1361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: November 25, 2022, 11:53:56 AM
He will eat death threats for his breakfast, lunch, dinner and might be dream of it when he sleeps at night, if he would fall asleep with those kind of stress he'll be having when he reveal himself in the public since the start. Greedy powerful individuals will be the top danger for him, because no one wants in the government for fiat to be overthrown by Bitcoin in the future.

I could never imagine Satoshi Nakamoto having a peaceful life if he did show himself in the public when he released Bitcoin.
1362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: November 25, 2022, 10:06:20 AM
I agree.

Trading is indeed a very complicated way of earning money, especially if your mindset is to get rich overnight, or get big profits in every trade, that will just pressure yourself that will lead to big disappointments every time you will make a bad trade. The next thing that will happen is that your mental and emotional health would be affected and sooner it will be the one who is going to dictate you on what to do next, that mostly are bad trades.

The next would be chasing you losses because your pride said so, you'll never grow because your pride said so, you won't get back your losses because you will keep making mistakes, and that is because of yourself telling that you don't need more knowledge in order to gain back your losses.
1363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To those who do not care about their privacy. Why? on: November 24, 2022, 01:28:39 PM
Most people do care about their privacy, but they don't know if they have some privacy if they are doing something on the internet or maybe some really doesn't care at all. Some people are too confident that they are safe as long as they are not doing any shady things in the internet, but that's not the case. All of us are not safe in the internet if we're not aware about possible things that could happen if we are not going to be careful, like randomly clicking links, deep diving in the dark web without proper knowledge and skills to stay anonymous, etc...

Fiat doesn't have any security at all, compare to cryptocurrency, that is why I love to store Bitcoin rather than fiat because it is more convenient and has a lot more value than fiat itself.
1364  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi likes Pokemon and possibly where the pseudonymous is derived from on: November 24, 2022, 12:51:46 PM
I don't think it is related to that. Satoshi is a common masculine name in Japanese if I'm not mistaken, but they have different meaning, depends on the character you are going to use when writing the name. Satoshi Nakamoto could mean the exact same thing that google says;

Quote
"Satoshi" means "clear thinking, quick witted; wise." "Naka" can mean "medium, inside, or relationship." "Moto" can mean "origin" or "foundation."

or it could mean a lot of things we don't know that might too far from the name itself.
1365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 23, 2022, 04:22:48 AM

Never ever suggest on using up your credit card when it comes to gambling yet that control you've been talking would really be that impossible on this case.I already have that bad experience on using up credit
card which you could really make yourself that impulsive when it comes to spending.Even you would really be telling into yourself that everything should be on control but on the time that you are
on the actual situation then this is where things becomes even more harder to resist, specially if you do know that you do still have the money or the capacity on spending
since you could always make use of your credit card which is really a very bad idea on no matter what angle.

I very much agree with this.

It's really a bad advice to tell someone to use their credit card for luxurious things that in the first place, they are not thinking on splurging with.

Using your credit card for your wants once in a while is okay as long as you have the means to pay it and if you know it to yourself that you are disciplined enough to pay it back before the due date. Spending it to your necessities and to increase your credit score could be a good way to maximize your credit card usage for rewards and points accumulation which you could also utilize in the future.

However, telling someone to use it for gambling just gives me a negative vibe because a person that has a credit card doesn't necessarily mean he's already equipped with financial literacy. Most people especially the new cc holders fall into the trap of borrowing money and ended up accumulating big interest and loans they can't afford to pay. Which could literally ruin their life if ever they'll be victimized by continuous use of credit card without having the right mindset of obligation in paying.
1366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I Am So Done With Betting Until.... on: November 23, 2022, 02:14:12 AM
I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

I'm so sorry for hearing that you have gone through. It's indeed very disheartening to know that your expectations weren't reached because tables have turned during the actual event. It's not the end of the world for you though. You will have a tough time, but you will certainly overcome it once you already accepted that you've lost.

The process of grieving especially if you lost a big amount is excruciating, but it will not always be a bad day for you. Just make sure to analyze every angle first before betting. Do not overlook any slightest possibility of the other team winning. Consider the risks, and from there, decide on which team you will bet on to. It's much better if you won't go all out to minimize the risk of losing one time, big time.
1367  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Distortion Pattern on: November 22, 2022, 12:44:18 PM
I'm sure many can relate to this illustration. Almost most of the crypto gamblings, when there is a new depositor on their platform, will first give it a win as a trap for new gamblers.
I also think i'm suited to pattern 3 because that's how it started. You'll experience to win in gambling and got hooked thinking the same result might happen again and so it's the start of your gambling activity. However, i'm not the type who will chase my losses because I can't accept what happened. I still gamble because it's fun and entertaining and that's the reason why I keep playing. Of course it's really nice to win but we know it can't happen often as the house always win.

