2021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: June 09, 2022, 05:03:03 PM
When the both boxers comes into the ring it is really gets too much excitement with the match but during the first round and it gives a lot of pressure to Donaire and we make a possible conclusion that this is not really going well, I guess it is time to make a break for him because he made already a name into the world of boxing.

A break forever in the world of active boxing, in short "retirement".

Yes, Donaire has already made his country proud, we will never forget his great games in the past, but it's not his time anymore, he is not getting younger and at his age now, it's just right that he will enjoy his life with his family and forget about boxing for a while. he can still come back but maybe as a coach or a commentator if he wants to.
2022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 09, 2022, 04:41:57 PM
As expected, the Celtics will dominate the game after they've been blown out the last game. It was really evident when almost all of them will start to play seriously and make use of their sizes to have an advantage. Williams III was having a blast blocking the shots from the Warriors, he even got 4 blocks while Jaylen Brown was having his best game in the Finals.

They made a huge bounce back, although the Warriors remained strong in the 3rd quarter and were able to make the game close the Celtics again took over the 4th quarter. I am concerned about Curry's ankle, he was hurt when he dived for the ball, hopefully, he is fine as the team needs him in game 4 to even the series.
I think he was fine. He still played the game for minutes before sitting on the bench as the lead was nowhere to catch up. Thankfully, he is though as Horford is a big man who could've really hurt him if his foot was in a different position.

How about the officials? Are you guys happy about the sudden change from no calls at games 1 and 2 to extreme usage of their whistles in Game 3?
Early foul trouble, Draymond was fouled out, bonus was too early like 5 more minutes of game time and it's already a free shot when a foul is made.
For me, there's always room for improvement. It's the Finals, it's going to be physical.

I hope next game the refs will favor the Warriors. If they want to make this series an interesting one, they should let the Warriors win game 4 so this will reach to game 7. Refs favoring the Celtics, I understand that because people were all over the Warriors in game 3, and now that Celtics won, I think they'll now put their bets on the Celtics to win again.
2023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strategies to save money on ETH gas fees? on: June 06, 2022, 01:49:02 PM
I could assume that everyone has been skeptical already about the high gas fee of ETH. For many years that we have had this issue, I think everyone had already accepted the truth and become hopeless to have a chance to fall back.

As for me, what I did is not to move my crypto in small amounts, I put them together and sent them in bulk. Think that I was saving time and a few bucks from it. Paying $50 moving $500 as a minimum target is worth enough, I guess.
2024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 06, 2022, 01:04:19 PM

i would like to make proper monyline bet to series winner and not per every match
so how do you feel folks, is THIS Warriors?

1-st match i skipped but following often this great topic

2-nd match placed to Curry 27,5 pts

if i dont mistake Tatum did not covered both games?

If you feel the Warriors will win, don't hesitate, per sportsbooks betting odds, the odds now are almost even, so Warriors has a chance to win the NBA Finals. The series now will be shifted to Boston, Warriors also need to win a game to even the series or take the lead, who knows, so just follow what you feel.

Almost equal, unlike the day after Boston won the game 1, Warriors have much higher odds, now that they've tied it up

Boston needs to win at home twice. If they will allow Warriors to take one game, the home-court advantage will
be back to Warriors and knowing how loud the crowd inside chase center it can affect the players' focus.
It's more about how you trust your team and how confident and willing you are to take the risk.

I can't trust Boston at home, by far, they don't have a good record at home because this team can win both home and road games. Celtics should bounce back in game 3 so the advantage will be on them, if they'll lose game 3, they will have to play well in game 4, otherwise Warriors might end the series in their home court in game 5.
2025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 06, 2022, 12:18:05 PM
Is that information reliable? If it's a 100% sure win, then you are at no risk of borrowing money, you can even make your property as collateral as you are sure you'll be able to pay that loan after the bets get graded. However,  think of the risk also, if you lose your bet, you'll regret your action for sure.

Thing is, gambling is supposed to be treated as a fun activity, so taking loans is not necessary anymore.
2026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: June 06, 2022, 11:24:24 AM
Yes, gambling never ends. Even though there is a ban from the government, people are still gambling in hidden places. Offline and online gambling will thrive and attract people to keep coming back to gambling. That's because they can channel their desire to meet their friends and play gambling together. Maybe that taste is what they are looking for in the gambling world and can't find anywhere else. But hopefully, they can find another source of fun and not gambling because it will make them lose their money.

