1981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: May 06, 2022, 03:54:52 PM
^^ Yeah, it's hard to read the body language of a fighter if he is intimidated or not. But this is boxing, so for sure you have to think that you want to take the head of your opponent during stare downs,  Grin

But just like the rest who voted in this poll, Bivol is the underdog and it seems boxing fans are not giving him the chance to topple the king yet.

Does the face off matter whether who is intimidated?

I think so, a little. Final weigh-ins are normally done one day before the fight. So if you could effectively intimidate or even affect the mind of your opponent on that day, your opponent could not easily adjust anymore because it is going to be the fight day the next day. If you successfully get into the mind of your opponent at weigh-in, that might cause him a little trouble, perhaps in his sleep or whatever, that could affect him the following day.

I doubt that, they are professional and before they accept the fight, they know already what their opponent can do. The real battle is in the ring, and both boxers believe that they can win, but like any other competition, it's the better player that will win.
I definitely agree, both have something big to lose here and accepting the fight means that they already know the capabilities. As I saw their final presscon few hours ago, I can say that there will be no mind games on their face-off or any intimidation while trying to get in each other's head and actually they are being respectful to one another, that only shows how professional these two boxers are. I'm quite surprised though that Dmitry Bivol knows how to speak English, haven't expected that.

Bivol is a champ in many boxing championships in which he'd been training in the US for a long time. he must have learned well including English. this is not the kind of boxer that hasn't faced intimidating boxers. pulling an upset might be difficult for him to achieve as he is facing Canelo. but i would be happy to get my winnings Smiley

its just small amount actually but whoever wins, i will enjoy the rumble.

1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH vs SOL vs AVAX vs MATIC on: May 06, 2022, 08:34:53 AM

SOL recently bogged down with just simple traffic on their network. i'm not very aware of its issue but according to people in the chat community, it's because of NFT. this may cause investors to get out of SOL. but what we see if prices are compared its Matic that is not very promising.

is OP only considering staking on Kraken?  MATIC i think can be staked on binance.

1983  Economy / Economics / Re: Looks like markets are crashing ! this is it ...it's the big one ! on: May 06, 2022, 08:18:29 AM
The market have crashed around 10% which is quite a big change, but this is predicted to be a short term movement. The price that bounced yesterday marking an unexpected downfall is the risky part of the market. For any form of market movement we need to be prepared. Users can make good profit in the short/long term. Now one can prefer buying through the Dollar Cost Average process which, because the price is supposed to drop as low as $33k.

$33k is probably the lowest it could become. it going to plunge down to $20k when the price dips beyond that support. analyzing the situation which could get worse, i have put my money back to stablecoin yesterday too at $38k. i could be wrong with this but it's all up to each other's decision.

DCAing is definitely not profitable in a bear market. the volatility as well these days is very different compared to market with apparent trend.

•Assurance and guarantee of the bitcoin ?
There's no assurance and guarantee on Bitcoin, if you want assurance and guarantee, stick with centralized fiat where the value keep losing every year. The interest rate 2% APY they offer wouldn't cover up the inflation and bank charges.

the assurance of BTC is that its will always be decentralized and guaranteed no one could take it from you.

BTC is here to stay as long as there is buying and selling of it, it will be an everlasting investment platform. because everything in finance will soon be digital including the fiat, we're all going to be using digital currencies including BTC.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 05, 2022, 05:40:42 PM

it made a lot of people who are not used to gambling online coming to the internet though. many of these sabongeros in the Philipines don't go online before the e-sabong. now that is shut down, do you think they are going to move to online casinos?

the one who facilitates esabong is a popular rich individual that already has a database of people who wagers in sabong. it can be easy for him to lead to another game.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Easiest Way For New Traders To Profit From The Crypto Market on: May 05, 2022, 03:41:30 PM
For most, getting started with trading is a massive learning curve, and making consistent (ish) profit is a whole different story. The truth is, it really doesn't have to be that hard. There are easier ways for new traders to profit from the Crypto market without all the struggles of fine-tuning strategies and learning to read the market.

