221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 4 Years ago people laughed at me bcz of THIS on: March 15, 2024, 10:14:48 PM
BTC is digital gold, Stoling Millions of BTC from people was  definitely worth to making and spreading covid.
Thats what you dont understand.
I'm lost
How did Covid lead to stealing of People's BTC.
Reduction in the value of BTC
Doesn't reduce the unit one has.
Covid Crash is a famous event in history, On that day, the price of Bitcoin dropped more than 50% in less than a few hours and many people sold it and In fact, they gave their bitcoins to whales as a gift.

I remember this is also what most felt when BTC was just starting on its inception. People were very skeptical about its use, so they sold majority of their BTCs in which only a few HODL.

Also, back in 2017 when I first started, price of BTC was sitting comfortably at ~$4,000. There were people saying that BTC would soon "pop" and its price would plummet in the following years due to its volatility.

If there is a similarity between these two stories is that almost everyone was proven wrong. By basing it purely on its price history, you could already have an impression that the price trend is increasing over the years.

223  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Fake websites of Pinksale exist online, so be careful. on: March 15, 2024, 05:00:12 PM
If you join a Telegram channel about cryptocurrencies and you see a bunch of people advertising various projects, then run and do not ever look back.

As mentioned also, TG groups are just one of the most notorious platforms for spreading fake and scam projects. Due to the anonymity that it provides, lots of people create fake wallets with malware in order to trick newbies. Not to mention, if a person randomly messages you telling to invest in a certain project or if they claim that they have free deposit bonuses on an exchange, then that calls for various red flags.

Again, prevention is always better than cure. Avoid these platforms and be responsible enough to double or even triple check every website that you might potentially invest in given that scammers are developing new ways in order to trick people.
224  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Aside from crypto ano pa pinagkakaabalahan nyo? (2) on: March 15, 2024, 04:30:31 PM

Dahil dito, natuto din ako mag hanap ng alternatives para at least meron akong two (2) sources of money (one being BTC via signature campaigns). Natuto ako mag buy and sell ng mga diecast collectibles (e.g. Hot Wheels, Matchbox, etc.) since madami din ang nagiging hobby ang pag collect ng mga ito and may mga designated FB groups din ito.

Ang ginagawa ko usually is tinatago ko yung mga sought after na models (e.g. Skyline, Civics, etc.) tapos kapag medyo tumagal tagal na, binebenta ko ito sa FB Marketplace ng mga diecast (e.g. DCPH) for the collectors also. In addition, nag buy and sell din ako ng diecast and pinapatagal ko lang siya para medyo mas maging mataas yung value niya.

I also played tons of online games (e.g. FPS, MMORGPs, etc.) pero sobrang time consuming nito. Nakapag benta na din ako ng mga accounts with good items pero the time invested is not worth the reward talaga.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 15, 2024, 04:11:18 PM
I find it confusing that people are sharing their gambling winnings with other people. This is just a fruit of envy waiting to be ripen especially if you share this with people who are struggling financially. I mean, there is nothing wrong in sharing your winnings but you must also read the room and the situation if it calls for such act. Not to mention, you also endanger yourself on your security and safety as there will be people who might commit illegal acts out of desperation for money.

Its something common that we see people get gealous of us when badging an achievement, some may show it while some may manage not to express that on thier face, same way we may also be founf being jealous about other peoples achievenments, this is natural, but when we do and never aim to covet that whichthey had nor harm them, then we are not at fault, instead, sme will go extra miles to see that they do some funny shows behind to hurt those with achievements.

Personally, winning something in gambling is not an achievement that should be bragged about. The game itself is risky and the rewards are just too high for the average person to feel tempted and to try gambling.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Buying and Selling of Casino Accounts (Discussion thread) on: March 15, 2024, 03:44:12 PM
<..snip..>
Now, my question is..
- is it right to sell ones casino account, most especially when the account is KYCed?
- Do casinos have any policy against account sells?

No it is not right and it is a violation of the ToS of a gambling website to transfer your account to another user via selling.

Under the ToS of most gambling websites, there is a prohibition about account selling where the owner is prohibited to do such. In addition, when you submit your KYC documents to a certain gambling website, you are also implying that you are the owner of such account thereof. If you sell that account with your KYC information, then it is in effect fraud and deceit where a person is using your information on your account.

Quote
- If you have the opportunity of buying a casino account, would you buy or build yours from afresh?

No and never since the risks are too much for me to consider.

If I were to invest my time and money on a certain casino, then I would make sure that I have all the genuine information to be submitted. If I were to purchase an account from a seller then I invest my time and money on such, then there is always that risk of my account being banned and my funds being withheld by the gambling website.