Yeah! if people realize their own mistakes, they will gonna take heed next time and eventually look for something that has no risk when only looking for fun. After all, the risk-free things are there and you don't need a bunch of groups to make you happy, just a small club where you meet some people who will gonna be like a family to you is enough to have fun as long as you don't do anything illegal. Spending time with the right people is also fun and the only thing that will ruin it is envy and other diseases of the heart.

It does not end but will be minimized, that's what the government wants because they cannot totally eradicate gambling. Their decision is for the benefits of the poor, poor people has to spend on their needs as they cannot afford to gamble, maybe they will just gamble a small amount as their excuse but they tend to gambling addicting which we are trying to prevent.
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 06, 2022, 11:05:46 AM
In the past when i was holding lof of altcoins the market downtrend fears me lot as once they went down it's impossible for them to recover but later on when the market experience and knowledge came then portfolio was reduced to some coins like bitcoin only. While holding btc there is little sadness in these dips but if we see long term then you will see profit coming your way so not a big issue.
I agree with you. Diversification is good but when it comes to long-term investing you have to reduce all those too many Alts bags to Bitcoin and just a few major ALts. With this strategy and understanding that these coins have been through such similar circles before and have seen how they performed, I don't really get worried over the market position right now.
In this current situation, it is the best option to divert some of our altcoins to Bitcoin. Might be to keep potential altcoins together with Bitcoin, and nothing else. We have to do this for the purpose of anticipating the market's possible drop, we'd rather be prepared for that as we never know what will happen a few days from now.

Now that I have set already and if ever this bear season continues, I won't buy anymore, I'd rather just hold and tried to analyze the market sentiment before making another move again.

2028  Economy / Speculation / Re: One more leg down on: June 06, 2022, 10:28:07 AM

people wanted to see what they wanted to happen and if they fail they blame market so we must not give them importance in that matter.
Supposedly they blame themselves first before blaming the market. And in fact, they are not forced to invest in crypto but it was their choice.

April-May, for these two months we haven't seen any changes in price, Bitcoin is still in the range between $28k - $31k.
Do we possibly see it up at least $35k? Or is it the same trend we are still seeing?
Well, I hope this June could have seen something new and positive news but yes, we can't expect that much.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will LUNA 2.0 be a complete failure in the long-term? on: June 06, 2022, 04:40:10 AM
Well, I guess it is time to move on and forget about Luna - they are done already.
Binance had already announced their huge losses from them, many investors had suffered the same thing, I really don't think we can still be hopeful with this project anymore even if they promised to reborn and improve their project.

As it was been said, they have already ruined their reputation and only those who never knew their background will invest.

8.  Investing in Just One Type of Crypto

I agree with this point too. This goes against the rule of diversification because diversification is to put money in different aspect of business so that incase one is failing and the other or next might succeed and you gain or recover from the loss of the losing one. If you invest in just one type of coin with alot of money, it is not a good investment. It is better to put money in different coins like throwing your net in the river you never know the fish it will catch for you.
But I don't have a problem with that, putting my money solely to Bitcoin is not wrong because I was sure that my money is safe and certainly it grows rather than splitting it into several altcoins. Well, of course, it was the best option to pick some potential altcoins aside from Bitcoin as it was the most practices here.

Generally, it is all about fund management. Even having multiple assets cannot give us assurance and the future of our investment certainly lies on how we manage them.
2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can i earn a passive income with Altcoins? on: June 05, 2022, 10:22:04 PM
Hi,

i wanted to create a passive income with the crypto.com lending. But they changed their terms, so i would need a lot more money to get the same result as before (with my plan i would get since middle 2025 ~a monthly passive income).

So now i'm on the search for alternatives. What are your ways to generate a passive income with crypto?

Just study and work yourself to learn to trade as this will possibly give you a passive income if you can make it right. As some traders made their way went well in trading, this can be also possible to happen with you OP. It was just a need of time and effort to learn about this stuff but I also remind you that not all have been successful in this field, many had quit. So even though I was suggesting this thing to you, I can't be sure that you will have a good future with this, that certainly relies on your capabilities and adoption.

