1081  Economy / Gambling / Re: Kryptogamers Hive No KYC Casino on: March 30, 2023, 11:54:25 PM

So KYC is only harm and an extra trouble for any person.
This is how I think.
Not all gamblers feel at a loss and get into trouble regarding a KYC.
There are some gamblers who actually don't mind and they easily provide KYC to the casinos they use because they believe the personal data that has been provided will not be misused.
There are also gamblers who don't bother looking for casinos without KYC that are trusted and can be relied upon, so they choose the most popular casinos with KYC to make it easier and faster to use casinos without having to think about it and reset before using the casino.
Maybe you can come to such a conclusion because you yourself don't like KYC and mind if the casino knows personal data because you want to gamble anonymously in a crypto casino.

Well, those people who blindly trust all the gambling sites with their KC data are doing a big mistake. Since their personal data have never been misused before, they do not know the consequences of it. I am not saying that anything bad may happen with them, but since they provide their KYC data to both reputed and non-reputed gambling sites, they are at high risk.

Will there be anyone who can say that his KYC data is not important and he can afford his data to be used in the black market? I guess no one will like this to happen.

I do think there has to be some sort of balance whenever you decide to submit your KYC documents in a given gambling website.

Of course, if a gambling website is relatively new on the market and it had no further advertisements, then think twice before submitting any KYC documents as you are susceptible for identity theft. But if you are gambling in a famous gambling website and it requires you to submit such documents, then feel free to do so due to the security that they have.

Even if a gambling website offers better bonuses and rewards, if their security fails in some point then you would suffer in the long-term with your identity and information being compromised.
1082  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [NEWS] GCrypto is now available to selected users on: March 30, 2023, 11:40:47 PM

Hmm this is interesting- so mga verified accounts ngayon sa GCash ang binebenta? Siguro naging security nga dito is yung simcard registration kasi may kasama na itong KYC function. Though hindi pa rin ito makakalusot if nagkaroon siguro ng another round of KYC, in which coins.ph does annually.

1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin Was the Only Cryptocurrency? on: March 30, 2023, 11:23:46 PM
You don't have time travelling machine so you can not revert time and change what happened in history.

Bitcoin was created and it motivated other developers to create altenative cryptocurrencies to make the cryptocurrency ecosystem bigger. It helps the adoption of this ecosystem gets bigger and at faster rate.

If Bitcoin is only cryptocurrency, this market will be smaller and nobody wants it. Having multiple options is the best we can have in life and the world don't need only US dollar or Bitcoin. It must have other fiat currencies and other cryptocurrencies as well.

I think the reason on why BTC is very successful is due to its competitors on the market. Despite releasing thousands of altcoins with innovative introductions, BTC still remained the dominant cryptocurrency in the market. BTC still emerged as the top cryptocurrency and you can at least say that there was a healthy competition that further boosted its price.

If BTC is the only cryptocurrency, I think it will never reach the same global impact it currently has today. People would somehow force to compare it with fiat and other investment opportunities. Without no competition, it will never attain and reach this kind of level that we have today.
1084  Economy / Economics / Re: Is risky to invest this period on: March 30, 2023, 11:09:21 PM
From the look of things bitcoin price will not come up soon, I guess is better to hold on till when it will show strong signal before putting in money again to escape losses and people who their investment is long over due are already victims of the Price dropping. We should try to be careful this period that bitcoin has not direction. Imagine a friend investment $2000 but what is currently left in his wallet is $400, and the deep is still bearing down the nuds.

Hold on, but if you must buy now be wise to use spare income.

I do think you have to consider investing in a more objective manner- check both the extrinsic and intrinsic factors before you decide whether you should invest in this period or not. Relying purely on instincts without any basis thereof can be risky especially if you have a relatively handful of BTCs at your disposal.

Personally, I would HODL until 2024 or until the next fork happens. Historically, every time a fork happens, the price of BTC in the market skyrockets. This could be an opportunity for me to maximize my BTCs instead of selling them now despite having an increase on its price in the past few weeks.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 30, 2023, 10:57:50 PM
Myself introduced gambling to my girlfriend, and she started to gamble regularly. Bets doesn't go higher than $1 and initially she enjoyed it as she didn't experience loss. Later started to loss, and requests me to recover her loss for her. I used to recover playing with bigger bets and one day lost big. From that day she completely stopped gambling, not even for fun she doesn't gamble. I mention this just to state what is being said in the OP is true, men easily turns addictive. Good for the men is to concentrate on sports betting than casino games.

