Stop selling so low peeps. Let the value gp up where it belongs! Smiley

Let them sell. The market should be free, people make their own decisions.

And another good thing is that this whale has nice hashing power... but he doesnt dump... thats a good sign...if they mature...
they dont mature all off them simultaneously... so its not a problem for now...

I think I would prefer that he dump now. It would be painful, but at least we would not have to worry about him in the future.

Bring on the dump... I am waiting for some really cheap ECC  !
2003  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN][THOR] THORCOIN | ASIC RESISTANT | NFACTOR | EXCHANGES | GAMES | CONTEST★★ on: April 11, 2014, 01:28:36 PM
Hi All,
Hope you’re well.

I’ve got 183,961,050 THOR that I bought on CryptoRush as I “Rushed” to escape its crypto eating jaws.  Whilst THOR seems a great coin it’s not one I’m looking to pursue, so it seems a shame that I’m holding when someone more invested would much prefer them in their pocket  Wink

The exchanges aren’t any use to me because the lowest BTC rate is 1 satoshi, which THOR is currently selling at, and I’d like to offer a more competitive price so all are happy and all can move on.

To this end, I’m offering my THOR at a rate of 0.5 satoshi.  If anyone’s interested please PM me.

Hopefully we can help each other out  Cheesy

THOR trades in LTC    https://cryptorush.in/index.php?p=trading&m=THOR&b=LTC

For your 183m you would get  ~6LTC at these volume/bid prices. On a P2P sale you should get a bit more. At top bid, 7 Litesatoshi , its 13 LTC.

If you don't find another bidder, let me know and I will take them for 0.15 (BTC) Satoshi each (about 6 Litesat)

Official announcement from Vault of Satoshi.

This is huge news for both the Cryptogenic Bullion Community as well as Vault of Satoshi!

We encourage everyone to consider switching from their current exchange to Vault of Satoshi. Let's get some volume going! Crypto-crypto markets are also available!

Stay tuned for a promotional giveaway to be announced as well as a paper outlining the evolution of the financial services industry to support the new crypto-economy!

Yes!!! very good news!! I'm hoping that the total crypto scene will get out of the depressing period it has been in lately.. what are the thoughts of you guys how the crypto scene will develop the coming months?

I would guess the whole crypto market will look depressed for some time to come. Many people will give up and abandon their coins as prices fall to very low levels : a mass extinction, as I have been forecasting for a few months... The ones that survive the ice-age will grow and prosper as there will be less competition.

Why is this coin trading so low? Huh
I got quite a bit and dont really know if I should keep it.

OK, so would that be working on the old principle of 'Buy High, Sell Low'    ?

so coin dead???

Coin is in hibernation: seed pod, or like alien egg.  It does not die, but can stay dormant until revived by some visitor in the distant future.
2007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Major Release ready! Version 1.4. Stake For Charity. on: April 09, 2014, 12:01:23 PM
1.4 running fine. I just wish the startup time was faster. Loading block index takes forever.

All PoS coins are slow startups. HBN has a lot of extra wallet features, and that is worth the wait.

Moral here : Shut the wallet down less often: leave it running as much as possible.
2008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Fast High Yield Stake - Advanced Wallet - Fun Community on: April 09, 2014, 11:38:00 AM

I have that up and running now , staking well !

One comment: The Coin Control time seems to be in UTC , whereas Transaction times are set to local clock. Is that a deliberate feature ?

@Hostmaster: Are you aware of this problem with Bitcoin wallets? Since altcoin wallets are based on Bitcoin wallets does it affect us?

I can't figure out from this whether it would or not or if it would be just with certain compiles.

"The payment protocol only exists in 0.9." -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=562400.msg6133034#msg6133034

we use  openssl 1.0.1e. The issue is related  on ssl depended applications, and those known secure, understood not anymore.

A number of coins have dealt with the OpenSSL issue already.

Does it mean that ECC does not need to upgrade the wallet yet ?  A number of useful improvements can be made to the wallet at some time in the future.
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Fast High Yield Stake - Advanced Wallet - Fun Community on: April 08, 2014, 10:33:19 PM
Hey I just wanted to let every know I will be releasing v1.4 tonight. To fix the open ssl bug. I would suggest everyone upgrade ASAP.

There was some more things I wanted to get done, but we'll be working on it for v1.5 along with some hard forks.  Big discussion later.

Exciting news, then !
Your wallet work is particularly impressive: that would have been a daunting task for some developers.

I have been a supporter (and holder) of a number of PoS coins over some time, and have watched them develop (for better and worse in some cases) with interest. We will no doubt get a lot of varying viewpoints in the run-up to hard forks.

I bet if you had combined blocks your pent 4 would have been fine.

