2361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make $ 1,000,000 out of $ 30,000? on: January 28, 2022, 11:19:20 AM
I saved up for a house for my parents. In 2018, I bought bitcoin with all my money at the rate of $ 16,000, after which I had to sell everything at the rate of $ 3,500. So I lost almost everything. Now I have recovered a little mentally and financially and I want to enter the world of cryptocurrencies, taking into account past mistakes. The house needs to be built. Time is running.

You lack of resolve and patient, and you don't have any solid plan, that's why you lose your money. If your parents ain't homeless, then the house could wait, and you also have to wait for the bull run, which happened in the year 2020 to mid year 2021, that means you could've wait for 2-3 years and that $16,000 worth of Bitcoin of yours would've been a huge amount of profits.

OP, you need to make a plan, and then execute it, don't ever change it or else you'll just regret it. Don't put all of your money again because you need fiat in your daily expenses, therefore you won't be force to sell your Bitcoin if ever you'll buy again.
2362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: January 27, 2022, 02:52:53 PM
Another exciting fight to watch for. This should be a good challenge for Ancajas as although he has a better record, but Kazuto Ioka's 27 wins record is also good, it means he has the experience in boxing and he can give Ancajas a problem in this fight. Waiting for the betting odds, so we have an idea of who will be listed as the favorite to win.

Indeed.

I also think that this fight would be exciting. Ancajas is famous in Philippines for his clean and good records while Kazuto has nice records to match the former too. It definitely won't be an easy fight given the competitiveness of both boxers inside the arena. Although I think this fight would be more in favor to Ancajas once he got the specific proximity he needs to be able to successfully land strong and powerful punches against Krook. But let's also recognize Krook who is also good at his footworks and certainly a good puncher too because it is already evident in his record of 27wins that he also throws nice punches and strikes against his opponent. Hopefully, this fight won't be intervened by anything and really push through by next month. It's roughly few weeks from now and surely fans are very excited to witness their battle inside the arena.
2363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most important features of an online crypto casino? on: January 27, 2022, 01:23:25 PM
Hey guys,

I have created this poll to see what your ideas are in this.
So what do you say, what are the most important features for you in an online crypto casino?

Please choose five, and if you think of something else I haven't covered, please let me know.

Thanks,
Karl
Bitcasino.io

I pick Responsiveness to complaints this is very important and define casino how they valued their customers, and not only Responsiveness to complaints but giving and honest decision on every complaint I hate seeing casinos that just ban account because they violated their terms of service and rules without showing any proof, Responsiveness to complaints will define a casino's reputation.

I cannot agree more.

In any platform actually not only in gambling, responsiveness to complaints is one of the leading things customer look up. This is because as much as something works so good and smooth, there will certainly be a time that a client will experience some troubles and unfortunate circumstances that could need some form of help or resolution. If a gambling site won't be able to perform this instantly or as soon as they can, I would definitely be turned off. Definitely other people would be too. Because being responsive to issues and concerns show how the casino cares for their clients. It would be a sign that the casino is not solely after for the money, but has a goal also to satisfy their customer and make the most out of what they have paid for as well.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Give a little information on TV game gambling sites. on: January 27, 2022, 12:27:04 PM
When it comes to live racing and virtual sports, I think sportsbet.io would be a safe bet. I've tried most of the stuff they've offered (horse racing, sportsbook, live casino games, etc) and it's pretty much similar to what other casinos are offering it just all comes down to the little features (instant deposit, no fees, smaller minimums, etc) you prefer over other casinos. Another alternative gambling site would be mbet.io I think they focus on live horse racing if that's what your friends prefer.

I've seen many recommendations and good reviews about this website. I think sportsbet would be a good choice if someone is looking for a well-rounded and variety of games to play. Although I can't really say it outright because I haven't tried it yet. Much better if OP would really make an in depth research about it so that he could recommend more approriate sites for his friends. Still, looking for advice here in forum is a good move as well because he could garner different perspectives and information about these websites.

