2161  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 08, 2022, 06:40:47 AM
Any alternative with supplies will cost a lot more due to logistical problems. Therefore, a more likely scenario is the purchase of Russian gas in other countries, and according to documents, it will not come from Russia.

I don't think so - because of the same logistical problems. In order to resell Russian gas to the European Union in a democratic package, the intermediary must have some kind of surplus, and no one has such surplus now. Hungary recently agreed with Gazprom on additional gas supplies in the amount of several million cubic meters per day, which will come through the Turkish Stream - and this is perhaps all that the European Union can count on. If Hungary wants to share.

Wasn't Germany the intermediary before? I believe that there might be a conspiracy here. Tin-foil hats on, but the United States might have something to do with this. Because when Germany, the intermediary, has been importing more and more Natural Gas from Russia, they also started being less dependent on U.S. Gas. Isn't possible that the U.S. wants the E.U. to be more dependent on them than the Russians?

Yep. Germany was an intermediary and resold gas to neighbors through a virtual or physical reverse, but now this is in the past - Germany itself does not have enough gas in the conditions of the Nord Stream shutdown.

After reading more about the situation, and talking/learning about it more from smart people, I believe the U.S. didn't intentionally want Germany and the rest of Europe to be a casualty of the conflict. They wanted to use Europe, being the largest buyers of Russian Gas, to stop Russia from invading Ukraine. Biden thought it would be to their advantage, and they thought that Putin would surrender. But Biden never expected Russia's resilience in spite of the sanctions. What should they do now? The U.S. and Europe have no more choice but to keep going unless they swallow their pride and bow to Russia.

I cannot see any Craps games by Evolution in BlackJack.fun, both live and the first person game. But I will go check again later, if I have the time. If it's truly there, and I can't see it, it might not be included in the "Genre" listed as "Craps".

did you try to search Crap on evolution lobby?
because i just did search it and found it in there but it's a first person Crap unfortunately there is no live craps in blackjack.fun

You can't search the live version of craps using the casino search bar because it's not visible using it. You can just see the live version of craps on the evolution lobby under the blackjack category. I really don't know what exactly the reason why the casino database of evolution gaming games is very limited but you can browse the full list of games by evolution gaming on the actual game lobby once you enter on any games by evolution gaming.

Evolution gaming lobby is located on the menu bar once you are on any evolution games screen.

Where do I find the Evolution Lobby under the BlackJack category? Are you talking about the menu beside the casino search bar, or is there something else.

Because for me, these are the only games that appear on the screen if in the menu I choose Evolution, and then "All Games".

Not sure if anyone else experienced the same thing but I'm having a problem to access my account. It says invalid password although am certain I provided the right one.
I tried to reset the password by clicking the "forget password" button, received the email, defined a new password, but it's still not working!
Just for the recird: I entered an incorrect password multiple times before entering the correct one so it may be due to this!
Unfortunately, I can't try with a different browser/device or clear the browser's cache right now (don't ask me why  Tongue). I just wanted to know if someone else had faced something similar before?

Not today but some time ago yes I experienced it even 3 times , I save my password in chrome so I'm pretty sure I'm using the right password but can't login so I'm assuming blackjack.fun just updated something so the user need to update the password. I don't think it's too complicated to reset the password , are you still having trouble?

The same issue also happened to me. I tried two password changes through my registered email before I could log in. The first time didn't work, the second change was successful.

I believe the casino is updating its database, and they might be deleting not very active entries.

It's probably another Golden Opportunity to buy Bitcoin if you have some extra savings that you can use for a long term HODL. In two years, I believe we would see Bitcoin double from its current price. Place your bids, it's a good day to buy the DIP. This is not financial advice, merely a suggestion from a fellow pleb.
Cool

Greeting fellow pleb.

I cannot really disagree in regards to buying on the dip in this price territory since we seem to not know if there is going to be more dip or not..

Greetings ser, no we do not, but it's also a kind of personal preference on what DIP you place your bids and what is your comfort level. Personally, I'm very comfortable in buying the current DIP, it's so deep from where Bitcoin's price was during November. I believe it can't go another 80% lower from current price, that I'm protected from further mental insanity.