If ever you fail in trading, then have to take the 2nd option which is investing.
2032  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: June 05, 2022, 09:55:57 PM
this is a bear market, of course you have to immediately choose an altcoin or you can wait for the price of Bitcoin to be safe to buy,
because the price of Bitcoin still feels shaken due to news of interest rates in the US, if you want to buy Bitcoin I think it's good at $20k to $25k
It's still not enough if you have to wait for a bear market that's not yet halfway through. Because when a bear market comes along with pretty drastic conditions, we will see Bitcoin at $25K as you said. but can Bitcoin be this deep? Of course nothing is impossible, seeing the increase in interest rates is still only a few percent of the impact. That hasn't fully provided a deep enough correction. At the end of the year, we usually see a deep correction, so if that happens then the buying moment will be very promising in the long term until we welcome the halving of 2024.
But fortunately, there are no backup claims that support the possible huge decline of the market driving Bitcoin price to fall to $25k. What just we see is that all are positive views and the correction that we have now isn't bad to look at and we keep holding the line at $28k. Now that people are too optimistic about the future and coming halving, the majority were taken to make a buy option rather than waiting and looking for the bottom price. In this situation, we can therefore say that instead of thinking it drops more, it is too possible to see for an early recovery.
2033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: June 05, 2022, 01:00:25 PM
I understand that, but just for the sake of having fun, I will just bet on the ML, just a few pesos would do. And also, I notice that the totals are very low for both games, it's just aroud 170 +, I think that says the game will most likely go under.

Converge almost won the game, they were up almost in the entire stretch of the game until in the final minutes when they could not buy a basket when most needed. You almost got the ML win mate but no thanks to that late rally of ROS hehe but it's not only you who lost as my bet did not cover the spread, i have it ROS -4.5  Sad.

ROS still did not cover the spread, sorry man. ROS had a good 3rd quarter run, they outscored the Converge by 9 points, and in the 4th quarter, ROS put a good defense to win the game. Nice game by the new team, at least they showed us that they can compete against a good team like ROS.

Just do live betting man, win back your losses, LOL..
Enjoy the 2nd game, such a nice game for both championship contender teams.
2034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 05, 2022, 12:39:33 PM
It's too early to tell but he has shown some signs of being a great player in the next coming years.

The outcome of the NBA Finals will dictate his future.
He is undoubtedly the best player on the team, in fact, if we look at the favorites now to win the Finals MVP, it's Tatum and Curry who are the favorites.

And yes, it's still too early to tell but Tatum has been improving, and now they are in the lead in the NBA Finals.
2035  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin drops to $8k on: June 04, 2022, 10:56:14 PM
Market makers can go for stop hunting below $10k level because of possible accumulated limit orders for years in mentioned price range. I doubt the FUD will cause such huge depression on market, the possibility of such event is near 0,IMHO. I will join buyers and accumulate much more crypto if predicted market crash ever happens.
It had pulled the market from the ATH and then we go to the half of it from there. FUD still works for these whales and they still move the markets but what is good for experienced people that have been on the market, they don't mind whatever the FUD is.
We know that these FUD are going to create panic mostly among the newbies but to us, we just accept whatever it is and we know that eventually, the market will recover. About bitcoin going down to $8k again, it may happen through chances but just as what the most opinion says, it's little.
FUD doesn't work by now - it was just a failed attempt that these whales are trying to do in the market and manipulate the price.
What he (Guggenheim's Minerd) say is pure assumptions about a very unpredictable future, and likely wrong. Reaching back to $8k is quite impossible, not at this moment as people know how to hold and are already strengthening their faith in Bitcoin. And to see the possible huge increase in demand, the more it helps to keep the current price to its current level (and to see a spike is likely possible).
2036  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties and Airdrops on: June 04, 2022, 10:29:11 PM
If it's the usual bounty and airdrop, they're all correct that it's a waste of time and it's not worth it anymore. There are rare projects that distribute airdrops to their participants not by just the typical filling up of forms and posting POA.
The majority of these bounties and airdrops are worthless, even those reputable managers who manage them have no escape, they got not paid as well.
Quote
But by doing such tasks like contributing to their tests, helping them in validation and other technical stuff and that's no marketing on their end. Some are worth it to join but I don't have interests on them.

