I think it is very important to clarify whether any coins could be sent out with a hologram on and yet end up not being funded.

If we have to rely on checking the public address, what is the point of having a tamper-proof hologram?

The cost of funding a coin that may have been lost or stolen in the post is worth the benefit of having a whole circulation of coins that are guaranteed to be funded.

So far a package has not gotten stolen or lost. It's guaranteed to arrive for the most part being sent via registered mail.

The idea is to fund all coins but if a package never gets to the original buyer from me then there is no point in funding the coins.

So far mike has not had a package lost or stolen reported and never turned up at his address or the buyer's.

I suppose I could fund stolen coins but does that make any sense?

Curious on your folks' input.

well if it's pretty much guaranteed to arrive then the flipside argument would be then why not fund them before you ship if you have nothing to lose?

i'm just saying that it's probably more worth it to you to have all your customers assured that an intact hologram means what it's supposed to mean; a loaded coin.  the small losses due to theft is miniscule.

this is the fungibility argument that is so important to any BTC or LTC whether it be physical or virtual.

IMO this is really important.
Imagine one customer buying the stoled coins and after realizing they don't have litecoins inside :/
2163  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Block Erupter Europe info & sale thread on: July 15, 2013, 03:59:39 PM
HE IS MINING WITH OUR EQUIPMENT!!! I am almost 100% sure about it, why would he also start selling USB HUBS, very strange COINCIDENCE!!!
I am waiting since 25th of june, received only some shitty response (made up never exisiting timeline).
Waiting for papers from German authorities? How many papers you need to send package within EU?
It's so bad that Friedcat is not aware what is actually going on in here.

that's exactly what i thought

why you buy from pre-orders and similar stupid auctions ?

I have xy pieces at home, No stupid queues, pre-orders etc

Be extremely careful with EuropeanMiner!

He doesn't accept escrow...... and he registered 7 July... No way he could PM yxt for buying the USB and getting them. All USB Batch 1 from yxt sold out before that.
Please use escrow or run away.

Saludos!

the best thing for everyone would be if they offered partial refunds, that way they keep some money and customers are all happy.

+1

2169  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: July 14, 2013, 08:38:44 PM
I'm happy to see the current flat stabilization of the price. It could then get back to the previous patern of "stay flat... stay flat.... increase suddently and never come back... stay flat... stay flat... etc".

I do enjoy the staying flat calmness it brings forth anticipation and excitement when it suddenly goes ^^

Just wait until new blades come to the market, we will see another jump  Wink
2170  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ASICMINER Blade Sales [Temporarily Out of Stock] on: July 14, 2013, 08:37:51 PM
WHen will the next one be in stock and for sell?

They're currently pre-selling in China. I hope next week they open pre-orders to the rest of the world.
2171  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] >>AsicMiner USB, Casascius Coins!<< Pay with SEPA/BTC! on: July 14, 2013, 04:46:14 PM
If you check again it only took 5 working days, not 10.

He shipped the package the 28th (he sent online order 25th but that doesn't count) and you can't count weekends.

Estoy deseando que lleguen ya! Tengo todo preparado para embalarlo y re-enviar.

2173  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] >>AsicMiner USB, Casascius Coins!<< Pay with SEPA/BTC! on: July 14, 2013, 02:28:40 PM
DHL DHL Express
Yes, yxt. I know that "in the flesh". It took 10 days from Germany to Portugal, to receive the USB Block Erupters from you (first German group-buy).

As I buy many things via eBay, Germany included, I know for sure that Registered Airmail takes only 2 to 3 days from Germany to Portugal (and other EU countries). Probably, for packages less than 2 KG, it would be better to send them by Registered Airmail instead DHL (standard): Lower price and less days. But this is only my humble opinion.

I think in your order was some error, holidays or bad luck, because is not normal they take 10 days.
2174  Local / Mercadillo / Re: BitStore en España! >>Monedas Casascius, USB ASICMINER y mucho más<< on: July 14, 2013, 01:13:21 PM

Saludos!

2178  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] >>AsicMiner USB, Casascius Coins!<< Pay with SEPA/BTC! on: July 13, 2013, 12:52:59 AM
If someone is interested I have 20 units not sold from someone who failed to pay.
I'm selling them @1.15btc/each. I'm no longer offering discount on 5+ units since they're my last units and I don't know when I'm receiving more.

PM if you want to buy!

Cheers!

I hate DHL... The package with 2 Gizmos that I received from yxt in first group-buy, took 10 days from Germany to Portugal  Cry

I hope your's will arrive really soon, BitAddict!

I hope no!  Shocked
It always took 3 days from China to Spain, with customs included. It should be just 2-3 days from Germany.

Saludos!
