1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino with an online and offline branch. on: October 27, 2022, 09:46:11 PM
I tough "LeoVegas" have Landbase because of his name, but the reality is not.

IMO, the problem for online-casino not opening offline branch (Landbase) is more complicated rather than handling online casino. Landbase can opened online while they hiring some developer meanwhile online casino who want to operated offline they need to think like Place, Resource, Game, etc.

In online, you just can buy a setup and easily to be instal.

I haven't read or heard from this forum that a crypto or online casino has their land-based casino.
More likely, a land based creating their online counterpart. But it is more on fiat-based casino.
That is true, the set-up of  online is much easier than having a land-based counterpart.
The place/building itself requires a lot of papers and documentation before they can build one.
1482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vote To Earn (V2E) on: October 27, 2022, 09:15:12 PM
This is one of the new ways to hype or get the attention of people.  I can see one of the major flaws here is that it can be exploited by having many mobile devices if the price of the token is good enough to capture the masses into doing the designated task to earn.  Another flaw here is the fund to support the coin market that can keep the interest of people and attract more to participate in the said Vote to earn activity.

I have some questions, how can the project maintain the market price of the token since we all know the V2E process is rewarding tokens by doing tasks and no money involved?  No one wanted to do stuff that will not yield them profit in the long run so If the project sustains the market price, it is possible that people will turn away from the project.

Just like many other hypes, _ to Earn projects, they may attract interest at the beginning.
But once people are seeing that it is hard to earn money, they will jump over to the other projects.
Just look at several P2E gaming platforms, some already abandoned their platform.
Now, the V2E projects won't succeed if they can't get enough people to continuously support this kind of project.
I am seeing that the interest will be the bottleneck here, how long they can sustain people to patronize their platform?
1483  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Metaverse still a thing on: October 26, 2022, 09:46:01 PM
This is a weird question, projects may come and go but what we are forgetting about is that you could only end up with these ideas and they will stay. Like is ICO still a thing? Is NFT still a thing, is Defi a thing? I mean these are just names of the systems that we deal with, and they are always a thing, it's all about projects.

Look at 2021, we had one million DeFi projects, most of them are gone, but uniswap and pancakeswap are still going strong and I believe that they will stay strong for a while longer for sure. I personally believe that we shouldn't be shocked if we end up with something in the metaverse all over again as well, it's quite possible.
Metaverse is not a still thing like that, just like how ICO is not, sure ICO was a big deal back in the day but how many projects really do it nowadays? Not many of them do. Meta will become a thing again in the future if Facebook really does manage to make one that is realistic, but aside from that I do not think that it would be real.

Even something that would work with VR, and give you a semi decent look on where you are, could make it better, like you log in, and you work there like it’s your business. But in reality, we all know that it’s not going to be a high end thing for now, that is why we gave up, and even the biggest names of metaverse are not getting attention these days.

Meta is still in the early stage of its developments. Right now, we can't tell if they will succeed or not.
But as technology is getting sophisticated, the demand may always be there.
But to what extent? That is for us to see in the near future. Because if metaverse will not get the hype,
another hype will arise. It depends on the market sentiments and how the consumers will react to this new technology.
1484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: October 26, 2022, 09:31:36 PM
Seeing the poll in this thread really surprised me that there's a lot here who believes that Bivol will win by a way of knockout or TKO rather than by decision and totally Bivol garnered 20 votes, 8 for that is by a decision over Ramirez's total of 10 votes. This is going to be interesting to see 10 days from now, two heavy names in the LHW contesting to fight the 3-belt holder Artur Betierbeiev if he can win his title defense fight too.

Poll users may be right or wrong, but we all know that once inside the ring, the results may be totally different.
So this is interesting to watch also. Both are good boxers but of course, a lot are rooting for Bivol.
Bookies are also favoring Bivol on this match. I don't think upset will happen but anything is possible anyway.
As long as they will give a full pack action inside the ring, then, the audience will have their time and money spent on this match as worthy.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: October 26, 2022, 08:59:37 PM

Money laundering is never done by one person.  They have a group for money laundering and in that group many types of people are involved like government party influential people, big businessmen, many bankers, police etc. And they find different ways.  Even if it involves crypto.  Not so much associated with casinos
Here I agree with you. Nowadays money laundering is rapidly increasing by those who are high ranking government officials or big businessmen. Illegal money transfers happen to such people. It is more simply said that this tendency is higher among those who are making money illegally. Those involved in money laundering is usually pre-planned.

