2141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 17600$ was the bottom ? on: July 28, 2022, 10:58:48 AM
Given the current bearish crypto market conditions due to inflation and aggressive interest rate hikes by the Fed, it is likely that bitcoin prices will drop to $19k-$18k prices. Moreover, negative sentiment in the crypto market is still increasing and the sell-off in the crypto market is still not over.
What a twist though, then Fed make such announcement today, the price seems to go over $23k.

Maybe this is just a manipulation or catching a falling knife scenario and could be a trap. Nevertheless, this month we haven't seen the price going down hard and it keeps on trading around $20k-$24k. So for now, the button might have been reach. And the price could be in this range, trading sideways for a long time. But hopefully we will have a break out and it will be on the upside.
2142  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most BTC you've spent on something? on: July 28, 2022, 10:00:14 AM
I can't remember, but during 2017's run, I have bought a flat TV and other gadgets like laptop or something, I should have hold on those bitcoin though and waited till December of that year to really maximize its fiat value. Nevertheless, no regrets, although the TV I gifted it to one my niece already. And everyone is still really learning that holding might be the best thing to do right in this bear market. Buy the dip and then HODL.
2143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 28, 2022, 09:22:18 AM
Shakur is really huge favorited and it makes me to bet him is really unprofitable, I think I wouldn't bet and only watch the fight.

Honestly I don't know why Shakur want to fight against Conceicao because he already enough power to beat other champions e.g. Joe Cordina and Roger Gutiérrez, so he will become undisputed champion on super featherweight division. I'm expecting a KO from Shakur on the late round 9 or above.

I also tend to agree Conceicao won that fight against Oscar Valdez, but in this fight he would completely lost against Shakur.

His probably targeting both champions later, this is just another step for him, different kind of style and see how he will adapt on Conceicao. I think if he gets over Conceicao just like how he dispose Valdez, both Cordina and Gutierrez will be an easy fight for him.

Stevenson - 1.05
Conceicao - 9.60

The odds are very small for Shakur and I am also sure odds for the rounds will be over 10.5 rounds and very small too. If this was an ICO, it would be one of those scam pump and dumps that have been forgotten after the first pump hehehe.

I don't think there will be much difference or change in the odds. Stevenson is taking over this division and as I have said, unification this might will happen. Perhaps just a question on how much money is involved against Cordina and Gutierrez.

Edit: I also added a poll.

The poll should include if the fight will finish and reach the decision. A big favorite like Shakur Stevenson would imply that he can knockout Robson Conceicao. However, if you look at their records I predict this will reach the decision. Also, where do you think or speculate thr sportsbooks will place the over and the under? 7.5 rounds? This implies over 7.5 rounds is a better bet thsn under, I reckon.
What is the odds for over 7.5? I haven't check sports bookies yet.

But if we look at Stevenson's record some of them are UD, so I reckon this might be the case against Robson, as Conceicao could be a tough cookie to crack. I mean he is not American obviously, so his style might be very different on other fighters that Shakur has face in his last 3-4 fights. So if the over 7.5 has a good odds then why not?
2144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Infographics] Does Football Betting Pay Off? on: July 28, 2022, 09:00:42 AM
I guess it's obvious that those countries are really crazy about their football and serious on making money on their favorite sports.

Regardless of the numbers, I think it just represent how big football is, money is flowing in this sports and we even heard of match fixing specially from the lower league because people are willing to bet big on this sports. And again, if it is paying off for some then good, but there could be losing millions as well.
2145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2022, 08:17:05 AM
The Golden State Warriors have shown some interest in picking up Carmelo Anthony for next season. I’m not sure how well he would fit in, but I’m sure he could do some damage off the bench. I’m thinking it would probably be his last chance to win a championship, so it wouldn’t be a bad option for him. I’d wait to see if Kyrie gets traded to the Lakers and see if I could run that back before anything else though.

I think he's a good fit for the GSW coming off the bench. He could definitely do some damage as most of the guys in GSW can shoot everywhere and that gives him the advantage to find an open space where he can shoot uncontested.
I'd definitely love to see him win a championship before he retires. I know he'll have a better chance of winning a championship if joins the Warriors than the rest of his career from different teams.
Coming off the bench? yeah, I think it will be good, but him in the starting five, I doubt that he will fit on that rotation.

Maybe the Warriors thinks he can give 10-15 points solid in any given night. So let's see if the Warriors will give him another chance. Who knows, it could click and perhaps Carmelo Anthony will win his first ring before retiring.
2146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's to make of the NFT craze in retrospect? on: July 26, 2022, 07:42:08 PM
In 5 years? It's either this craze is still alive or dead, simple as that. The key word here is that it is a craze or hype.

