2381  Economy / Economics / Re: The only thing goes up is debts! It’s inevitable! on: October 08, 2020, 08:30:48 AM
Debt goes up
If we are talking about nations as a whole then it was true. Well, that's understandable because most of the countries are now struggling against covid. The longer we fight the virus, the larger the debt might be.

But terms of personal life, I can say no. Not everyone has a debt or a rising debt because some people able to find ways to make a living amidst the pandemic and also become wiser in handling their money.
Most developing countries are currently struggling due to the recession and the pandemic, that is why they have huge amount of debts because they need funds to support the financial assistance of their citizens, and support the needs of every hospitals that has COVID-19 patients.

Indeed. Most families don't have debts, even they temporarily lost their jobs or source of income because they will do everything that they can do like selling second-hand items and clothes for them to provide their everyday needs.
2382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will "De-Fi" replace traditional banking in the future? on: October 08, 2020, 05:22:58 AM
I don't think DeFi platforms would replace traditional banking in the future because the government owns and regulates the banks, and it has been existed years ago. But DeFi platforms are good as an alternative of the traditional financial system to keep our assets safe from further collapse that is proven this year of 2020 that it doesn't have been affected in the pandemic of the corona virus.
2383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buyin Crypto with Credit card on: October 07, 2020, 08:23:58 AM
Does anybody know a place where i can buy bitcoin with credit card. I have tried so many websites but it always declines. Who knows a good place where i can buy. NB: I have tried Binance also
I think the reason why you can't buy with your credit card may be because your bank or your country doesn't accept or allow you to purchase cryptocurrencies in exchanges. So the only way for you to purchase crypto or bitcoin in every exchange is to apply for a credit card in other banks that will allow you to purchase cryptocurrencies without encountering any declines problems.
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: October 07, 2020, 07:50:00 AM
Well well, here is my opinion. NBA is more involved with business than sports nowadays. And when the business people handle the game and have the hands to move the pieces like chess, then guess what? Manipulation is mandatory. That is how business works, right?

Going back, there is still no proof that the NBA is rigged. And this is just one of the perspectives I have in mind and wouldn't be considered as valid. Peace to everyone!
You have a point because the NBA is becoming more of a business than a sport. I sometimes see and observe that the NBA is only focusing on teams and players who can be a superstar. Other NBA players don't have any chance to show their true talents and full potential because the game is being manipulated, so more people or fans would watch the game and have better earnings.
2385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The second hand clothes market is booming. on: October 07, 2020, 07:03:11 AM
My aunt has her own online shop that sells second-hand clothes and brand new clothes, and I see it is booming and a trend because even many people commonly stay at their homes, people still do things in their leisure time and be prepared for their next trip after the pandemic. It is why selling second-hand clothes is an excellent small business, while some people temporarily don't have jobs.
2386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if "De-Fi" platforms become regulated in the future? on: October 07, 2020, 06:43:26 AM
Just like the ICO boom of 2017, the "De-Fi" space seems to be heading towards an ever-rising hype cycle. It shouldn't be long enough before scams start "kicking in", making governments regulate the space in their entirety. If they impose heavy-handed regulations like they did in ICO's early days, "De-Fi" might no longer be the same.  Imagine developers being held liable for creating and launching a "De-Fi" platform on the Blockchain. The growth of the industry will stifle because of fierce regulations from mainstream governments. After what happened with ICOs, new denominations have emerged (namely STOs and IEOs). These new kind of ICOs have built-in mechanisms to comply with government's regulations such as seizure of assets and more. Something similar might happen with "De-Fi" if governments decide to start cracking down on the entire industry.

