2221  Economy / Economics / Re: How to protect from inflation? on: October 07, 2021, 09:00:25 PM
Passive income is the path to getting rich, there is no denying that. All the rich people get richer by not working however their stocks going up. Look at Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, warren buffet, bill gates. These are richest people in the world and they do not get richer by working, they get richer by their stock prices going up.

It doesn't mean that you should own stocks, but you should do something that is similar in logic, stocks work too but not the only one. This is why we are in crypto, if you have 100 bucks when you go to sleep but wake up with 110 dollars when you wake up, that is how you beat inflation. Just find a way to make money while not working and you can become rich as well. Or you can lose it all too, just be careful.
2222  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandora Papers - Massive journalism work on tax avoidance and evasion on: October 06, 2021, 09:30:59 PM
OH MY GOD, RICH AND POWERFUL PEOPLE AVOID TAXES!! HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!!  All jokes aside, did we had any doubt in our mind that these people were avoiding taxes? In my nation there is a trick called "show everything as expense", you could literally go out to eat alone just because you wanted to, get the receipt and use that as business expense, has nothing to do with your business but you can do it.

This is what a small time place does, no grocery store pays taxes as much as they should they avoid it by showing future expenses they did not even paid for yet, just from their upcoming expenses that they agreed on a contract, these come to billions when you calculate every single grocery store.

If all these small timers can do this, do you really believed that rich and powerful would pay full taxes? If they did, the world would not have been in such a financial chaos, we could have afford every single political problems and pay for people's healthcare and educate for free all around the world, feed the starving, pay for underdeveloped places and much more, but not only rich people but even poor people try to avoid taxes, so it is totally expected, this news wasn't a shock to anyone.

I do not get why people here trying to make bitcoin look like a bad idea when in fact it is a lot better than what you might imagine. We are in bitcointalk, if NK dictator comes up and says that Bitcoin should be world currency, I would agree with him on that, not meaning that I would find him a dear leader or find him any good, just because he is a piece of shit doesn't mean that I need to bash bitcoin if he says it is good, that just doesn't make sense, a bad person could agree with me, that doesn't make me bad as well (well not in this situation at least).

Bitcoin could be acquired in all sorts of ways, if mining is not great for now, maybe it will be a lot more profitable later on, wait for those machines to be profitable and in the long run it will provide a lot more profit. Or just don't mine and buy, even that is enough to make a great profit, price of bitcoin rises, so we have no idea if every 269 dollars in bitcoin worths how much since it will go up in price.

2225  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 vaccination becoming a criteria to live in the world on: September 16, 2021, 08:04:30 PM
I also feel bad about this imagine in almost every establishments and businesses and even government center? they are requiring a Vaccine card before allowing to enter or transacting? this is unfair because not everyone is willing to partake in that vaccination process and also don't want that vaccine inside their body so what is this all about?
it is against their will so why treating like this, they must treat people freely and let them have what they want as long as there is a protocol inside the building.
there is a campaign here now about disregarding these rules and it is getting more and more sympathy and sooner will win i guess.
The fact that people still imagine a vaccine to save the world is "against free will" is beyond my understanding. Let's assume that vaccination is something that you should have an option of opting out, just for a second let's say that we said "alright you can die if you want to, it is your choice to die" because that is literally what we are saying to those who do not get the vaccination, they may die at a much higher rate so it is suicide of sorts not to get it.

However even with that, you are not just hurting yourself, low vaccination rate means filled hospitals, filled hospitals means more lockdowns, more lockdowns means less freedom for me, plus no-vaxx people getting it constantly and without having a trouble (you do not have to be hospitalized if you get it) they cause new mutations and variants which makes my vaccination less worthy.

So, you not getting the vaccination hurts me, hell I could be in a bike accident and ER near me could be filled with people like you and I might die because I was taken to a longer and far away hospital. Getting vaccinated is not just about you, it is about everyone around you, it always hurts other, not just you, but everyone else, so get it, I do not care if they have to get a warrant for you and catch you with cops and put you in a chair and lock you up and forcefully vaccinate you, EVERYONE should get it so that we do not die collectively.
2226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do we see 5k Eth price by end of the month on: September 16, 2021, 06:22:49 PM
in the next 15 days September will end and what we see is nothing changing look at this

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/

ethereum cannot even step at 4,000 again so where is the chance of this makes it again to climb and break ATH?

