1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 05, 2022, 07:17:02 PM
As a newbie who has a little knowledge of cryptocurrency but much interest in purchasing bitcoin for a long time Hodl, since the purchasing capital is not included in my spendable budget and the price of bitcoin is not very high at the moment 16k, what should be my fear?

Pls, advise me.

Well, if you are buying at these prices I believe you are doing good as Bitcoin is pretty undervalued. I believe that we have hit a bottom and an accummulation phase may be ongoing, so I dont think you will be seeing such low prices so soon, or if ever again I might say. Your worst fear should be about the same every Bitcoin Holder has: see it going to 0 which I strongly do not think ot will.

Going down to 0 is not very likely to happen. It may go down its value just like now, but attaining the zero value is far from happening.
You can ask yourself, why? Because the adoption is increasing and more people are getting into this market.
So the possibility is not going to 0, but rather it will further increase in the very near future.
One thing that the OP need to take care of is where will he send his coins after purchasing btc, is it his own wallet or will he store it in a custodial wallet?
For the OP, better store it in your own wallet. You can use electrum if you need small space. As long as you have your own keys, and you know how to secure it, that's much better than sending it to any custodial wallet, in which, you have no full control of.
1362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Crypto would you like to see more in Online Casinos? on: December 05, 2022, 05:39:43 PM
I am fine with the current options of deposit in the casino.  Bitcoin, the major stablecoins, Dogecoin, BNB, LTC, ETH, etc.  They are already plenty, adding more to the tables is fine  but I am good with the existing options.  If you are creating a casino, creating utility token is still fine, you can look at the casino that use this approach such as BFG, OWL, even an NFT just like Rollbit.  At the end of the day, as the owner of a casino, it is your decision which one to accept in your mode or options of deposit.

The current options for me is also more than enough. If the user wants low tx fees, LTC or TRX is a good one to use.
It is better if the coin is also available in most exchanges, so it would not be hard for the user to trade it with after coming from the casino.
The common problem with some casino tokens is their limited presence in exchanges, and also the fees involve is not really cheap.
The usual factors that a player wants to know are if the coin has low tx fees as well as its availability in most top exchanges.
Right now, I believe the options are just fine. Some casinos actually offer long list of payment methods, and more than likely, only few of them are used.
1363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are alternative no kyc exchanges since FTX is gone... on: December 05, 2022, 04:23:30 PM
The two exchanges that we would recommend would be Kucoin and Bybit.

We wrote reviews on both these exchanges for anyone interested:

https://www.thecryptobreakdown.com/exchanges/kucoin-review
https://www.thecryptobreakdown.com/exchanges/bybit-review

But the TLDR is that both of these exchanges allow users to deposit and trade cryptocurrencies without KYC.

And they both also offers a wide range of cryptocurrencies, 700 for Kucoin and over 300 for Bybit.

Having said that, we would recommend that you do your trading there and then withdraw your funds to a non-custodial wallet.

I can attest with Kucoin as I did trading on this site several times and didn't encounter any withdrawal problem.
But yes, your suggestion of withdrawing the funds after you trade is a must in every exchange.
Because no matter what the reputation of the site is, you should always keep in mind that it is always best to secure your coins in your own wallet.
I think there are still several non-kyc exchanges, however, topping my list is also kucoin. Bybit, haven't tried this one yet.
1364  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing against 2024 on: December 04, 2022, 09:58:37 PM
Although there is nothing wrong with believing this, the better thing to do is that while bitcoin is low right now let's practice accumulating bit by bit bitcoin and potential altcoins that are also cheap right now, and let's hold on to it long term too.
The concept of investing in 2024 has a correlation to investing at the lowest price now, I think investing gradually for bitcoin will be better to overcome losses if the price of bitcoin in the future can be even lower, but there are many opinions about the movement scheme for 2024 will increase significantly as every movement last year period, so we're just making sure to build up some Bitcoins in a portfolio for long term assets.

