Supercoin was selected by Cryptsy. It must have some merits.

All have problems with a wallet? There is no synchronization how to solve?
Wait for the new wallet.

The coin facts do signify that the community is stable. I believe we are approaching a low, so any new bloods to HBN like me should keep buying them up! Mine away too. Tranz is one of the best devs I've seen in my short time here and it's been proven this coin isn't going anywhere.
Tranz is very competent . An expansion of the user base and visibility in any coin always leads to great demands and pressures on the dev. (and not just from coding work). I would always favour low-key development and fine tuning of technicals, until there is a big team on the coding and promotion side.

I set up a github org as a “safe house” that would better support common ownership and direction of the resources and intellectual property - https://github.com/qubitcoin-project (feel free to request membership). I made forks of the original qubitcoin github repos and added QubitCoinQ2C which is the 0.8.4.1 version (well, based on an 0.8.3 version of SIFcoin, actually) merged up to the latest in the bitcoin 0.8 series, 0.8.6. I added a plot of the difficulty to decorate the overview page; something to look at whilst syncing --- but a fishtank screensaver would probably be more effective. Comme ci: After a bit more tinkering and some prettification, I'll release PC & OS X binaries. Cheers Graham Good work, novel features in the wallet really distinguish a coin ! Q2C is alive , but might be considered dormant in the promotional sense. It is amongst a large number of competing currencies, but the technicals are way superior. That only leads to real success if adoption/promotion is forthcoming, and those can happen at any time if the right people get involved.

Awesome summary jakiman I see this time and time again, people fudding to buy lower and they are just hurting themselves. What's going to happen when you fud and the coin doesn't recover? You lose. What we need is to reflect on the positives and Supercoin is a great coin. Devs are human w/ day jobs, familes, kids, normal people doing this without any payment. We should support them and help where we can.As you can see jakiman's post has turned the market and it doesn't take much at all (not to discount your post jakiman ). We should all be taking to tweeter and tweet something positive with the #supercoin tag. And I promise you the market will continue to turn. And let's be realistic here, we will not see 15k, 20k, 30k without phase #2 and we don't want it before hand because it'll just be pure pump and dump. What we want is organise growth, simple supply and demand. Once market starts picking up, new investors will come and market will take care of it self. Thanks! I agree with you totally. It doesn't take much to regain momentum that Supercoin once had. Its current market cap is only $235k!! At worst, it should be double that and or more. So yeah, this is like deva vu of 2 weeks ago. Start promoting it people. Money will come. At the end, marketing alone can only take the coin so far. Just look at VRC. It's also tanking badly. Crypto people prefer good technology. Unique coin. Good coding skills. Supercoin has them. At 235k cap it is just option money. The option is more likely a Market Cap of several million, and the risk/reward is 100% loss against 1000% gain. ...and that is not just an out and out gamble, because Supercoin has the right ingredients, unlike the majority of alts. That does not of course guarantee success, but it makes it one to hold in the portfolio.

panic sell Come on guys, the way to the moon is in the opposite side Have to accumulate more cheap coins first. While the weak hands respond so predictably to FUD , the strong hands can quietly build their holdings. Super is amazingly fast. I opened my wallet this afternoon, and the 30 chunks of coin had all staked within 20 minutes. All fully confirmed (50+ confirmations) after 30 minutes.

@Tranz: Anything new in store for HoboNickels?
We should have an Active HBN irc channel with tip bots. lets get going guys.
Actually the fork for CAPs just completed, and so far so good. (Knock Knock). So here soon I will continue further development for HBN version 1.5. I have a few things planned, but I would love to hear from the community on what you guys would like to see.. An original idea added to the wallet graphics might work wonders. Anything specific you had in mind or just a fresh gui? A GUI which gets further away from the look of the generic cryptocurrency wallet. Custom coloring and design , friendly and easy aesthetics, maybe an option to incorporate a name screen ( 'Welcome back Tranz' etc, and avatar). I know this will take a bit of design skill, but it will be a strong driver in: A. Distinguishing HBN from other coins. B. Encouraging adoption and network support. The right GUI can persuade users to open the wallet more frequently and say to their friends 'Hey, look at this'

Well. i come here everyday.. and the only thing i see is babies crying fuding with no actuall reason.. what would you expect? a proffesional investor whale..would me interested in a thread like this? Its like a gossip show.. and nothing more...
Dev, create a new thread and for these matso men... to go and fight there... its supposed to be a forum of discussion and improvement, opinions... and all i can see is 5 nicknames filling the last 50 pages.. for what? for nothing... cry babies fighting for no reason to each other....
Do you really think there even a small change for this coin to grow.. where in its thread there are only stupid people fighting each other... with the end result, who has the bigger dick...
get serious... point out ideas, innovations.. the dev can make them... 10 brains and 20 eyes are better than one pair... Most of the trolls, are participating in almost every coin.. they know their weaknesees and limitations... they know whats missing...they propably have new ideas... from all that search...and they only do what? fud? for what? you dont want something to grow nice and become a success? for what reason? Its like the sexiest girl dumped you... and now suddenly you present her to be the ugliest woman in the planet...
Yes. A self moderated thread , with a draconian policy of troll removal is essential. Liberality is nice in theory, but there are hundreds of competitors out there, and cram-down is inevitable.