Quote
- Would you sell your casino account if you decide to leave gambling completely, most especially, your KYCed account? If yes, how do you trust the buyer?
- Over all, is casino account trading legitimate? If yes, should I create a thread where gamblers can easily post their casino account sell ads?

No I would not sell my account as it is against the said rules.

If it is my account, then I have the KYC documents associated with it. Selling it to another user would put me into a situation of my profile being tagged across several gambling websites. Also, account trading is NOT legitimate unless the gambling platform says otherwise.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Is Legal In Our Country But if You Promote It Online You'll Go To Jail? on: March 15, 2024, 03:21:29 PM
That's a quite strange law because they are allowing gambling casinos and outlets to work without any restriction but when someone talks about it they will get penalized. If they really don't like gambling then they should take proper actions against the casinos and those lotto outlets, however, i they don't want to do that then they should allow citizens to talk about betting.

I think they are limiting to casinos/gambling establishments that are monitored by the government. If you advertise any kind of gambling platform other than those mandated by law or by the government, then that is where it becomes illegal.

Though that may be the case, I also find this peculiar that there is a pending bill regarding this kind of advertisements. It is just all over the place to the point that a person may be held liable for cases which are advertised by the government itself.

There may be good reasons on the government's part for such rules, but gamblers find them unreasonable. Everything that is bad on the part of gamblers is not necessarily bad to implement, especially since the government only wants to prevent more problems rather than allowing them to grow rapidly which is uncontrolled.

This bill was introduced in my country so I’m pretty sure that it’s content will be revised to a bare minimum since our government is corrupt while we get most of our taxes on gambling industry from huge scale casino like POGO which use various artist and influencer to promote their brand.

I doubt that this bill will successfully approved in the senate. Maybe this will be revised to target only influencers on social media that doing live stream but not to the level that it will be generalized for any gambling activity. I trust on how corrupt our government so this is an easy denied.  Cheesy

From what I learned in law school, majority of the bills that are passed through Congress will be heavily modified by the time it reaches the Senate. In fact, the whole bill can be changed essentially because the important requisite only is that the bill must ORIGINATE from the Congress.

For example, if the bill that originated from the lower house is about gambling, by the time it reaches the Senate, the whole bill can be about health or about anything. What is important only here is that the creation of the bill must start from the House of Representatives.
228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should Online Casinos Publish Their Bankroll? Your Thoughts? on: March 14, 2024, 06:41:34 PM
I definitely agree as this associates with the genuinity of a gambling website.

The problem with some of the gambling platforms is that they tend to claim that they will offer withdrawals for its users and even reward prizes but when a player wins a huge amount of money, they suddenly block their withdrawals out of no reason. Additionally, there are other gambling platforms who claim that they guarantee withdrawals but at the end, they tend to deny such winnings due to technicalities that they artificially created.

By posting their bankrolls, not only do its users see the current state of the liquidity of cash but also this gives them a guarantee that the company can supply withdrawals from what they promised to. This not only boosts their reputation but this can give them an impression that they are willing to supply its users with rewards.

In conclusion, I do think that online casinos SHOULD publish their payrolls to its users.
229  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do the juice Worth the squeeze? on: March 14, 2024, 05:08:29 PM
Hi,

As everyone knows the goal of betting is to get the largest amount of money , knowing that the risks do not change whether you bet a large or small amount, and sometimes the amount you bet with is your capital, and this drains you of your time and money, and perhaps your work and daily tasks.

Do you think that the benefits in gambling Worth the invest of your money and your time with knowing that your chances are Just 50/50?

This depends on the goal on why you want to gamble in the first place as the experience may vary.

If a person aims to gamble for the sake of having fun/entertainment, then profit is relatively important to him/her as satisfying such urge would be enough for him. Obviously, if a person aims to gamble with profit in mind, then winning is the aim.

To answer your question by providing a background above, investing your time in gambling CAN be profitable but it is essential that you only do this for short-term. With the presence of house-edge on gambling platforms, it is but natural for them to have the competitive edge in the long-run due to statistics alone. But if you have the discipline of knowing when to stop your gambling games, then you may squeeze every win that you experience by stopping, thus making it profitable on your end.
230  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 22Bet betting site scamming me on: March 14, 2024, 03:42:51 PM
<..snip..>
They just not giving me my withdraw. I mail them but some bot replies everytime that wait for 48 hours and same in live chat.
I am literally tired and don't know where to complain about this.

Hello, OP!