If you do believe in bitcoin market, investing today is also a very good opportunity to look at.
Because you will only invest if you believe that something good will come, right?
So it means, the price you are aiming is higher than your buying price.
Though 2024 is still far when you based it to the crypto movements, you have the time today to decide whether to put some money on this market or not.
Make sure that it is not your last money, as you may find a situation that you badly need to sell your coins even at a loss.
1365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First time of owning bitcoin on: December 04, 2022, 09:42:14 PM
I think we all have in common when it comes to these things and that is we are happy about it. Before, we only saw or heard of btc but now we have it on our own hands. Many things can run in our mind and that are mostly positive. There's this thought that what are the things that I will spend in case my bitcoin profits grow really huge? Negative thoughts can only come later on when we witness that the market is in bearish mode.

It's normal for us to worry or panic but the important thing is to control ourselves and remember what is instructed to us by our mentors or on the sources that we read online by the time when we are still learning.

I got my first satoshis for free as it was sent to me, to prove that btc has actual fiat value.
Of course, I was hesitant at that time, and when I converted it to my currency that's when I believed that btc is indeed legit.
For those newcomers, you can't remove the happiness that they will feel as they will feel they belong to crypto community already.
Some are even bragging on their social media that they own btc, which is not very safe to do so.
Later on, they will understand that it is better to be discreet with your crypto activities as you may be the potential target of scammers.
1366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So USDT is what's keeping TRX alive? on: December 04, 2022, 08:59:42 PM

USDT is a ticking time bomb keeping everything alive give the supply. Should it go bust any second it would be a catastrophe

TRX? They can survive on their own.

no other concrete usecase even though there are other TRC20 projects. its crazy that with just only USDT they still stay afloat that TRX still on the top position despite this only utility. i think Sun will have some other plans for TRX or probably use it to another stablecoin that is not depegged.

if USDT go bust, its not just TRX that will be hit. a lot of coins will take a nose dive.

This is why I am curious why Justin Sun is offering billions of aid to FTX when in fact, their project is on the verge of collapsing?

https://www.reuters.com/technology/tron-founder-justin-sun-ready-give-billions-aid-ftx-bloomberg-reporter-2022-11-11/

Maybe just to create noise in the market. And jump on this drama. Though SBF has claimed he got $1B from Sun, along with OKX and Tether.
Sun should be doing something innovative to Tron platform, or else, this will suffer another exit in this industry.
If he has $1B to help FTX, then, more than likely he has still more to initiate strong developments on this platform.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 04, 2022, 08:33:33 PM

It is going to become more interesting since Inoue-Butler happens in less than a week and Inoue is expected to vacate all the belts at 118 if he wins. At 122, WBO and WBC champion Stephen Fulton might also vacate his belts if he accepts the WBC mandate for him to move up to 126. The mo vacant belts, the higher chances of Casimero becoming a world champion again.

I like that, thanks for your research. Casimero deserves to be a champion again but he will not comeback anymore on the bantamweight division as he struggles to maintain the right weight. Now that he is in the higher division and his power is very evident, I guess he is very capable of knocking down opponents as long as he will go toe to toe on him. I'm expecting more exciting fights ahead for him, and hopefully he will not only win a vacate title but steal a title from a champion.

I believe this will be the next target of Casimero's camp after this drama.
But he needs to make sure that he is complying with the rules on the weight division that he will put himself into.
People are getting disappointed if his fight is getting delayed, suspended because of his weight issues.

No Contest result for Casimero but for us, he is the winner if just Akaho will not acted strangely and continue to fight.
Akaho is a very good actor to act that way. It seems he is afraid to Casimero's heavy punch. Well, it's very unfair having a no contest result because clearly Casimero dominate the ring. It is supposed to be his victory but it ended to a disappointing result. I feel bad for Casimero, obviously he did his best and prepared himself for this fight. Is it possible to have a rematch?

Casimero put everything to win this fight but like what you said, Akaho is a great actor and we all witness what happen I'm not sure if Akaho will take that chance giving Casimero a chance to bring him down, after tasting how hard those punches that Casiemro throw to him, I can say that aide from huge amount of money that might bring him into the negotiation table but nonetheless, he won't take that  route.