Here is the easiest way for new traders to profit from the crypto market: https://www.cryptopolitan.com/the-easiest-way-for-new-traders-to-profit-from-the-crypto-market/

What are your thoughts?

I believe that it is necessary to admit that far from everyone is given to trade cryptocurrency, or rather, everyone can trade, only not everyone will have a positive result. As for your suggestion, I understand that you are suggesting for beginners in trading to copy trades of successful traders. In principle, I know about this possibility, but I personally have not yet tried this method. On the other hand, the copy trading method may well help many beginners in cryptocurrency trading to start gaining experience and making an income.

would you rather lose your money while you learn trading or lose your money handled by someone?

you may be able to do copy trade and earn but it wouldn't be worth it earning while you don't earn it yourself. just get your hands on it. if you are a beginner, try it yourself by learning the chart and try some indicators. you may lose money at first but its worth losing as you learn to trade.

1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: May 05, 2022, 01:23:56 AM
very strategic. he is about to step down so he did it right. after all many lives had been destroyed with this esabong. i saw the news yesterday, he said the lives of Filipinos were disrupted playing esabong 24 hrs a day. Duterte doesn't need the funds coming from esabong anymore which i think was php600M. it's Marcos time to find where his funds will come from.
1988  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't ever quit your job to trade crypto. on: May 04, 2022, 06:16:49 AM
it was my dream.
I deposited my money in any project and at that time I just had a dispensation fund because the company I worked for stopped operating. that's cold money, but still when the project is a scam or the price is too low and falls, it's not effective when used for reserve funds because shitcoin is so volatile and steep.
if trading means for fishing. Spreading benefits and profits, while working remains as a provision when thirst comes. I agree and it is very effective for daily fund backups.
indeed there are some people who may be reckless and only focus on selling tokens/crypto on a P2p basis and make it their main job. I've seen those who focus on social media on research, profit results and the success of funds in choosing projects.
Of course it takes a long time, money that is ready to be sacrificed and thoughts, energy that must be focused.
I realized I'd better learn from many people's experiences and enough backup for a buying and selling plan, saving in the future
cryptocurrencies are the future and the industry is even the financial instrument that many people need and this is the reality that we have the right to choose too

yes. crypto is the future until you experience a bear market. the investors in 2021 are already seeing the cons when they saw the price didn't stop plunging down to $33K. they'd lose more if they got into options.

it's recommended to just take trading as a hobby while you still are learning. even the pro will find it hard to make money when the market swings in every direction every day. while you are trading in spot market, just continue with your day job, it helps covering the loss.  Cheesy
1989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's the year 2018 over again on: May 04, 2022, 04:01:21 AM
It seems we are already in a bear market but how far can this go? A year or two just like 2018-2019? Or this is a short term bear market? MMCrypto on youtube said that 30,000$ BTC is possible, if this do happens altcoins will bleed more than ever and this will unlock the beginning of the downfall of many altcoins.
I believe this bear market will not last long, its just temporary. Year 2018-2019 are different compared to the current situation because currently crypto is quite popular than before, more adoption happened and some popular personality/businesses are engaging themselves to crypto. Its true that if Bitcoin go down further, alts are affected because, as we know the price of Bitcoin influence the price of alts. However if you're holding a well-established altcoins you dont have to worry that much, it will certainly recover once the market turn up again.

maybe it will matter as people wanted to invest this time because they want to escape the inflation effect. if the prices are to emerge again by June as it's somehow always done, maybe the bear could just be temporary. the 2018 bear market started just right at the beginning of the year, this bear started last year in about November.

if you still hold your altcoin back in 2018, i think you will have no problem holding it still today.
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC cycles and super cycles on: May 04, 2022, 03:06:04 AM
From historical data, there is 80% of correction from past All time highs to bottoms from which new bull runs started. In this bull run, we have yet touched to the bottom if history repeats itself.

If you simply look at the price chart, the next station for Bitcoin in case it continues falling is around $15,000 to $13,000. Combine it with past records and monthly RSI, it seems that we are possibly around the bottom. Anyway, please don't exclude the scenario that Bitcoin will drop more (RSI shows its possibility too).