I have given up in ethereum this year instead i transfer all to Bitcoin because I'm tired of waiting in that 2.0 version to release yet nothing comes.
Everything had a drop, they are recovering these days and it is looking good. I wouldn't lose hope on ethereum this quickly, it is still doing fine. It is getting closer to 4k as well if you check the price and that means 5k is not a pipe dream neither. Do not consider "breaking the ATH" is similar in ETH as it is in btc or some other coins, it is already quite close to ATH as it is, and a bit of a decent run would mean it would be over ATH very easily, not saying 5k, just saying ATH which is lower.

This is why I highly suggest that you should not give up this quickly, just because all of crypto had a fall doesn't mean that it will keep on falling and it is already recovering. This is the proof that we are doing fine and I hope that it will keep on making more profit in the near future as well. Would it be 5k this month? I am not sure, but it surely does look like it is doing fine so far in the past few days, if it keeps this up then it is totally possible.

No vault or self-exclusion, that's one of the main factors users that can't withdraw their funds lose most or all of them.

Been there, done that.
I understand the vault part, because many people want to lock their money away to keep them from gambling until it is withdrawn, that makes sense. However I never understood the pressure casinos get about self-exclusion, why is that? I mean if you want to not gamble and want to keep yourself away from it, then requesting the casino to not earn any money from you makes zero sense. Do you go to apple, or Tesla, or Amazon and say that you want to be excluded? You do not, they wouldn't care about you.

If you want bad stuff examples, then does any cigarette companies decline to sell to you? They would be willing to sell it to a cancer patient let alone a regular person, hell they sell it to kids! How about obese people who can't get any fast food, have you seen anything like that? Self-exclusion is something people force to casinos and no casino should be held accountable for not having it.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: September 16, 2021, 04:11:42 PM
After this game, I think Pochettino will try to figure out the best combination of players. I don't know if we should see Mbappe, Neymar and Messi at the same time from the beginning. It might look better to not start with them and play with Icardi or Di Maria then switch tactics and players to confuse the opponent.
BTW AFAIK PSG is the most favourite team to get CL title this season according to bookies. I doubt Real Madrid could get it, Chelsea, City and ManU are way better, even PSG is better regardless of this bad result.
I do not think that it was the combination of players that was the problem, it was just the team getting used to it. Have we ever seen Mbappe-Neymar-Messi before this game? I do not think that we have seen them before and this was the first time. So, let's not rush into changing the roster constantly in order to get the team playing better, we could just let the roster be exactly like it is and we would have a better team gradually when they get used to playing with each other.

Neymar and Messi played before so they shouldn't be too difficult but Mbappe is not used to Messi and that will take some time but it will eventually happen. I am just still so shocked that they are using Navas at goalkeeping position, just doesn't make sense at all.
2229  Economy / Economics / Re: @Deloitte: "The fiat currency will be gone in 5 to 10 years". on: September 15, 2021, 08:46:09 PM
I don't think fiat money will be gone in the future. 5 to 10 years is still a short period of time to be fully transitioned to digital money and digital wallet all in all. It would be hard most especially for the poor and developing countries to adapt and adjust to such changes. In addition, I don't think that the government and the central organizations would allow such a thing to happen given that the fiat currency is what runs the economy of a country. If everything will be digitalized, many people will have a difficult time such as the older generations, indigenous people, and the lower class. Because not everyone is privileged enough to have smartphones, Internet connection, and knowledge about the technology.

What I think is the most probable situation that could happen in the next 5 to 10 years is that digital assets and physical fiat will coexist as mediums of exchange. People will have more options and alternative for paying for their transactions may it be online or face to face scenarios. Hopefully, improvements on transacting with either mediums will be smooth and hassle free, giving the convenience and security to both buyer and merchants.
Obviously fiat money will not be gone. However believe me when I say this, when there is a fall it will not be slow and painful, it will be very quick. Because at the end of the day, bitcoin is a much better version of money than fiat we know all of that, what is fiat really?