I do think that one factor on what contributes gambling addiction is the innovation of the technology in the world.

As innovation is slowly introduced, the world is slowly shifting towards a digital age where everything can be accessed online for our convenience. With the pandemic hitting globally, this became an opportunity for online gambling to rise on its popularity to the point that majority have preferred to gamble in this platform.

I do think that the accessibility of gambling with the push of a button in our phones contributed to gambling addiction. Not to mention, even famous streamers are advertising gambling games on their social media accounts which further contributed to this.

Due to this digital age, almost lahat ng information natin ay posted online. With this, napakadali sa mga hackers na kunin ang ating sensitibong impormasyon to their advantage. In addition to this, kapag ito din ang nangyare, pwede silang mang-scam ng mga tao with our own friends/relatives due to the deception na nagagawa nila.
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 29, 2023, 11:57:22 PM
.....
Also share me what you have sold this year to buy some Bitcoin, we will still be here in 2025 and I can't wait to share my incredible success story on the forum, Bitcoin loading, 100% acquired.

What are you doing to get yours? Let's talk

Well, if selling my personal time is considered, then I would say that.

Participating in campaign signatures is the best thing that has ever happened to me ever since I joined this forum. Back in 2017, I was just a normal college student struggling to look for ways to earn additional income with convenience. As someone who also lives in a third-world country, the competition for jobs had never been harder due to lack of any initiatives from our government.

Now with campaign signatures, not only did it contribute in me finishing my degree (I was able to purchase several school materials by selling my BTCs weekly) but it also gave me the opportunity to aim for a higher goal- which is to HODL and sell it by the time I get older.

I agree sa sinabi mo. Siguro malaking factor din dito na demokrasya pa rin ang system ng pag-vote natin where nasa masa talaga ang kapangyarihan kung sino gusto natin i-vote for our public officials. Not to mention, with our rich history of ousting leaders via a revolution of the people (people power 1 and 2), we can say na malaki talaga ang kapangyarihan ng bawat indibidwal sa atin.

Quote

In addition to this, may mga laws kasi tayo that forces our government officials to somehow circumvent transparency to their advantage. Naalala mo yung famous pork barrel dito? Napakalaking scandal ang nangyare dito and binigyan ng sobrang kapangyarihan ang ating senators to have their own funds and create projects to their liking without any possible transparency to the public.

Though ito nga yung case, I think madami nang innovations ang nagawa ang ating government system especially on the scrutiny due to our checks and balances among the executive, legislative and judiciary.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 29, 2023, 11:16:39 PM
From what I read, the major difference between this skill based slot machines and the regular/traditional ones we know is that there is a bonus round for the players to2 display their skills which gives them a greater chance of winning. Despite this, the odds are still stacked up against the player.
Has anyone here tried it out?
Which do you prefer, traditional slots or skill-based slots?

This is very interesting- I have never heard nor encountered a "skill-based slot machine" type of game since it is generally known as a game where it involves pure luck. The problem with slots is that you have no control over the process to which it arrives at a result. You push the lever and hope for the best that it lands on triple 7s, etc.

Now that the world is changing and innovations are being introduced daily, I wonder how they can introduce and integrate skill in a game on which it is based purely on luck. Though if this were to happen, I would still avoid slots due to its very nature and core relying purely and solely on luck rather than skill.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: March 29, 2023, 11:01:56 PM
I really need a clarification on this. Is chasing looses in gambling same as looking for closure because i recently read an article on reddit where the poster said that he will gamble untill he wins just to look for closure. I have been thinking about this for sometime now because closure has the same characteristics with chasing looses which is even when the gambler is loosing he will still be gambling just to recover all his looses.

I actually call this the "gambler's cycle" where a person would gamble again in order to regain his losses.

When a person gambles and regardless of the outcome whether he wins or losses, the initial decision is for him/her to gamble again. He/she would want to gamble again in order to test his luck in the event if he wins. Furthermore, he would also attempt to gamble again if he losses in hopes of recovering the loss he just incurred, thereby creating a situation and an endless cycle where he would consistently gamble in the process.

