I'm happy to see the current flat stabilization of the price. It could then get back to the previous patern of "stay flat... stay flat.... increase suddently and never come back... stay flat... stay flat... etc".

Monero's privacy and therefore fungibility are MUCH stronger than Bitcoin's.
This makes Monero a better candidate to deserve the term "digital cash".

By the power invested in the seer of bitcoin I shall see into the future using the power of Schroinger's Cat to access the key that accesses the mind of the Friedcat and predict the worthiness of this prediction, as the reckoning approaches I sense great power emanating from the date July 24 be prepared ye mortals for the day that hath yet to come approaches.

It's pretty quiet in here...noone is speculating.
Any predictions on the hardware sales?

Edit: I predict 4.5 a share after the dividend.

Hmm Since it is speculation I expect some announcements the market does not expect will start rising the share price within the next 6 weeks  Wink
Edit: Within this month so people can keep making fun of my predictions if the previous one fails or so I can get 1/2 50% accuracy if one of them becomes true and one becomes false in a month or 2/3 if the within a month is wrong and the 6 weeks turns out to be correct  Cool
I must beat 0/3 or be forever trolled  Cheesy

I kind of want to print that quote and put it on my corkboard.

On topic though, the share price has been much more stable this week, so unless there is any major news, I think 4.3-4.5 share price based on dividends alone driving it.

On a sidenote Klondike is close now so I might just get tanked hardcore they are to me the real AM competitor Wink

K16 Board Revision is completed.

v0.3.0 - Final testing

FINAL BETA K16 v0.3.0 Board Design Released.

If it pushes to production in the next week I might just make that bold and make it an ANN for everyone to look at haha it will take some time from there for it to seriously impact but it would be real not speculation.

Going to use this as the thread as we speculate here they are still finishing development it is their work place do not want to url link to it
____
BKK

GIANT NOTE THIS IS NOT A READY VERSION

If you want a plug n play board you need to go with one of the vendors making a real product.

Your average tinkerer is not going to want to get into this (it took BKK 6 hours to hand place the parts, 3 minutes to cook, and many hours of testing). He will be writing up a PDF guide later

All this Is BKK

I've pushed my latest design files up to GitHub and updated the parts list.

Have Fun. New 3D render and gerber outputs also there. Use gerbv and open the kicad/ka6/ka6.gvp file.

Tomorrow I hope to have a web store open. Still a bunch of work to do there, setup Paypal and Bitcoin Pmts, and I need to take a few photos. Initially I expect to have pre-order K16 and K1 Board Only sales. Pre-order as in I'll order the boards and when they come in I'll ship them out - not months of angst waiting.

I'll also have Solder Paste Stencils for K16 and K1, and a small plain Heat Sink for the K1 as well. The boards include a license fee component, and pricing for QTY 1-9, 10-25, 26-50, 51-99, 100+. I plan to add some pre-programmed PIC parts later but that also depends on supply, and there's not much point in that until I have a boot loader written.

Note - my firmware files now default for use with inverters on result data and clk. If you still use non-inverted you will need to edit two lines before building in addition to setting chip count and bank values. I'll get some of this cleaned up with proper defines before long.

Next up: QFN variant and then K1 revision.

K16s can't be produced next week as the Avalon chips haven't yet been delivered.

*Since* this is the speculation thread...

Share price has been stagnant/steady in the 4.1x to 4.3 range for the past week or so, I expect the price to rise sharply when the big hardware dividends come in this week or next week.

Prepare to sell around 5.25 to 5.5, the price will soon be back to ~4.8/4.9 after the initial buying wave dies down.

Nothing indicates to me that 'people are more rational now' than they were two weeks ago; the bubble just popped (and yes, there can be multiple bubbles and pops).

The recent BASIC-MINING skyrocket and fall, the fact that TAT.VM only now just broke .004 (besides the dive a few weeks ago), and the fact that BFMINES is 1/3 sold tell me that people are just as crazy as they used to be.

I guess every time a price rises there will be people that call it a bubble. And every time it declines, it is a bubble bursting. I guess some see millions of bubbles being blown and burst every week where most of us just see price fluctuations.

I tend to think it is just a way of trying to increase the importance of natural market fluctuations, and to make themselves feel clever because they have a particular insight that allows them to see these trends before anyone else does. Perhaps not. But If they are to be believed, AsicMiner and BTC must have more bubbles than the head of a poorly-poured draft beer.

People are waiting to see what happens with the hardware, but looking at the popularity of the pre-orders, I think we can expect to see huge dividends for the first 3-4 weeks after the blades go up for sale.

FC hasn't mentioned anything about that, and people are predicting July 24, though "early July" was the last update from FC.

I hope FC gets them up for sale this week, so we can start getting that added revenue.

Would you consider all of AM's price movements 'natural market fluctuations'? You're correct that everything isn't a bubble, but they do exist - the 1999 'tech bubble' and the recent 'US home mortgage industry bubble' of the mid 2000s really were bubbles and really did burst.