Money laundering will always be there, in every business not only in crypto.
So ML may be happening right now in casinos and other gambling websites.
But it depends on the casinos how they will tackle such fraudulent action as they have policies towards AML/KYC.
We can't totally avoid this to happen as launderers will always find a way how to wash their money.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question to players: what does really drive you crazy in an online casino? on: October 25, 2022, 09:32:55 PM
today I'm thinking about what really annoys players when it comes to casino platforms...

For me, first of all, the most annoying factor in the ToC of certain casinos, not in all but in many, is the rules for bonuses that are not always clear to understand, sometimes they contain requirements for deposit bonuses and promo bonuses at the same time, and there are too many interpretations.

Let us admit that most bonuses or rewards programs are click bait.
Therefore, it is your job to learn more about the conditions attached to these bonuses.
Because before you participate, make sure you understand fully about the rules.
So you won't be complaining after the event not getting what you think is owed to you.
If you think the rules are not clear, then, better contact their support and clarify it from them.
1487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Strategies for Trading. on: October 25, 2022, 08:53:25 PM
My advice is avoid trading what you can not lose
It's doesn't really matter how much you make daily just try at least to get a green
Don't be too greedy
Don't get too attached to any coin
The suitable strategy as you mentioned is of course scalping or day traders. It will be suitable for short term and not tied to any coin.
But to continue to get green (or continue to profit) it is still difficult, there will definitely be some mistakes, but at least the avarage between profit and loss is more profit.
and about being too greedy it becomes self-control. do not trade if mentally not ready and do not trade if the money used is money that is still needed for other purposes and do not trade if you do not have basic trading knowledge.

One mistake that you will do while scalping, can wipe out your small profits.
So for me, if you are already doing good, set aside your initial funds after getting profits.
At least, you know for yourself that you already got the return of investments.
And then, just trade top alts as much as possible. Most new alts are very risky to get involved with.
1488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: October 25, 2022, 08:18:37 PM
~
Now market is pumping like crazy, its obvious we won't go back to 18k or below.
Good luck to all, i hope you're smarter than me
Currently it looks like a big mistake, but none can predict the future and the price. It is possible that you can now only watch the price go up. Maybe ist fall in January when Mt. Gox payouts are made. Short term analysis: 21-22k$ are being talked about. But hey, you write it, you can't timinig it, so trading against the trend is currently better… maybe. But that happens the best of us. Look at Tesla and Microstraegy, both are worldclass and they bought higher.

That's very right, no one can predict what will happen next so you can't blame yourself if you sell at a lower price.
Because when you are selling your satoshis, of course, you are thinking that btc might go down more.
If you think you did right at the time of selling, then, don't be hard on yourself. Other days, you can recover what you've lost.
Anticipate also the possible factors that may affect the market. And decide what's best for your situation.
It is not the end of your trading journey. You are still collecting experiences along the way if you won't give up this market.
1489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost 1/4 of Belgian employees are willing to receive crypto-salary on: October 24, 2022, 08:27:14 PM
A recent study by iVox commissioned by Partena Professional shows that 22% of the employees surveyed are open to the idea of receiving part of their wages in cryptocurrency. Within that group, especially men (30% of the total number of men surveyed) are willing to be paid partly in cryptocurrency. In the category of employees under the age of 35, 35.9% are in favor of this idea. This age group is most positive about a salary in cryptocurrency.
I don't know how many workers passed the survey because of course that would determine their results and interests. I did not find the number of respondents who filled out the questionnaire which might make me think the number is very limited above 100-1000 workers. But of course it's good because based on the results, apparently they seem to know that cryptocurrency is a means of payment or currency.

Currently it is not allowed, as cryptocurrency is not recognized as a legal tender. The same rules is for base salary and for bonuses - even with agreement between employer and the employee.
Yes, the problem is regulation. So now the desire to get paid salaries in crypto will be hindered by government regulations. Same thing about me, crypto is not legal tender in my country.

If it is not yet legal tender in their country, but it is a private company, maybe it depends on the arrangement with the employees and employer.
They need to look at the acceptable compensation for the employees of a private company because I believe they can adjust it according to their own protocols.
In any case, this survey shows the interest of some employees to receive crypto as part of their salary and they are open about it.
If they will conduct short courses about crypto, this number may still increase as they learn more about the usage of crypto and how it can be of payment method.
1490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zero KYC tolerance gambling platforms on: October 24, 2022, 06:35:53 PM
Most gambling casinos require users passing KYC just to comply with regulations laws as well as protect their platform and their users from money launders.