Thus it's best not to have high hopes so you can control yourself to refrain from depositing to chase back what you have lost.
I think it depends. There are people that once they win, they will never show up again. It's amazing that they also knew that it was only a kind of lure that once they came back, their previous won are going to be confiscated again and then they will be forced to deposit their own money in hopes of winning it back. I think these kind of people are already born to be wise in life. Many call it beginners luck and believes on it than the other way around.

Well, I guess there is nothing we can do much about them. I know you are treating gambling for fun but you said keep on coming back from it? I think addiction can also build up there. It's important that we still limit ourselves.
If we keep going back to the casino, it's obvious the addiction can build from there because, slowly, we think that we want to recover from our losses and end up depositing more in the hope that we will win. But as wise gamblers, we must think that we should not deposit more money to recover the losses but instead, we try to deposit as much money as we can afford and just try to have fun. And I agree that if we can get a win, we must be able to refrain from continuing the game and preferring to stop for a while and avoid gambling for a while is a good way to go.

It's indeed not advisable to chase winnings after winning consecutively the same way with chasing a winning after consecutive losses. Both aren't really a good idea because it could develop addiction on the gambler's side. You can go in the repeated cycle if you will keep on doing that and eventually, you'll find a hard time to break the chain to that cycle.

Refrain yourself from going beyond your set limitations so that you won't go over your allocated budget for gambling and you won't be dependent on it. Just set a fixed target of number of bets regardless of wins and losses and stop if you already consumed your tries. Do not be so greedy and hungry for the profit because it isn't really guaranteed.
1368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We Feel All The Emotions When We Gamble on: November 22, 2022, 12:09:50 PM
When we gamble we feel all the emotions, like when we feel excited when we are chasing our losses, feeling happy when we won a big amount, feeling depressed when we lose and we feel frustrated when what we expected to happen did not materialize, this is one of the reasons why we cannot stop gambling because we feel all the emotions.

Do you agree that we cannot stop gambling because it completed all our emotions and do you have other feelings when you gamble.

For my point of view this emotion we feel due to loses actually comes in because of the real money involved, too a lot of people that are involved in gambling, really do not gamble with the money that they can afford to loose, hence the emotion comes in. for instance compare your emotions when you gamble with free Money that some of this platform gave to you like bonus to when you're actually playing with your money.
Therefore to minimize the emotion we get from gambling in my own experience, you strictly have to bet with the amount you can afford to loose.

It's actually the golden saying when it comes to gambling and risking in general. You should only risk what you can afford to lose, always. It should be carved in the mind of everyone so that there would be minimal regret to be felt wherein you won't be affected so much when you suffer from unexpected loss.

In gambling, there would really be times where you'll experience bad circumstances. Sometimes, the odds won't just side on your favor because it doesn't just feel like rewarding you. But it shouldn't be enough to feel you shaken and anxious to the point you'll go depressed. Just always set limitations and bet moderately and responsibly so you won't get bankrupt and you won't hate yourself in the future for making awful decisions.
1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambling addict? on: November 22, 2022, 11:23:36 AM
Personally speaking, I am not a gambling addict nor I see myself being one in the future. This is simply because I am disciplined enough to know where to draw the line. I set my boundaries beforehand and I do not really adjust it in the outcome of a bet if I'll make any. It should be known and practiced by the gamblers to set up limitations regardless of ratio of winnings and losses to avoid being addicted in gambling.

I checked the link you provided and it definitely is a good read. Knowing the factors and different levels of being addicted can help someone prevent it from happening to them. Staying away from being a gambling addict could help you so much to stay away from trouble.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Rate The Casino's Support You're Playing on: November 22, 2022, 10:50:40 AM
Periodically I play, though extremely rarely on stake.com in general, it's nice to see the absence of any delays on their part, the interface works quickly and without delays, in general, the online casino leaves a pleasant impression.

Stake is really the one of the frequently used and recommended website when it comes to having variety of games to offer and the way they handle the concern and issues from their players. As far as I know, they have an active thread here in the forum to address the problems and offer resolutions.

