1981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CannabisCoin [CANN][X11][Official][2] Developments & Discussions on: April 08, 2015, 12:08:05 PM
I agree. Thanks for the update; every now and then some news is always good.

I spent the last weeks accumulating a nice amount of CANN when it was around 2000sat, because I really believe in the idea of this project. It combines crypto with the outside world, tends to increase its real world use and fights for a topic which is important for all of us, if you're smoking or not: the right to be free, to make your own choices and to be treated as a grown up who can make his own decisions.

That is what this project is standing for, for me, personally.

So, besides a nice increase of the price in the coming days, weeks and months, I wish you and your project all the best, D9!

I agree with you 100% DrMike. Cann is going places and anyone jumping off the train for short term profits is going to regret it. My group has been accumulating it for the past 4 months.
One from the group speaking: I can fully support that statement! CANN has so much room left to grow (heh) and it was a 100% good investment.

You're not a nice person. Blackmailing and destroying things on purpose, just to fit your minor needs, is really cheap.
Aren't you able to talk to the developers like an adult if you're not satisfied with the block reward? Discussing and solving stuff like grown ups?

Are you also stealing old women's purses if you need money? No offense, I'm asking out of sincere interest.

bstymaster Just ban this stupid ass.

stupid ass! you can ban me from the forum, but this doesn't stop me from attacking the coin.
INCREASE BLOCK REWARD, that's the only way to stop this.
or watch your shitcoin die

I'm no rusky! Meet my demands or die. Fork coming again.  Assholes

new block reward demand: 3470 BSTY

No more TX until then.

FUCK YOU DEV. FUCK YOU ALL

You do know that changing the block reward involves a hard fork, do you?

Holders Cann, do not try to derail the market coins if you need to sell, do it wisely! More than 10 btc in one hand not to take )))  Grin As I posted some time ago, the market will push the price of coins for 3200 sat. in the current market conditions.
Looks like we already exceeded that. More to come, happy to see this coin increase so well.
If that rally continues until 4/20... well, I think I don't need to say more!

Heyho,

just a short note - I discovered some JavaScript warnings and an error when loading the index page:
Code:
Uncaught ReferenceError: pagespeed is not defined
2015-04-03 16:32:14.868 all.js:64 Invalid App Id: Must be a number or numeric string representing the application id.
2015-04-03 16:32:14.901 all.js:64 FB.getLoginStatus() called before calling FB.init().
Should be easy to fix Smiley
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Newsletter Beta for Altcoin markets: charts & more on: April 03, 2015, 01:39:47 PM
Hey guys,

at the moment, the system offers a lot of information. As one of my main goals is to make usage as intuitive as possible, I - as the person who has developed all this stuff - expected everyone to know how to use all available features on the platform.
When speaking to people, I found out that this often is not the case. For that reason, I am currently about to implement some guidance elements which give general hints on how to use the provided features.

I thought about some kind of help button which is available on most pages which you can click to get information on what you can do there. This way, the information is available on request, but not visible all the time.

If anyone has any ideas, like what can be improved etc, I'd be thankful for any advice. I want the platform to be useful for those using it, so any suggestions are highly appreciated. Smiley

Happy easter!

I implemented some layout improvements, site stats and - finally - market sentiments charts from Bitfinex and OKCoin. Check out here: http://bitshit.shice.info/bitshit.frontend/dashboard

The predefined limit of 50 users for the beta phase has been reached, but as things progress well, I decided to leave registration open.
1989  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This thread is dedicated to Bitcointalk's "Truthful" bitcoin scammer on: March 16, 2015, 01:43:01 PM
Does it make sense to open a thread about a person without giving any information at all? Doesn't that give strange incentives to others?
I don't see any value in this.
1990  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I receive Negative without no reason, please HELP. on: March 11, 2015, 03:46:14 PM
TC is a fair guy, if you can proof that his claim is false that you are a scammer, he will remove it

Hello dear,

So now I'm a scammar?  Huh
Because I try to help people that's why I'm a scammer?
Mu proof is here https://perfectmoney.is/business-partners.html

You should elaborate on this proof.

If he's convinced you're not a scammer of course he will remove his review but you need more than a link. Elaborate and explain your case.

How is that? Because here, everyone is guilty until proven otherwise? In dubio pro accusator?

.edit: one question: what does "-ve" mean? I often see this in relation to feedback/trust ratings, but I don't know what it means. Is that an abbreviation?
Please, enlighten me. Smiley

Hello to all!

Sorry for my absence. I had some pressing matters to attend to. I'll be able to post more often now.

An update will be coming soon.

No offense, just a funny typo Smiley
As I said: no offense.
Someone once said here that there is no reason to attack someone because of his English skills in an international board like this, and I agree with him. It just read funny, nothing more. Smiley
1992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Newsletter Beta for Altcoin markets: charts & more [11 slots left] on: March 02, 2015, 09:24:20 AM
Good morning,

my last message in this newsletter was quite some days ago. I took the time to develop (besides another small project I'm currently working on: a Google Chrome extension named "WhaleWatcher", which enables you to monitor the volume which is being traded on popular exchanges and with configurable alerts… I'll keep you posted on this) further features for this application.
Users who frequently log in to the website may have recognized that the top coins page is displaying an additional graph for the Tweet count of each coin. This feature has now found its way into the newsletter. I had the idea to connect the "social impact value" of a coin to its price several months ago, because I wanted to find out how these values influece each other.

The results look good so far. Of course, there are coins which show a better resemblance between price and social activity, and there are such where it does not seem to work that well. If you e.g. look at the ARCH chart, you'll notice that price and social activity are directly connected.