We all feel bad for Casimero because as you have said he put everything in training just to get back on this track for his career. But Akaho doesn't want to take the chance to get knockout in his own country so he just take the best route for him.

As for Casimero, I don't think he need to file a protest, just take it as it is and move on to the next fight in 122 lbs. Hopefully it will be in some undercard in the US, no need to go to the champions immediately, another tune up fight but this time it should be in the US soil so that he will get a good exposure again.

Most boxing sites are using the term "pretending to be hurt" in reference to Akaho.
It means, most audience also feel that Akaho just complained so the fight will be stopped and not favoring Casimero.
I don't think Casimero will ask for a re-match on this boxer. Better look for another worthwhile opponent.
1368  Economy / Economics / Re: SBF-Denies Improper use of Customer Funds in a 1 on 1 Interview on: December 04, 2022, 08:05:05 PM
As the CEO, this happened on his watch-  where is the responsibility and accountability, guess he is trying to avoid jail time.  I think proof shows that customers' funds were improperly used.

Let us expect that he will be very cautious on what he will say as this will indict him on the spot.
Definitely, he talked to his lawyers before this interview and coached him the extent of what to say in public.
So I think, there has reservations from his side, to divulge only few things to the public.
Don't expect that he will be too honest of what he will say as of course, he needs to protect himself from self-incrimination.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 04, 2022, 07:24:53 PM
I don't know why but I have a feeling that this time the Netherlands will come up on top. And it would be about time too! They have a tradition of botching things at the final, vital moments in the past. Lets see if history will finally break the cycle of repeating itself for the dutchies Cheesy

Argentina is a very strong opponent. I am betting on the Netherlands but its a bet that makes me very nervous. Too bad Germany is no longer in the running. I would have otherwise bet Germany getting its butt kicked by Argentina.

Also, OP, your images are all messed up and cannot be seen. You should reupload them to imgur or some other image uploading site which is allowed/processed correctly by Bitcointalk.

I have the feeling that Argentina will win over Netherlands, but they will have hard time in my opinion.
The bookies are slightly favoring Argentina but it can easily be an upset or a draw if Netherlands step up their game.
Who knows, this is their time to break the cycle or not?  Tongue
But with the current game between, England and Senegal, I will go for England here.
1370  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Family is moving more than $1 million into decentralized exchanges on: December 03, 2022, 09:59:06 PM
The article says 73% of coins (it seems to me from the article that they have several major altcoins plus Bitcoin) of this family are in cold storage, which is good and also probably means the article's title isn't very accurate, especially since they weren't using FTX or other centralized exchanges prior to the crush. I haven't used DEXes, but one is in control of private keys there as well. So their approach to financial security seems reasonable. It was, however, learned through a hard lesson of losing money on an exchange. I can only hope that more people will follow such examples and take the matter of storing their coins more seriously than they did before the FTX.
We know that people do really learn up lessons on the hardest way or into something which they had already commit out those common mistakes which is something that a very common scenario that do happen into

this market on where people do end up on being that too confident and too careless with their assets which they do really make out these centralized platforms for being their main wallet.
Doesnt matter if this one involves that Bitcoin family or an average joe, it would always falls or boils down into the same concept and overall idea that coins shouldnt really be
stored up into something which you dont really possess the keys. We do know the risk but there are eventually situations which it cant really be avoided to make use of these centralized platforms
specially when we do really make out some conversions out of coins aside on doing that p2p which we know that it is really risky personally.

Time and time, people will encounter situations to remind them of what's need to be done with their assets.
But take note, moving into decentralized exchanges may also pose risk to them, in whatever form it maybe.
What is the chance that the future of ethereum tokens is always bright? But I believe, that $1M they are moving to DEXs is not their whole assets.
I am sure that they will also retain some to BTC and other top alts on their own wallets, which they have full control of, as stated from this article.
They believe that BTC is still their "solid bet", despite of all the drama they encountered throughout the years.