I meant there is possibility for around 60% drop from $38,000 in upcoming months but there is another possibility that we already found a bottom.

In future, when less Bitcoin is left for Bitcoin future supply (for miners to mine and get from block rewards), I am sure that there will be bigger hype around future halvings. Fundamentally, I see positive future for Bitcoin.

Currently, it is fine if you are greedy when others are fearful.

we better be selling right now or suffer the loss. but there could also be the supercycle that they are claiming might happen. is this just for them to give hope that holders not sell?

the pattern seem very good to follow actually and halving correlated with it. its a solid plan to just move to USD when its really uncertain where this market flow. the moment it goes up, someone will also shout a bulltrap.  Cheesy
1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 04, 2022, 02:57:21 AM
buying now will make the investor panic more than ever when the price goes below $30,000. it's not easy looking at the value drips.
the whales must have been expecting the price to really go this low because it's been a month since the price had not jumped back to more than $45,000.

Buying is always best done during the most bearish of states and selling during the most bullish of states. Bear season is actually buying season. So instead of being fearful, people should be stoked that they are given an opportunity to buy low, to buy Bitcoin at a discounted price. Others would think it is irresponsible to recommend buying during the red days in the market. But when is the better time? When the price has already recovered?

Sounds so simple and so great in theory, but good luck getting the typical newbie “investor” to do it successfully; as if we would know what the price floors and price ceilings would be.

For most people — assuming they actually know what they’re investing in, the ever so simple buy and hold is the way to go; while looking for ways to increase cash flow in other places outside crypto.

It is indeed easier said than done but I don't think it is that hard to understand and somehow determine whether the price is cheap or not. They don't have to look for the bottom. It is impossible to hit it accurately. Right now for example, it is clear that Bitcoin's price is cheap. It doesn't mean it won't go any cheaper in the coming days but it is cheap and it is certain that the price would rise sooner or later. And of course hodl is indeed the way to go right after buying. The price may fall further but it will rise eventually.

once the price goes cheaper the next day, an investor would think he best buys BTC the next time it dips again. his loss gets bigger as the value depreciates further.
1992  Other / Archival / Re: Is ignorance bliss after all? on: May 03, 2022, 09:17:38 AM
A very simple question.

Should I, as a citizen, be concerned about what's happening to the world? I know I don't feel right when I ignore society's problems as I might have my rights infringed. But, I look around some of my people who're ignorant and they seem happy. Is this constant concern beneficial, after all?

yup being ignorant can be good as being carefree. no burdens and worries.

but you as an investor who looks for profit i think will need to know the future of your country and the world. being concerned is beneficial because by the time you know time is changing, you will also know where to invest. it's a touchy topic but if your country is currently in a war, the price of properties will really be in low price so an investor can be profitable when the war is over.

times change we know there are troubles in the EU related to the Russia-Ukraine invasion and US economy is not good also according to many economist. where to invest? Ray Dalio says China which his investment is mostly in China. but that country is also experiencing turmoil in thier economy. no where else to go but BTC.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 03, 2022, 08:58:38 AM
Donald Cerrone, Jim Miller and Andrei Arlovski now hold the record of most wins in UFC. Every fighter has 23 win in their record.

This weekend Cowboy is facing Joe Lauzon, who was on a pause for quite a long time. Do you think on Sunday, Donald Cerrone will take a lead on most wins list ? Cheesy I think yes, it looks like Lauzon is not a very strong fighter compared with Cerrone, and UFC gave Cerrone an easy fight (to raise his spirit probably), because he is on a series of 6 looses.