Cool

We the plebs should also gather together and form "Bitcoin Club", and the first rule of "Bitcoin Club" is,

2165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: High inflation is causing GLOBAL protests on: September 06, 2022, 10:15:56 AM
I don't blame those who protest rightly and wisely. Because now there are many ways that every citizen can take when protesting for their rights as citizens. So a protest that is in accordance with the rules and also carried out in a wise way will be much better than doing it in a lay way or a one-day action with a duration of several hours as you said before.
Me too.

I can't blame them if they're protesting righteously and fighting for what is right. There are nonsense protests that are just wasting resources and effort.

But if it's a terrible state of the country and these people, the citizens are seeing the wrongdoing of the officials or there's no action being taken then they are doing the right thing of sending them their message.

Perhaps we should be more understanding to those people who are protesting, and they're doing it because it's probably  they have no choice. There's another protest that just started in the Czech Republic because of an energy crisis that's happening in the region. Because if you don't have the feeling that you need to protest, it's probably because you're lucky you live in a region where your basic needs are available and affordable.
2166  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT A STORE OF VALUE on: September 06, 2022, 09:58:23 AM
The history as described by the research of Nick Szabo tells it differently, or some of it. The "assets" that were used as Medium of Exchange were collectibles, and because they were Stores of Value, they became the preferred Medium of Exchange. Because how could there be a social consensus develop around an "asset" to be a Medium of Exchange if the asset itself is not a Store of Value? Why would I trade my drugs with you if your Medium of Exchange is a common rock? If the rock has a Store of Value component, like a diamond, we can talk.

limited utility tribal communities of a small subset era are what you/he describe
i included kingdoms, empires and government controlled versions..

Limited if compared to empires and kingdoms, yes, but it still makes the point that collectibles, and assets as Stores of Value according to social consensus, were wanted, were desired, and were used as Mediums of Exchange because they had value. I believe Bitcoin is taking this path.

Quote

i think you forget to realise that many cultures of forms of kingdoms, empires and governments have existed for THOUSANDS of years

I didn't forget. Medium of Exchange that's issued, endorsed, and their value assured by a Government is also desirable, and for that it has become something valuable. A path impossible for Bitcoin. Because it's not backed by a Government, I believe Bitcoin has to have value as a Store of Value first if it's to be a Medium of Exchange.

Quote

oh and diamonds are not worth the PRICE you pay.

I agree, and I merely used it as an example to make a point. It's either the common rock, or the diamond to trade for the drugs. Which one would the drug dealer accept as payment?

I want to play more in BlackJack.fun, and try the VIP system in the casino, but I cannot play my favorite game.

sujonali1819, can you request directly to the owners to please fix the Craps games by Nucleus? It doesn't load for me, but in OwlGames I play Craps by Nucleus without any loading issues. If it cannot be fixed, another suggestion would be to add Craps by Evolution, live and first person. Cool
Hi, Ok, I will forward the info to the owner.

OK thanks!

Keeping in mind the most important factor, without gold and silver, all electronic equipment wouldn't exist = bitcoin would not exist. Computers, phones, tv's, etc ALL require silver and gold to be manufactured.

Ser, read the Origins of Money by Nick Szabo, https://nakamotoinstitute.org/shelling-out/

I believe that proves the fact that it DOESN'T MATTER if the Store of Value asset is a metal, pieces of glass, or a SHELL if the social conensus was formed that the Store of Value asset is valuable, or not. It can be debated that Bitcoin would have been worth close to ZERO if it wasn't adopted by the drug dealers of the Dark Markets. But it was, and it has censorship-resistance components that they need which made it valuable for them, and if it was valuable for them, the value surged when many more of them adopted it, and when the value surged, it also has become valuable to US.

social consensus of money is about agreeing on a medium of exchange (not store of value)
that medium can be twigs, shells, pebbles, gold, paper, or crypto

(..........)

Things to Note:
  1. Always apply your stop loss and take profit option
 2. Do not trade with emotions
 3. Have a good source for signal or information about the crypto your trading.
 4. It good to know that your asset can be liquidated when the leverage is high resulting to total loss of funds.

