Thanks... Does this need the same addnodes as before, and a full download from scratch ?

Addresses are recorded on the blockchain arent they? You need a transaction on the original chain. If you sent coins from an exchange onto an address which you generated on the newest blocks of the forked chain..you might be screwed. If you can send the coins back to the exchange it would be fine as their addresses exist on both forks. But they disabled deposits too I had a balance of 148k in the original .dat The new synched wallet shows my correct pub and priv keys, but with a NIL balance. Do your 148k coins exist on the forked chain BEFORE 128k? I think this is the key. If not, If you want your coins back you need to send them back to the exchange by contacting them and explaining the problem. Coins need to be on an address which is logged before the split, in order to get coins BACK. I did not send the coins from an exchange recently ( it was before 27 Jun) The coins show up here : http://super.blockexplorer.cc/address/ShW8k2TSuHNneDzyJXp9tR1mzMyC56VUmo..but not here : http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOIN

If your address doesnt exist then you are fine, you can make it exist with a transaction. I think blockchain doesnt record addresses by themselves, just transactions. Then your wallet `counts` how much coins you earned or lost on the blockchain to your addresses which shows your balance So, are you saying I should resync the chain using an old version of the wallet, and make some (any) transaction, or resend all my coins somewhere ? ..otherwise how could I upgrade to the original chain ?

sending coins while there's fork is not too smart
1. Wallet has been fixed when I sent my coins 2. I'm on the correct chain More likely Bittrex still on the wrong chain, so they stopped market again. You can check from block explorer if you are on correct block chain. http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOINHelp ! I appear to have lost all my coins ! I downloaded the blockchain from the beginning ( http://www.super-coin.net/Supercoin21.zip)... Also used the longer list of addnodes in .config I put my .dat in and it shows NIL balance. (listaddressgroupings command shows nothing in brackets, blank, , but the 'receive' address is correct, as before) The total number of blocks is shown as 130183. Worse, my address is not appearing on http://cryptotrends.info/SUPERCOIN ! What is my next move ?

|
I am synching from scratch, with all the nodes from the OP in the conf. file, but still get to 129k blocks, with checkpoint error message.

Let us take Animecoin to a new level, we can make it. You are doing a wonderful job raganius. With people like you we have no hindrance between now and the time our dreams come true. Ikimashou! Little Donation for an amazing coin!

Wow 8bitp thank you for such generosity! now here is a auction sight that we should try and get are coin added to. offer the sight owner a bribe or something. http://www.stuffcoins.com/doge/ or if someone could make us an auction sight like that now that would make us go way up on the coin ranks I think you mean bounty not bribe. now here is a auction sight that we should try and get are coin added to. offer the sight owner a bribe or something. http://www.stuffcoins.com/doge/ or if someone could make us an auction sight like that now that would make us go way up on the coin ranks Thank you, highlandknight san, for your suggestion ^^ I will try to get in touch with them - actually we all should try to get in touch with merchants, introducing Animecoin to them: that's what I have been doing a lot recently. At least, a handfull of shops are now aware of ANI (from the replies I have received, most weren't even acquainted to Bitcoin...) Glad to see you here. Your posts and suggestions are always relevant (e.g. I've been voting hourly at https://www.allcoin.com/vote/#ANI ) I am voting too. Keep up the good work everyone. Let us take Animecoin to a new level, we can make it. You are doing a wonderful job raganius. With people like you we have no hindrance between now and the time our dreams come true. Ikimashou! +1 I'd like to second that! Thank you raganius for stepping up and doing a fine job. I'd also like to thank everyone else for their support through valued donations, adding features and great ideas. It is I who have to thank you all for being here. I really love Animecoin and I wish this dream to come true. Also, how peaceful it is here. Isn't it? I participate (or at least try to) in some of the other threads here in BitcoinTalk, but, oh boy, there is a war going on out there!! Everywhere there is stressed posters, fud, threats, fights... People are more worried with "easy" pump and dump money (mere illusion, changing the cryptocurrencies into casinos), and each alt keeps attacking the others as soon as any progresses are achieved! I don't wish this hell to Animecoin. Animecoin is happiness... It is pleasure... Just like anime and manga, and sushi are Of course, we want better exchange rates, it's necessary, but I wish the appreciation will be soft and steady, without too many bumps and, especially with no awful pumps and dumps!!! Good work ! This is the right way to develop a coin. Anime doesn't attract the attention of trolls and disrupters because the monetary incentive is not immediate.