It is just showing a paper that proves that you do have that much money, normally that was a gold thing, you deposited gold to a bank and they gave you a piece of paper that showed that you owned that much gold, that turned into the fiat you hold in your hands these days, or digitally in your bank account. It really sucks, and when people start to realize this, and everyone starts to move to crypto, the crash of fiat will not be slow at all, it will literally crash.
2230  Economy / Economics / Re: Boost of a countries economy on: September 15, 2021, 06:21:49 PM
The thing is, there will most prolly not be a good relationship between Bitcoin and governments, and that's basically just cause Bitcoin is decentralized and governments like to work with only centralized services that they can control either completely or to a certain extent, it's quite clear to governments of today that it's impossible for them to get a foothold on Bitcoin, thus they will rather sanction/ban/regulate it than adopt it.

Having said that, as far as a country's economy is concerned, I think there are very few ways Bitcoin can be of help, Bitcoin is money and you'll most likely need to have money in fiat to get Bitcoin or offer one service or the other to get it, it is not distributed for free, and even if many citizens of a country hold Bitcoin, I don't see how it can positively affect the economy. It's the duty of the government to provide what is necessary in order to improve their economic situation, if the government does such, then Bitcoin can only be an addition.
I do not agree with that at all. First of all you are probably talking about big nations, because "bitcoin and governments do not have a good relation" is destroyed by the fact that El Salvador literally made it a legal tender. Secondly in USA we have coinbase both being super legal and nobody says anything about it AND it got to be in the stock market as well, nobody will let an illegal company be there so it is totally legit.

In many other nations' exchanges are there and nobody says anything about it. Do you really think that exchanges are alright but coin itself is not? What is the point of the exchange if the coins are not alright? So, it is obvious that there is a good chance we are talking about something that is fine by governments. I think there are few, North Korea, china and the likes may not like it that is understandable but that's about it.
2231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 15, 2021, 03:35:49 PM
Well, I think that these kinds of highlight play and drama keep the hype alive. For example, if I see the same dull and dull gameplay everyday, I'd get bored to be honest. And I mainly blame Max for the clash over Hamilton. Hamilton was getting out of the pit and Max was coming straight to him. On the next corner, they were alongside each other and Max braked late which led him crashing with Hamilton Lewis. If he had braked earlier, this would have never happened. Pretty unfortunate for him as he got a penalty of 3 grid and maybe a penalty of 2 points.
I agree, whenever my favorite driver is in a crash that adds a lot more fun to it. I like Lando Norris the most, but I rather see Mazepin to see Lewis keep winning, it becomes so boring, when he first won I was very happy and for a while longer as well but for the past 2-3 seasons it is like "yeah Lewis won, what is new?" and made it boring honestly. Same with Bundesliga Bayern, same with Serie A Juventus until last year, or PSG with Ligue 1 until last season.

I do not have anything else against Lewis, if he changes teams, goes to another team and wins again? Wow that would be so freaking awesome, I would love to watch that as well. It is just that Mercedes and Lewis keeps winning all the time and this makes it boring, it should be race, not "let's see who becomes second". So, whenever Max attacks and wins, that makes it more interesting, quite honestly I do not like Max personally neither, dude looks too aggressive and snob but at least it is definitely see a competition then just a hopeless track.
2232  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 14, 2021, 09:54:43 PM
Those stats are as expected. Ronaldo's move in my opinion, was the bigger move compared to that of Messi and one interesting fact is that Cr7 moved to a team where he already had plenty of fans that have been following him fir years even when he was at Madrid or Juve, there were man utd fans that "fully" supported him.  Back at Man Utd, it's just like an homecoming king. Always knew it'd be like this.
I didn't know that jersey sales were this big in football. I mean I knew that there are jersey sales and that is definitely some sort of income for the teams, especially when it is combined as merch sales (scarfs and flags and hats and other stuff etc, ALL shop sales) it becomes big. However, I didn't know it was huge like this, like 181 million pounds from ONE player? That sounds like a huge deal to me honestly.

I always wondered why players like Ronaldo still get a lot more money than any other player, after all he is getting older so I assumed he would be getting less and less but apparently it is not always about just how he plays, it is also about how much he makes for the team as well, if he was given 50 million per year for 3 years then the team would still be in profit, considering more sales coming in even 4 years would eventually be profit.