And we all know that in crypto, those die and replace by a new one, since the ICO-IEO years, so that will be my conclusion. So as far as those blue chip collection? it will have no value, so maybe those who buy it will regret paying them at huge amount to the tune of millions of dollars because it's worthless collections.
2147  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $17.5K the low? on: July 26, 2022, 12:33:35 PM
Today bitcoin has reached 24k, which is about 40% of the expected bottom at 17.5k. Unless a reversal back to the bottom happens at these levels, we can say that 17.5k was indeed the bottom. But I wouldn't be too quick to buy now, it's too easy to buy for all those wishing to buy at those prices. There is a chance that the bottom will be tested again.
Still too early though so say that bottom is in? I mean bear market is going to take even next year. And if we take the same pattern at the last bear market, the price still goes down hard  prior to the halving year. I'm not a perma bear, I'm just trying to be realist and say that I'm still considering the $17,500 to be not the all time high, without looking at the charts, just basing on past history price.
2148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 26, 2022, 11:58:25 AM
Draymond Green shaking the social media universe. Again.

I’m watching the 98 Bulls vs Utah in the Finals… I can’t help but notice our 2017 team would’ve beaten these Bulls by a dub and these Jazz by 40 if they’re going to play these brands of basketball. And that’s why it’s dumb to compare Era’s
Why are people getting more and more sensitive about these things?
The last sentence is the main focus of what he said. It's dumb to compare eras. And I think we have discussed that here in our NBA thread.
Bulls were great in their time and I have no little doubt about that.
Lakers were also great with Kobe and Shaq.
Spurs were damn good with the trio and the added young Kawhi Leonard.
They have their own eras where they dominated the league but now it's just Warriors time.
And that's why it's so dumb to compare eras. But for sake of argument:

Green vs Rodman or Karl Malone? I don't think that Draymond can guard this either one of them. Karl Malone alone, that physically, and then Rodman, freakish rebounding prowess that only Green can admire.

Klay Thompson vs Pippen ? (put your narrative here)
Steph Curry vs Ron Harper ?
Durant vs Toni Kukoc?

And the question is, who is going to guard Jordan?
2149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos You're Playing That Are not On This Forum on: July 26, 2022, 10:12:26 AM
I can't recall the name of the fiat casino that I once tried. So I did play on it, but when I was about to withdraw, they ask for pertaining documents, KYC in short. So I just decided to play everything, it was just like $100 or so winnings though, so instead of sending my docs and whatnot. Just play and lose everything as I don't want to be KYC'ed, simple as that. After that I never ever try to play on fiat based casinos anymore.
2150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Discussion] Our Successor in Bitcoin Forum on: July 26, 2022, 03:20:03 AM
Not sure about it though, I mean maybe some of us here doesn't have children and if they do, perhaps they are willing to take the knowledge on crypto and gave it to their children. But it doesn't mean that they will have to be active in this community. Sure you can gave our account password or our private key, after all they are our children. But still up to them on how they are going to used it, we can only hope that they will continue what we have started, but we can't dictate everything to them.
2151  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 26, 2022, 02:41:13 AM
I did try to look for Campa's highlights, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYpUKfIY0hA

Could be a good match as both is brawler, however, this is the fight that Lopez excel, maybe except for the Kambosos fight as obviously, he already lost this one. So if they brawl in this fight, I think Lopez will still come up and maybe score a big KO win. Just a couple of weeks from know and we will see how Lopez is, if he adjusted to this division and didn't lose any of his power going up in weight.
I'm still not sold though on Campa and I think he was chosen for reasons, as it will highlight again Lopez style and power as both will slug it out and in the end, the power of Lopez might knock out Campa in the end.

As for the bets, yes, obviously Campa is the underdog and it's good to bet on him. However, still, smart money will go on Lopez, might just be looking for other betting listings from our favorite crypto sports bookies.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: July 25, 2022, 09:16:45 PM
If Crawford will work under Mayweather, then he could probably improve his defense which will give him more edge in this fight.

That's for sure as Mayweather is the best defensive boxer, and a Hall of Famer, but I hope the will not be taught how to be boring, LOL. I'm really excited about this fight, but until now, it's still not declared that it's official, so what's the real score here?
And besides, Crawford has a perfect defense already, no need to learn new tricks at this point on his career. We can say that it's already perfect as no one has beaten him. Not sure though what his association with Floyd as they have been seen in public together?

