2342  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake Wagered $1.3 million in super bowl bet using bitcoin on: February 20, 2022, 10:03:48 PM
Overall , it was a great promo for both BTC , Super Bowl and even bookies as well and a bad one of gamblers haha.
This.
Exactly! There's also the ad that came from Coinbase, just a QR and everything has went well. So for Drake's win in this bet during the super bowl.
It's up for everyone to believe whether it's for real as he's a rich guy and capable of betting such amount or it's just part of any promo and marketing which he's part of.

No one knows if that money do came out from his own pocket or been owned by Stake just for promotional purposes and this isnt only limiting out on Stake alone
but almost in all companies do make out such marketing which is somewhat aggressive and as long you do have the funds for such marketing then it doesnt
matter because thats how business works and whether we do like it or not then they have done on things which should be done on a business.
Whether that's it or not, we can all agree that he's capable of it despite with or without the marketing thing from stake. That's the reality as he's a big man that has a lot of money to gamble at any amount that he wishes.
And also we can agree that what Drake has down has been trending and made a noise so it's a very effective thing from him. He's got a lot of reach and maybe some casinos will look at it and may inquire to him if they want to advertise through him.

I am more on the idea that Drake posted this as spur-of-the-moment thing.
Not asking or anything on that regard to promote the casino involved.
But with the publicity that stake got from Drake. Who knows, stake is already thinking of getting Drake as part of their celebrity endorsers?
For his followers, they should definitely think if they can follow his lifestyle because not many can bet such amount without the possibility of losing it all.
2343  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 20, 2022, 09:04:45 PM
Since, it is "freebitco.in" people sometimes think about this place as a way to make free bitcoin. I mean I do understand the logic, at first, I considered it that way as well, I didn't see this as a casino at all. For me this place was a place to get free bitcoins (satoshis) and as a side thing they also had a casino implemented as well, not a casino by heart but a faucet by heart at first. Then I realized that wouldn't work as a business, you guys would have been bankrupt long time ago if that was the case.

This is why now I do understand why you do certain things but that is of course because I understand the point of view right now, some people may still not understand it.
I'm an enthusiast of this site because besides keeping legit along so many years, they are unique. It's the only site as far as I know that offers 3 main features to supply 3 different kinds of customers: gamblers, investors and faucet users. And you aren't forced to use one feature to have access to another. You can just use it in the way you want. That is great!

And even among faucets freebitco.in is the best so far, because they still pay rewards in satoshis and not in "coins" like another sites of the same kind, so you have to accumulate, let's say, 1000 coins to exchange it for 1 satoshi unit, what is terribly frustrating and hard to calculate how much you are earning for real. Moreover, they are probably the highest paying one if we count on the free wheel daily spin received through email, which rewards 40-45 satoshis really often. Probably only cointiply site could be considered a competitor on this matter, although they also pay rewards in "coins", which keeps devaluating your balance in case btc rises in price.

To add here, aside from free satoshis, you are earning also free lottery tickets and RPs.
Which you can already participate in the lottery as well as convert your RPs to bonuses like WoF, free btc bonus, & other RP prizes.
For sure, these features won't survive if freebitco itself is not generating income from other features like their betting and multiply btc.
And one major attraction also is their win a lambo contest. If you calculate that amount of GTs bought to its corresponding price,
you will see that they already got a very good profit.
That is, without considering the GTs generated via wagering or playing.
2344  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 20, 2022, 08:20:23 PM
Frauds, money laundering, and any criminal acts in regards to money can be easy to trace by the authorities if they are using fiat money but if they are only using crypto like Bitcoin, that can be hard for them as they can still hide their real identity. With what OP has mentioned, they leave a trace that made them become visible and hints that it lead who are they.

Well, it has to say that they should have to pay for what they are doing.
Yes, if they have stayed on Bitcoin, the government wouldn't have been able to capture them. The only reason why the government was able to trace them was because they tried selling the Bitcoin and converting to Fiat, that was what made it easy for the government to be able to identify them and them finally getting caught.

