1981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Q]To take a loan or not to on: June 20, 2022, 10:42:14 AM
In bloodbath times, I tend to think to take a loan and invest in few prominent currencies and leave it for few years. Then I realize what happened to Luna and realize there is nothing surefire here.

So, there is risk in taking loan but then reward is high, and there is sense of safety in not taking loan. You would be kind of free? Yes you didn't make much/took advantage of market downturn but you are free, you have nothing to worry for?
You can take a loan actually but don't use it to invest in crypto but rather put it into the investment where you can assure good profit at the end of the month (or at least).

However, if both parties will agree with the term and conditions being presented, then that's up to you then. But I suggest for you OP not to just focus on investing crypto this time. With that borrowed amount, I highly recommend splitting it in order to minimize risk, and at least, if ever you lose there is something that could be able to save you.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can DeFi still be trusted?? on: June 20, 2022, 09:57:48 AM
It is undeniable how these Decentralized finances become distrusted by many because of the scam involvement in the past and the recent days.
We can't blame people to say like that as perhaps, they are the ones also making these things. I actually have no experience with them and that was because I don't have any trust in them since before and their untrustworthiness was been proven several times I have no doubt that their performance is questionable.
1983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good list for longterm investment? on: June 19, 2022, 02:40:46 PM
I do not consider any coin other than Bitcoin and ethereum suitable for long term investment. Because in my 5 years of experience I see that only Bitcoin and ethereum are trusted coin. There are other coins today but not tomorrow. For example, in 2017 Litecoin was in the top ten coins but not now. Again in 2021 DogeCoin was at the top of the discussion but during the next bullrun maybe any other coin will be top of the discussion. Also the destruction of Luna coin in 2022.
May you can't because of some points and market considerations but it was not only BTC and ETH that are suitable for long-term investment, we may also consider those coins that are in the top 10 coins. For many years, they still remain in the market and this is a big factor to look at. Of course, not meme coins nor those projects in hyped, we look for those projects that have a working product.

As to the list of OP, only the 3 coins I may consider BTC, ETH, and Polygon...well the rest, I don't know...I have no confidence with them.
1984  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: June 19, 2022, 12:34:31 PM
I would say it really disappoints me in the past years when I just rejected not to sell them during the ATH but for now, I understand how. We don't need to be disappointed nor to hate the market but have to adapt to the changes as this will somehow come unpredictably. We have to always be prepared and not to be surprised when the bear season comes, perhaps, this is not new, it is indeed existing since from the very beginning.

As we are here in crypto, making some investments, we are encouraged to accept and adapt to the nature of the market. Otherwise, we make ourselves uncomfortable.
1985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 19, 2022, 11:40:04 AM
So many rumors lurking around after the championship win by the Warriors. One of them is cutting the luxury tax.
This will not be easy for the team to let go some of their players as they really did great in their run to achieve the best ending. And, they have rookies who are proving worthy to be kept. Kuminga especially who might be their next key if they want a back to back championship. We know their weak point is the paint but with Kuminga gaining more experience they may patch that big hole that had been missing in the team. A backup player for Draymond and Looney.

Kuminga is good but he does not play the Center position, they need a center who can defend the paint and we saw that even Looney is not enough to defend the bigs of their opponent. They need someone that is healthy and who can play defense consistently, I think that's their focus for the next season to come.
1986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 19, 2022, 11:18:27 AM
We have Ginebra vs Magnolia next game.

What's your pick guys? I think I like the Magnolia here, they lose to the TNT and I believe they will bounce back to win.
Right now they are +2.5 but I will take the moneyline, I think it's where public will find Ginebra very attractive but I'll go the other way.

My Pick is Ginebra, this is a never say die team, and I like their team effort. This might be a close game again because Magnolia is also a good team, but 4th quarter  will always be the deciding quarter and I give that advantage to the Gin Kings since they are good in 4th quarter.
1987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Trading Volume an important metric ? on: June 18, 2022, 11:05:32 PM
How important is trading volume when trying to decide whether to invest in a new project ? The higher the better ? But if people are "selling off" like crazy wouldn't that also mean a high trading volume ?

Trading volume doesn't really mean a project is good to invest on because there are a lot a fake volumes out there on pump and dump projects.
So.. As a project get stronger or have more use case or get popular, the volume will increase.
Yes, you are right but it was a big contribution when choosing a coin to trade. Well, of course, you have to check the background of the project if the said volume was faked or something real. Perhaps, this is not just the only basis we check, and to see their consistency could prove their legitimacy like the top listed coins. Choosing known projects together with reliable and trusted exchanges helps us to recognize if these projects are worth trading or not.
1988  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is dead! on: June 18, 2022, 09:49:03 PM
now btc has dropped to around $18k. many also say that the potential continues to fall. But looking at the purchase order book is also getting crowded. So I'm sure those who buy today are lucky people if they can hold it strong. because even when looking at the history of the decline in btc. then we will also be treated to that after going down a lot then btc will go up much more than its decline. an example like the OP's post.
We can see a huge buyer demand but we can also see the high selling demand makes the market doing deeper. It is still going to imagine that many were still not change their mind and easily get panic, I'm not sure but these newcomers have been causing this tragic drops as those old-timers had made their way to holding after having an experience in the past.