Are those the shitcoin in your pocket now? why not Add your signature banner, still not paying ?  Grin

Solid project is indeed the best to invest , but the thing in our market now is how can we really tell it is a good project?
when everyone tries to pretend they are one but in the end it is also a scam.
we are tired of this Shit so best not to include a name instead let them search to decide.
Well, the thing about the current situation is there are also good ones that try to be good and high and loved by everyone but they fail so they turn to look like a scam even when they are not. We always had scams, we will always have scams that is never going to end but the amount of good intended horrible coins are increasing in a rapid way because it is so easy to build a new project with DEFI world right now.

NFT requires a bit more coding and specially design but at the same time it is obviously a lot better to actually have something nice. I personally feel like it is definitely going to be a lot more failed projects as long as creating a new project is a very easy thing.
2234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Not all altcoins will recover on: September 14, 2021, 06:18:25 PM
Not all altcoins will recover because currencies generally continue to rise based on their demand if the demand in the market decreases, then the certainty of these altcoins rising above them is much less likely to fall. But ethereum and BNB have market demand for these currencies but prices have risen over time this is why they survive in the market.
It's true that coin movement is still based on supply and demand,
when supply is limited and demand is increasing, of course the price of coins will go up,
it all also depends on the coin because not all altcoins will experience that and talking about Ethereum and BNB I don't think we need to doubt it after all it is the top altcoin
There are coins that create their own demand and that is the popular thing these days. If you really want to do something than you have to actually do it properly and not do it half.

There are so many coins and tokens that provide a reason to buy them, and those coins go up. Utility is the most important aspect of any coin right now, like the whole axie infinity thing is the game, without the game nobody would want to by any axies at all, why would they want any axie?

Well, people end up buying ape NFT for millions or cryptopunks so maybe there would have been a reason but I doubt that it would be as big as it is right now. Meaning that there are very good places with very good utility that end up being high priced. Aside from that I do not think that anything will go and become very big, all those useless small ones that have no utility may end up being zero.
2235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 14, 2021, 11:03:28 AM
teams have settled down and be ready for the upcoming season. And Ben trade rumour could still be just heating up. I'm still speculating that Ben will be traded though before the start of full season.

In any case, if someone is interested on the outright NBA champions here are the odds from sportsbet:

It is quite wide open to win a big odd championship with these. Considering the odds are high for all the other teams, I would say throwing in equal pays to Bucks, Warriors, Clippers, Nuggets all could be a great deal. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that Lakers or Nets will not be champions, it is obvious that one of them will likely be the champions but if we have an injured player in those teams then anything could happen.

We are considering these two to win the league because they are healthy and good on paper, but Lakers didn't suck last season neither, they were a good team yet they got injured and had a horrible ending to the season. Which is why I believe that we should definitely see that potential from both teams again and maybe throw in some small amount to other teams as well.
2236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 13, 2021, 06:50:22 PM
Did anyone watch it? I reckon Anderson Silva was very fortunate he connected a lucky punch on the head of Tito Ortiz. Ortiz was beginning his attack with strong punches and very fast hand speed with similar head movement like Mike Tyson’s peekaboo strategy.
That's not a lucky punch and fortunate.

It was perfectly timed. It was already anticipated that an opening will happen soon although the question is when. Silva managed to take that opportunity and wasted no time to react, like a usual fighter's instinct. I'm expecting the fight to be a decision but ended up early.

The unfortunate one is we didn't see the action of Oscar Dela Hoya because of Covid-19.
You could punch a person a million times and not knock them out, or you could punch just once and knock them out cold, or hell if wrongly punched in other circumstances even maybe kill them, many people died from getting punched before. So, boxing is a very risky but also lucky sport, you are putting your life into danger by going out all the time, but since these are professional fighters they know what is what and glove severely drops the death rate by a million.

Yet in no way or shape, just because there was an opening and Silva managed to hit a counter punch, doesn't mean that it would become a knock out punch each time, replicate that a thousand times and maybe 10-20% of that becomes a KO, normally boxers get punched like that all the time and move like nothing happened. So that punch was definitely a bit lucky, of course it was calculated punch that is 100% expected to connect, but it could have just hurt and move on, that KO impact of it was the lucky part.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: September 12, 2021, 09:32:51 PM
Honestly, I am still not warmed up to the idea of these sprints. FIA is trying to do something that would put a lot more entertainment, after all this is just a race and if no drama happens then it will get boring very quickly. Look at Monaco, how many people actually loves Monaco when there is absolutely no passing or anything, of course there could be some situations where cars crash, or pit makes a mistake and all that but aside from that it is boring, people usually finish where they start.