There are currently many casinos that will claim to be a zero KYC casino, but I will advice you not to trust any of them as they can ask a user to pass kyc verification at any given point, most especially when the user wins or tries to withdraw a significant amount of money, so better take note of this and always have your documents ready for such circumstances.
We don't need to look for other alternative casinos even though they offer zero KYC but they end up also requiring users to KYC verification. In addition, new casinos are at high risk because they do not yet have the reputation and trust of the community, so the factors are asset freezing, unfair gambling, unfriendly, etc. So there is no reason for new casino options to avoid KYC.
A lots of existing most reliable casino sites still not ask to KYC for deposit and withdrawal, but if you will cross the limit amount when they will ask KYC because to avoid money laundering issue, and they have regulation for KYC as a licences company. If no one interested about KYC in casino, i think they should not use gamble platforms.

As gambling sites are getting their license, they also need to comply with its regulations.
But as you said, most sites are still not requiring KYC because you haven't reached your limits or you're not getting high winnings.
Most of them have certain max amount of deposits or withdrawals which is mostly $2k, before they will require KYC.
However, as a player in a licensed casino, you should always be ready if they will ask KYC at any given moment.
This is why you need to be cautious on what you are submitting to the gambling site before they will get suspicious of your account.

1491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 24, 2022, 12:25:19 PM
I think they are destined to fight, no matter how Inoue will evade Casimero, the time will come when he will have no option but to fight Casimero. If he really is a real champion, he should fight anyone who likes to challenge him as long as the fighter is eligible to fight. Casimero also has to make sure that he will not make stupid mistakes again so he will continue to be successful in this higher division.
Inoue is not really afraid of anyone on his division and I am sure that he will be willing to fight Casimero in the future if they are still in the same division, it is just that Casimero has made too many mistakes on his career as a boxer and his personal life that it has stopped at the moment any possibly to see the two of them going at each other with everything they have, but there is no need to be worried because sooner or later they will face each other.

Yes, I don't think Inoue is scared of Casimero. It's a shame their scheduled bout was canceled due to the pandemic. Inoue wants to become undisputed and would've met Casimero if the latter remained disciplined and determined to boxing. Although I disagree with the way Casimero was stripped of his WBO belt, I do admit that he did many wrong decisions including his personal life that ruined his championship reign. I am also starting to doubt his ability to win a 4th division belt at 122 due to his size. If he is disciplined and still determined, he should stay at 118 and make the weight.

Their bout was canceled due to the pandemic, however, when the pandemic was already over, Inoue did not give Casimero a chance to make the fight happen. Fans were disappointed with what happened as we are supposed to see a big fight but it was not realized.

The closest chance they'll meet in the ring was when Casimero was still a champ, but I don't know, maybe Inoue's promoter prevented that from happening. Actually, Inoue could choose to unify with Casimero first instead of choosing Donaire.

Now, such fight is far from happening as Casimero has no more belts to boast for.
And as he is in the new weight division, let's see if they will still cross their path.
A lot are saying that Inoue was really scared of Casimero, but I don't think that was the real deal before.
If only the fight happened, we should have known now the level of Casimero as compared to Inoue.
1492  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best thing to do if this happens on: October 24, 2022, 01:40:32 AM
Only course of action for me is to let other people know that this platform doesn't pay up. Trying to do things involving legal action should only be a last resort and shouldn't be something that you should think of initially because this may even push the platform into not paying up. They will be scared and will even give you a harder time, so just let other people know of what's happening and that's enough since it threatens their business once people found out about it.

First and foremost, make sure you haven't violated any of the items in their ToS.
Because if you go public, they will scrutinize your account and may possibly look for your violations.
So before anything else, check your account and assure that you are not violating any of their terms.
And then, if they are not answering your complaints via their technical support, that's when you go public.
Attach all possible proofs that you think will help you in this battle. Because users here can only do so much with your complaint.
If they see you have strong proofs, they can back you up and assist what is owed to you.
1493  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture HODL on: October 23, 2022, 09:59:22 PM
I don't think so that will be very successful. Firstly food consumables are perishable and can't be kt hodled for long. Secondly there is a cost of storing while depreciation of value with time. Thus fall in profits. Thirdly, different countries have different laws to prevent hodling of food. So it's practically not profitable.
Yes, and wrong management of agricultural network have failed different countries. In recent days Sri Lanka is an example for the mismanagement ending in big economic crisis. As said different measures are required and the same needs to be done precisely to experience the best out of agriculture. Corporate networks have started to get into agriculture and this wil surely make agriculture not much profitable for the farmers.