What do you think the outcome of "De-Fi" regulation will be? Will governments be successful at the task like they did with ICOs? Or not? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

When the time comes that the government would finally get a hold of DeFi or any other token, id say good bye to the massive trade returns. When tokens will be regulated the value would be much more stable and not volatile. Those lucky chances of gaining so much with little investment can say goodbye.
Indeed. If DeFi platforms become regulated by the government, they will be able to manipulate or control DeFi, and it's tokens. So its value will definitely become stable and not volatile that it is not worth for investment because you won't gain good profit from it. But I don't think governments will regulate DeFi platforms because many people still don't accept cryptocurrency due to fraudulent activities.
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are DeFi projects trustless? on: October 07, 2020, 06:06:13 AM
Defi projects are not totally trustless or scam. People think Defi projects are not worth investing because scam projects are increasing their numbers again, just like what happened in ICO projects from the year 2017 that it has a vast number of scam and unsuccessful projects. So the outcome investors and bounty hunters have left and stop participating in new projects.
2388  Economy / Economics / Re: Stocks fall down due to trump catching the virus on: October 06, 2020, 05:51:54 PM
Hearing president Trump catching corona virus was a really bad and negative fundamental new for the US stocks for this week. However the got out of the hospital without of any issue and this positive fundamental news made the stocks markets to move high again. Dow Jones rising again so we won't have any problem, currently. However, in this moment of the time, if you compare the stocks market to bitcoin and crypto market, you will see a very interesting point where bitcoin was not effected by this fundamental news and stayed stable in the place which is real advantage for it.
Trump catching the virus do really result a huge impact on the stock market because most of them have fallen their prices. Good thing that the president got back in the white house and recovered from the virus.
It is the reason why bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have already proved itself that it can save our financial system from collapsing while in the middle of the pandemic of Coronavirus, and bitcoin is still stable and growing. Unlike stocks and banks, they are still struggling from the recession.
2389  Economy / Economics / Re: I lost my job, how about you guys? on: October 06, 2020, 05:31:38 PM
Me and my parents also temporarily lost our jobs during the lockdowns, and good thing we already have our jobs back even we are still in the middle of the pandemic. it is also the reason why I still keep grinding in cryptocurrency and in this forum, so i could pay all of our bills and to provide the necessities of my family. Getting back in cryptocurrency is a good head start because your investments are more safe than investing it in stocks that they are currently suffering due to recession.
2390  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: October 06, 2020, 04:32:09 PM
In terms of liquidity and value, Bitcoin satisfies the conditions of becoming a global currency. But in terms of technical factors besides security, Bitcoin has a slower transaction speed and is not as good for continuous payments as other means of payment. Bitcoin needs to be technically improved in terms of speed and transaction costs.

Liquidity? I don't think so.