If you are looking for a specific betting regarding race and stuff, you could try to search here in forum about those threads. Because most threads contain more information because of longevity of it. Although posting thread like this would still be helpful for others as well. Hopefully, OP would find suitable site for his friends.
2365  Economy / Gambling / Re: Information of Crypto Casinos License and KYC requirements on: January 27, 2022, 11:38:12 AM
Kindly avoid making discussion whether you like the KYC process or not. This isn't a discussion topic.

At first crypto casino was well known for anonymous betting platform. But with the implementation of gambling license in crypto casino KYC has become a common thing now. However, KYC isn't mandatory for all of the users. You can still play at most of the crypto betting sites without verifying your identity. But a casino may ask you to verify your identity if they find it necessary. There are several reasons behind it

  • To Determine the Identity and Location: This is the most common reason for asking identity verification. Online casino doesn't allow underage gambling. You must need to be older than 18 years to place bets. Beside that, most of the casino has placed some country restrictions. Casino will ask for KYC verification if the system suspect any users for breaking those terms.
  • AML and Coin Mixing Policy: To prevent anti money laundering and coin mixing policy casino reserve the right to ask for KYC verification. Try to avoid suspicious activity and always complete the rollover/wagering requirements.
  • To Prevent the Abuses: Many bettors create multiple accounts to take the benefits of promotions. Few bettors use some illegal algorithm to win their bets. Crypto casino asks for KYC verification if the system detect any suspicious activity like this.
  • Some Other Factors: Identity verification is also required in case of bigger withdrawals. There could be few other reasons too which depends on the license provider and services of the casino.

- Casino with negative feedback (proven scam accusations) will not be added in the list.
- All of the information is collected from each casino T&C, KYC/AML policy page.
- Kindly inform me if you find any mistakes in the table.
- The list has been made in alphabetical order.

Note: The * mark casino have license information available at the site, but they don't have the license validator link available yet. Some of them are working on it.

• How to verify the license?
Currently there are 4 master license operators of Curacao gambling license providers.
  • Curacao E-gaming Cyberluck Curacao N.V. (1668/JAZ)
  • Curacao Interactive Licensing N.V. (CIL) (5536/JAZ)
  • Curacao Antillephone N.V. (8048/JAZ)
  • Curacao Gaming N.V. (365/JAZ)

Almost every casino has a validator link of their Curacao master license operators at the bottom of the webpage. Simply click on the logo to verify the gambling license of a casino. Few casino operates with other license providers. Those casino doesn't have license validator link available at their site.

Always check the Terms and conditions, KYC and AML policy of the casino to get more details about the KYC verification.

I would like to commend you for doing this informative table. This will be very helpful for those people who want to enter gambling and are still having a hard time to decide in picking which one they would choose to be their go-to. This thread is one of the topics that is needed and has to be n this forum because some are naive about it. As for suggestions, perhaps you could add another column that states whether what they do with all the data they have collected. It would be much appreciated if there would be a disclosement of how the private information from the KYC are going. If it is secured entirely from other platforms and are solely for the casinos record only, or is it being passed to other platforms such as online shopping sites, websites, and social media platforms. Because after all, the KYC process involves private information. It is also important to know what these casinos do to their clients records.
2366  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino behavior that turn you off on: January 27, 2022, 11:06:49 AM
Different forks with different opinions, I have seen quite a lot of gambling sites that have hard a rough pass and this reflects on their reputation both on this forum and outside the forum, this leads me to ask what are the bad behavior of casino operators that turn you off from the site?