There will be no food shortage if people will take advantage of the farmland they have.
But a lot are abandoning their land in replacement of better jobs.
Because many are still considering farm work as hard work, which is actually true.
You are stretching and sweating all day long if you will dedicate yourself into this endeavor.
But if the government will give attractive incentives to their agriculture, I believe some will be encouraged to continue their farming.
Hard to hodl agri products for long time as most have certain shelf life and of course, the storage aspect needs to be considered.
1494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Copy trading profitable? on: October 23, 2022, 09:24:21 PM
Copy trading is good but you have to choose best trader who has performed very well in past. A good and genuine way to make some good income. One things always remember that nobody in this world is god to do exactly same as they want in trading so loss can be a part of copy trading as well apart from that copy trading can give some good profit because these trade handle by big and experienced trader.
I haven't tried yet but do you need to pay for the traders as well? I rather make my own trade that even I will lose sometimes at least I learn and I am expose to different things in trading. but then if people want to use and to try copy trading it is up to them, and the money they will be getting its up to them. but for me, I won't recommend it maybe because I am not used to it.

I have a friend who is a Youtuber, and he made a lot of money in 2017, in fact he taught himself, of course he made a lot of money because he caught a bullish Bitcoin market, that's when it went up to almost $20k, then the altocins he bought, he became a altcoins that rose a lot in price, currently he is dedicated to being a trader who offers a copy-trading service, but still I don't trust him, he does a lot of technical analysis, and I think he knows the tricks the most and that's something that anyone can get a tutorial from any page, so you have to be very careful with which trader you have to take this strategy, because that friend for the era when BTC fell a lot he had too much money.

Just think that they are the same individual like you, relying on their experience to get a hold of those tips and tricks.
It is not all the time that they are correct with their predictions, but they can minimize losses by applying those tips.
It would take experience to spot a failing project and a lot of reading or research to know what's going on with the project.
So for sure, he is not trading blindly but using all the information that he gathered throughout the years to act on certain investment.
But as much as possible, better do your own trading to equip yourself in this market rather than relying on someone's skills.
1495  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎁 BIRTHDAY for $1 000 000| Trip to Las Vegas & BMW M8 😎 on: October 23, 2022, 08:34:16 PM
Funny Grin you mean you don't need any of that, and all you need is the BMW M8. The car is dope anyways and I will love to ride in it but then I wish everyone the best of luck with whoever wins this car I just hope the winner will come from this forum so we can join to celebrate Betfury on this forum and also I was glad to see their signature campaign have been the relaunch.
I also hope that the member community of the forum can win the grand prize for the BMW M8 and we are just waiting that someone will open a new thread to celebrate the win of the grand prize, well hopefully that will happen. I'm glad that the signature campaign has reopened and hope they have the longest campaign in the forum.

What I am wondering is if there are many high rollers coming from this forum playing on betfury?
Anyway, with the huge rewards they are offering for this birthday celebration, it means, they are pretty doing great with their business.
Also, they have special gifts like increased RTP and new farming pair with BFG for other players.
They are making waves for this 3rd bday celebration, it means, their marketing team is doing their job to expose this casino/sportsbook.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Faucet and Bonus Farming on: October 23, 2022, 07:50:53 PM
When there is free money involved, some people will always try to abuse the system so it is pretty normal that casinos block users who they know that cheat or abuse. When I have time, I also claim some faucets but that's about it.
That's true, no matter how much it is as long as it's free money, many will come to take it.
...
It's why we need to take all complaints with some reserve... I don't have a feeling that accounts are being locked so easily, from my experience, as a fair player I never had any problems, and I claim "free coins" and bonuses whenever I meet requirements.
You are absolutely correct, I in person have been gambling for some years now, though not actively, but I do sometimes gamble ones or twice a week, I claim free coin from faucet a times too, I do get some bonuses, in all this and in all this years, non of my gambling accounts have ever been locked or restricted.
This is why I agree with you that complaints about account locked or restrictions should be sometimes treated with some reservations, cus some gamblers really can abuse free stuff and that is why most times, they end up having issue with account used for the abuse.

