1421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 24, 2021, 11:13:29 AM
That's the first thing to do when you are investing in the market, take control of your emotion because you need to be practical about your decisions and be logical.
But more than 50% of people in Bitcoin usually take the path that leads them to lose their emotions, make illogical decisions, and use their Bitcoins in a non-practical way by trading them with shitcoins.
Well, we still have a primitive emotions so it can't be blamed, despite all of this advanced technologies, we have a slow progress because we think like our ancestors. Maybe in the next generation we can see some changes little by little. Another problem that I can think of is that most people who get in crypto or those 50 percent that you are mentioning doesn't know anything about investing and just do a blind leap hoping to hit the Lambo.
1422  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I die can someone achieve my btc. on: April 24, 2021, 10:10:22 AM
All you need to do is provide the wallet seed cluster and anyone can access and use your wallet.
In the event that you did not provide your seed cluster or password, no one will receive your bitcoins.
Better yet, if you are that worried and you can afford to do a will and testament, maybe include all the necessary credentials to access your wallet in the case that something unfortunate happens. To OP, I don't think that you have to worry about it, if you die, that is the least thing that someone's dying is going to think of.
1423  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: wavel.io - Cryptocurrency Alerting Tool on: April 24, 2021, 08:03:29 AM
I would suggest that you should add more feature to your tool because there are others that do the same work like Coingecko that I use to check the prices. Maybe you could remove the extra and make it free altogether and just put a donation to your work so you can maintain it or ditch it altogether because most tools that price alerts are free.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 24, 2021, 07:06:54 AM
I guess dealing with yourself is the most effective way to relieve stress when holding bitcoins. Laughing may help but still it made your heart beats hardly if I presume.
That's the first thing to do when you are investing in the market, take control of your emotion because you need to be practical about your decisions and be logical.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which other company will support Bitcoin next? on: April 24, 2021, 06:19:57 AM
Maybe retail and eCommerce will be the big ones that will support bitcoin because most big tech companies are leaning on making their own cryptocurrency like Facebook on their Libra project. Hopefully that will be the case but I could be wrong and tech companies will adopt first.
1426  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-03-22 yahoo! - 'Bitcoin Winter' Could Last For Years After Price Hits $300k on: April 24, 2021, 05:07:08 AM
I think these articles in the media have only one purpose. Their goal is to ensure that faith in bitcoin does not grow stronger, but rather diminishes. The United States is a country where the Federal Reserve, disguised as a central bank (but in fact a private bank) issues the US dollar. And the people who control this emission are not at all interested in the development of bitcoin and the cryptocurrency market in general. They need, ideally, to discredit the very sphere of cryptocurrency in order for people to continue to trust ordinary money.
I think that it's got a point though because if we reach that price point, I am sure that people will probably sell their bitcoin continuously and the drop in prices wouldn't much which in turn will cause the prices to slump continuously. And in my opinion, at that point, I don't think that faith is going to waver since bitcoin reached that point.
1427  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-04-21] Governments can stop Bitcoin by shutting down mining, says Electric on: April 24, 2021, 04:32:41 AM
Only time that I think that bitcoin will be stopped by the government is if they disable electricity altogether which is impossible since a lot of people will die in the next 24 hours without electricity and we will basically go back to Stone age when that happens so I call BS on this claim because as long as there is electricity, miners will find a way to  do their thing albeit they have to be more crafty and careful.
1428  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your bet? how many years could bitcoin go to its highest? on: April 24, 2021, 03:48:17 AM
As long as you are measuring bitcoin price in fiat terms the answer is always or basically as long as fiat exists and it is inflationary because as they keep printing more fiat and dump its value, bitcoin price against it will continue to rise. Since I don't see fiat going anywhere or governments changing their crazy money printing policy, bitcoin will always keep going up.

But if we measure "value" of bitcoin instead of just its price against fiat, then it is a matter of mass adoption. And I believe that mass adoption needs at least another decade to be fully reached and until then we will have a bullish bitcoin.
In short term it will of course have big rise and falls like we have been seeing in the past 12 years.
For some countries, it is not that easy to just print money like how US does it, I think in my country, there are a special permit or some sort of a go signal before they can do so and a lot of study is done before doing so.

Another decade is too short for me because that means that the adoption needs to grow exponentially because the world is a big one and we have a lot of countries to convince that they have to adopt bitcoin.
1429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The old fiat days are behind us! on: April 23, 2021, 11:09:43 AM
I think you are almost right. But we aren't there yet. It's a hard process that will take time. maybe couple of decades but we're getting there.
Hard to say that we are there yet especially with countries that don't have the latest technologies, I think that we will be on fiat for another 200 years if we are lucky not to fuck this planet or start a nuclear holocaust. I for one, live in a country that is behind in technology so I have to disagree that fiat is behind us not to mention that fiat has been here for thousands of years so it will be hard to remove that idea.
