POS is working fine here... I have had no problems staking with any version of the supercoin wallet...

Good to hear gnarl. Am I right that staking needs to be done 24:7? If you have like 8 hours downtime then that probably delays the next day of staked coins by 8 hours or more.

Unfortunately that happened to me last night as Windows update restarted the computer (I disabled that now). Anyway once I have 48 hours continuous staking I can start seeing if I am being paid out properly. gnarl should we be receiving 100%/365 per day in interest?

48 hours with an open wallet will certainly give you 2 (days)/365 * 100% of your coins, provided your internet and CPU is reasonable.
Staking is probability driven, like mining, so over a long period you will get the quoted rate. 24/7 opening is not essential, just reasonable regularity is desirable.

Give me all your super

I will hold mine for now, thanks !

Even the DRK thread is full of FUD right now ! It seems many holders don't have the courage of their convictions. I have seen the same patterns dozens of times in around 100 different coins over the past 15 months.
1504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live in V2.1.2 PoS Superblocks SUPER FAST TX! on: July 02, 2014, 11:00:27 PM
It's easy to speak about but hard to do. We are working on phase-2 but this is a very complex task, we are at this time test all the functions related to the multi signature features.

Thanks for your great work. Stick to the original plan and give regular updates, even if not much to say. Some posters get nervous at temporary price fluctuations, they need reassurance, but try to ignore FUD: you are doing an excellent innovation job, and that is what gives Super it's long term value.

Question about the stake...

So its 10% annually. And it takes 10 days for the coins to mature... So does that mean that after 10 days, the coins I have put in my wallet will mature and give a 10% return? Then I have to wait 12 months for another 10% return?

Am I understanding this correctly?

Nope...

Every 10 days  = 10/365  *10%

..if you leave 20 days without staking, then its 20/365 *10%, or 17 days =17/365 etc and so on, but only up to the max coin age.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live in V2.1.2 PoS Superblocks SUPER FAST TX! on: July 02, 2014, 12:05:55 PM

Ok, so it is doing what it is meant to. Shame, I had expected a rise in the mining payments going from 1200 to 24292. I never see any coins shown as staked. My wallet is not encrypted yet till I understand how to use it better.

Several issues can affect staking, including CPU power, connectivity, size of chunks. All your stake entitlement should come through eventually, but if you are using a reasonable CPU and internet connection, and your wallet has been open several days continuously, most coins should have staked.

On 25k coins, you would expect to receive a total stake of ~65 coins per day on average (but split into small parts)

Click 'Send Coins' in main screen.

Click 'Inputs'

Your balance is shown in the lower part of the screen, preceded by a number in brackets. (the number of chunks your balance is split into)What is that number ??

I don't see that. I have selected all and clicked ok and now the amount shows the total number of coins 24295 quantity 28 priority highest

The radio button at the top should, by default be selected as 'tree mode'…. Select 'list mode', and you will then see a list of every 'chunk', together with the date it entered the wallet, and the number of confirmations at the right.

Yes, I see that. Most of them have confirmatioms over 2000, smallest one is 91 but that is on its own, all the others are in the thousands

If you have less than approx 30 lines (chunks), you probably don't need to consolidate. What are the smallest numbers of coins in a chunk ?

My wallet doesn't seem to be doing a lot of staking. I'm getting dust payments through but they are the same size and frequency now with 25000 super as they were with 1200. Any suggestions/info would be appreciated. 25000 coins have been in wallet since mint and bittrex re-opened.

Are you using Coin Control to consolidate the spends/chunks in your wallet ?

No, i don't understand coin control. I saw your post earlier about it but I cant see anything in the wallet relating to it. Advice would be appreciated, thanks

Firstly, click 'send coins' in the wallet.: do you see an 'inputs' button ?

Err, no. what does it look like? Cant see anything there about 'inputs. I'm running 2.1.2

It is a large rectangular button in upper left of the screen. I guess Coin Control is not activated in your wallet.

I am using 1.4.2.  The coin control is activated by default in 142, but 212 has Supersend.

Go to 'Settings', 'options', 'Display'  'Display Coin Control Features'

Each time I stake new coins, how long do I need to wait for the new coins to mature before I can stake again?

50 confirms plus 24 hours.

I have written a guide to PoS and wallet control, which I can add to the new website.

