1941  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Mobile wallet with Electrum server via Tor on: January 20, 2023, 11:23:45 PM
Electrum mobile only has 2 options to connect Electrum to the server Socks4 and socks5 is the only option where you can hide your Electrum wallet to connect to a custom server.

However, you can make your own electrum server locally with hidden tor service and connect your Electrum mobile directly to your server by typing it manually in network settings just make sure to disable multiple connections and enable the one server only. Additional privacy option while connecting to your Tor Electrum server you can configure your proxy to socks5.
1942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Are you finding a virtual assistant as a Campaign Manager? on: January 20, 2023, 06:40:13 PM
Why would you let other people use your PC/laptop that's a bad habit personal PC/laptops with wallets shouldn't be shared with anyone even your wife/husband it should be all private, and you should the only one who can access it.

I never heard of a campaign manager looking for VA here on the forum.
Have you tried to offer your skill on Upwork or Fiverr? I saw many people out there looking for Virtual Assistants so maybe you can get a job there.

Or maybe try your luck and post your skills on services section
1943  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: NERF antminer s9 hashboard to run 1-5 asic chips ULTRA low power on: January 20, 2023, 12:59:18 PM
Have you tried to check the firmware from ASIC.to they do have firmware with s9 units where you can able to adjust the chip's frequency and power?

I don't think you can disable the chip but their firmware has the manual option to set frequency and power maybe try to set it to the lowest setup or set it to zero maybe it will turn the chip disabled.
1944  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: January 20, 2023, 12:32:26 PM
After messing around with it, all chips and all PCB's are registering super high temps even though its pretty chilly at the moment. Looking at some earlier posts if all boards and chips are registering high temps that means the power supply has crapped out?

No usually high chip temps sometimes it is due to loose heatsinks or no proper ventilation. Do you mind telling us what exactly your room temp is?
You can try to run the miner with low power mode let's see if it can help to drop the chip temps.

There is other thing that I would like you to try there and maybe this unit also has hidden settings where you can able to adjust frequency and voltages.
Check the Mikeywith guide here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5247179.0
And then set the voltage/frequency to the lowest and gradually increase it depending on the chip temps until you find the right spot.
1945  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Hex Editor Search for 2012-2015 Electrum Wallet on: January 20, 2023, 12:09:51 PM
The issue I'm running into is I see pieces and references to electrum but I'm wondering if there are any beginning-of-file bits or common hex strings that I can search for which would show me the beginning of a wallet file.

I think it's a random string you can't just easily find them by searching it through hex strings there is an old discussion about this that you can find here "Hex pattern for electrum wallet".
Check the post by HCP it should explain about the wallet file with different hex strings.

The easiest one that I can suggest is to use a search tool just like what I said before if you have already done that thing then possible that you named the wallet file with a different name. 20TB is such a huge drive the software that I mentioned above I tested it for big drives to find the right file you can try the advanced search.
1946  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: January 19, 2023, 11:59:50 PM

What guide? nobody wrote a better guide on the 17 series temp sensor than mine  Cheesy, jokes aside, I just noticed they used my guide in their post, and to be honest most of the knowledge I acquired regarding the 17 series when dozen of issues were coming my way when I bought those piece of shit gears actually came from ZeusBTC, they were probably the only reliable source of information, I "mined" the info they had online, got in direct touch with the founder whom I had a good relationship with, they never failed to provide me with the info I needed, add to that my awful experience with those gears which made me eager to learn about them, so ya I might have summed up the issue better, but ZeusBTC still remains the source of the most of that knowledge (gotta give credit where credit is due).

