quantity and then my  body gets better.
1934  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”? on: April 13, 2021, 02:46:43 PM
Just focus more on buying the dips...
In my opinion, one of the easiest and safest strategies, would be to focus on buying  significant  dips with small amounts money  (esp money that would've  been spent on things you don't really need ) and sell whenever you need some money for other important things.
This is more profitable from my experience, especially if you focus more on main cryptocurrencies  like Bitcoin

1935  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which continent do you think is the Poorest/least in the World on: April 13, 2021, 01:26:39 PM
Well, the comments surprised me a bit. But the disease, violence, and other negative comments concerning the continent is not really why I posted that.
It is important to note that any continent that refuses to be what satan want it to be will likely suffer similar fate.

So,I think the problems is the "stubbornness" to "evolve" according to the will of satan while not totally accepting  GOD to lead them.
By the way,  I believe GOD wants them not to be like the top countries/continents for a reason. Earthly riches is a trap. It imprisons people, and those at the top of the riches are more strongly under the control of the Matrix.
So ,the entity that controls the Matrix will see the poor ones who are outside of his control as threats and will constantly attack them until they give up and become like others both in riches and way of life.

They are more of traditional people and are not worse than others from my experience. People tend to take advantage of their humility and they endure as long as possible until the anger can longer be held back.

1936  Other / Off-topic / What is the likelihood that this will happen when the "Red king" is given power to continue ? on: April 13, 2021, 12:43:14 PM
The time for  power to be given back to  him is very near, but what is the chance that he will remember that someone was constantly praying for him, stood behind him during his trials,  and will anyone show appreciation ? Well, what will happen after he is given power may surprise or shock you.

1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of paper wallets? on: April 13, 2021, 10:19:40 AM
It's actually ok to store your keys on paper, but i would advise you to duplicate the paper that contains your keys and store them on multiple safe places. If one is lost or destroyed in a disaster, you can always replace it with other copies .
If you are worried  about the  papers getting damaged ,you could write your keys on scrap metals & a paper, then bury/hid the metals  in different locations for long-term storage  and  keep the paper for regular usage. If the paper get damaged, you dig up your  scrap metal and copy the keys on a new  paper.
1938  Economy / Economics / Re: I think Bitcoin is the biggest bubble and ponzi in the universe or it isn't? on: April 13, 2021, 09:46:38 AM

and the so call bitcoin exchange outthere     they execute the buy and sell order by matching it and  then cancel it out
before  put it into the blockchain so that it looks like the transaction is in real time but actually it isn't

YOUR TRANSACTION NEVER APPEAR IN THE BLOCKCHAIN

I guess you are referring to centralized exchanges at the top bolded part.
Anyway, transactions are supposed to be real-time, peer-to-peer and decentralized. You can mostly get that on truly decentralized trading exchanges that enable traders with nodes/wallets trade with each other within a decentralized network. Unfortunately, traders trade with each other within  typical centralized exchanges .
1939  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 13, 2021, 09:20:46 AM
Hello to all! Another topic about casinos and games. I started playing at THIS CASINO quite often. At the very beginning I thought I would just play in the evening, but one evening turned into a constant game during the day. On the first deposit, I was lucky and I took out a little, it was x3 of my deposit and I was happy. Recently, I just started making stupid deposits and trying to win something and I understand that this is self-deception, but I cannot stop and make more and more deposits. I decided to make the 1st level of VIP, but for this I need to make a turnover of 10k dollars, but I am a player with low stakes and this is difficult for me to do. You seem to understand everything that you will lose, but you go to play again. How to get rid of gambling addiction?

[mod note: removed referral link]

Was it  skill-based games/competitions you bet on, or luck-based ones ?
I think you should be more careful if you are depending on luck rather than skills.  When it's luck, bet with little amount you can afford to risk, and this kind of betting should be occasional. You could gradually raise your bets when you start becoming profitable and skillful. ..otherwise your bets should be with little amount you can afford to risk. It's important not to get too attached to your bet as an inexperienced bettor .And you likely not get too attached if aren't gambling in bets or taking big betting risks
1940  Other / Off-topic / Re: Social order on: April 13, 2021, 08:53:35 AM
When we say that human beings are social, we impute that they interact with one another. The interaction is in most cases patterned and institutionalised so as to regulate human behavior. when through institutionalization certain behavioural patterns are maintained in a society overtime, one can conveniently analyse the structure of that society. Therefore, when we speak of the social order, we pass on the meaning that social relations are patterned in specific ways. The specific ways could be ideal, which refers to what ought to be, or behavioural which is the actualization of what ought to be.

And it's important that such  patterning and institutionalization aren't done by the blind who certainly will be puppets doing the works of an evil entity that control them, and guiding the people they control/pattern into the pit of hell