All those boring stuff, all those "either Max or Hamilton will win, rarely anyone else" situations ended up with a lot of problems for viewership numbers, so FIA tries to find something fresh to give more stuff to viewers. However is it really the sprint that we should be looking for? I mean is it really the sprint that makes the difference? I have to say this is definitely not the thing that makes me watch the race at all, it is the pit strategies that is the most entertaining part aside from what happens on the track.
2238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: September 12, 2021, 08:32:20 PM
I don't think Elon musks not tweeting about Dogecoins and Bitcoin has made people lost interest in cryptocurrencies these days, and even the mining issues from china is actually going to turn out to be more positive than negative IMO because we understand what was happening when most of the miners were located in china. As for crypto Hype, I believe that crypto is still very much in play, people will always think this when the market is in a down trend.
That's there are also a lot of people who don't follow Elon Musk and Elon Musk will not dictate the future of cryptocurrency, only beginners will believe Elon Musk, the hype wont get over in the world of crypto, we are always trending in Twitter and it only means that there are really a lot of people who is in crypto world and we are still new, there are still a huge possibility of a mass adaption in the near future. What more will happen if we will be known of all the people in this world.
Unfortunately even though there are many people that do not follow Elon Musk, there are also a lot that do. I do not follow him, I hear about his tweets around here, like all those doge increases didn't make any sense to me at all when I saw it first, then I checked bitcointalk for a few days and eventually people started to open topics about him, which is where I heard it from.

There are a lot of people like me, a lot of people who do not even use twitter, and that is true, however doge still went up way more than we imagined right? It was less than a cent a year ago, look where it is right now, and even the peak price back few months ago. So, even though there are people like me, prices still go up because of people like Elon, only because there are also people unlike me who check Elon all the time. Which is why we can't say that he doesn't matter.
2239  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 11, 2021, 09:50:45 PM
Marco Asensio is actually a very decent player but Real Madrid have many alternatives for the right wing like Rodrygo, Gareth Bale and Lucas Vasquez. Asensio can play as a left winger also but they have Eden Hazard and Vinicius Junior there for him to compete with.
Bale, Hazard, and Vázquez deserve to put on the transfer list, they are no longer young and cannot show the best performance. I think Real Madrid may consider selling these players in the next transfer window if there is no improvement in their performance. So, Asensio is better to stay in Real Madrid because they probably give more chances for Asensio to play in the next season. To remember that Asensio's position is a right-winger (the same as Bale, Vázquez, and Rodrygo). While Hazard and Vinícius play as Left Wingers. Basically, he doesn't compete in the position to play with Hazard and Vinícius.
I believe all those "excess" players will be sold next year when they get Mbappe. That way they will create a lot of salary cap, and get another star with Mbappe. Think about how much they are paying for those players all combined, hell I would put even Benzema there because when you get Mbappe you can get rid of Benzema. When all of those players salaries combined it comes out to a super star level players salary easily, even more than that. Which is why I believe that they should not be selling those players now, do it next off-season and they could get another superstar with the money they save from that. Obviously it will be hard to find a team for all of them, it is cleaning the house and takes time but they could do that.
2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: September 11, 2021, 09:23:47 PM
Well, with UCL coming up, and the "will not play" are just "coaches decision" and not an injury for neymar and messi and di maria, that looks like they will be ready for the next week. It is still not nice to not be able to watch them at full squad. I want to see donnaruma at goal, ramos at center, wijnaldum at midfield and the famous messi-mbappe-neymar trio at the front. We haven't had that game yet, but I am 100% sure that we will have that team eventually. When that happens, and it becomes the norm because just 20 minutes with someone subbed in is not enough and they need few games to get used to each other, then it will be a blast.

You may like PSG or you may dislike them but you can't deny that the team is definitely one of the best with how those players lined up. With the team coming together into something like this, they will be unstoppable even at UCL if you ask me.