1430  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money from Bitcoin in 2021 on: April 23, 2021, 10:24:37 AM
When the Bitcoin price is on a downtrend, these options could really be thought. But the best thing for making money from Bitcoin is to HODL, I believe. Especially buying from as low level as possible could really help someone make a great deal of profit in the long run.
Hodling is good but I think that it is not the best one to make money with bitcoin because there are gambling sites that offer bankroll investing although there is a risk that there will be days where you are experiencing losses but in the long-term with banroll investing, you will be able to profit.
1431  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Greed: Mining - Shall we kill everyone in CHINA with smoke from coal? on: April 23, 2021, 09:43:24 AM
It's ridiculous, very few people in China affect Bitcoin price, but everyone in China should die. You should visit psychiatrists/psychologists.
The funny thing is that I think that OP believes this shit that they should die, to me this news of coal plants shutting down is a good news because if it is a permanent shut down then they are probably switching to a greener energy or a nuclear one. By the way, are you hurt OP? You look like you paid a lot of money for a transaction.
1432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now it's time for all weak hands to drop their Bitcoins on: April 23, 2021, 09:01:51 AM
I was surprised to see the price of bitcoin below $1 trillion dollars today, but that is how bitcoin price do fluctuates. Bitcoin is just a limited asset, that makes it valuable, its price can rise and fall back, but over long time, there will be a next rise.
If you know the history of bitcoin prices then you shouldn't be surprised since you know that the prices will bounce back, I find that some people forgot that bitcoin is volatile just because it is pumping up in the recent months and hopefully this dip is going to teach them a lesson. This thread title is already too late because the weak hands have already sold when the prices were still atound 54k.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Debunking the "Bitcoin is an environmental disaster" argument. on: April 23, 2021, 08:26:47 AM
I think the reason that people are lumping bitcoin with being a contributor to environmental problems is because the world still uses more fossil fuels for electricity rather than renewable resources and with the narrative that bitciin consumes a lot of electricity, it will be definitely be blamed but we know that it isn't the case.
1434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if Satoshi moves or sells his Bitcoin? on: April 23, 2021, 07:50:26 AM
Satoshi could be the richest person or group in the world then. But I don't think such thing will happen. And Satoshi will continue HODLing. We don't even know Satoshi is still alive though.
Exactly, not to mention that satoshi might not be only one person and that 1 million bitcoins were divided equally to the group that is satoshi. Maybe satoshi isn't going to really sell it but waits for the time when bitcoin is already at the peak and that bitcoin is already a widely used currency instead of just an asset. If in the rare case that satoshi did sold those bitcoins then probably the prices is going to go down in catastrophic levels.
1435  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I stake my crypto? on: April 23, 2021, 07:15:59 AM
If you think that it is worth staking then you should probably do it, just remember to do your own research with the coin that you are staking because you might end up staking on a coin that will be worthless by the time you decided to sell your coins.
1436  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we use Bitcoin for regular transaction now? on: April 23, 2021, 06:31:36 AM
If the transaction fees are stable and it goes down and will never go up again, I am pretty sure that we can use it for daily transactions but considering what is happening now with the expensive transaction fees, I think it wouldn't be good for us to use bitcoin for that. Not to mention that bitcoin is volatile, you might've paid right today but tomorrow you could've paid mode or less than today.
1437  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Breaks Below $50K as Market Sell-Off Continues on: April 23, 2021, 05:05:16 AM
It's not a really bad situation, if you have the money, you can probably buy some bitcoin right now and hodl it until the prices go up again, if the decline continues then you should probably buy more to hodl more bitcoin because in the long-term, you are going to get more bitcoin.
1438  Other / Off-topic / Re: I am diagnosed with severe PTSD on: April 23, 2021, 04:25:20 AM
Didn't know that a market crash could cause a shell shock, from what I can remember, those that experience shell shock are the people that have gone through worse things than a price crash like war or abuse
1439  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transactions Fee Are More Expensive Than Ever on: April 22, 2021, 11:07:22 AM
Well, you can just wait it out and let it go back to normal, the hashrates are reduced so what can we do but just roll with it. Or you can just use other coins to exchange for fiat that has less transaction fees. Also your complaining doesn't do anything because the core developers are doing their best to solve the problem.
1440  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will drop to 20k is not time to buy btc now on: April 22, 2021, 10:07:30 AM
Everything can happen but no one knows what would be the accurate prediction that may happen in the future, we know that the volatility of bitcoin is always there and it changes from time to time so we should expect things like this, the thing here is that it is up to you if you predict that it would continue falling about $20k or just a bit dump and will still recover right away. This is really different from the year 2017 because there are already a lot of companies and countries that are now exploring the world of cryptocurrency especially bitcoin so I don't think that bitcoin will dump so hard.
Whatever happens in the future is not our concern, we can't see it therefore we can't change it to our bidding and even if we see it, there is no other fork on the road other than towards that future. It is likely that the price will drop to 20k or even lower but what's the point of worrying about it when there is no way we can control the volatily of the market, why not make a profit out of it instead of whining that the prices are going down.