I'm thinking about this account ZeusBtc.com registered this month they can make a guide and point people to their own guide but this one is not.
What I think is that he might be pretending as Zeusbtc and grow up using that name without real Zeusbtc knowing that someone uses their name here on the forum.
Like last year someone pretending to be Electrum support but the real purpose they use that name to scam people.
1947  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Hex Editor Search for 2012-2015 Electrum Wallet on: January 19, 2023, 11:39:31 PM
Actually, that's the default path where you can find the wallet file if you can't find it there you maybe use a portable Electrum before. If yes you can only find the wallet file in the same folder where you open the Portable Electrum usually in the download folder or on this path below

Code:
C:\Users\Admin\Downloads\

Why don't you try to use explorer search and use the keyword "wallet" you can maybe find it. You can also use this tool called Everything to find the wallet.
1948  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer T19 stateAbnormal TEMP on: January 19, 2023, 11:27:49 PM
No room ventilation or way to take the hot air out of the room might cause the abnormal temp which is why the hashboard disappear due to overheating,

Would you mind sharing the kernel logs here so we can find some hints about the issue under your miner's kernel logs?
1949  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: AvalonMiner 1246 on: January 19, 2023, 11:04:29 PM

Did you say before about aging miner it was mentioned by avalon support but I am not sure how to do that.

Many Thanks for any advice

I already post it before from my previous post that you can try aging just download the tool from Canaan the link is already my post above.

Make sure to download version 2.3.3 because the other FMS tool doesn't have the aging button that's the easier one.
However, you can download other FMS tools and use commands to aging the miner. You can find commands on my old post below including the Aging command.

Newbies do not allow to PM anyone here unless the user you trying to contact has enabled "Allow newbies to send you PMs." they can receive it.
The only way that I think that you can remove this restriction you need to become a Jr. member above or I don't think copper membership can remove the restriction
but buying it will lift some restrictions. Or according to old post here for a brand new account you need to make 1 post and wait for the 4 hours after that you should be able to use the PM.
1951  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which portfolio tracker for Iphone? on: January 18, 2023, 12:42:59 AM
There is a blockfolio before but it seems it was removed from AppStore due to FTX.

Anyway, would you mind checking these two trackers below this is what I installed a year ago on my friend's iPhone

- CoinTracker – Crypto Portfolio
- Delta Investment Tracker
1952  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166 pro volt problem on: January 17, 2023, 11:59:03 PM
How about with parameter. Check this post below and look for reaging command that includes parameter don't change the value because its the default one.

If not, the hash board might have damaged parts that cause this. I dont know this one will work but would you mind to remove that hash board and try run the rest
1953  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Avalon 1166 pro volt problem on: January 17, 2023, 12:16:47 PM
That's a PSU signal it sends abnormal values maybe the replacement PSU is defective.

Would you mind trying to re-aging the unit? It can help to refresh all hashboard and optimize them.

You can find it on the FMS tool that you can download here https://www.canaan.io/service/447

Aging button on the left side of the settings

Take note the other FMS tool there don't have an aging button so download only the 2.3.3 version this is the only tool that has an aging button.

The command you want to send might be a wrong command or parameters that is why I suggested the default one using the 2.3.3 version then try it if there is a changes.
1954  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ hashboards keep failing on: January 17, 2023, 12:05:44 PM
Sometimes it is due to overheating your room doesn't have proper ventilation you need to take the heat/hot air out of the room.
PSU is might be also the culprit but without the kernel logs we can't determine exactly what your miner issue is.

Also, if you can access the dashboard copy the kernel logs and paste them here with "insert code tag" a # sharp button while editing your posts so that it won't look messy. Or you can use pastebin.com to paste the kernel logs there and share the link here.

I have a few suggestions would you mind trying to flash it back to stock firmware and test it if it's running fine.
If yes then possible you overclocked the miner with braiins OS that turn one of the hashboard overheating.
1955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Remove Your Seed/Recovery Phrase From Centralized Password Managers on: January 17, 2023, 11:29:33 AM
Yeah, I heard about what happened to LastPass but to be honest we still need a password manager, and most of a password manager is centralized, why we need password manager because I personally keep changing the password on every account which is good since using the same password will get you hacked when one of your accounts got hacked.

Right now I'm using google chrome default password manager but my brother doesn't recommend it so they take me to Bitwarden that they say this was open source
I agree with some points but I do not recommend using such tools to save passwords to any accounts that involve money. I'm fine with social media accounts and forum accounts but for exchange sites, wallets, or bank accounts storing your password to any password manager is too risky and it can be targeted by hackers soon all user's passwords are leaked. I am more safe writing them all on a piece of paper than storing them to any password manager even it is opensource there are still possibilities that it can be hacked.
1956  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Lost access to coins Bitcoin Core on: January 17, 2023, 11:10:13 AM
Thanks I looked. The thing is, I only know 1 character. There are backups.