According to the OP's story, the couple has been holding their coin for a very long time and always making some moves with the coin on the blockchain as a way to distract the attention and make it hard for them to be traced, and all those years there wasn’t a way for the government to be able to know who they really are, until the time they decided to withdraw it. With that said I have to add that I do not support bad, so anyone who does something wrong should be punished and it is good that they were caught.

They couldn't stay in bitcoin because at some point they need their own fiat to spend it.
And there's limited options on how to spend your btc without submitting KYC.
But do you really think that they are the main culprits of the hack?
I believe there are other parties or individuals involved on this, not only this couple.
It seems to me, they are just third party for this heist. Because if you are a real hacker, you won't do such stupid mistake.
Anyway, at least some have been recovered. It took years before they got some of it.
2345  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 20, 2022, 05:44:36 PM
It's over now, Kell Brook beats Khan when the referee stop the fight at 6th rounds. There was no resistance from Khan, yes he still has quick hands, but once Brook gets going and started to hit Khan, Amir's body language has change. I gave all the rounds to Kell Brook prior to the stoppage of the referee.

It's just a matter of time before Brook found that perfect opening and then knock the hell of out Khan, so good intervention by the referee to stop it. And you can see that there are no objection from Khan and his corner because they know that they are really down on scorecard and Amir is getting weaker by every round. Congrats to those who beat on Brook the votes shows the intelligent of boxing community here as the vote is like 2:1 for Brook to win.

Khan was very helpless since the match commenced, though he tried but Brook was so persistent and indeed as expected Khan was brutally beaten before the end of round 6. After that the referee stopped it and decides that Brook will be the one who will go home victorious.

Khan already knows what is coming to him, that's why we can't see no objection and it's very clear that he lost.

Not an upset this time. Brook's winning over Khan is crystal clear.
As Khan admitted that the fire burning was not there anymore, he may be soon officially announce his retirement to this sports.
I also voted for Brook on this poll. But it seems that Brook will only fight one or two fights, and he's done as well.
At least no bad blood between the two. They settled whatever was remaining inside the ring, fair and square.
2346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is your opinion on the method of payment for bounty rewards? on: February 19, 2022, 11:52:41 PM
Better to pay something rather than scamming users or delaying payment for years, it can be in form of Bounty token or stable altcoins. The low class crypto exchanges keep asking KYC from Bounty hunters due to partnership with new project but the domino effect will be cause bad image for project development. Btw, to avoid shady possible cases escrow should be mandatory category for Bounty managers.

But at the end of the day, it is the choice of the bounty hunter to join the program.
This is the risk they are getting into this kind of promotion. As there is no security of payment.
The project itself has their own prerogatives what to give to their participants.
This is why you need to agree or accept their terms before signing up.
We can't dictate these project owners to get an escrow or use stable coin for payment.
Because it is their project and they have their own reasons why they want to pay their own token or coin.
If you are not amenable to their terms, don't look for bounty programs but go to btc-paying campaigns handled by reputable managers.
2347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 19, 2022, 11:24:30 PM
What I'd rather do if the ISP is the ones blocking my access to the favourite gambling website that I would always love to visit and play is to try another ISP. If still the same, I would try another unit or another mobile.
If that's really the case, then there's nothing much the OP can do but to use VPN. It's most unfortunate If that specific gambling website prohibits the use of VPN. You might not want to risk lossing your money for breaking TOS.

That's kinda frustrating though.
This is possible. It may not be the casino that's blocking the access but it's the ISP that blocks it. I have experienced this with some websites, they're not banned on my country and the country isn't banned from that website.
But upon accessing, it's the ISP that blocks the access. So Op is should just test where the cause of the problem is. If it's not the fault of the casino and your country is good with it then ask the providers or have a reset first and test if your dynamic ip will do.