6 successive losses is terrible. i use to bet for the cowboy because he has done miracles in the cage. you can see him almost about to get knockout but turn the fight around. but now that he is old i think it's time for him to retire. when he fought McGregor i thought he can also land big shots but he just curl to cover. he use to be the goat.
1994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Afraid to buy Bitcoin in its bearish state? on: May 03, 2022, 08:48:26 AM

well if you are unsure if the price is going to go down still, you better not buy yet. it's however difficult to see the bottom of the price. today you can see the price had bottomed on a shorter time frame in the chart but zooming out to the monthly chart it hasn't even started yet.

if you are planning to buy, you might just have to wait and let the big investors do what they need to. maybe they will also dump pulling the price back to $29,000 again. we have no clue yet but watching popular predictions of popular traders, they were saying bears are going to sell.
1995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: May 03, 2022, 08:31:40 AM
Dogecoin may possibly do good, because apparently many people really believes Elon Musk on his ventures and whatnots that are being outrageously broadcasted on his platforms. But, I can’t see it yet that it could reach up to the level of BTC. It may be new, considered promising because of Elon Musk basically, but to get to the level of BTC, it must first be proven that its worth and utility could be really equivalent to the longevity and strength of the first one.
Until now, it seems that the trust in @elonmusk is still very strong, because whatever is tweeted, it will certainly have a positive impact. as well as doge, where until now @elonmusk has given news about his belief in the coin. right now there are benefits to doge in the way @elonmusk did, but I doubt it will ever reach bitcoin levels, because I don't believe that @elonmusk will continue to support doge.
As an entrepreneur, of course, the calculation of profit and loss will always be the main point, if Doge is no longer profitable, it is certain that @elonmusk will not support him. It should also be remembered that trust in @elonmusk's tweets will one day begin to be abandoned if it is not useful for investors.

elon already claimed he is the dogefather, he is not abandoning it. he probably bought doge long before its price goes 0.01USD so he has a huge profit with billions of it. yet we all know doge is an altcoin that can't go to a level where its adoption is like BTC. it will need a country accepting dog as legal tender which doge is not that kind. god knows elon can dump his doge if he wants to and a country will not want to be in a position where its currency is also controlled by a single person. but we also know he has BTC which i'd say he likes both BTC and doge.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk, Mark Cuban Discuss Using Dogecoin to Solve Twitter Spam Problem ! on: May 03, 2022, 07:14:01 AM
A mere meme coin coming this far is crazy, all thanks goes to Elon musk if not doge coin would still be somewhere between 0.0004$ - 0.003$, I would have been rich right now if not for Freewallet, I lost over 2 million doge coin to Freewallet and the team never helped me in any way to recover my doge coin, anyway I do hope that Shiba inu will come up with a wonderful idea in future too.

yup those were the days when doge is less than a cent. and we just kept betting 5000 per dice roll.  Cheesy now that it has a price it just makes me regret not keeping them on yobit to bet on thier dice game.

crazy as it may be but with two billionaires talking about it, it could become very serious that doge price will soar again. billionaires like them can hire a team to fix everything on twitter with doge.
1997  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: May 02, 2022, 10:26:39 AM

1998  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can America end the war in Ukraine?? on: May 02, 2022, 03:40:07 AM
Not really. As the President of USA said numerous times, Russia is a nuclear power and as long as they don’t attack a NATO country, it is not the US’ business. A hot war between the US and Russia would bring the end of the world.

Russia will also not attack NATO countries, they've not done so. but the longer this war takes place, Russia may also just build more military structures around Ukraine. the black sea will be surrounded by Putin's bunker and in the long years, EU is just giving him the way to colonize Ukraine which is the strategic location important for trade in this part of EU.

Ukraine is like the kid is in the middle of a big fight between two bullies. tangled in this mess because the two bullies want his candy. the kid can't get away because the two holds him while both bullies throw punches at him.
1999  Economy / Economics / Re: What crypro / tokens has the most utility ? looks like all are useless on: May 02, 2022, 02:31:16 AM
Filecoin i think has a plan which you can use as a decentralized database, i'm however not aware of the development. but blockchain itself is a database it stores records of transactions. there are projects in which they store music files on blockchain if this is what you mean database.

but like Jawhead said, crypto is more digital. you can see all around such as NFT, gaming and finance.

since dorsey had BTC integrated to twitter, i think musk will also add doge and probably not just doge.
not very sure if his worse critics will stay on twitter. news online are publishing articles about how to delete twitter account. just how they hate Elon for taking over thier platform that politicians that used to support Elon for this EV now want to boycott him.