However, when using the Twitter data, there are some things to consider:

  • The system uses the Twitter search API and passes over the current market's abbreviation in combination with the financial tag indicator "$". So, for ArchCoin, we're using "$ARCH" as the search key.
  • Twitter's search API does not always return the same data as searches you do directly on the Twitter website. This is known.
  • The hashtags are created automatically. In some cases (e.g. $START or $NAV), those hashtags are not only used in the cryptocurrency realm, so the results might not represent the actual Tweet count of the coin you're investigating.

For the last point, I'm considering the implementation of a solution. One possibility could be to create another table in the database which holds such hashtags which are used in other ways, too, plus alternative hashtags which should be used instead of the market abbreviation. For example, this could be "$NAVAJO" instead of "$NAV". This could be a solution for the problem, although it requires manual work to maintain the data.

Another flaw I recognized recently is that the Top Wallets feature (which should enable you to monitor richlist wallets of certain coins) isn't working as expected. The last entries is from somewhere in November last year. I'll have a look into that, soon, because I think this could be a powerful feature which should just work. Sorry for any inconveniences.

If you have any ideas, proposals or suggestions, please let me know by just replying to this email. I'd also be interested in whether you find this feature useful in the newsletter, or if anything can be optimized (e.g. like some configuration options for the newsletter, so that you can select which graphs to display in the newsletter).

Best regards and happy trading,
Thomas - allyouracid

1994  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whale Watchers trading group on: February 28, 2015, 08:12:09 PM
Yesterday's BTC move upward was great!

General sentiment (Twitter, WhaleClub TeamSpeak) was that we're likely to go down, but knightlife999's system predicted the move upward.
In the past, I had some difficulties resisting the "general sentiment", it influenced me way too much. But in the past weeks/months, I have learned to completely put aside any emotion which might affect my trades and just trust the system and stick to it.

Bitcoin was trading in a very tight channel, the past week. Iirc around 5$+-. When looking at the charts, it did not look like the rise from 235 up to 262 would happen, but I kept my longs (entry price: 236) open and had my take profits spread out for up to 260. They all got hit, it was a decent profit.
All the last cycles showed the reliability of knightlife999's system. When you got yourself under control, it is as Warren Buffet said: you cannot do else but profit.

Sorry to tell this while the group is full. But some feedback from time to time is necessary, anyway. Smiley

Keep up the good work! The newsletter is looking fantastic!
Thank you! Smiley

Today, I have finished a first implementation of the Twitter API (more details in tomorrow's newsletter) which will allow to draw a line (lol, literally - it's a graph in the charts) between price, volume and activity in social media.
More features coming in the following days and weeks - Public Beta (free to join for everyone) for the service on http://bitshit.shice.info/ is running until around the beginning of June 2015.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: February 10, 2015, 02:56:21 PM
Hey everyone,

I'm currently playing around with the API at http://coinmarketcap-nexuist.rhcloud.com/ (this does not seem to be officially developed by cmc, am I right?), as I need some (very basic) data for my project http://bitshit.shice.info/ - I need the total amount of coins in existence.
Of course, I could just count the length of the result, but it feels somewhat wasteful to request, receive and process ~500 items when all I need is a simple result in this form:
Code:
{
  "total_coins": 503
}
Does anyone know a way to achieve exactly this? Smiley
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Newsletter Beta for Altcoin markets: know what's going on! [Registrations fixed] on: February 10, 2015, 02:46:58 PM
To those who signed up: it is possible that the mail is landing in your spam folder
I just created a "physical" mail address with an actual inbox which I'll use as the sender to - hopefully - cope with the spam folder issue.

Former sender's mail address was "noreply@bitshit.shice.info", now I switched over to "altcoinreport ]aeht[ shice ]dot[ info". I hope this helps to prevent the email landing in the spam folder.

PS: I am working hard to include a new feature which will show the "social value" of the Altcoins by analyzing social media (beginning with Twitter). I don't want to reveal too much, but if you think about this feature for a moment, you'll notice that it offers a lot of new possibilities. Wink
Interesting times coming!
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotPonzi - A fair Potcoin Ponzi :) on: February 06, 2015, 10:24:54 AM
Why does the website say that the last transaction was around 11 hours ago, whereas the blockexplorer shows incoming transactions?

http://potchain.net/address/PPonziF7C3NDxUPw59PW3zb3W8ejiN8N8H

Or am I getting something wrong with understanding how the blockexplorer works? Smiley
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotPonzi - A fair Potcoin Ponzi :) on: February 05, 2015, 01:50:41 PM
How It works
You can read how Ponzi schemes work here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme
Funny, how you link an explanatory text on Wikipedia where the very first sentence is
Quote from: wikipedia
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned by the operator.

2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Newsletter Beta for Altcoin markets: be informed! [new features, 15 slots left] on: February 05, 2015, 08:01:35 AM
Thank you for your feedback. First, the idea was to have the newsletter 100% automated, but then, I found it somewhat impersonal and decided to try and write some introduction text whenever I have the time (about the current market situation or about the service itself, e.g. if new things are in the plannings).

You got an interesting point with the initial market cap; coinmarketcap is a source of data which I'm already using to finish my formula to calculate realistic values for a coin. Also having a visual representation of the market cap would surely be a good thing - I'll add this to my list of potential features.

Another thing you might have noticed today: in your first post in this thread, you wrote that the headlines #7 and #8 were switched. Today, there was a total mess with the ~5 last charts (well, I guess for that reason, it's still beta, heh), where the headlines were wrong.
The reason for that is that the creation of the images of the charts takes some time (I'm using phantomjs to call URLs where the real, interactive charts reside and render them to images which will be used in the newsletter), and when some coins have similar volume and some action occurs between during the creation of the images and the sending of the newsletter, their positions might differ from what they were when creating the images. I'll find a solution for that.