That's what I have seen that many folks really do spend time for those projects but it's difficult to determine if it will be a good one or not.
These people are encouraging participants to help promote their projects in exchange to some amounts as they have promised to pay them after but guess what? It was just a broken promise and it won't just break their heart and wasted their time but also ruins the reputation of the market which discourages investors to put money in here.
2037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 04, 2022, 01:57:47 PM

I think it the odds are still the same in Game 2 for the Celtics.
No, the odds are different in game 2.

Game 1 - Warriors -3.5
Game 2 - Warriors -4.5

That odds tells that Warriors will likely win game 2, it's a must-win for them and for sure they'll cover that spread if their defense will not collapse.

I think they will have to adjust their defense in game 2 and shouldn't allow that easy look from the outside and give the Celtics to shoot again.

The Warriors are still favor in game 2 and I'm not surprised that many are still going to back them up despite the unexpected lost they got in the first game.

The warriors just have to improve their defense, actually, they did a great job by limiting Jason Tatum, unfortunately, the Celtics are not like a Lebron team where the entire team relied on him to carry for a win, the Celtics are different, their brand of basketball is teamwork and that's why we saw in game 1.

When one struggles, somebody will step up, and what we have seen in game 1 is that Brown and especially Horford have stepped up.

That's what the Warriors do as well, I must say that the Warriors have faced a tough challenger that has a chance to win the NBA Finals, in fact, a bigger chance than them based on the current betting odds.

Warriors have to change the complexion of the series, if they'll win game 2, they'll probably be still the favorites in the betting sites to win the NBA Finals.

This is the first time I see the Warriors are an underdog in the NBA Finals (after game 1 loss of course).
2038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH banned online cockfighting - Worst gambling-related cases recorded! on: June 04, 2022, 01:36:18 PM
I think the Filipinos should put pressure on their government and the police to deal with these criminal problems. And only after these obvious problems are solved can you do such nonsense as cockfights.

There's no "it should" because it's already happening. Unfortunately, there will always be a case that someone or some group won't cooperate with the government. No matter how hard the pressure is, if the problem is on the core, that's a hard task for the government.

The main solution here for this menace to stop is for the people themselves to stop supporting illegal gambling operations. These corrupt officials won't be getting any benefits if there are no massive players that will use their illegal operations.

People will not stop supporting this because they got used to gambling when E-Sabong was legalized, and it's already part of our culture that some of us love Sabong. If it's easy for operators to operate an illegal online sabong, then they would not stop doing it, unless those who participated will also face the consequences but it's not the case because the liability only goes to the operators.

The people are always right.  This is an axiom.  You can't go against the will of the people....

If the people of the Philippines love to play E-Sabong, then the government of the country should not impose bans.

The maximum that the state can do is to try to minimize the harm from this type of activity.  Gambling is probably part of the national culture of the Philippines.

Direct bans, as a rule, do not lead to a solution to problems.  In my opinion, a more flexible approach to this issue is needed.

People does love sabong so government can't ban sabong, but they can ban online sabong because they are the ones who gave permit to operate, and upon their evaluation, it does not bring positive result to the people, in fact, it only made the lives of the many people harder because they choose to gamble than to save the money for their family.
2039  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Education is the Key on: June 03, 2022, 10:46:19 PM

Charts don't lie, people do.
It is because people rely on speculations that are often wrong while the chart tells nothing about the incoming.
Well, learning could somewhat help a lot but can't erase the fact that people will still suffer losses because that was the nature of investment and trading. Even though we spend 2-3 years in crypto, still makes no sense if we still allow our emotions to make decisions, not our minds. And instead of reading books about crypto, and doing chart analysis, I guess it was better to priority on how to control our emotions first.
2040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why we should Buy some Bitcoins on: June 03, 2022, 10:13:14 PM

Not everytime is the time to buy bitcoin, bitcoin will still rise to $100000 but those that bought it when it was at $60000 or above will not be happen right now, the best time to buy bitcoin is in the bear time when many people will be afraid to buy.
Perhaps, some saying Buying the DIP=opportunity is a legendary strategy.
But people aren't buying yet, they are looking for the bottom price which we don't know when it comes. It was the mindset of the people that were not really acceptable knowing the fact that the market trend is unpredictable. That is why we hear people saying they miss the chance, they never catch the dipping price before the recovery.

Well, this also depends on how we look at and analyze the market, nothing been perfect.