When trading futures assets, one must be prepared to encounter losses as well as profit but it's advice to stay clear if you can't manage your risk.
Another note to add is "chasing losses" this is one of many common mistakes of traders, this also has a connection with emotions because they are thinking that they can make those losses in just one trade or overnight.

Caused by emotions, which, there are many of you in the millions of participants in the market who might be "chasing losses", making the market more volatile and therefore more profitable for the top 10% of traders who are taking advantage of it.

Quote

This act must be handled properly because capital preservation is a must, it's better not to trade than to chase losses because there are still a lot of opportunities for the next trade.

The problem, is "HOW" if you have a trade open? The solution might be, I have not tried it, I stopped active daily/swing trading before I had the chance, is make a trading system that makes you know before hand, when to buy and how much to buy, and when to close the trade, and pre-program it in your exchange's trading site through the use of the different types of orders.

Trolls trying to discourage newbies, and people in general to use Bitcoin, and HODL it as a Store of Value. They will say that because it's volatile, therefore it can't be used as a Store of Value. But what's the definition of Store of Value? Isn't it an asset, commodity, or a currency that can hold and maintain its value over long periods of time? Bitcoin not a Store of Value?

ZOOM OUT.

Bitcoin will be around until we die.

OP, very easy to say it, and to have a presumption that you can do it, than actually doing it while trading a truly volatile market such as that of cryptocurrencies. PLUS the volatility that you're "taking advantage", and trading is actually caused by? They are caused by the emotions of the other traders in the market who are also trying to take advantage of the volatiltiy and who are trading against you. Cool
2175  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: September 03, 2022, 09:35:14 AM
Hey Bitcointalkers,

What games do you like to play (mobile, board games, easy game with friends, etc.) that you would love to see put into an online casino for real betting?

There have been a lot of successful yet simple games in online casinos like Heads or Tails, Over/Under, and more. We are looking to see what games you guys love and wonder if we can turn them into an online betting game!

I think monopoly will be more interesting if it is used as a part of betting, because as we know monopoly is a fairly easy game and where every player can face each other in a player vs player game. so the level of prowess and luck will appear real

this is just hope

Imo, monopoly is a great game for friends and relatives, who came together to spend time just to relax. It's important to sit around one table, in real life, for this board game.

But they used to say the same things about poker, and look at online poker now. So, who knows?

Ser, if played more properly and seriously, Monopoly is actually a game that requires skill and strategy to win consistently. It's "fun" for spending time with friends/family, and also "relaxing" if no one made a bet with real actual money to award for the winner of the game. But bet enough money in the game, and you'll see the relaxing mood, become more serious with more intention to win. Hahaha.

2176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 03, 2022, 08:31:07 AM
I'd love to hear more of this, I hope there would be an update soon with the case.

it's kind of weird that Chris Freeman's stake in the casino was reduced from 20% to 14% while Ed Craven and Bijan Tehrani stake in the casino did not(I assumed it wasn't reduced because it was never mentioned in the article that their stake was affected)? I wish they'd give more information since I think this one is still lacking.

Stake's founders did the same like the Facebook founders' situation. In Facebook, because Eduardo Saverin wasn't always present in Facebook's offices, Mark Zuckerburg with the help of some lawyers diluted Saverin's share of the company, to issue more shares for new investors. Eduardo Saverin and his lawyers sued, and Mark Zuckerburg and Facebook settled the case without going to court. "Money for damages caused".
2177  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 03, 2022, 08:17:54 AM
Dear residents of Europe!

1. Do not believe Russian propaganda and its corrupt mongrels in your countries. Ukraine is an economic terrorist and a war criminal, Russia, for many years, from year to year, with hysteria and joy (for Russia, to do an abomination to a neighbor is one of the key goals of life) before the heating season promised that we "will definitely freeze this year without Russian gas !quickly agree to all our conditions!". We sent them and send them, and no one froze, except ... for some of the inhabitants of Russia, where the level of gasification of households is less than 50% Smiley This is a fact. And they collect brushwood and fallen trees from ancient times to the present day ... And they will collect, now for many hundreds of years, because. Russia is a technologically backward country, and cannot properly provide its citizens with normal living conditions.