Most of the time, the casino found the user to create multi-accounts, hence blocking their withdrawals.
If you will just keep up with the terms of the casino, I also don't think you will be banned or blocked.
Users experiencing such treatment from the casino know what they violated.
Because it is hard to abuse those faucets or bonuses, if you will only have one account.
Aside from that, you only have so much time to claim from those faucets.
But if you think, you haven't violated in any of their terms, you can always complain or ask for help from this forum about your withdrawals.
1497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be influenced by your favourite celebrity? on: October 22, 2022, 09:57:53 PM
I will not follow pairs taken by celebrities without even researching / seeing previous predictions, because we know that we will suffer defeat, when I am going to place a bet I better look at the predictions and make conclusions about which team to play. if it's the same it's just a coincidence,
Gambling is risky already and if you bet based on the hype of that celebrity, you are just increasing the risk of losing the money do I agree with this one, we should always make our own analysis as well. We cannot just rely on those promotions, and even if they claim to be good at betting I will still not follow them because I have my own standard on betting and I have to follow that strategy, that’s self-control I guess it’s a big help for your gambling activities as well.

I think most gamblers won't follow their favorite celebrities because if you know the sports, you will bet what you think has high chance of winning.
You may follow what those celebrities are betting but I don't think it will come to the point that you will also follow whatever they will bet on.
We don't also know if these celebrities are promoting something or not, being paid or not. So we don't know if this is their own disposition.
Most long time gamblers won't follow their favorite celebrities but maybe for youngsters or die hard fans, it may influence their betting habits.
1498  Economy / Economics / Re: Switching The World To Renewable Energy Will Cost $62 Trillion on: October 22, 2022, 09:34:43 PM
Yes, it's expensive. But it is necessary. Whether we like it or not, hydrocarbons, whose derivatives are used as the main raw material for energy production, are not unlimited. Moreover, every year its available reserves will decrease, and the development of new ones will only increase the cost of "fossil fuel". This is not counting the cost of harm and damage caused by such fuel to the environment and human health. I am sure that the direct cost of the world for this is already in the billions and hundreds of billions. "Hidden" costs can be even greater, and prospective costs are commensurate with the indicated figures.
Therefore, dependence on fossil energy sources must be removed as quickly as possible. Moreover, some countries have begun to use these resources as a mechanism of terror to achieve their often illegal goals.
you are right - it is expensive but it is important. With the passage of time we have to shift to the new technique for a better and brighter future of the world

It may be expensive at the start, but once the renewable energy source is already in place,
it will just continuously to generate energy and the maintenance may be minimal to none.
We are already in the stage where we need to explore alternative energy sources and not be dependent from fossil fuel.
It may take time but slowly some countries are already tapping their renewable energy sources.
I believe some in the European countries are actively exploring this type of energy source because of the limited supply of Russian gas.
We can always find another alternative if we want to. Climate change is real.
1499  Economy / Gambling / Re: New Top 5 Crypto Casino Website on: October 22, 2022, 08:59:56 PM
Maybe it's not so bad that it's a simple site, right? The main thing is that certain sites are mentioned and that we can see advantages and disadvantages of a site. There used to be a lot more gambling sites on this site, I remember? I think most crypto gambling sites have also put an advertisement on the site here on Bitcointalk. But gambling sites try to use every opportunity to advertise as much as possible wherever they can. There are also a lot of review sites, so which would be the most highly rated of review sites?

I am only seeing the highlights of the casinos listed, where can you see the disadvantages?
If the team devoted numerous hours to study these casinos, they should give a comprehensive review with their experience.
The site is very simple and there's nothing much to read on why they chose those casinos.

@OP, your poll only lists your site, so if you can add other sites to choose from, that would be better.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul VS Anderson Silva October 29th on: October 22, 2022, 08:40:26 PM
~
Yeah and we have been discussing that this fight is not going to be rigged in favor of Jake Paul and so to continue with his career in exhibition match.
FYI this is not an exhibition fight and it is a sanctioned professional bout and this is the 5th professional fight for Jake Paul.
Professional boxers signed the contract and then failed to show up for the fight. So Jake Paul being the promoter himself he needs to look for fights that are guaranteed and may be he took the fight against Anderson Silva because they come to fight and do not back out citing many reasons Wink.

Is there a belt on the line here, if this is not an exhibition match?
It means, it may be worth placing a bet as they should declare a winner for this fight.
Most exhibition matches ended up as a draw or no winner because there were no judges.
Silva at 2.x odds is nice if in case this one will be a professional one.
Jake Paul wants this exposure, chasing professional boxers, so I don't think he will back out for this match.
If in case he will win on this match, this will be a good boost in his boxing career.