What turns me off when it comes to gambling casinos are those who don't provide good customer service whenever problems arise. I have read so many posts here about conflicts and concerns that could have been solved easily, yet, the casinos didn't bother to solve it right away. There are so many posts here in scams and accusations board in which clients suffered either minor and major issue. And then when they try to contact the customer representative, it will either not reply to them or make empty promises. This is such a huge turn off because every player deserves to get a nice treatment and resolution. Also, the casinos are responsible to discuss the problem with their customers because without them, it will not be where it is today. They all owe it to their patronizers, but I don't know why most often than not, they forget it.
2367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 27, 2022, 10:28:40 AM
Though this isn't a championship fight but these fighters are some of the popular names in boxing, so I think it's interesting to watch and bet on this fight.

As per ; http://fightnights.com/event-3241

Tickets for the event have sold out in just 10 minutes, making Khan vs Brook at the Manchester AO Arena one of the fastest-selling events not only in British boxing history but in British sporting history. This will be an incredible fight given that both boxers are professional and really proved that they deserve every title they have in boxing. Both boxers have great history and records which I would say that this is a nice match up. Despite being way past of their prime years in boxing, I know they will manage to give us a thrilling and exciting match that could make our heart beat fast from suspense and excitement of what would happen next. In this game, the crowd's favorite is Amir Khan which is a really good boxer despite the age. He has an amazing boxing record and his moves are famous in boxing which I suppose is the reason why he is winning the hearts of many. But let us not underestimate the capability of his opponent Brook who is also an undeniably good boxer that could really bring the arena to life and spice things up. Surely, he would not let Amir win easily, hence, we would see a boxing that is worth it. I believe this would possibly be one of their last games before retiring in boxing, I hope it would turn out really good and be memorable for them to remember during their off the ring years while enjoying their life.
2368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: little knowledge about gambling - before I knowing bitcointalk.org forum on: January 27, 2022, 09:55:39 AM
As we know that Gambling offers players the chance to pocket a lot of money, but it can also lead to significant monetary losses (which we all had). Even though I'm new to this forum, but I want to share a little experience related to gambling on various online sites. While you may hear it often, here's a snippet:
1. Know when is the right time to stop playing.
2. Set limits and monitor your money.
3. Safeguard your budget.
The best gamblers I know are constantly vigilant and always evaluate the balance between losses and gains.
And The best advice I could give to someone who wants to start gambling is probably to never start gambling to win. It's definitely the worst approach that in the long run leads to the financial ruin of any novice gambler.

I disagree with your statement that says do not gamble just to win because that reason is the main thing people aspire to achieve the moment they start gambling. Nobody wants to gamble with the end result of losing for sure. I guess what's more appropriate to say is that people should not put gambling into the pedestal so that they won't be lost later on. Because I've heard so many testimonies that they let gambling the best of them and they didn't stop when in fact they should. Learn to set up limitations and boundaries so that you won't end up with an empty account and pile of debts to pay for. You shouldn't let your emotions get the best of you in gambling, may the situation be favorable or not to you.

In addition, when you gamble, consider the money gone because gambling is a high risk hobby or income generator that the probability of winning isn't really certain. You should only risk what you can afford to lose. Discipline is one of the keys to not being a slave of gambling. You are responsible for yourself and funds, therefore, you must do your utmost ability to protect it.
2369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good moment to buy btc or eth? on: January 26, 2022, 02:27:13 PM
Both are good deals, and yes, it is a good moment to buy Bitcoin and ETH because they dipped so far from their ATH, so in the next pump, you could have more profits if you're patient enough to hodl. Don't put the eggs in just one basket though, better to save some fiat for your daily expenses because you don't want to be force on selling your coins because you don't have any more money left in your pocket.
2370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Comparison of Bitcoin price fluctuations with other coins. on: January 26, 2022, 01:32:29 PM
Bitcoin is their origin, that's why altcoins follow bitcoin on whatever trend it will make. Bitcoin is the dictator of the market, if it falls down, the rest will fall down as well. They have their own season but mostly, altcoin will definitely follow Bitcoin movements. Sometimes there are some coins that's not affected, I mean they are not instantly fall down when Bitcoin falls down but they will do the same thing after some days or weeks, it depends.
2371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buy low, Sell high? on: January 26, 2022, 12:58:26 PM
People are always panic buying and panic selling, because they are afraid, for being too careless on buying or selling. Those kind of people are just riding the hype, because their friends are making money in Bitcoin or in other cryptocurrency by "buying low, selling high" they also invested their money on it but doesn't have any idea on what price to buy.