1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 03, 2022, 09:35:28 PM
He cant never have those pro fight considered that he had already retired.
Manny Pacquiao Retires, Saying ‘My Time as a Boxer Is Over’

Just like those retired boxers or legends then they are really just making themselves get involved with exhibition fights which is similar to this.
Fight counts arent official or cant be counted which is a usual thing.

That statement and decision from Manny Pacquiao are way back in September 2021 when around that time, he is currently aggressively active in his Presidential campaign for the 2022 Presidential Election in the Philippines and almost all his time was dedicated to it. Not enough focus on boxing led to one of the reasons why he got defeated by Yordenis Ugas in the same year.

After losing the election, Pacquiao shows interest in boxing exhibition matches starting this year. There is a series of interviews where Manny still shows interest to return to the ring and come out from retirement now that he is now more free time and is away from busy politics.

Just a few months or weeks ago if I'm not mistaken, Pacquiao said in an interview that he is interested in facing the winner of the supposed fight between Terence Crawford and Errol Spence which we all know didn't materialize. Not saying Pacquiao will come out of retirement but I'm sure he's not really decided to retire at 100% at this point.

The desire inside him in fighting with the real fighters are still intact, though as for now he consider taking his own journey with exhibition match, maybe he's checking if fans still have that interest for him, but now that he's starting to do his routine drills and he maybe feels that he can still fight and maybe he can still upset pro fighters.

We don't know if he will come back for real or he is just using it or those who are behind him to promote his upcoming exhibition fight.

Whatever the decision fans are everywhere, Pacquiao will always have a special part inside his fans heart.

The desire will always be there for a special fighter like Manny, during his prime he was a force and we are all amaze by this boxer and for sure majority of us starting to follow boxing because of the great Manny Pacquiao. But sooner or later, every great fighters has to return at least though when he retired he was healthy with no damage to him.

But we can't really tell at this point that he will comeback to fight again inside the pro ranks.

He will have to consider many factors that only he can answer.

In my opinion, he better enjoy his retirement and leave pro boxing for good.
It is fine doing some exhibition matches from time to time in order to support his causes.
At least with exhibition fights, the rules are different and his health won't suffer much.
Maybe the interest of fighting these new younger champions is still there, but he should consider the capability of his body at this age.
Or maybe he is testing his power with this exhibition fight and decide what's in it for him afterwards.
1372  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 LionSlots777.io - Best Slots Casino on: December 03, 2022, 09:14:31 PM
It looks like a scam, and personally, in the crypto world and in gambling, anything that smells even the slightest bit like a scam, I don't go near it. Besides, in the unlikely event that it is not a scam, what it has is a serious lack of professionalism.
actually I'm not a person who is easily interested in playing on a new casino site sometimes I need to see how the thread of the casino is really live and many players from this forum users, but if it's not completely good then I will avoid it let alone play and make a deposit in this new casino
Me either. I too check the thread for reviews before if decide if I will give it a try or not. So I just scan the thread for reviews and I see that most of the feedbacks here are negative. Ouch. That's disappointing for such a new gambling site. It's okay if the feedbacks are from its features or design but there are people who tell that it was a scam.

I think this is something that is hard to fix but the op can try to convince us that his gambling site isn't a scam. He may need to show more proofs and maybe some users here will try to deposit and play on them. Let see if they can win and withdraw successfully. For now the op might need to fix their site since the game icons are not showing and then there's no games that can be clicked.

If the OP wants to earn trust and credibility, they need also to listen from the users' suggestions.
Improve their ANN and try to answer the queries as much as possible.
As they have just opened their casino, they need to convince people that their site is not a scam.
But for those who are in doubt, better not play or deposit on this site up until they are slowly establishing themselves on this industry.
Their interface is similar to most casinos that were abandoned and ended up as a scam, this is why some people are thinking that this site is indeed a scam.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 03, 2022, 06:04:35 PM
we can all only make predictions and the many surprises we saw in yesterday's group match, many did not even expect that Germany and Belgium would not qualify for the group for the knockout stages, no one knew that would happen, so we can all only make predictions and I, as an argentina supporter, think argentina will advance to the final, could have met portugal or another strong team
I would guess that shocking results on the group stages is one thing but shocking results after group stages? That would be a little bit more difficult. Still possible for it to happen, I would not be shocked to see that but at the end of the day you will realize that it is a big team that will win it at all times.