This kind of cycle is potentially destructive and dangerous especially if you lack the necessary discipline to accept your losses as part of the gambling system. That is why if this happens, the person has to force himself to get out of such position (e.g. limiting the cash he brings, etc.) to break this cycle.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Random Number Generator and it's importance in Online Casinos on: March 28, 2023, 11:49:09 PM
This Random Number Generator (or RNG) is more commonly known as the algorithm. This kind of method is created by the owners in order to arrive at a seemingly random chance in every game that involves luck. For example, in slots, RNG is associated with it due to the nature of the game and this method has been used even outside the gambling industry. In this kind of method, it insures that the gambler has a certain percentage of winning which is outside the control of the company.

Though this may be the case, I think casino edge plays an impact on RNG. The algorithm that is being used and created somehow favours the gambling website though in a small and fixed percentage in order to at least keep the website alive as all online casinos (or casinos) are businesses.
1092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: investment advice? on: March 28, 2023, 11:34:30 PM
I am a new member of bitcoin forum. Investing in Bitcoin can either be profitable or a loss. I will invest in Bitcoin. I don't know where to invest. Should I put it in Trust Wallet or Binance? Hoping for advice from everyone on where it should be placed? There will be no possibility of hacking. please help and advice?

Generally, you should not put any BTCs inside an exchange due to the natural risks involved. Remember that even with the latest security in Binance, it had been hacked several times by scammers in the past. That is why, majority of the people here would recommend investing in a hardware wallet in order for you to store your BTCs inside it.

If you are planning on investing long-term, then a hardware wallet would be the best and safest choice. But I would still recommend putting some of your BTCs in Binance if you plan on circulating and purchasing different cryptocurrencies in the process. With its convenience, you can easily migrate one cryptocurrency to another with their interface.
1093  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph- another "enhanced" KYC documents and process. on: March 28, 2023, 11:18:15 PM

Oh my! Hindi ko pa naman nararanasan to pero sobrang lala pala if ganito yung mangyayare. Like you have to book a schedule para sila kausapin mo? That's just very outrageous- sila may kailangan ng documents tapos ikaw pa dadaan and mag sschedule for this kind of hassle. Grabe, wala talaga ako masabi dito!

Quote

Upon trying yung Binance p2p dahil bumili ako ng eth, talagang mas madali and mas simple dito.
1094  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fellas be careful from this kind of scams! - READ on: March 28, 2023, 11:02:41 PM
Unfortunately all these new people in the space falls the victim for it.
Even if the user is new and he or she is not greedy to get money in very quick way, he or she would not fall for it. But for those who are greedy and planning to get rich quick will fall for it. Though joblessness also make people to fall for this kind of trap. Scammers are always advancing in their method, but those who are smart enough are detect them when they (scammers) brought any way to scam people.

Actually, it is quite obvious that this person is known for scamming.

A beginner account claiming that he won "xxx" number of money from betting and he would advertise a casino with some random links is shady in itself. Though that may be the case, it is still dangerous for the untrained eye as they may fall from this kind of deception.

From my point of view, just stay loyal at your current gambling website. If you have invested money in a certain online casino, then that heavily implies that it will lasts for a long-time due to its proven name on the market.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a casino ever run without the government's awareness? on: March 28, 2023, 10:46:33 PM
Is it possible to run a decentralized gambling platform? I know that all popular gambling platforms have no choice but to be transparent to the law to have a steady business running, but with the introduction of CBDC and yes a registered gambling platform has no choice but to accept CBDC too, and I don't trust this centralized currency, I believe CBDC will have the capability to monitor incoming and outgoing funds, so that is what makes me think if it's possible to run a decentralized gambling platform at all.

This is possible but they are potentially throwing away everything as there is a hanging sword of Damocles on their position.

If they operate illegally without a license, this puts a toll on its identity as a gambling website. Anytime, the government can track down and check their license if they follow all the necessary requisites of operation. In addition, I also doubt that players would invest their time and resources in this kind of online casino given the fact that anytime it could shut down.