I suggest that you move this board to the SCAM ACCUSATION thread where you can post your complaint regarding the said gambling website. In addition, kindly include all the necessary screenshots of your transactions/games (if any) in order to have some proof against this gambling website.

If ever, does this gambling website have a designated ANN thread in this forum? Also, have you tried reaching out to their customer service representative regarding your problem? If they have not reached out, then this would be the perfect time for you to consider switching to a different gambling platform.

I suggest that you pour your resources into a gambling platform that has an active ANN thread in this forum for convenience and easier communication with their CS.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 14, 2024, 10:47:30 AM
There are gamblers who have great instincts and can forecast games that may end up winning the bet. But they are scared that they may lose. They dont trust their own betting predictions so they would rather go to a gambling prediction site to some daily betting tips.

So i want to know as a gambler that you are, do you feel following those betting predictions from those sites would favour us in gambling more than our own predictions? For me i trust my predictions and i have won more when i predict for myself than letting someone predict for me.

This depends but personally, I would definitely choose my own prediction rather than relying on a third-party website.

As a general rule, you should do your own research in order to arrive at a decision on which team to bet on. Such information and research would help you in arriving at what kind of prediction you would make in the process. If you have the time, then it is definitely recommended to do your personal research about the said matchup for more accurate results.

On the other hand, if you have no time to do research or if you are just looking for a quick bet, then you may follow what third-party websites may predict on the process. Be reminded, however, that if you rely on these, expect that the predictions may not be as accurate compared if you rely on your research.
232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 06:04:10 PM
<..snip..>

Question: Can you have so much love for your team to behave like this guy that even when you know your love fans team would loose a match, would you still further stake on the match against your team?
Remember that we are catching funs here and whoever chasing after profits is at its own will.

Well it is possible if that person is a die hard fan of such team to the point that he does not care if he losses money in the process. But from that kind of perspective, you can see and observe that the person does not AIM to profit in gambling. Rather, he views gambling as a method of support for his team in which he would feel betrayed if he betted against it.

The better answer to this question is that it purely depends on the goal of a person.

If a person is loyal to a certain team to the point that he does not care if it losses or not, then I guess it is possible to bet on an obviously losing team. On the other hand, if a gambler just wants to bet on a team that has the highest chance of winning, even if he likes the other team more, then he would be inclined to choose the opposing team for the sake of profiting and earning money in the process.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 13, 2024, 05:45:00 PM
I think the biggest factor here is the perspective/goal of the gambler on why they want to gamble in the first place.

If a gambler aims to play purely for entertainment, then he/she would most likely have control over his betting sprees.

On the other hand, if a gambler aims to earn income while gambling, then this will be relatively difficult for them to stop given that they have the tendency to continue until they profit from their games.

In gambling, the best way to stop is to actually force yourself to stop by using the circumstances around you. For example, before you bet, bring only a handful amount of cash and leave your card. If your cash runs out, at least, you are definitely forced to stop since your allocated budget is already exhausted. But assuming that you won, then the best indicator would be to stop if you profited at least once.
234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 04:24:14 PM
I cannot fathom on how a person can swallow this kind of nervousness- relying everything on one (1) bet in the riskiest possible way of a 50/50 chance. I just cannot imagine being in his position given that the result can either way- could either make or break his life from there.

In your opinion, would you guys do what he did? Lucky for him that he won that 50/50 but imagine you are in his position- would you also do that bet?

Personally and as someone who does not gamble as much before, I would never EVER do this kind of bet. I am also a person who always like to be safe. I would rather get a mediocre result than risking that 50/50 in getting the best/worst result in a given match.

BOTTOMLINE:
If you guys have come across this kind of situation in your life, better think about it before pulling the plug and risking that 50/50. Sure, there may be only two (2) possibilities but the risk is so much greater if you lost compared to if you won that kind of bet.
235  Other / Off-topic / Re: specialty or "Jack of all trade? on: March 09, 2024, 06:17:01 PM
What's your view on this? Is it best to be a specialist in a chosen field or tilt to being the jack of all trades?

I think I would choose to be a specialist in only one (1) type of field.

From my educational background, I am a law student who tirelessly studies in order to understand the fundamentals of the law. From what I have observed, in the field of law, if you are one of the top lawyers in your country, then the amount of income that you receive from your clients can basically set you for life. You may demand high retaining fees and other legal fees if you are considered the best under your resume.

Being a jack of all trades is not also that bad considering that there are lots of opportunities nowadays when it comes to applications in the technology space. With innovations being introduced, there are lots of demands to people who specialize in multiple fields.