The OP has not returned on this thread so we have no idea what happened here.
But more than likely, it may be his ISP as he is not included in the blacklisted country of the site.
He needs to clarify things first before pushing himself to use the site.
Because he may just lose his funds if he will try to play on the casino that he likes via VPN.
2348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why are there so many coins and the reason why some developers failed on: February 19, 2022, 10:23:59 PM
There is no way to stop fraud in the crypto community, every greedy dev comes with a new project and they rebrand the new one to scam more users. Victims fall into this trap and they learn such "expensive" lessons after the exit scam. Lack of funds is the second reason why the developers prefer to abandon project and logically market price goes to zero on a specific altcoin of the project. The choices are simple, never invest bigger than you can't afford to lose in the new projects and do your research before investing in the newly launched crypto projects.

The major problem that I've seen in most abandoned projects is that the dev team themselves have no long-term plans for the project itself.
A lot have the intentions to create a cash cow and milk those naive investors. This is the truth for most of them.
So they will create a substandard project with generic roadmap and whitepaper and handled it anonymously.
Some are good in marketing their project even without any product to sell. Sadly, some users fall on this bait.
The funding is just a secondary reason that I've seen to be the reason of failure. But the top reason for me is dev team is just here for quick cash.
2349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if crypto mining is outlawed ? on: February 19, 2022, 11:13:10 AM
The ban only means that somewhere else it is possible to remove such a ban or simply place mining facilities there. This has already happened with the People's Republic of China - when, after the ban, miners of cryptocurrencies went to look for new, more profitable places to work. As I understand it, they temporarily found such a place in Kazakhstan, but after the well-known events, such people are increasingly looking towards Russia, since all the conditions for mining are available there today.

As the saying goes, if one door closes another opens.
The approach towards crypto varies from one country to another.
So if one country totally bans crypto mining, there will be more countries that are more crypto friendly.
Hence, it won't be a major catastrophe if one country bans crypto mining.
We have seen the effect of China banning its crypto miners, knowing how big was their influence in crypto mining.
And yet, life goes on in crypto industry. Just another bump in so many obstacles that crypto has to overcome with.
2350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A painful loss on: February 18, 2022, 11:59:10 PM
at this time it is very, very difficult to avoid fraud, especially fraud in new projects and at this time the fraudsters have had a very accurate trick they made a very convincing project without any blemish for us to say the project is a scam,

A hard lesson learned by the OP on this new hype.
Some people can really make a very comprehensive project, where you won't think that they are just here to ripped off users.
It may be the first for the OP, but it may not be the last that you will encounter this kind of scamming.
It will be in different form, not in meta hype but another hype. This is why many people are losing hope in this market once they got screwed and it is their hard-earned savings, some are even getting a loan just to buy the hype.
2351  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Few lessons learned from my past to keep up with crypto on: February 18, 2022, 11:19:21 PM
Well, experience is the best teacher after all.

Another thing, don't put all your eggs in one basket, incase a hack incident even though that the trading website always tell their funds is always safe, always be vigilant and do things on your own.

Everyday is a learning day for all us, whether you are a newbie or legendary in this market.
You can't attain the expertise overnight, it is like a lifetime journey. Each day, we will learn something and a lil bit of everything.
It is the virtue of perseverance why we are still here and keep on fighting with this life.
It is good to know that there are newcomers who are not losing hope in this market.
In time, they will be the new veterans and someone to look up to when it comes to their journey in this industry.
2352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why I can't access a casino while my country isn't got blacklisted? on: February 18, 2022, 10:26:24 PM
Perhaps your ISP blocks your access to the site. Try to check that with your provider and see if that's the case. If your country has no standing bans on gambling platforms, you should be able to access it. Have you tried accessing it using mobile data connection though? But I doubt it's on the internet connection. Better check the ToS of the platform since some platform blocks certain countries on their servers.