If a gambling website plans on operating without a license, then might as well just shut down due to the extreme risks involved in operating this kind of scheme.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 💎 [announce] 🏆 CENSİS WALLET ICO LİVE ! 💖 Listing 2$ ✅ Min; 30$ Buy on: March 28, 2023, 06:31:14 AM
Hi, is it possible if you can provide more pictures of your team under this project? I have noticed that under Censis Team, three (3) photos were posted but you failed to provide for their respective names. In addition, I am 80% sure that at least one or two of these people are AI generated photos due to the overall outlook, layout, imbalances, and disproportion angles they contain.

Check the reference below:

FIRST PICTURE:
The collar of the shirt is not the same- as you can see there is a black line on the right side as opposed to none on the left side. Glasses are a bit off which looks like it was placed unnaturally.

SECOND PICTURE:
Teeth are not proportionate and there are like hair particles on his bonnet.

THIRD PICTURE:
This one somehow looks natural but I still have my doubts since there are hair particles everywhere.

**Take this with a grain of salt but you are required to at least show further pictures and proof of their identity. Failure to provide otherwise will compel me to create a scam accusation against this project as this constitute prima facie evidence of false advertising.

If anyone could also check the veracity and identity of these pictures, please do so.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about this? on: March 27, 2023, 11:48:10 PM
In fact, regardless of whether it's a religious leader or an ordinary citizen, people who have a lot of time or not as long as it's clear that gambling is possible can still happen. it's just that the difference in this case is when religious leaders who should know it is forbidden and they are saints actually they don't do that. But when talking about emotions and greed, of course they are also just ordinary humans who definitely have a desire for these things, so even though this is not very ethical, it is still possible for this to happen and that is probably one of the many who do this.
The point is that religious leaders are human too. Like others they also need money and want to do whatever they want but financial constraints do not allow them to realize those dreams. Because they are in a respected position in the society, they may not expose their gambling activities to the front. But they also have greed and emotion that we cannot ignore. No one has anything to say if someone is gambling secretly.

Similarly, any celebrity should be very careful on what they do as their image can quickly spread in social media. This means that people somehow idolize these celebrities to the point that they become role models for other people as well. Same with pastors, lots of religious people look up to them and view them as image on where the people should follow.

If you hear a pastor that gambles on a frequent basis, it somehow destroys the image on how he shaped himself. It also destroys the very purpose on why he devoted his entire life for this kind of service since people would more or less avoid following him.
1098  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistakes small or big that will cause us a lot in the future on: March 24, 2023, 11:58:31 PM
In short don't store anything in any device where it's used to connect internet and try to be different on one site to another.

Another thing to reduce online attack are:
  • Don't click random link
  • Install adblocker and always check the domain name to prevent from phishing attack
  • Avoid any altcoins e.g. airdrop, bounty, because it might compromised your privacy and security.

Just to add with the list you provided, it really pays if you have a personality which doubts everything in this space. With scams being very prominent, the mindset of being doubtful to every link that you can access is desirable- much in a way that this tends to avoid being scammed in the first place.

If you see an advertisement that is too good to be true (e.g. offering absurdly high interest rates with a payout that is relatively fast, etc.), then doubt it as soon as possible. This gives you a security and a mindset to be careful with everything that you access in this space.

In the cryptocurrency world which exists in the internet, scams are everywhere. Hacking tools can easily be downloaded and transferred and that is why everyone must be vigilant and responsible for their money.
1099  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: March 24, 2023, 11:47:23 PM
A few days ago we met on a family reunion occasion and he did not really talk to me and I suddenly realized that it was because I didn't lend him money last year. I think about it twice and if he had not been that untrustworthy, I would have definitely lent him the money. Anyway, I hope he is doing fine now and best wishes to him.

It is never your obligation to lend money to your relatives as they have the duty to save for emergency purposes. If your cousin did not speak to you during your family reunion, then it just really speaks about his character. The fact that you know that he is not trustworthy solidifies the reason on why you should never lend any money to him/her. He/she has the responsibility of saving funds for emergency purposes like this one.

If that is the case, then cut your ties with him/her as he would probably drag you down in his problems. What is the purpose of keeping such bond if it is corrupted and rotten at its core already? At this day and age, self-preservation is the key, except if you have family to provide for.
1100  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Sarado na ang Chipmixer! on: March 24, 2023, 11:32:22 PM
I actually did not expect this- imagine the best paying campaign signature (probably also the longest) ay nag close na sa forum.

Probably majority of the campaigners doon ay millionaires by now due to the number of BTCs they have earned during the whole course of their stay.