2. Yes, this winter you will be forced to go through some procedure of "removing the pathogenic virus" Russian gas "that hit your economy. Yes, and you will probably have to raise the question - who and how led to the fact that your economy was essentially sold to the management of the country terrorists in order to control politicians, corrupt politicians who are ready to exchange you and your countries for handouts from the Kremlin Nazis, but in 2023 you will be able, by slightly reducing gas consumption, to completely leave Russia's gas needle.

Believe me - it's not as scary as Russian propaganda draws! They always lie and always bully. For example, in Ukraine they have been spitting on them for a long time and ignoring all their "scarecrows" Smiley

Is there truly a Russian propaganda? Can you post, and quote examples with links? Thanks. I'm rather curious how those propagandas read like.

Plus it would be very easy to say to go through winter with limited, or no heating and energy if you are not there to experience it. There are real people, FAMILIES, who would suffer, or even also die. I know it was wrong of Putin to order the attack on Ukraine, I'm not saying ignore it. But it's very hard for those ordinary people to go through the coming winter.

2178  Economy / Economics / Re: Germans are looking to firewood for energy as natural gas prices soar on: September 02, 2022, 11:21:36 AM
Germany shouldn't have shut down their Nuclear power plants. Tin-foil hats on, but sometimes I believe that the governments around Europe are infiltrated by "its enemies" and cause their leaders to make very stupid policies. Because why did Germany allow themselves to be dependent on Russian gas? Plus Germany's leaders sanctioned Russia, and they complain because Russia won't give them the Natural Gas that they need?

The Black Swan will not be a Black Swan, because we already know what will come "next". I'm too afraid to say "it", but countries like New Zealand, South Africa, and Iceland will be the safest destinations if "it" will happen.
2179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino Stake.com sued for $400 million on: September 02, 2022, 11:09:22 AM
Its weird to see a former partner, co founder of primedice sue Stake. I think its lack of contract. Yet it feels bad to watch his friends move ahead with a project he designed without proper settlement or information.

It's not "weird", it actually has happened multiple times if a dissatisfied co-founder of a start up starts to sue his/her former partners because he/she believes that he or she has been treated unfairly, or he/she wasn't given a fair severence package if he/she was told to leave the company. The story of Facebook was one of the biggest example.

But, these cases always end in a settlement, without going to court, with everyone happy. The plaintiff gets his/her money, the defendant doesn't need to go to court. Simple.
2180  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🦉 Owl.games 🦉 Web 3.0 Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - BTC-Metamask-Walletconnect on: September 02, 2022, 09:46:13 AM
Hi OwlGames, I was browsing around your casino, and I noticed that its users can only log into the site through using a MetaMask wallet? I'm not an Ethereum user, nor am I a Binance blockchain user. Is there a "regular" way to log into OwlGames casino and deposit Bitcoins? It's the only cryptocurrency I have, and I would really like to play Craps from Nucleus. Cool

This is the beauty of the owl gambling platform Sir because you don't need to pass KYC, unlike most gambling platforms, almost all of them have KYC that is required when a gambler releases a lot on their platform.

Now if the only problem you are having is being able to log into an owl using Bitcoin, You can use the bitcoin that you gamble with BNB to enter owl games using the metamask wallet dude. And when you do that, either ERC20 or BEP20 you can use it.

This question that you quote is already answered mate through signing up using email during the registration process. Besides Native Bitcoin is the one supported by Owl wallet because I don’t see any other blockchain option on the deposit page. Having a BSC Bitcoin is indeed good to save fees since exchange like Binance accepts BSC Bitcoin on there wallet deposit.

You can see Wind fury question already solved here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5378280.msg60818434#msg60818434

Haha. Plus "BSC Bitcoin" is not actually Bitcoin. It's merely an IOU issued in another "blockchain", and in his example the Binance Smart Chain. I believe many users don't understand the difference yet, and have presumed that tokens representing Bitcoins in another chain is as good as actual Bitcoins. It's not, because you need to trust a third party holding the Bitcoins.

What's the difference between using MetaMask, and opening an account? Does using MetaMask send the coins straight to your wallet if you win? Or do you also need to deposit and withdraw to an account?