Bitcoin is dead, collapsing - everything we heard negative can be possible at this time but having said, only strong hands live and are willing to take risks while weak people don't deserve it.
1989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 18, 2022, 12:02:29 PM

Well, next game, I like the TNT here, I missed the odds now, what is the point spread on this game.

TNT is the underdog, so you are getting a good odds with your bet.

Quote
I will just bet on live because it's not available anymore... by the way, I almost won my Blackwater 11+ bet, that was x10 odds.
This bet had a chance because Blackwater had a double digit lead but Blackwaer were not able to keep, they just did enough to win.

Good luck on the TNT bet though, they can win this game.
1990  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 18, 2022, 11:37:14 AM
There's a rumor that Andrew Wiggins might be potential trade due to increasing salary wage of Warriors. They need to trade someone to resolve this and Wiggins has the high chance rate to be trade since Warriors will not gonna let go there Big 3. I don't know if this will commence but I believe this possible since Warriors has really have a high salary cap right now and this is not healthy to there franchise.
I won't be surprised if there will be an actual trade for him. He's now going to get the attention after they've taken the championship this final.
We don't know what it will be I guess this is an early expectation and we just have to wait for a few more weeks or a month to see such news like this.

Yup, rumors will circulate and with his performance this last season, interest to bring him in will flow.

It will depend on the Warriors team owner if how they will handle his case, if Wiggins will be after for the money, Max contract
or a good long-term deal should be on the table.

Unless he will be wanting for more rings, staying inside Warriors and adjust to the amount the team can offer him, just like how
Tim Duncan did when he still playing for the Spurs. He adjusts to meet the salary cap.

Warriors kept Durant, so there's a chance that they will keep Wiggins, though I must say that the Warriors were unbeatable with Durant playing on the team, Wiggins is also a big peace in the roster that makes the team successful. Well, the management will decide and for sure it will be for the improvemnet of the team.
1991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Doge coin in trouble? on: June 17, 2022, 11:34:48 PM
The issue is getting hotter on social media since Elon Musk is a known person. It really get the attention of the public and the majority had already known this. But what gives me more exciting is to see how these Dogecoin holders think about it or decided to sell their coins at this time. I'm pretty sure this will create panic and worries for them, and most likely, this will help to dump their price even more.

This is the thing I've worried about, someone involved in a hype causing major losses to the investors will hold responsible for it and this is what it happen to Elon Muck. He does too much to Doge and takes all the blame, that's the consequence.

1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to avoid crippling losses when trading? on: June 17, 2022, 10:30:58 PM
Crypto trading is a unique thing, the opportunity to rise by thousands of percent in a day can be obtained, instead we can lose 99% in a day or even less, as happened with Luna only takes a week to drop from $ 100 to $ 0,0001, and in my opinion things What we can do is determine the target profit and target loss, what I do is immediately sell when profit is 10% and immediately sell when a loss is 15%.

That is why crypto trading is a high-risk activity, because highly volatile price movements are difficult to predict. So make sure before deciding
to trade crypto we already have sufficient knowledge and can analyze market movements well. In order to avoid trading in the wrong coins,
and also be able to use effective strategies to generate profits.
It can be riskier if we don't have knowledge and skill about this and I suggest those who come and try trading must invest their time knowing the market first and have some mentor to assist. I'm not going to say we should have to keep this person forever, it is just the days when we are in the learning process. In this way, we are able to understand how that trading works and simply guide us to a better choice of coins to trade and the basis of it. It can't be simply ( a different view to others) and that is why we need to take this seriously otherwise.
1993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 17, 2022, 11:57:46 AM
I think Curry can break the number of championships Jordan has won.

If remains healthy, he can do that for sure. Curry is only 34 years old, there are plenty of seasons to be played and he just needs to win 3 straight seasons so he can break the record of MJ, and of course, win the finals MVP as well so it would solidify his legacy.
1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 17, 2022, 11:37:20 AM
Nice game between the SMB and Magnolia now. I  took the SMB when they were down and I got them on ML.

It's still a close game now, both teams are just trading baskets and it doesn't matter if it will end up a close game as long as SMB wins.  Grin
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 16, 2022, 09:41:13 PM
do you know what are score-line odds for Curry tonight?
Curry is over/under 29.5.