OK, thanks for the info. .. Maybe it is a silly question, but this got me wondering:

If I have the same addresses in wallets open on different machines at the same time, would the faster CPU get all the stake ? .. or would there be any other curious consequences ?
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: HoboNickels - HBN - Fast High Yield Stake - Advanced Wallet - Fun Community on: April 08, 2014, 09:57:54 PM
I have some different minting problems (all stakes are now rejected) as per my posts in this thread....I am not sure if any of the other problems are related...Confused !

Well lets go over a few things.

1) What os and version?
2) What wallet version?
3) Are you up to speed with the block chain?
4) Is the gui responsive?
5) Is your computer clock correct?
6) have you tried starting with -reservebalance=1000 where 1000 is 1/2 your coins?

Thanks for the response: Now I seem to have solved the issues, by creating a fresh instal on a different machine. I believe the CPU performance may be the issue on other machines.  All are Win7, 1.3.1, other things check out of course (except res. bal which I didn't try)

I was using an AMD Athlon, then an alternative, and now an Athlon 2 Quad Core, but I now realise that the alternative machine had only an old Pentium 4 !

I have about 40 QT wallets for different coins, but mostly they are installed on better machines . Now I will make sure HBN runs on something suitable.

Incidentally it might be instructive to note that the Pentium 4 seemed to cope well until just a few weeks ago.

Just a consequence of having 14 computers kicking around over 10 years, and losing track of the specs. and upgrades !

Our FB ads starting soon.

Recommend using the subtext 'Energy Conservation Coin' in campaigns. Letters alone are harder for people to remember, and get confused with other Cryptos.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★ [ANN] ECCoin (ECC) ★★ Final 13 Days of Mining ★★ ECC Updated 1.3 on: April 08, 2014, 04:19:56 PM
I meant the OP, like BTC - Bitcoin, ECC - Ecologicalcoin . Or, if you want to keep it as ECCoin, then add to the title "ECCoin - The Ecological Cryptocoin. Protect the natural resources." (or something better that you may decide). This way it will be clear why this coin was born, without even the need of reading the description. Personally, I visit a new coin thread  if the title captures my interest first.

Hard to name it really, i prefer waiting little bit see which one most liked. I'll update OP later time.

The lack of a name may be holding this coin back at present.  I think it would be a good idea to insert a subtext/title like  'EC Coin - The E-Commerce, Energy Conservation Cryptocoin'

That subtext does represent the properties of the coin.

I have been holding HBN for over 6 months now, and the staking was working quite well (always a few orphans while synching up) until about a week ago. Since then my wallet has attempted to stake over 40 blocks, with only one having been accepted on the network. I noticed that there was frequently one confirmation, with the stake block being transferred into unconfirmed, only to be transferred out again, and the stake lost, rather strange.

I was using Windows QT 1.3.0, then 1.3.1, and have also tried 1.3.6 .. Synching seems very slow as well (taken 28 hours to download the whole blockchain). I am opening the wallet for long periods, but shut down every now and then (at least once a day).

Any suggestions welcomed !

I had a look at Coin Control. as there are only 266 blocks in the wallet, I would guess combining will not help ?

The wallet is no longer updating the transaction list. The last one was on 6 April. Since then stake has showed up as incoming, with the relevant mother block being transferred to the unconfirmed balance briefly, before being transferred back and the stake lost: now without any record of that showing in the transaction list.

This is 1.3.6 , with a fresh download of the blockchain (which took 28 hours)

Just a heads up, the "Buy ECCoin" button on the home page of eccoin.cc is broken.

Great job hostmaster being involved! I'd love to get an invite to the multipool Wink
What do you mean? You make sure press F5 or clear browser cache. Because it works on my site it connects to www.atomic-trade.com

The website was down for about an hour but it's back up now.

Why does the link go to atomic trade?  I can't see the buy/sells or activity but is it more active then mintpal which is about 10 BTC a day?
Atomic-trade allow USD currency, i think there are people who has only USD to buy ECC. So it's linked there. If you see server down, make sure to use VPN from different country. Because we use CDN it maybe down at one country maybe up at another country. For free vpn i recommend https://zenmate.com/

Atomic Trade has no volume. Total order book on the buy side is 0.05 BTC atm. Mintpal is the serious exchange, there should be a link to there at least.

Have you tried coin control yet to combine your blocks? If you never did and been staking for 6 months, you might be up for the job.  You might have too many/too small blocks and when they compete on the network they just don't have enough weight against other mature blocks.  So even if they will eventually stake, you get a few orphans along the way.

Thanks.. I haven't used coin control.. I will have a look at it.

Due to many negative reasons Q2C has not chance to repeat success of QRK. But you can continue to believe in Q2C, who knows...