BTW, I notice that, in coin control ,the 'weight' column is something that I do not see in most other PoS coins (I run wallets for around 30 different PoS currencies), even though it could be easily copied. For that reason I would guess that HBN is not being too closely followed atm by other PoS devs, and you could bear that in mind when innovating (a head-start could be achieved if the right progressive innovation is adopted) I hope that makes sense to you : it is a tactical observation, rather than a specific suggestion.

I don't see why people should not use any crypto to buy physical bullions and let it be stored somewhere else, that's their choice. Basically it's the same as using an online wallet service or storing coins on an exchange, not that I would recommend it but many do so. CGB fits the trade as soon as the price is more appreciated. If a company wants to buy a large load with CGB but needs to buy 25% of all existing CGB's for it... that's not realistic but when marketcap is beyond US$25 mil then he only has to buy 0.25% of all existing CGB's and that could happen more easy Fractional-reserve banking is not a good idea though if that's what you meant. That sort of service would only have a real impact if it was offering some advantage over other methods of acquiring bullion e.g. Specially Trusted storage of phyz PM, anonymous end-to-end transactions etc..

so bought this coin at 0.00011, invested 2.5 btc, now have 0.6 not bad So many people are in lost now, but it's notional lost till we don't book lost, so just keep coin and wait for some good news. +1 Paper loss only. There will be actual losses when the weak hands get out. My predicted target is closer now.

A quick calc and I'm guessing Cash has about 151MH/s on it at the moment
Ideally it would be nice to see it at over 1GH but that won't happen without marketing. The dev has been MIA for over 2 months now so I think he's due for an appearance again. If he's reached his personal target then he'll stay for good and make good on his original promises. I'm new to the forum. I've been watching CASH for a month and was getting ready to dive in as it approached 400. What concerns me is that the bots that were used earlier to push the price down, seem to be pushing the price up. what do you think Vlad? Think they bought enough and the pump has begun? It's hard to say, it could be another new guy to CASH, like I was a month ago. I have told numerous people that I think CASH has a 10+ fold potential. That said, I too thought I noticed bot activity trying to push the price up. At 500 Sats and lower I think this coin is a steal so I would be a buyer if nothing else than just to diversify. If we get that big crypto boom this month, CASH can literally go up 100 fold due to a great name (which new investors are attracted to) but most importantly, a very low float which means people will have a hard time finding any coins for sale. But I still wish the current inflation could be cut in half from the current 1 million coins per month - that's still very high. So maybe CASH will catch a huge break with perfect timing of this next boom. IMO the cutting of supply/inflation has the opposite effect of it's proponents intention. A coin is more likely to die from lack of supply than oversupply. The logic is this ; The only route to an increasing price is 'new' buyers ie additional money which had not intended to trade the coin before. How is that attracted ? Fundamental and technical excellence alone will not do that. The most frequent route to new holders is plentiful or cheap supply: once someone becomes a holder albeit their initial cost was minimal, they are more likely to commit further money. You can see this is true if you look at the way Cryptos are distributed: Free IPO's, faucets etc.. It is also the reason many seemingly fundamentally useless coins succeed in promotions, by giving away or pushing ownership at a subsidised rate. Therefore I believe PoS and/or PoW should be high in the early years. Bitcoin did just that.

Its been like 15 hours already.Hopefully it will propagate today. And you guys start mining.
Good work... it will take a while for miners to start, but should build up.

I mean I don't understand locking the wallet and waiting 10 days and unlocking it. It only makes sense to me to keep all the coins in an unencrypted wallet all the time to get the most out of staking.
Locking the wallet is just for security. I get the most from Pos coins by opening wallets often. I have to open in rotation, because I have over 30 different PoS coins, and tend not to be staking more than 2 or 3 at a time, but you will get a little more stake by leaving the wallet open.

How many bought bought between 10 And 16k And sols under 5k... What a lose ! Yup i've bought at 8k. But still staking until 50k minimum :p
some people just take the loss... It's a tough market, unfortunately controlled by a few sharks with big BTCs. Before in cryptsy chat, they "announce" the pumps. Now I have no idea where they coordinate the actions. These traders... What rubbish its only a loss if they sell under what they bought for, those that do obviously should not be gambling because thats what they are doing +1 If people are trading on such short term movements, then they are not interested in the fundamentals and have no place on this thread talking about price.

Yeah.. FUD can make you buy cheap coins. It does work. But it also makes it harder to go up after you buy. Some people think just buying cheap fudded coins makes it suddenly go back up when they stop. It doesn't.
That only makes sense in MoMo trading, like algos. If you are Warren Buffet you don't think about that.

6hr chart at BW. Finally seeing some positive signs after the dumps.
Many are bag holders and are ready to dump I'm sure as they bought high and got caught in the whale dumps. But depending on dev's road map & updates, they could all instantly become true supporters bringing in more new investors. Dev's got a lot of people on their shoulders right now weighing them down. If you want it to go up, DON'T weigh them down.
The dev is not too affected, and knows FUD when he sees it. You are right, true supporters do not complain like that.