Although there are certain instances wherein they weren't able to satisfy their players in the resolution provided. I guess there are really some circumstances such as that casino websites encounter. There are many other websites you can look up to that offer great quality of service and support. You just have to make a research to know which is which and to verify the suggestions you'll get here in the thread.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 21, 2022, 06:31:54 AM
While I don't think the current economic situation is hitting casinos as hard as other kind of businesses. I noticed that not long ago there were a relative lack of signature campaigns here in the forum right after a succession of red days, which led me to believe casinos were cutting some costs by limiting their advertisement campaigns or at least by relocating them.

There is no doubt that online casinos are really a demand, especially during the pandemic or even amid the bearish market.

It's just that the competition will be tough. I believed if an online casino is cutting costs or something along those lines, that's because maybe they can't attract many users because of what I mentioned about the tough competition between online casinos. Pandemic, bear trend, recession, market not doing well - I think even with these economic situations, gambling won't stop its dominance and will just continue to grow.

It was in demand during the pandemic because people were so bored and have very limited access to do other recreational things in the comforts of their homes. Hence, they tries to find other ways to relax themselves and have some past-time. Despite the bearish market as well, many people are still engaging in gambling because they see it as a form of entertainment and way to earn some profits while making bets.

Indeed, competition will be tough because there are now so many casinos or gambling websites that are reputable and credible which will offer your good quality of service and variety of games to play with. It will just be a matter of consistency. The consistency of the casinos in offering great quality of service to their players will matter the most in this modern competition. How long they can satisfy their players and how innovative they will be to attract more players in the long run will keep them afloat the gambling industry.
1372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We Feel All The Emotions When We Gamble on: November 21, 2022, 05:00:46 AM
When you cannot stop gambling based on your emotions, it means that you are gradually becoming addicted to gambling which might be counter productive or a harmful. I think one should start seeking for help when his emotion becomes a motivator in gambling.

I think becoming a gambling addict is not the point but the ability of the person to still become responsible despite being a gambling addict.

There are lots of professional gambling players that are obviously, so much addicted to gambling but look at them, still doing better outside their gambling life.

It's hard for others to still keep being disciplined and responsible gamblers but with the right approach, everything should be good.

A person that is addicted to something can still be a good person. However, that person must undergo certain treatment in order to fully recover and regain his overall well-being.

Being a gambling addict can affect your life in so many ways. If you are addicted in gambling and has no self-control overall speaking, then most likely your life will be ruined by your bad habits. If one of those bad habits is borrowing money, doing illegal activities just to earn money to sustain your gambling needs, and other negative things that's related with it, most likely you'll just end up sabotaging your growth. However, if you just so happens to be dependent on it but has the means to actually control your urges, then you're not a hopeless case.

Proper diagnosis, intervention, and treatment are all they need to regain their whole life back. Because if you are addicted, whether you like it or not, there are really certain aspects of your life that will be impacted by it. If you can prevent and minimize it, the better it is for you.
1373  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you still win with free spins? on: November 21, 2022, 04:16:59 AM
that's couple of years back.
This was the past!
Now I think this is not possible. And I think mostly are fake. And those which are still paying I think they are not giving nothing means very low value and they set the a high value of withdraw.

So I think in these days you can't earn much from spins or from faucets. Smiley

This is because free spins and faucets are mostly being abused. That is why a lot of casinos do not offer them without really a catch. If they are offering free spins, the winnings are most likely of low value and you really have to wager a certain amount first in order to withdraw your winnings. Because of course, casinos aren't charity institutions to give free money.

Free spins are now just some sort of additional means to test your luck but you couldn't really rely on it so just don't set your hopes up so much.
1374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: November 21, 2022, 03:39:15 AM
~snip~
A wonderful example on how a money would ruin anything. In this story, it is his own girlfriend and the man doesn't even want to share of his winnings and will only want to return what he had taken. It's a reasonable action of course but it's already common sense that he should've give her more especially that he won big time as it's not really a big deal because it is his own girlfriend whom he will share his lifetime with. It's just sad that they might've already departed each other after that incident.

Money is basically an incentive, it can also bring the best of people. Sometimes it brings the worst as well as in this case, but money itself is not really bad or good. It's a tool in the end.

Money indeed could either bring the best or worst in someone.

It just depends on the person himself on how he would let the money affect his attitude and behavior to the people surrounding him. For an instance, if a man won a lottery, he could either be humble or be boastful depending on his upbringing and his perception in general. Some people tend to be a giver when they have money. While some people tend to be greedy when they have money. It's a matter of morals actually.

Money can do so many things as well. It's really a tool a people can use to improve himself and do good things or the other way around.
1375  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which has better odds, lottery, online gambling, or sports betting? on: November 21, 2022, 03:04:40 AM
~snip~
Gambling will always have inevitable losses no matter what particularly in games that are purely based on luck and chances. However, if you can bet on games that you think you are good at it and you’re skilled at it, then definitely you will lessen the risk of losing. And certainly, sportsbetting will give us better chances to win than to lose.