Maybe you are in a country where people are exposed to using cryptocurrencies, mainly Bitcoin but it is not always the case. The main reason Bitcoin is not ready to be a "worldwide number one currency" is the acceptability of it. The adoption is slow and people still thinks it is a scam. With low acceptability, means it is not that liquid too.
Indeed. Even bitcoin is already known all over the world. Many people still find bitcoin as a fraud or a scam investment due to illegal activities that is being broadcast in news and online articles, that is why bitcoin is not ready to be a worldwide number one currency, and other countries had banned bitcoin.
2391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk or Cryptotalk? What is the best forum for a beginner? on: October 06, 2020, 02:20:37 PM
I think Bitcointalk forum is much better than Crypto talk forum for beginners because most users in crypto talk are spammers or shit poster, so they could earn crypto by posting. Unlike here in bitcointalk, they always make a credible, reliable, and on point discussions, so it would help other users to understand or have more knowledge in the crypto world. It is why I think Bitcointalk forum is better for every beginners and crypto enthusiast.
2392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Bitcoin need the most? Wallet Security, Safe Exchanges, User Friendly? on: October 06, 2020, 01:49:09 PM
I think what bitcoin need most is user friendly because users make bitcoin popular all over the world. Bitcoin is not operating by robots but by human who are bitcoin users.
Many people know bitcoin through Bitcoin users who introduced  the platform to them and how they can invest and get a good reward With bitcoin. I think bitcoin cannot do without users in any where in the world.
From my point of view, bitcoin needed all of these feature that OP mentioned for more people will use and buy bitcoin. Bitcoin needed more security, safe exchanges and user-friendly, so bitcoin users would not be worried on keeping their holdings on their wallets and for them to have comfortability in using bitcoin.
2393  Economy / Economics / Re: "Humans will not be replaced by robots very soon" --- yeah right !!! on: October 05, 2020, 12:44:53 PM
After reading all of your opinions, I think it might be true that it is not the time or not ready for automated machines or robots to replace some employees, workers or every human being in doing all of their works because human intelligence or human work is still precise and proficient for now. Thus, robots and machines are still more productive, less cost, and accurate. So it will take time for robots to dominate every field in this world.
2394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best ways of introducing someone to bitcoin ? on: October 05, 2020, 11:21:18 AM
I think you already did enough just to introduce bitcoin to the people around you. But if they are still not interested, then don't push yourself too much because you will just waste your efforts. For me, it's better to introduce bitcoin to people who are interested and eager to learn. Personally, I have also tried introducing bitcoin to some people around me but of course, not everyone is willing to learn.
~
Yes, that's true. If you push someone to listen to you or join you in your venture, but didn't show interest at all, you'll just end up being frustrated. But, you've done such a good effort convincing other people. With that said, they'll surely comeback to you if they are really interested and ask for your guidance and help. You'll surely know how to answer them using your experience here in the forum. Smiley
Never waste your time on people who don't have any interest about what you say because they still won't care. We don't need to please everybody to buy bitcoin because time will come to make them convince that bitcoin is a good investment. It will also their fault if it's already too late to buy bitcoin because they never listen.
2395  Economy / Economics / Re: Not enough Corona Virus Vaccine until 2024, at earliest on: October 05, 2020, 09:07:42 AM
I think many people felt terrible after hearing this news, especially those people who temporarily lost their jobs since the start of quarantine lockdowns because going back to their normal lives will definitely take longer. Developing countries would also continue to suffer because their government gave their funds or financial assistance might not be enough to cover all of them.
2396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Elon Musk fake giveaway. on: October 05, 2020, 08:26:21 AM
I am sure that only people who are greedy and want instant money will become victims of fake giveaway, with old methods
like in the opening post. Because scammers will continue to do this as long as they can get victims, hopefully someone will
report it. This is the importance of education about fraud in the crypto world, so it can reduce the number of victims who were
deceived by this old way.

Indeed. People who have been victimized by this kind of fake giveaways and pretending to be a famous person are causes of greediness and ignorance. Other reasons why people are too easy to be fooled or tricked by these obvious scams or fraudulent activities because they are too desperate to earn money to provide their family daily needs.
2397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need advice about my portfolio, can someone help? on: October 05, 2020, 04:28:39 AM
My portfolio right now is divided into 50% Litecoin 30% Eth and 20% Bitcoin. I want to restructure it between these coins (Or other coins), What should I do? I tune in and out of the crypto markets pretty often so my knowledge isn't optimal.
I suggest you should convert your 30% of Litecoin into Bitcoin. Litecoin is good as an investment because it might have a good value next year, but I think Bitcoin is more profitable than Litecoin because most altcoins depend on bitcoin's price that makes bitcoin more promising for a long-term investment.
2398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a high roller? on: October 03, 2020, 08:24:52 AM
Being a high roller in slots can give you bonuses and high rates of cashback. I consider myself a high roller that I consistently wage a large amount of money in slots because being a high roller will give you a chance to earn a considerable amount of winnings. Even you can only play a couple of games as long as you enjoy the game because no matter how much your losses, you only gamble to have fun not to earn a profit, so being a high roller is not that bad as long as you know your limits.
2400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone accidentally sent or received BTC to and from another address? on: October 03, 2020, 07:16:01 AM
Yes. I have accidentally received a BTC from another address that it only has an amount of 0.01 BTC. I didn't know how it is possible because there is only a low percentage for us to have a similar BTC address, and for someone to make a mistake because we mostly copy and paste every address to complete a transaction. So I assume one of my friends secretly send me some BTC as a gift.