At the end of the day, it is all about preference. Do you happen to master one field and you are really good at it; or are you open on pursuing different fields for various works?
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 09, 2024, 05:49:07 PM
Drake thought Francis Ngannou would win but Anthony Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round of the match of the heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drake lost $615000.

https://www.thecable.ng/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout/amp?/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout

We all know on how Drake is notoriously famous with these kinds of high roll bets. Well with that amount of money that he earns through his music, businesses and other ventures, I am pretty sure that $615,000 is nothing to him or at least a relatively low amount of money for him.

Despite the situation, I do feel bad that he has lost so much money on several bets that he made on sports. For example:

  • Drake made a bet of $400,000 when he betted that Jake Paul would knock Tommy Fury on their match- he lost that bet;
  • During the world cup final, Drake betted $1,000,000 hoping that Argentina would beat France- he lost that bet again;
  • On the UFC, Drake also betted $275,000 hoping that Masvidal would beat Covington- he again lost that bet;1
..... and so on.

Though that may be the case, there were also some instances were he also won his bets and he almost wagered every game on Stake. It just sucks to lose this amount of money in a short amount of time. Makes you think that people are willing to stake this hundreds to millions of dollars on sports betting.

237  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let fear to lose be motivation to learn on: March 09, 2024, 05:02:03 PM
In every mistake or loss, there is that invaluable learnings from the experience you learned along the way. Fear is definitely one of those motivational factors that pushes the boundary of winning.

There is this quote that I would like to share- it does not have to be perfect but you need to be consistent. This can be applied in what you just said OP. Consistency in your decision makings on the form of your investment could be the key in unlocking the potentials of cryptocurrencies.

On a personal note, there is also that fear that I experience before. I tried investing into the wrong things (USI TECH PONZI) but I learned lots from that experience that made me a better investor now. As I also reported tons of fake ANNs and projects in the past, that fear of my past is what pushed me to further understand the growth behind all these lessons.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready to adopt the BTC program for your company? on: March 09, 2024, 04:25:32 PM
<..snip..>

I would like to know your opinion on the wave of BTC adoption by companies:
Do you think BTC programs will be useful for companies in their efforts to reach users?

I do think that there is a long-term advantage of implementing BTC programs to companies. In effect, it has a similar setup when you ask for a portion of your income to be rewarded as stocks in a given company; the difference is that the stock here would be BTC in the process which can be a long-term investment on your part.

Quote
Are you willing to receive rewards in BTC when using future services?

Yes definitely! As someone who has been active in this forum for seven (7) years, I have personally experienced the wonders of BTC and its long-term advantage via investment. By basing it purely on its price history, you could see its steady growth over the years. This solely would be my basis to consider investing into BTC as a huge opportunity for me and for others should they accept BTC as payment for services.

Quote
If you have your own company, are you willing to accept BTC or launch BTC programs?

If there exist such opportunity, I would definitely accept various BTC programs in order to give importance and notice to everyone.

There is just that massive opportunity whenever a person invests into BTC. With this kind of potential, everyone should be taking advantage of it by investing long-term or by trading it short-term to accumulate profit at the end.
239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does possessing information play an important role in betting ? on: March 09, 2024, 03:11:30 PM
Do you apply  this strategy while gambling?
-How do you benefit from it ?
What strategy? You have said nothing about any gambling strategy. I do not think you even know what you are talking about. There are many strategies that gamblers are using while gambling but what you said is just not giving any useful information about any gambling strategies.

I agree that OP mentioned nothing about this said strategy.

Though this may be the case and for purposes of discussion, let us discuss the effects of employing various strategies in the gambling sphere. There are multiple strategies that most gamblers employ whenever they gamble as each technique is different per game. For example, the strategies employed in poker are different on the strategies that are designated for blackjack or other card games.

These strategies help the player in order to at least have a slight advantage over the game. Effectively, this lowers the risk of the gambler losing and it gives them a relatively competitive edge against the house.

In conclusion, while there may be some general strategies per game, win is still not guaranteed in this process though should be still be used and exercised.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Restricted games on one casino but playable to other one on: March 09, 2024, 02:28:50 PM
If you can access the casino with the same provider albeit under a different platform, generally, you are not restricted totally from playing from their website.

Question, does that casino have an ANN thread in this forum? I heavily recommend that you contact any of their customer service to ask for any clarifications about this said problem. There has to be a reason on why you cannot access such platform despite the provider being the same.

All things considered, I also recommend that you read their ToS carefully to prevent any foreseeable problems in the future. Check all the regulations about VPN and its usage especially if they have specific rules on these.