Yeah, gambling on sports matches is a bit different than normal casinos for example, as the odds need to be estimated based on the history of the teams.

If you know a lot about the game itself, you might end up with better information compared to the people that estimate those odds, and that might put you in a good position.

Normal casino games are just math, and there's nothing you can do against it really.

In sports betting, you really have to be knowledgeable about the sports itself such as its rules because you need to know how it is played to fully make your bets worthwhile. Knowing the team history is essential because you will base on their track record on their past performances the bet you will make. Reputation and winning probability are crucial. Meanwhile, in usual casino or online gambling websites, you also have to e knowledgeable about the strategies, but always remember that the house's edge is greater than the rtp. So luck will also play a great role in winning online gambling bets.

Regarding lottery, this is purely luck-based. You can't have use any strategy to win. You just have to make more bets to have a higher chance on winning and pray that the odds will be on your favor. Among all of the aforementioned gambling ways, lottery will be the least probability of you winning. Sports betting gives you the greater chance in my opinion because it is more on your fundamental knowledge and strategy on betting, while onling gambling is the second better choice because you can also win by giving your best shot and having luck on your side.
1376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Survive A Nuclear War? on: November 19, 2022, 12:08:03 PM
if the whole wide world gets destroyed, the air and the whole surroundings are contaminated of radiations and other chemical that came from the blasts. what's the point of Bitcoin and other currency. For sure if there are stores that survives the nuclear war, it will be stolen by people and the owner of it can't stop those hungry people from getting the food. Survivors would be back to the traditional way of getting food, building houses, making fire, and other survival skills that are needed.

Any type of currency or even Bitcoin will be forgotten for some time before people would start to use it again if we are going to survive the nuclear war if it ever happens in the future (let's hope not).
1377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I hardly have up to $100 again in all my fait bank accounts since I joined BTT on: November 19, 2022, 11:27:00 AM
I am disappointed in fiat because of inflation, its value is not that great, especially if you're in a third world country. Bitcoin is much more different than fiat, it has more value, convenient to have, easily stored, could be access anywhere, anytime, and not easy to stole unlike fiat. Fiat doesn't have volatility like Bitcoin, I mean it doesn't have any bullish season, it's stable and prone to inflation. Storing your fiat in Bitcoin is much better than storing it in bank, because nothing will happen if you keep it in your bank account while still doubting bitcoin.
1378  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is the only crypto you should BUY on: November 19, 2022, 10:47:20 AM
Bitcoin is good for beginners, because it doesn't require so much research before you could risk your funds on it, while altcoins is the other way around, that requires a lot of research before you should buy to avoid bagging shitcoins in your wallet. Bitcoin is the safest coin for me, the most reassuring coin that exist in the cryptocurrency market (my opinion only). I also like the volatility of it which gives you decent profits in the long run.

Altcoins are good as well if you got your research right and the developer didn't sugarcoat their goals in the long term, cheaper than bitcoin and good profit also in either short term or in the long run.
1379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So many good news but Market and coins don't go up on: November 19, 2022, 08:01:57 AM
Bearish market ain't over yet, that's why the whole market are flooded with red candles. Hurrying won't do anything good, you're just gonna give a lot of stress to yourself. Bull market will come, that's for sure, it's all about perseverance and a lot of patient on waiting, if you got bored and did panic sell, you lose, simple as that. If you're a hodler and does have plenty of funds, this is a good opportunity of buying dips to be profitable in long term.
1380  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you sell Bitcoin anonymously without getting scammed? on: November 19, 2022, 12:35:35 AM
The crypto industry is becoming more centralized by the day, as major industry players comply with strict government regulations. People who want to get access to crypto will find it almost impossible to do so without providing their personally-identifiable information. This would make crypto no different than traditional banks. There are some platforms where you can sell Bitcoin for cash anonymously, but you'd face the risk of getting scammed easily.

What would be the safest way to sell your BTC without KYC? Please feel free the share your methods here for the benefit of all. Thanks. Smiley

If the platform is your only choice, I think you need to change your policy, like payment first or must need a middle man before sending your bitcoin to the buyer to avoid being scammed. The platform must have some kind of ratings so that sellers could be easily identified as a legit sellers by the buyers, though scammers don't really care about sellers if they are legit or not since they only want to get bitcoin for free.

The other option you could have is peer to peer, but only sell to people who you know or your friends personally knows to avoid worst case scenario.