Morning!! Fabulous clear Winter morning, with Eric and Mrs. Eric Emu eating wheat just outside the window.
Majormax, PSD has a media promotion in hand. Could you write a text on POS coins?? I sure wish I understood more about them.
And: ten days to beta:
cryptomall.com.au
Mark, Australia
Here's a bit of text which gives a few pointers: Proof of Stake is an alternative method to Proof of Work (standard mining) and it does a similar job in verifying transactions by adding a new block to the chain (which I will call 'minting' in order to differentiate from PoW mining). The new blocks perform the task of adding transactions to the permanent ledger, and as a reward, the wallet which minted the block gets a reward proportional to the coins held ( in a specific chunk) within that wallet.
Every open wallet can participate in the search for new blocks, the only qualification being the ownership of coins with a minimum 'age' ie having been unmoved at the same address for a minimum period of time, 30 days in the case of CGB. The minting is similar to mining, in that it is probabilistic, dependent on a combination of size of chunk, age of coins and CPU power. All wallets on the network are competing to find PoS blocks, and those chunks with greatest 'weight' (age*size) have advantage, although everything gets there eventually.
To 'mint' or mine stake (Proof Of Stake), your wallet has to be open, unlocked, and contain at least some coins of the minium required 'age'. That means they would have to have been in the wallet , untouched for 30 days + in the case of CGB. The rate of new PoS coins minted is usually expressed as an annual percentage rate, of the qualifying coins.
Proof of Stake is considered more secure from a '51%' attack than proof of work, as control of the majority of the coins (ownership) would be required in addition to 51% of the network hashpower in order to change blocks.
Observed Mechanics: After some time with the wallet open, an incoming transaction appears , corresponding to the amount of coins staked on each qualifying 'chunk' in the wallet. So if the stake % was , say 365%pa, that would be 1 coin per day (of coin age) per 100 coin chunk (365 coins per annum).
When your wallet has minted some stake, the whole balance used for minting (which qualified by virtue of being at least 30 days old) is transferred to 'stake' section.....When 50 confirmations are reached, everything transfers back to 'Balance'. The ageing process then begins again, but you now have two chunks for every one that minted (halved, but with stake added). When they reach 30 days old again, the wallet attempts to mint more stake. The chunks of coin are split smaller and smaller at each staking, and that is why 'coin control' is an essential tool in the wallet , otherwise the minting process can eventually grind to a halt with the blockchain being full of 'dust'.

For other victims, I feel sorry about it.
But it remind me there was a guy around here name "qawzsx". He attacking people around, if you don't support sharecoin, he attack you. Even you have only some question about this coin, he attack you too. He don't respect to anyone here. You can only support sharecoin, otherwise he'll attack you. After sharexcoin launch chatbox, I see him there often. What a big big fans..
What now?? Haha! Pathetic victim.
I had long discussions with qawzsx on this thread (around page 250) . My quotes are still there. He deleted ALL his posts. STRANGE. A lot of posts (8 pages full ) have been deleted today. I expect most can be traced from their quotes.

the coin is dead,i am too sad..
dev didn't just kill his coin, but the concept of pure-pos distribuited coins in a whole.....someone should kick his ass That's right. I posted about this on COMM thread earlier. There have been no further coins (as far as I know) using this concept.

Logo contest: This is a tough choice.
Bitcoinwonders has the most professional looking, but it has similarities to many other coins.
Sadface has produced a simple, artistic and instantly recognizable icon. That could be the centrepiece for a little more elaboration.

The intention may have been for a much higher price from the pump, and a buying surge which did not materialize. Anyway time will tell.
Yeah, also possible. COMM have to make some noise, at least someone can buy some gold @ coaex, but dev have to ask them to bring it back. Let this whale to spend some COMMs COMM is still cheap (but so are many other coins). The distribution model was not used by many coins, and that makes COMM a bit special. Sharecoin used a similar model (well executed), but that turned out to be a total scam, thus (undeservedly) discrediting the model. It is still worth following COMM.

I suspect yesterday play was just a test. We have to prepare to pure thrash soon. Our whale friend is greedy and he decided to buy much more COMM.
so you know who pumped this, is your friend , tell your friend to remove that 25 sell wall Man, I said our friend, friend of our community. oh... i misunderstood then, but i'm sure another pump is coming That was a good chance to get out, and many of us took it. The price will now settle back into its previous trend, in common with most other alts. You are probably wrong whales are not buying to get out in loss Maybe I am wrong, maybe right, but whales buy and get out at a loss as much (or even more) than anyone else. The intention may have been for a much higher price from the pump, and a buying surge which did not materialize. Anyway time will tell. My own strategy fwiw, is to sell on quick rises, but never to sell out (ie retain 50% after each move up). That has served well, because I always have fresh money to buy new coins that I like, and it is the newer coins which have (so far) provided the real profits. Curiously, there is still something interesting about COMMunity coin, it is quite widely distributed, and established PoS. Of all the Scrypt PoS coins I would say it is in the top 10% of survivors.