They didn't even know the price volatility, all they know is that when you bought Bitcoin, it will continue to rise up and you could make money everyday, but it's not like that.
2372  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turnover verification on: January 26, 2022, 11:14:02 AM
They need to be trained more, their scamming tactics is way too obvious. OP, don't believe on such thing because your 100 euros would never be bankrupt if they converted it to BTC before its price went down, they could just hodl if their issue is the BTC price as of now. Also, don't ever trust someone again with your money, if you wanted it to invest in Bitcoin, there's a lot of tutorial on how you could do it on your own, much much safer and at least you're the one who is gonna manage your own investment.
2373  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC: is it really bearish? on: January 25, 2022, 03:39:45 PM
Based on the market trend, bearish market approached this year. The graph and trend keeps on pointing out on bearish season, adding the fact that bearish market happens every 4 years and it's a cycle that keeps on happening over and over again. Which could either be a good thing or bad thing to some as it would make or break their goals and plans depending on which side they are planning to take - sell or buy.

Actually, this season is the great timing and opportunity to buy more reputable and trusted coins and also those which are promising ones that are backed up with data and information which could possibly pump by the next few years. Buying the dip is a nice move to do most especially if you intend to hold and wait for the market to pump again. Only that, if you are patient enough to wait for the perfect timing to withdraw and take profit. After all, not everyone is capable to hold for a long time due to various reasons. Holding is not for paperhands people who are easily shaken by the sudden drops in the market. Instead, it is for the diamond hands that are patient and hopeful enough to wait for their rewards. It is for people who do not panic sell and let their emotions get the best of them.
2374  Economy / Economics / Re: PEOPLE DURING THE PANDEMIC. on: January 25, 2022, 02:31:49 PM
During these trying times, people have been resorting to all possible ways just to generate income because it is so difficult nowadays to gain money, especially before when the covid-19 was at its peak and onset period. Different ways to hustle and make a living such as freelancing, tutorial, babysitting, petsitting, buy and sell, cryptocurrency, NFTs, and many more have been the alternative and options of people to be their source of income to bring food on to their table.

Those people who were able to invest in cryptocurrency are blessed enough because crypto has been the safe haven of the majority during this pandemic.
Because of safety protocol, people have been advised to stay home as long as they can to minimize the possibility of contacting the virus. With that, the mobility of people had been limited, hence, crypto became widely popular at this time because it is digital and convenient to use. Crypto is a risky investment, but it could bring a lot of profit if you know how to utilize your resources well and know your boundaries and limitations in investing. By using critical thinking abilities and doing technical analysis, one can really succeed. I have seen so many testimonies about people making their way up and slowly progressing with the help of cryptocurrency. I have known many people who were able to achieve their goals and buy the things they were really aiming for because of crypto. I have also read confessions about how one dreams to soar but ended up stumbling on the ground because of crypto. You see, there are different faces in the crypto world. It's just up to us how we are going to make our way to the ladder to climb and get what we are longing and aspiring for.
2375  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: January 25, 2022, 11:23:51 AM
We really need bitcoin as fallback if ever things go wrong, we have something to rely on. Most especially now that time is changing and moving fast, we have to adapt to the dynamic changes and transitions. Right now, most economies are prone to inflation more than the usual rate, hence, the devaluation of fiat money is slowly happening. Instead of having its price appreciated, it depreciates instead. Also, add up the shrinkflation happening, so most probably, in the future, we will really have to spend a lot over a small set of things that we used to buy for a cheap amount only.