There won't be like some Senegal won it, or South Korea won it, or Japan won it type of news when this all ends, it is going to be something that is going to be a big team, like France or England or Brazil or Argentina that will end up beating everyone else, because this is a tournament and underdogs could win just a game or two, not all the way to the end.

I am inclined on this situation also, big team will emerge as a winner, like Brazil or Argentina.
Argentina may have lost their game to Saudi but they will conquer their other games to get to the top.
Portugal or France is also a candidate for me to snatch the world cup trophy.
But as the days passed and more games played, we will see which team has the chance to get the coveted trophy.
1374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here is my analysis about btc on: December 02, 2022, 09:49:03 PM
Anyways today i start to think btc might not go up much
The strong support i see it's 13300$  not before.
I dont belive btc can go over 17k today i see it's getting weak.
However Im full short tonight this what i belive and my indicators show to me.
Even if the price of bitcoin goes up, then I don't think it will go up much in the short term either. I tend to think the bitcoin price will probably still be lower than $18K this December because either way the FTX case will always cast a shadow on traders and investors.

Fundamentals could be getting stronger so the price can get stronger again, but to get above $18K then I think bitcoin needs something bigger that will increase the demand. Today's bitcoin price recorded a correction to $ 16.8K, but for now the price is around $ 17K.

This is the good thing here in btc market, we can see that everyone can speculate on this market.
Newcomers or long-time crypto users, no one can actually say they should be the right one to predict.
Going up to $18k level is not very hard as we are just 1k away from that price.
In this market, an uphill climb of 2k within the day is very much possible, and more than that.
Sometimes this market will jump up high once good news are spreading, so let's see this month where the trend goes.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 01, 2022, 09:59:25 PM
First, I would like to say that this topic is best created on gambling discussion board, so it would be nice if it is moved there.

For me, any balance is OK to ask a user for kyc, I have kyced on big casinos like stake and the rest, on my own and with zero balance, I did not wait until the casino made the passing of kyc verification compulsory for me to continue using their platform.

KYC brings benefits to both the casino and the gamblers, one of those is that it protects the casino and the users from malicious users, also help to keep the rate of multiple accounting at its barest minimum.
I personally had never had any problems with kyc, but all I make sure of is this that I am not giving my documents to scammers, but rather, to a reputable company to enable me enjoy their services with limits.

Yes, OP should move this to the gambling discussion board.
As we have seen, casinos and bookies with gambling license have kyc requirement in their ToS.
This is part of their compliance also to where they are licensed, so it is understandable that they need to put it in their Terms.
Some of them are not very strict when it comes to implementation, however, the user should always be prepared to submit
if in case he is playing on a casino which requires kyc.
In this regard, if you don't want any trouble, just play on a reputable casino, which you think you won't have problem submitting your kyc docs.
1376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: November 30, 2022, 09:57:08 PM
Doge is a very promising coin and this week is the second highest coin because it rises more than 28%, I'm optimistic that the Doge will reach $ 1, there is nothing we need will reach 50 cents or more and the price of $ 1 can be reached by the end of 2023.
It has reached more than 50 cents and that has given the idea that it can also break to $1 soon. But, to be real on this one, it's better if you guys don't think about that much at all.
I know that whenever we comeback into a bull market, the market cap of the entire market is going to be higher and prices will reflect higher too but there's no guarantee on this one despite it being the biggest meme coin. And don't be assured by giving an exact date when it will happen.

We need to see concrete plans for this old meme coin. If indeed Musk will support the developments of this coin.
Aiming for certain price level without seeing tangible results is like hoping that a miracle will happen.
Certainly, there is chance to reach that level but right now, people want to see something valuable to happen in this meme coin.
A lot are not influenced anymore with just one empty tweet. We need real action and actual implementation of things.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: November 30, 2022, 09:37:19 PM
Honestly, that's a good solution already to have it remove having like the edge of the sword the credit card users and at the same time gamblers. Having that interest to pay and a loss on them would be hitting them hard for sure.
As they remove the credit cards as a payment gateway, they can just have the traditional method of cash or bank transfers plus having bitcoin to be supported by the casinos there.