High likely that his ISP is blocking the site but to be sure, he can contact his ISP provider and ask specifically about the blocked site.
Because if the casino is not including his country in the prohibited list, he can very well play on the site without using VPN.
But he can always confirm it to the casino's rep here, if they have thread in this forum.
Don't jump on using VPN as a last resort as it may possibly give you more trouble later on.
2353  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 17, 2022, 11:39:16 PM
No reward points multiply promo anymore? I saw an anouncement at the end of last week but it disappeard the other day.

They replaced it with the new feature as posted above by their representative.
You can now exchange some of your RPs with WOF ticket.
I tried, and you need 43RP to exchange 1 WoF. And you can increase the number of WoF by betting or multiply btc game.
So maybe, this is the reason why they already remove the multiply RP bonus.
2354  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: February 17, 2022, 10:46:12 PM
Final press conference of the fight:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v8qrcdNnNg

Both predicted a knock out victory, Khan says that Brook is obsessed with him and has been a fanboy. And he did train in the US with Team Crawford and will put Brook on his place. Brook simply said that he will go for the knock out. And both predicted that this is going to be a war.

With about to happen in this match, we may indeed see a toe-to-toe fight if both sides are well-prepared.
This is good for the boxing fans, at least, our time will not be wasted to watch their fight.
We may possibly see an upset if Khan is very confident with himself about his training.
But Brook is still the favorite of bookies here. Upset can always happen anyway.
2355  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: February 16, 2022, 11:40:06 PM
We launched with Bitcoin only, and later added a number of other cryptocurrencies, including some very low fee options like TRX and LTC.   As mentioned, we are indeed looking to lower fees for BTC as well, but there are a number of things on our roadmap and we have to prioritize, so this might take some time!  Smiley
Indeed , people are focusing about Bitcoin deposit/withdrawal Fee but they are not looking to options in which when you in gambling activities you must consider  using altcoins as well because Bitcoin transaction congestion mostly happens when there is a Bump  or Bull running , so what we need is alternative deposit/withdrawal coins and those are altcoin specially the mentioned 2 above as TRON and LITECOIN.

Addition of LTC & TRX are indeed great because before only BTC was available.
If the player really does want to bet in futuur, he can always use these 2 coins as alternatives to BTC.
It is nice to know that futuur has more plans for this site. I hope one thing they are looking at is their marketing part.
People don't bet much on long term betting lines, so they need to find ways on how to gain such confidence on betting those lines.
2356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why pancake performance is so terrible? on: February 16, 2022, 10:58:36 PM
the fall was pretty long, it didn't happen in a second. Why didn't you sell at the first price fluctuations?Right now, the best tactic for you is just to wait for another scenario, no one will tell you.I am sure that the token will rise in price, but it is not a month or two.
I also think so, may it will take a month or even half a year for sure for pancakes to be bullish again

I bought $cake at $18 and even though the price is now down to $8, I'm not going to sell it, I bought it from the start and was planning to make it a long-term investment, when bitcoin is bullish again, of course, pancake swap performance will come back again, the defi concept will not die

I am not following pancake's progress in terms of their development.
But if you are a holder, you can keep up what's going on with their platform.
I have very little amount of cake so I'm not worried about it.
But to gain its value in the market, something needs to happen as there are rising competitors already.
2357  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage in crypto on: February 15, 2022, 11:37:11 PM
There are some risks in this type of trading, the more you push your luck the more human errors gonna happen. And I didn't even mention, withdrawal fees, trading commissions, possible delays, etc. The short-term profitability is possible but in the long run, it will turn to wasted time, better to do scalping on medium crypto pairs instead of staring at the screen chasing price difference between two exchanges, in my opinion.
I think the biggest problem would be the delays. What if you've been arbitrating the whole time and the exchange got you delayed by having maintenance for that wallet.
That happens for real sometimes within an exchange that unexpectedly comes for some reason. Also, about the withdrawal fees, it might not be an issue since if you're aiming for higher profits but if it's on erc20, there could be some issues within it that you may feel that you should haven't done it because you're not expecting it to be like that.