Bitcoin being a store of value for the future is really something that someone who has the capacity should consider investing upon. It has so many advantages and benefits to offer today and most probably in the future as well. This could serve as a medium of exchange even after some time because blockchain is the next big thing and most of the things would certainly slowly transition to being digital and instant. We can be our very own banks and we won't undergo the hassle of consenting a third-party organization such as a bank to handle our funds because we can do it on our own.
2376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Brazilian mayor to reportedly invest 1% of city funds in Bitcoin on: January 25, 2022, 10:30:32 AM
Investing 1% of the city funds is almost nothing, I didn't know how much the overall fund they had but I think 1% allocated is a very small amount.
It seems they are trying a small amount that they can afford. Cheesy

But the good thing is the exemption on the tax which is the right thing to do than trying to regulate Bitcoin on their own which they can't.
I know the government is fully relying on collecting Taxes, it may be they understand how Bitcoin will work.

Indeed, 1% seems really a little too small for an investment. This won't really be felt as this is just a very little portion of the city's fund unless the fund we are talking about is a hundred million, then it would be sufficient to be an investment that could aggressively earn a profit over time. However, if that would be the case, they would stake a lot of the people's funds in which could stir a heated argument and protests because there are people who are not really in favor of bitcoin and other crypto-related things.

Also, I believe this is done with the consent of all other officials because this won't push through if ever it is only done according to the mayor's lone decision. I just hope it won't spark protest and chaos just like what happened in El Salvador. Hopefully, more places and government officials would be more open with the idea of bitcoin and crypto because this would be an achievement to our community no matter how small.
2377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I invested $100 for 18 years for my new born nephew on: January 25, 2022, 09:30:32 AM
Since last week, we have been very happy because a new member has joined our family. Yes, last Saturday, my elder brother became the dad of a boy. After spending 9 days in the hospital, they came to our home. It really is a great feeling for me to become an uncle. He is the first baby in our family's next generation. So I thought of something for him yesterday. I thought I would make 15- 18 years of FD for him. so that we can provide him with a better education. We are not from a rich family. We belong to a lower middle class family. And my elder brother is working at a bank as a security guard. because he didn't study well. As a security guard, his salary is only $90 equivent a month in our currency. This won't be enough for him to give a better study. So I thought I would do something so that i can contribute little on his study. As a crypto member, I have finally made a decision. I will make an investment in bitcoin for him. But I don't have much money, but I can invest a little amount for him. Yesterday I bought $100 worth of bitcoin for him.

This is a really small amount, so my brother won't say no to me. Then I load it onto a separate account for him. And write the wallet ID (Means electrum wallet seed) on a note paper and give it to my elder brother and tell him to keep it for at least 15–18 years. And my trust in bitcoin says that after 15–18 years, this $100 could be a very handsome amount for my nephew. They don't have any technical knowledge, so I just told them to hold it. They will hold it. And when he becomes 10 to 12 years old, I will start teaching him about bitcoin so that if anything happens to me, he can easily access his account and get access to his reward. I am teaching my younger brother about bitcoin. He can also help. However, my family's wish is that all of the next generation members will be tech savvy. Because tech is the future.

What do you think, guys? Will this amount be enough for his better study costs? Though if they keep it for 10 years, at least that's enough for me. What do you think, guys? What will be the price of this $100 after 18 years?
I bought bitcoin at an average price of $35,546,.

This is a great initiative given the uncertainty that there is in life. It's really much better to invest and secure the future of your loved ones so that they would have something that they could use the moment they need funds later on. Because it's really hard nowadays if you would start from scratch. If they would have something that they could start off with, they would have lesser problems to think of. I commend you for preparing your nephew's future. Not everyone would really be generous and concerned given that we have our own battles and bills to pay attention to.

However, please remember that you shouldn't just rely on your investment in bitcoin. Because just like life, the trend of every cryptocurrency is uncertain as well. There would be times that the market would be uptrend and downtrend. If you still can, it's better to allot funds in different investment vehicles that could help you secure your nephew's education. If his parents are able, you can try to suggest letting them invest in trusted investments and safe from inflation platforms.

