I like to watch my 55.55 sendings confirm: They are averaging 1 confirm per minute today.
FTC and CNC took 12 hours to get 6 confirms today.

Bribing people to vote?? That is really pathetic.
cry me a river I've just voted for GLD and not because I want free GLD, but because of all of the listed coins in that vote I think it stands the best chance of being successful in the long term, perhaps even more so when it makes it onto more exchanges. Here's my GLD address anyway: DxXpdyqJ2jZXzN72mXZYNuvUF7Z9n17dHT I like the number 55.55 today. Enjoying the banter here !

The people who complain about exchange price are misguided IMO. A lot of coins should not be on exchanges yet because they are too young to be priced properly.

This is actually an alt. coin with huge potential. The network seems quite stable at the moment, with a reasonable difficulty structure and GLDcoin seems to be building up a dedicated following. Despite the pre-mine the total number of coins and the reward structure should provide some longevity. Congrats to GLDcoin - this one really is a gold rush! I hope that development continues, its clearly partly built from feathercoin, as you can see when you encrypt the wallet in the current (1st) windows version compile. Anyway I'm mining some GLDcoin with my 100+ kh/s scrypt box over at gld.vircurpool.com I think that Goldcoin could be popular with the masses, over some of the other alt. crypto-currencies, purely due to its name. Doing quite well on the coinchoose.com leader board as well presently. Thanks for your +1 The smart money is keeping its head down and steadily mining. Ignore any exchange prices. Anyone with a small amount of BTC to spend is enjoying buying coins which eventually will be 4x scarcer than FTC, at 100th (yes one hundreth !) of the price.

Don worry their are lot of goldcoin supporters and the base is growing. I'm so pissed. look at the trade volume we have on cryptsy 4million in the last 24 hours. are coin is turning into a joke because of you idiots that are pumping and dumping. fucking idiots. if you would sell only a small amount we could all get rich. Please stay calm. You are on the winning side. Let the dumpers dump at low prices until the bulk of the coins are in firmer hands. There are only just over 10m coins existing atm anyway.

still not profit this price Keep mining for a couple weeks and you may think differently.

I had the same problem with the client trying to redownload the blockchain. I thought it was because I lost power while the client was running, so I reinstalled it and same thing happening. This was only on a second client I have, not the main one interestingly enough.
Goldcoin, are these files a new version or not?
If anyone want to buy some GLD, PM me...
The phantom resync issue is just the result of low network hash at present (several coins have it intermittently). A bad node is showing the wrong statistic, but is rejected by the good nodes when enough are connected. Wallet functionality is not affected.

I am mining BBQ at the moment but I am beggining to wonder if it is worth it, people are dumping hundreds of thousands on the exchanges. Does anyone think BBQ will recover from this? At the mo even CNC is worth way more than a BBQ lmao... Any way I will stick at it for a while just incase.
That is the way mining goes. The coins that seem profitable are the ones that fly, then often crash and burn, because all their network hash (miner-tarts) deserts them as soon as a better (apparent) prospect comes along. The coins which survive and prosper are generally the ones that build up slowly , with longer term supporters. (check out the history of BTC and LTC)

This is what keeps on happening however I will restart client and it says up to date then few hours later will happen again and again and client does not update correctly. Whats going on here. Never seen this happen in a client before on any other coins.
I have same with dgc, gld and wdc wallets Sometimes the wallet seems to be trying to re-sync: there is a rogue node out there which is broadcasting a wrong blockchain. ... the other nodes catch it and ban their IP automatically after a while. Even when showing the wrong info. it does not affect any wallet function- it still responds as up to date and makes transactions normally. You usually only see this on coins with low hashrate: it is happening to a few others. Once the network has enough nodes/miners, we won't have this issue, because likely other nodes will ban them before you even see it.

All, FYI on the wallet trying at times to re-sync. This is someone trying to attack the network through offline mining of the blockchain. They then try to force it onto the network (to get all the coins they mined offline), but the other nodes catch it and ban their IP automatically after a while. They obviously know the other nodes will reject this, but they try anyways because it acts like a denial of service.
Once the network has enough nodes/miners, we won't have this issue, because likely other nodes will ban them before you even see it. This code as far as the wallet goes is identical to litecoin. Only modifications are on the reward/difficulty logic.
You usually only see this on coins with low hashrate. Once we are added to an exchange (within a few days I am told - can't say where), and more people start mining (because it will be worthwhile for for them), these issues should cease.
Thanks for that clarification. I had eventually concluded it was the case... Just not sure whether the rogue node was a deliberate attack, or a program error (on the node). I am mining, but I think GLD is cheaper for me to buy right now, so I will keep a bid under it.