If you only know 1 character this will take years before you can recover the wallet since you said it has 30+ characters which are impossible to recover or I think you will need to run a BTCrecovery for years or maybe decades.

If you just bought the wallet.dat from someone else and the password is more than 5 characters missing then it's hard to brute force even 3 missing characters is not easy to brute force unless if you have a good RIG for brute-forcing.

And another thing is that if you bought this wallet file you are most likely scammed because most of the wallet file out there are free that you can find somewhere here in the forum or other blog posts.
1957  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17+ Wont mine, socket failed to connect, total packet loss on: January 16, 2023, 11:44:43 PM
I hope that you know how to use the insert code tag a sharp # button while editing your post it may look better than pasting the whole logs without it.

Anyway, what I see most of your logs are read temp/sensor errors it might be overheating or maybe the 3rd hashboard has a loose heatsink, and actually the miner itself is trying to fix the issue by gradually reducing the frequency.
Miner heatsinks sometimes loosen during delivery that's a common issue the only solution for that is to find that loose heatsink and reglue it with thermal glue/adhesive most recommended glue is an artic silver thermal adhesive to reattach the loose heatsink.

Another thing that I notice is the fan doesn't have signals

Here's mine with an insert code tag do this in your post above it will attract more people to come here and help you.
Code:
2023-01-10 23:26:26 driver-btm-api.c:1255:init_fan_parameter: fan_eft : 0  fan_pwm : 0

Would you mind to try to remove the 3rd hashboard first and let it run and let see if the two fan are running fine because sometimes abnormal fan can give different logs to other hashboard but the only culprit is the fan. So make sure to check if the two fan is working fine.
1958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Remove Your Seed/Recovery Phrase From Centralized Password Managers on: January 16, 2023, 11:21:55 PM
Why would you save the seed phrase backup into a centralized password manager or any password manager this software was just created for passwords not for very important backups like private keys or seed phrases.
Backup seed phrases shouldn't be shared with anyone for the safety of these back-ups you need to manually rewrite them into a piece of paper or save it to any device offline so that you are far from leaks.

If you are going to use any software that has a cloud server like a password manager then that's risky there are many people being hacked because of sharing and using weak passwords, leaks, malware, virus, phishing, and many attacks online to protect from harmful online activity always backup your important data to the offline device(That you know you will never connect it to the internet forever). I have a laptop with broken LCD but all my backup I can still open it and connect laptop to external monitor so that I can still access it and all my backup are there and safe the only problem is that it is still Windows 7 I disable/remove wifi/internet connection of this laptop to make sure I never use it to any online activity.
1959  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ads might drain your wallets on: January 16, 2023, 01:01:05 PM
The big mistake is why did he click the ads? For me, if there are ads shown in my search result or app I never click them to avoid potential phishing attacks or malware.
I guess after what happened to him he will learn and change his habit just like what happened to me after being scammed by cloud mining sites I stopped and never invest any more in any investment site(We know all people are the same we always learn from mistakes).

Yea it gets a lot of bad rap because they have a token, but you don't really need to have the token for it to work to its full potential.

Actually, their free token is useless you can't able to withdraw them only selected countries can able to withdraw their token to their two partners Gemini and uphold. I have almost 8Bat it stuck there and can't able to transfer because they currently do not support my country.
1960  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: My s19 xp 141T is giving only 90T per second.Plz help to find out the issue frds on: January 16, 2023, 12:42:46 PM
~snip~

Next time make your own thread related to your issue under this section or at least put all your logs inside the "insert code tag".

Anyway, what is your current miner temp under the dashboard? Maybe it throttles the speed due to high temp try to take the temp lower or set your fan to 100% might help to cool down the miner a bit and force the miner to run at a high hash rate.

Also, would you mind checking the miner settings under mode if there is a turbo mode choose that if there is turbo mode but I guess they remove it for new miners only sleep and normal mode is usually what you can see there.  You can also try to flash the unit with the recent firmware available from Bitmain.
