3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Byuing Baikal miners on Alibaba? on: March 12, 2017, 10:48:09 PM
Send e-mail to guys at Baikal and ask about their stock / next batch.  Smiley

I agree with the fact that is doesn't make sense to pay extra buying from alibaba or ebay.

Have you tried deleting cookies and maybe a different web browser (for a test) ?
3143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining X11 with ASICS? on: March 12, 2017, 09:56:07 PM
Those are just some rumours without technical understanding.
Antminer S5 is only able to handle SHA-256 hash.
So it is only able to mine Bitcoin, Peercoin, etc.

And take my miners for more example.
AvalonMiner 721: SHA-256
Antminer R4: SHA-256
Antminer S9: SHA-256
Antminer S7: SHA-256
Baikal Mini Miner: X11, X13, X14, X15, Quark and Qubit

...  Are all of your miners showing up?
Yes.
3145  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [150+ PH] SlushPool (slushpool.com); World's First Mining Pool on: March 12, 2017, 09:39:53 PM
I'm beginning to wonder if something more than the web site is broken. My miners are still not showing.

But there is over 200+PH on the pool (or so it says) and the pool hasn't found a block for almost 11 hours.  Huh  Huh

EDIT: Finally a block.
My GUI is showing ok.

And yeah, block seven minutes ago  Smiley https://blockchain.info/block/00000000000000000016c6ec24d3c86b9a4688f52f4d6a39151220a16e67fbd6
3146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining X11 with ASICS? on: March 12, 2017, 08:59:10 PM
Devices you are talking about don't support X11 algo.
For example Antminer S5 is only for Bitcoin or other SHA-256 cryptocurrencies.

Baikal and PinIdea are manufacturing miners for X11 algo.

You don't describe your problem so specifically but read this first: https://enshop.bitmain.com/files/download/AntMiner%20S9%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

This is also useful info http://www.dogiecoin.com/bitmain-antminer-s9.html
3150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer L3 - 250mh - 400watt Scrypt miner coming soon on: March 12, 2017, 02:41:37 PM
Guys, I'm powering my L3 with PC PSU, because I sleep relatively close to the miner,
and Bitmain PSU is too loud for that, so I'm selling my PSU, it's been in use for barely 24 hours,
so brand new.

If anyone is interested, please PM me.

thanks!
You could have better results selling it at the computer hardware section of this forum.

3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone want to do a Baikal Groupbuy? on: March 12, 2017, 02:36:47 PM
Why buy a Giant over a Qualdruple?

Giant = 900MHs = $1200 = $1.33 Cost per MHs

Quad = 600MHs = $2400 = $4.00 Cost per MHs

Why not buy 2 Quadruples for $2400 and have 1200MHs?

Actually it is:
Giant = 900 Mh/s = $2380 = $2.644 per Mh/s

Quad = 600 Mh/s = $1200 = $2.0 per Mh/s

With current prices it indeed makes more sense to buy the Quad miner.

Mini miner: http://www.baikalminer.com/ShowProducts.asp?id=466
Quad: http://www.baikalminer.com/ShowProducts.asp?id=467

3152  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [∞ YH] solo.ckpool.org 1% fee solo mining USA/DE servers 228 blocks solved! on: March 12, 2017, 09:58:30 AM
So I recently set up my new Antminer S5 to start solo mining here. I don't have this connected to my PC as it's at my shop. My question is how do I know if it's found a block so   I know not to unplug it or something... I've been mining for only a couple weeks at Slushpool so I'm still learning lol.

1. You will notice the additional 12.5 +. BTC on your wallet.
2. Check the FoundBlocks at the miner status page.
3153  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: S9 Board Repair in Colorado? on: March 11, 2017, 09:22:27 PM
Ask them.  Smiley
I had one S9 non-autotune 550Mhz hash board repaired at Colorado and it cost me 175 USD plus shipping.
3154  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer s9 13.5th/s low hash need some help for this noob on: March 11, 2017, 10:39:27 AM
Can you see one hash board with zero hash rate in the miner status page? It is possible that you have a faulty board and need a warranty repair. If your S9 is bought after October 1, 2016 you need to ship the whole unit to Bitmain for repair. Miners after October 1, 2016 have a 180day warranty.

AvalonMiner controller is actually Raspberry Pi 3 inside their custom case.

Check these links out, you can burn the firmware image to the SD card by yourself if you have a SD card reader to use.
Just follow these instructions available at https://canaan.io/question/how-do-i-connect-an-avalonminer-721-and-avalonminer-controller-including-raspberry-pi-1-2-and-3/.

3157  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Announces the Antminer R4 and APW5 Power Supply, Designed for Silence on: March 09, 2017, 08:10:48 PM
They shipped my repaired 8.7Th/s unit back with newer firmware version December 9.
Temps are better (lower) than before.

December 2 firmware version is the newest one available at Bitmain.com at the moment.
I asked about download link for the December 9 firmware to update my other 8.7Th/s unit which has high-ish temps, but they said they are still testing it.  Roll Eyes
They said that it will be available at the support page when it's ready.
3158  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can i use Antminer S7 PSU for Antminer T9 on: March 08, 2017, 11:48:38 AM
Well then you can go and use it.
3159  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can i use Antminer S7 PSU for Antminer T9 on: March 08, 2017, 07:44:36 AM
I have no opinion if that PSU is reliable or not.
If it is able to provide output power as advertised and has 10x PCI-E power connectors (at least 18AWG wire, preferably 16AWG wire) , then you can use it.
3160  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Can i use Antminer S7 PSU for Antminer T9 on: March 08, 2017, 07:07:44 AM
I have no knowledge about that PSU and you have not given any real info about the power supply, so sorry, I can't help you out.
It is best to use a reliable server power supply or Bitmain's power supply or reliable ATX power supply (EVGA for example).