The strategy is very important to gain profit from arbitraging. And not many people are that patient enough to engage in this kind of activity.
As there are some unseen circumstances, you are just hoping that you will gain at least a lil bit of profit from this endeavor.
This is why this activity is not for all traders. Some do prefer a less stressful way of earning profits from their coins.
There are also several considerations like the coin itself, your time, your funds, trading platforms fees and reputation and so on.
2358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: February 15, 2022, 10:31:37 PM
Yeah, they've made also that and it could be bigger because of them. But the actual thing with metaverse as related to the crypto market. It's really going to be the same as the ICOs if there are no big players just joined like Facebook.
The focus of the metaverse won't be with the payments but with the interaction and like a social living which is Facebook's expertise.
If the actual intention of the technology is the intention then what will be the role of payment there and all these token projects created for that purpose? For me they just get along with the trend but as a investor we have to think what is needed what should be avoided.
Payment will still be there but it's not the focus but the actual use case of being a metaverse like you're being inside the virtual world. There would be payments here and there and that's already a given cause since it's related to cryptocurrencies.
Every project is always riding the hype and that's why many of them are thinking of what's going to be the best for them.

I believe, the concept of metaverse has been boosted its possible use case in the market due to pandemic reasons.
To avoid going outside for unnecessary transactions and just enjoy the entertainment at the comfort of your home, now, people have the choice via metaverse experience.
Though it is quite expensive at the start but I think, the price will go down as many companies will join this industry.
In my opinion, it may not be a bubble as it has use case in the entertainment industry and for people who are introverts, this will be a very good avenue for them to have fun without physically interacting with other people.
2359  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoins kill Central Banks? on: February 14, 2022, 09:56:22 PM
snip
something impossible happens, I think the central bank will not be replaced by bitcoin. not everyone can accept bitcoin in their daily life.
Very impossible to happen and we couldnt really deny that fiat or government does have significant usage on where we get used too and just like others been saying
that even Bitcoin or crypto market progresses and able to emphasis that decentralization but still we need some authority to make things in order or organized.
It is really just people are way too optimistic on things and believing that bitcoin could kill central banks? This is something that couldnt happen even
on my own dreams because they wouldnt really just let it to happen.

We can't say impossible but as of the moment, there's no chance that bitcoin will replace the fiat system.
I understand people are being bullish with btc, but to the point of replacing the financial system is still a dream.
A very small fraction of the global population are into crypto, and most of them are still relying on their banks for other financial transactions.
Though the numbers are increasing, but the nature of bitcoin itself as decentralized is one major reason why most governments won't make it as legal tender.
So their respective Central Banks won't favor the deployment of bitcoin, in replacement of their local fiat.
2360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why a single bet is better than a multi bet. on: February 14, 2022, 09:12:03 PM
I do single bets and I don't think I'm confident with multi bets. That's why I'm avoiding it and I'm sure that I'm better with the single bets.

Actually, if it looks profitable for multi bets, I don't think there is anything wrong with that, but with a note the risk involved is quite good there. But indeed, if we still want to be safe, single bets are the most appropriate thing to do because indeed the difference is only in risk, I think because the risk in single bets is relatively smaller when compared to multi.
For some bets, it's certain that I also made a single bet there, but for those that are still vague in my predictions, sometimes I'm in a multi bet.
There's nothing wrong doing that but it's all about the preference and experience that we've managed to gain. So, if you're too confident and you're doing better with multi bet, stick to it.

Some gamblers are really risking their chance in multi-bets because of its profitability.
However, most of us are not very comfortable in doing so because of high risk of losing your money.
Hence, this decision depends on the gambler himself. But some are confident because they are very familiar with the sports.
And maybe, that's why Drake, for example got his recent big winnings using multi-bets.