This initiative will limit a lot of gamblers that are relying on their credit cards to bet.
Maybe, their government has been seeing a lot of problems owed to the usage of credit cards in gambling.
Definitely, heavy debts from financial institutions and other related consequences owed to this situation.
This will give the option to the gamblers to just use the money what they can afford to lose by using their cash or debit cards.
Maybe these credit card companies are also having their hard time getting the payment even if they are getting the interests from these people.
1378  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: November 30, 2022, 08:51:38 PM
@OP, bitcoin is at the right path and every project that will make a new blockchain of their own and new token for which they think is better than bitcoin is going nowhere.

There have been gazillions of that type of projects in the past years of bitcoin's existence and most of them didn't survived at all. That's why many will tell you if it's bitcoin, it's like the assurance in this market but when it's about any other altcoin, you'll be not sure with most of them.
What many newbies do not understand is that they think of bitcoin as any other product and believe that if a new coin is developed then that is going to be enough to replace bitcoin, but we know this is not true, the growth of bitcoin is similar to what we see with social networks, a social network without people using it is completely useless, while a social network used by billions of people is worth a fortune, so this is why most altcoins are worth nothing while bitcoin is still incredibly valuable even during a bear market.

By now, I guess the OP is already understanding some facts when it comes to crypto market.
Despite thousands of alts created throughout the years, bitcoin remains to be at the top position.
Also, we have seen a lot of alts marketed as a new replacement of btc, with faster and much better technology,
and yet, nothing has surpass btc up until now. Most of them are actually abandoned and forgotten.
Just like your example, a social network without people patronizing it will just be a worthless one.
However, a social network used by many will generate a fortune.
So thinking of btc falling down owed to these new alts, is less likely to happen.
1379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: November 29, 2022, 09:52:02 PM
We know that the market is dynamic,as in it changes constantly, and as such,an investor who isn't careful enough to know when he is investing will fall in to heart problems or emotional trauma as a result of a massive fall in value, that is why it is important to condition your mind in a way that you won't get heart failure when you are at the loosing end.
Every investor knows there is risk in the game, and taking the risk is what shows you are ready to eradicate poverty from your life.
Just take a break

Why would you risk your life for uncertainty profit? You can gain profit later as the time being with how your experience building up for every decision you make while trading, while your physical and mental health is the most important one among the others. Taking a risk is a skill but if you go down and fatal because of your ignorance of health then your whole profit is just pointless. Take care of yourself first.

Or if you think you can't handle the stress and anxiety brought about your trading activity, then you do need to stop.
Your profit won't be enough if you suffer health problem and you would need more than a health and mental check-up.
Just look for other earning options that are less stressful and have good environment to work with.
If you will find a job that you think you can enjoy, then go for it. We have only one life to live so better get much of it.
1380  Other / Off-topic / Re: Reuters Report: Crypto among highest-growing topics on twitter on: November 29, 2022, 07:41:13 PM
It means a lot to us but I dont know why would it matter to bitcointalk forum if anything is happening over the Twitter? Certainly community will start speaking about it, they will create thousands of threads to discuss about it's pros and cons but I dont think there will be any technical impacts on the forum itself. Or may be I did not get what impact you might be talking about?

Well as for the twitter, obviously it is bought by Elon so we can expect more inclination towards the financial growth of twitter shares. We may see peeps tipping each other for their tweets in the form of BTC or DOGE!!

Understandably, crypto-related discussions may increase in twitter because its new owner is pro-crypto.
And if they will integrate crypto-tipping system, that may really create a hype in whatever coin they will patronize on this platform.
But when it comes to influence to this forum, I don't see the relevance as well. Maybe the OP is thinking that people will send to this forum to learn more about crypto.
But in any case, if there will be popularity in terms of crypto discussion, that would be great for this market, as the demand may further increase.