Again, at this point, no final word from both camps, so we don't know what is the real score whether negotiations is continuing or has stop already.
2153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 23, 2022, 08:59:22 AM
Regarding the much anticipated fight between Davis and Ryan Garcia, Tank said or at least his promotion, Floyd Mayweather that he is not going to fight Ryan at 135 lbs. So Ryan needs to go down to 135 lbs since his last 2 fights where in the limit of 140 lbs. For sure he can still make this weight and schedule the fight this December or early next year so that we will see who is the best in the 135 lbs and then Garcia can move on to 140 lbs if he wanted to.
2154  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: There is a new scam going around on Twitter, WHY THOUGH?!? on: July 23, 2022, 08:10:08 AM
[..snip..]
Very popular on ETH network however seems new on TRX.

I guess the scammers is one step of the game here?

Yeah, and I agree that's how this cyber criminals are making a living out of these unsuspecting victim, luring them into a too good to be true offer and exploiting someone's greediness and thinks that he can have all that amount in one sweep. But then again, this scammers knows the game very well already, that we might say that we can't outsmart them.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 23, 2022, 07:44:23 AM
^^ I guess it's just a question of Booker's mentality though, I rated him above Tatum couple of years ago, but right now, it seems that Tatum is more clutch than him specially with the way their series with Dallas turns out.

So let's see if he can go back next season with a lot of pride and prove something in return. He is still in his prime, can average 25 ppg++ and be on the top of the scoring list. He just need to be consistent and have that Black Mamba mentality.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: July 23, 2022, 07:12:02 AM
Jesus the odds is making Robson too weak.
Shakur by the way is already in the Pound for Pound list. Shakur will win this with wide UD if not by KO. Hard to outclass Shakur will his skills he is like semi-Loma back in his prime days. Neither Robson or Cordina will win against him which I believe is his next fight too.
I agree, Robson might have given Oscar Valdez all he can handle, but against this version of Shakur we might be looking for a knockout or unanimous decision as you have said. Could be a wide margin and then we will see brilliance of Shakur just like in the Valdez fight.

Maybe after this fight, Shakur might go with unification fight with maybe Cordina IBF champion or Gutierrez at WBA.
2157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back above realized price on: July 22, 2022, 10:10:46 AM
Experienced traders know how they can trade in a way both sideways will favour them.

Holders believe in buying and holding for long and they will make profit if they invest after massive bear market.

Because of that, i prefer to just hold, but not all, as the price continue to decrease, the more I will buy and invest. I think the price of bitcoin is still going down below $20000 again and I think this year will not favour bitcoin price.

Yes I too do the same.
I am a type of people who likes to hold their Bitcoins. I have seen in the couple of hours many have made thousands by just selling and buying the coins, but still for a long term trader like me, it will suitable to hold for long time.
And yes finally Bitcoins have shown some green trend compare to few days. If it continues to grow like this for the next couple of days, then I am sure it will come out of the resistance and soon will recover.
Nevertheless we need to just wait for few more weeks to see BTC back in action again.
As other's have said, bitcoin investment is a journey like a marathon and not a sprint. So it's better to be a wise investors, going long term is the thing for us, doesn't complicate our lives and just buy during the dip and hold.

Regarding the question, we all have been asking the same for months and we have seen many threads about it. Most of the time we wanted to believed that it is over based on the charts presented. But there will be time that it might divert and go on another path and we don't know what is going to happen next.
2158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC or Gold Investment? on: July 22, 2022, 09:45:02 AM
And since you are in a bitcointalk comunity, obviously the answer will be BTC. But if you are a traditional investor, most likely you will go for Gold. However, if you really wanted to take advantage of both markets, I guess diversification is good. I mean when bitcoin is very volatile and we are in a bear market, then maybe Gold might be a good option to at least hedge your wealth for some time. And then go bitcoin when we are about to start a bull run. At least it's going to be a win-win situation for you.
2159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 22, 2022, 09:10:54 AM
Yes, I do agree that it will be the same reason and probably he will school Kambosos again that's why Haney is willing to fight him in Australia.

Of course George might say that he will have the plan and will adjust. But Haney's technical ability will be in full display again and I doubt that Kambosos can offset it with his brawling style.
2160  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Former Coinbase employee charge with insider trading. on: July 22, 2022, 08:21:20 AM
First time I heard actually that involved high personality, high profile exchange like Coinbase.

It's funny how they caught their former employee, and probably they didn't wash out their coins as they may have been track, how ironic. Or are they whistle blower or they were just caught with their pants down here?