DEV, are we going to use this website? Huh

http://supercoin.pahlkemedia.com/

Website comments:

1.  Logo needs to be this one https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fs1.uploads.im%2Fp4gcJ.png&t=541&c=nReV3JNA6K9_Xg

2. Change Vision text font (or try lower case). My version:  (community please read and comment)

Our ultimate goal is to create a peer-to-peer and completely de-centralized anonymous payment system.  Payments are sent through the network using a novel system of trusted nodes, thus utilising a mixed Trust/Trustless format. Any node can become an intermediate „mixing” node, if some minimum requirements are satisfied. There are no central control parts. Everything is peer-to-peer and de-centralized.

3. Client Configuration:   List the nodes for the initial config file, rather than supplying a link, which can be seen as a security issue.

I can redraft and write more content, depending on community and dev. approval

people that want to invest in this coin will go and read this thread.

if you got a position in supercoin its best to promote it in a positive way.

yes, i have been fudding. first i knew what was gonna happen and secondly to get coins back at a bottom price. now that phase has passed and i fud no more in this thread ( unless people give me reason to ).

keep the vibe somewhat positive and the thread alive and it might see 10k again.

dev, you need to deliver on the trustless system... if you fail on this, it might be the end of the coin ( short-medium term ).

thats the final word.

It was 40+ days since the coin launch, we just start, and the dev do so well in this short time. There are many things to do, we need grow stablely.
Thanks the dev, we are patient, not like the fuds and new people, they don't know the coin and the comunity, they just want get money in short time.

+1

Yes, excellent progress in 40 days. Technically, the dev has delivered very well. He is also patient and well balanced in outlook.

Please report messages promoting other crypto coins, this is supercoin thread and let's keep it so!

+1

Report messages using the 'Report' button (to Bitcointalk mods). That is a common use of the facility, otherwise all threads would be promotions for spammers coins.

can anyone help with this?:

addnode 85.25.201.132 add

Method not found (code -32601)

Only the dev can with a wallet update that has those functions.

well, my newly installed wallet is not syncing.
How do I fix that then if I cannot add nodes?

Is that addnode in your .conf file ? I dont see how you got that message. The .conf file should just sit passively in your Super folder in 'roaming'.

i think we will go back up very quick when we do , think about it , thats the price we had before mintpal and before supersnd ...

Probably will. My own target for the low still remains 2k sat, and I think the rebound will get back to 6k very quickly. Timescale ? Around beginning of August.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Anonymous Wallet Live in V2.1.2 PoS Superblocks SUPER FAST TX! on: July 01, 2014, 01:57:30 PM
I would first like to say thank you to the devs who worked so hard over the last few days to sort out the forked chain issues.
Once you guys get your rest and can start fresh, here are some of the things that could be done to improve. Smiley

1. New website. (I know you are already on this)
2. Better outlined plans & Time/Date ETAs with disclaimer. (Makes current investors stay and brings in new investors)
3. Possible new features outside of anon that could improve network security or make Supercoin "more" unique & a stand out.

Dev's confidence results into investor's confidence.
So more informative posts can help big time. Grin

1 we are working on New website, pmed someone from community
2 multipool Paying with super coming soon last page being done
3 SuperSend is already very secure, we may need to make it more advertise because few people used it
4 Phase2, andorid wallet, shopping api etc plans are so many and takes time.

Hi everyone, back again...please have a look at the site I'm working on....actually its 99% completed by now...the logo i did is some sort of evolution, not a revolution Smiley...not a must, maybe something to think and talk about....

http://supercoin.pahlkemedia.com/

as you can see the site is pretty much done except the twitter feeds....but that's not a big deal...

I'm not asking any money for the website form the dev!

donations are welcome dudes as soon as the dev decides to use this site....

Sgy475mmP7bChpqEkd93PaZiz4WvvdAKos

In think this is all about community...maybe this helps to support supercoin a little bit...Smiley
cheers

Please leave feedback so we can own this design.

1.  The wallet version 1.4.2 (your link text) is actually WITHOUT Supersend (now amended)

2.  The  main block of text 'Vision' (in Caps) could do with being in a gentler font, and lower case might look better (Verdana, Sylfaen etc)

3.  Best to use the main logo (as on OP) .

4.  There are a few minor syntax revisions. I can rewrite each part of the text in a professionally clear manner (without changing the meaning or content)

buy support growing @2k ... this will be the floor

Seems like it. 2k was the floor I suggested a few days ago. I also have some buys in the 3ks just in case it doesn't get to 2k.
