I got a shipping notice and the UPS tracking code for my ten pieces S9 (Nov. 21-30 delivery). But the power supplies are unshipped at the moment. I hope they are shipping them soon as well, so that the possible delay won't cause me much trouble.

I updated the review post (the opening post) with the disassembly session and pictures I did back in November 20.

What is ASIC?
An application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) /ˈeɪsɪk/, is an integrated circuit (IC) customized for a particular use, rather than intended for general-purpose use. For example, a chip designed to run in a digital voice recorder or a high-efficiency Bitcoin miner is an ASIC. Application-specific standard products (ASSPs) are intermediate between ASICs and industry standard integrated circuits like the 7400 series or the 4000 series. Thanks for copying and pasting the same information Wikipedia has. Useless post IMO.

I didn't get any e-mail from Innosilicon, but I suddenly now got a sms message from DHL saying that my delivery is scheduled to arrive to me in December 4.
The sms message included the tracking code so that I can follow it.
The tracking shows it has left China and is around Hong Kong at the moment.

Interesting.... I have a gimpy R4 with 1 un-responsive board. Not sure if I ever swapped the controller ports to see if it is blown controller I/O or really a dead card. Will have to try that first.
If the 'dead' board shows up, well I just so happen to have a spare s9 control board from one relegated to being for spares. Some time I really should send the 3 dead hash boards (from different miners) off to MyRig in Colorado for repair/replacement...
Never heard of this 'MyRig in Colorado for repair/replacement'. Do you know if they also repair controller cards? Is this https://bitmainwarranty.com/ the company you are referring to? Thanks Yes. BitmainWarranty. I guess they never went 100% through with changing their brand name to the "MyRig".

Great to hear! Some more Th/s power to Kano pool, I presume?

You need to be honest and pay the French value-additional tax, a.k.a. VAT. There is no other legal way. All other methods are illegal in a way or another. For you or the seller (Bitmain), depending on the way. The hard taxation is the painful price we European miners pay..

No offence, but this is just another example of failing these steps: -first read properly what you are getting into -then buy the equipment -then do it properly
This is Antminer S9.
You can't mine the freaking Dash with it.
Only Bitcoin and other sha-256 cryptos.

I would suggest you have a wireless bridge adapter.
To connect an ethernet port device to wi-fi by using that adapter.
You can buy one ready or configure a regular router (wi-fi and lan ports) by installing DD-WRT firmware to it and set it in the wireless client bridge mode.
Or another option is to have a new 4G router with lan ports.

My most recent problem with a R4 was solved by swapping the controller port so that I used the one that was originally unused (three ports in the controller). This is a good thread testing it in practice what I have also guessed, there are from little to no differences between R4, S9 and T9 controller boards.

I am serious, since I have now heard few stories about December batch miners shipping.
They are not respecting the different shipping time batches..
I'm now wondering if the 2nd Nov 21-30 batch was typo on their part and should have been a Dec. 21-30 batch. I ordered from both the Dec. 1st and the Nov. 21st the second time it was offered. Seemed a little weird, but I just figured they had some nonpaying orders. I sent them a message via the support ticket system to ask about this whole case.

I've been lurking around these here at the forum for some time, but this is now the moment when I finally actually have one. This is also my first time mining with the BM1384 chips, since I never owned a S5.

What a great little stick this is! I finally bought one unit from Eyeboot. It is a 'seconds' unit, so it might not be able to run at all frequency settings, but I'm ok with running it at low frequency setting 100Mhz in the computer USB 3.0 port. so it fits my needs nicely. It is really easy to setup this with zadig winusb driver and pre-compiled cgminer archive by vh. Thank you! I pointed the 10-11Gh/s hash rate to solo.ckpool to see if I get lucky. Very sturdy design and I like the blinky LED lights. I already bought a second one, since I'm planning to give one as a christmas present and keep one myself. Eyeboot has a good deal still valid in this Cyber Monday. Sorry if this post is kind of off topic. Click for a bigger picture.

My R4 stopped working today. Currently if I power it on, I will see its Ethernet LED in solid yellow with blinking green. Miner does not appear on router table. Has anyone encountered similar experience with R4 or other Antminer models?
Thanks.
I had exactly the same problem and the IP report button reset method helped me to fix it. See this older post by me: Well, this is an interesting find and I thought I'll share it with you. I had a problem booting my Antminer R4 8.0 Th/s, batch 2, autotune-model. So I went looking in here: Bitmain.com: Three Ways to Restore Factory Settings (R4/S9/T9) https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957I used the last option in the list, IP Reporter button restore. Usage: Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner. Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings. My miner restored with firmware Aug. 9 2016 and autotune settings were gone. I am now suddenly able to control frequency and custom fan settings. This was not my original problem, but I'm happy with it. My original problem was that the miner jammed somehow in the booting process and didn't even show up in my router ip list.

I see references to both S3 and S5, do the kits also work on an S3? I actually have a few of those!
Read my review for more information.