Recently I have started to gamble with crypto, and other coins. Looking to speak with anyone who has had similar experiences. I find it much more effective than gambling with fiat. Let’s use this thread to discuss pros/cons and how us users can improve it!

Thanks!

Gambling in crypto is much more challenging and entertaining (in my perspective at least), compared to fiat gambling because you can use different coins depending on what you want and what the casinos permit to use in gambling. You can directly exchange your fiat money into coin into the desired coin of your liking and what the site allows right from their website itself. You won't have to go through the hassle of undergoing different exchangers just to exchange your money. You can also have different casinos to try onto. When it comes to choices, there are a lot in crypto gambling. Most casinos offer nice promotions and have a good quality of service. Just remember to, of course, do your very own research to avoid regrets later on because there are still many reported incidents of bad customer resolution on some casino websites. Be sure to only enter a reputable and trusted website so that you could benefit and make the most out of your funds.

2379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will central bank digital currency (CBDC) make bitcoin worthless? on: January 25, 2022, 06:58:05 AM
There have been talks about central bank digital currency (CBDC), a kind of cryptocurrency that is backed by a central bank. Recently, China is rolling out digital yuan, its own version of CBDC (curiously, it's not using blockchain). Even though China is not the first country to have its CBDC, it's the first major economy to do so. Some people argue that CBDC will make bitcoin become obsolete, as in this article:
https://seekingalpha.com/article/4418567-bitcoin-china-launched-digital-yuan-and-will-change-everything

People who support this view fail to realize that, while CBDC has some characteristics of a cryptocurrency, it is still very much a fiat currency. It can be inflated whenever the government wants to. It is not anomymous (one of the features that crypto users prefer). Users of CBDC do not have the freedom as crypto users do. CBDC may be a great contribution to the economy, but it will not replace bitcoin. In fact, I believe that CBDC may even make bitcoin more valuable. Why? Because with CBDC, it's easier to convert bitcoin to CBDC and vice versa, so people who hold bitcoin may not even need to use an exchange to convert their BTC to fiat, and people who want to buy bitcoin can easily do peer-to-peer transaction without using a bank account.

I long for the day when the Federal Reserve issues the digital dollar. It will make conversion between bitcoin and USD even easier, and we may not need to use an exchange service.

What do you think?

I don't think the CBDC will make bitcoin worthless because it will serve its own purposes for sure in the future. CBDC isn't considered a cryptocurrency. It may appear to some as it is, but the fact is it is not. It is only an extension of fiat money representation, only that not in physical one but in digital means. I believe this is one of the things that the government has come up with to be in the same pacing of the innovation and technology that we have today and to, of course, boost the usage of fiat in digital transactions like that of cryptocurrency. Although CBDC is certainly not going to be the same with bitcoin because bitcoin is a completely independent and decentralized entity that just needs the market to make it continuous and to determine its value. However, CBDC isn't decentralized. It is controlled by the central organization and the government which could dictate and manipulate how many CBDC will be going to circulate and how much it would cost.

So, definitely, CBDC won't be the death of bitcoin. I agree with your statement that it is possible that it could even power the bitcoin because of the easier exchanging process without the need to undergo and let your money be exchanged via different exchanger platforms that oftentimes need KYC. This could be an advantage to those people who want to convert their funds directly with fiat any moment they needed and wanted it. It would be a win-win situation if ever. Let's just hope for the best though and wish the government would be wise enough in setting and laying all the things and strategies needed for their CBDC to be successful without compromising crypto.

There are two kind of market, the bearish and the bullish, how would you understand it? Well, it is very easy, if there's a lot of bearish flags (red candles, lower high and lower low) that's a bearish marker, while the bullish market is the opposite, a lot of green candles (higher low and higher high). In order to make profits in those kind of situation, the TA is gonna come in, you need also to understand how to make one and how to read one to be able to understand what's going on in the market.