Look, bookies are still confident with that line despite of the poor performance of Curry in game 5, I think Curry will have a bounce back game and will again score at least 30 points. That line is quite very tempting, I might take it.
1996  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start crypto earning on: June 15, 2022, 11:37:54 PM
Hi dear I want to ask to you about crypto trading, what do you recommend if I have 1000 USD and want to grow it by crypto. How can I do it safely and low risk?
The bolded one can be depending on you on how you manage your actual trade. It can't be guaranteed that whatever we say will help you it is because you are the one doing this. And in the first place, trading is accompanied by risk and no profit assurance. But I think this is not the thing we put in mind, if we have a plan for doing this see to it that we are also positive and our mindset is focused on how to improve our trades rather than being destructed with negativity.

But I suggest starting with a small amount while familiarizing the market, like having $100 is good enough. You can top some if you can assess yourself that you are ready enough to handle the market and stress.
1997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Huge Down from ATHs. what will happen the next ? on: June 13, 2022, 09:52:35 PM
Oh, I was wrong in saying that Bitcoin will never fall below $25k. I could say now that this is the real bear season that people are waiting for and some are getting afraid of. The sudden huge price dive may be because of the issue with the US banning Bitcoin mining and market inflation. It is how sad to see the huge impact of that thing causing panic selling.
Quote
“The crypto market has been under pressure from the Federal Reserve, hiking the interest rates to combat inflation over the past few months. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and most cryptocurrencies suffered losses over the weekend after a broad sell-off following the data showing US inflation hitting a 40-year high,” said  Edul Patel Co-Founder and CEO of crypto investment platform Mudrex.

Kinda be saying there is no perfect prediction, all of a sudden this makes it happen and everything has changed.
1998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for Traditional Banks to cooperate with Crypto on: June 13, 2022, 09:27:29 PM
They're not OP instead, they will fight against the growth of crypto as they think this was a threat to them. Because the moment that crypto becomes legal, many will no longer use the banking system anymore. Of course, this never makes them die or the collapse of the banking system, however, this will cause a downtrend of their possible income.

Digitalization is a new trend now if we see, Banks have also upgraded their system to cope with the demand of digitalization. This is a way to a healthy compilation against cryptocurrencies.

1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 13, 2022, 01:42:02 PM
@YuginKadoya  Good choice.

I will most likely have 2 choices tonight. My first pick will be Golden State in the first quarter. (-0,5)
My second pick is Golden State wins in the first half. (-1,5)

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with this, I would rather pick Warriors to win 3rd quarter because that's their quarter. Although I believe that they will start strong at home, but the series has been very unpredictable and they have a very close competition in the 1st half, anyway, good luck to your bet.

As they say, follow the trend, well, that kind of strategy works as well but we also have to remember that Warriors are at home and they are playing well at home. We have our own choice, it's better if we really believe 100% before putting our bet so there will be no regret in the end.

Warriors is just a slight favorite, but I think they'll dominate most quarters.

They have not dominated all the quarters yet, in game 2, they dominated the Celtics but I believe that the Celtics won the 4th quarter trimming their lead to below 20 points after the game. In a game that is as crucial as game 5, I think both teams will play hard to win and take the lead in the series. I am more confident on betting the under now.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 19 on: June 13, 2022, 01:19:34 PM
I am going to support Ryan - I like his speed and his punching technique.
Unfortunate for him that he is struggling with mental health - I think he is talented and smart - he can focus on his fitness and can live his dreams

I like his confidence and boxing skills too, you cannot compare him to anyone because the guy is still young and have lots of room for improvement. After this fight, I hope he will have his time to shine against a worthy opponent as well. We also need to see him struggling in his practice to level up and beat his strong opponents. He needs to fight someone who is a threat to his current record so that he will gonna further stretch his kills to the max and upgrade his power and speed to outmatch his next opponents until he became an undisputed champion himself.
Despite of his issues on depression and mental health struggles, I can see that he is still ready to give Fortuna the best fight his opponent wanted. Seeing how Garcia fought in his previous games, I know this game will favor him. And yes, he all got confidence and boxing skills that i think will be more enhanced if he will be given opportunities to fight with most of the big time undefeated boxers, so that he can see himself too undefeated in his own chosen career.

If after that fight he take more serious trainings and deal with much heavier sparring sessions, I guess coming in this fight he will be more ready, he's trying to hype his name and the only thing that he needs to do is to win this fight and find a new challenger that will create more noise for his name. We don't know how things will come up, but everything will be settled once he steps inside the ring and showcase his skills, then wins against Fortuna.

Garcia's camp knows the big potential of him. They will bring him back to find the rhythm and try taking down Fortuna in a solid way

 of knocking him down..

Another easy challenger, but this time he needs to be more impressive if he wants to have a big fight with the champions that are waiting for him. They know that Garcia went through some mental and emotional problems, so they will see that as his weakness. Promoters are not convince yet, so they bring this another unknown guy just for Garcia to give a convincing win.
