What is difference between 1) fill the form or 2) send PM? You will get ten times more low quality PM than right filled forms.

In some kind samysamy1 is a firewall for developer.
[/quote]

I wrote a note for the reconsider form. Dev is sending stakes out right now, to people who qualify/deserve them. The simple point is COMMunity members are selected.

Any argument on the thread is counter productive, and the dev's decision (with advice and recommendations from a few others, dev is not a despot) is final. Those are the rules. If anyone doesn't like them, then COMM is not for them and they are not for COMM. There are other coins with different rules...plenty of choice !

STOP

Problem:
The dev can't use the form anymore, because as soon as he puts on a button he receives loads of junk applications.

Solution:
Only the best COMM supporters/leaders will qualify and they will receive stake as quickly as possible. The rest will be held for bounties.

What you have to do:
If you think you qualify just pm me and explain what you did for COMM and why you deverse a stake (with proof to links in this thread or outside this thread.)
If I see that you are quallified I will recommend you to the dev, but do not expect any response from me about your particular situation as I'm not the one who takes the final decision.

Edit: Also tell me if you have received stake before or not and send me your Comm address to check out your coins.

Everyone happy Grin ?

Finally a good solution.
Yes i recommended this solution, because this is workable for me and i believe it benefits more good of all of community members. It rewards productivity. it also opens a new gate for those who never had a chance to apply.
Does this concerns actual stakeholders or just people who weren't able to get any ?

Both possibly.... Probably just tying to give a wider distribution to active people. ..

new people can Apply COMM?

Not now.  Buy some.

How new website doing?

I don't want to go through those spam pages, but I remember that website will be ready @ Friday

If people cannot be bothered to read this thread, they surely understand how difficult it is for the dev to respond quickly to all the conflicting questions about distribution.

Give it time. This will all be fine .. However, it must be said that an active thread creates excitement ! (oh, and any dumping gives a great buying opportunity)
1845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | BTER - MINTPAL on: April 23, 2014, 10:33:48 AM
I have requested information and addresses for

1 Distributions

2. Coins left with dev. (and who is in control of them)

There will need to be an audit, but first the dev suggests distributing what is left.

Panickers have sold coins already.  Price will go where it goes and is unimportant at this stage.

It will all come out in the wash anyway.
can we have a moderated thread ? This is getting boring all these repost.
If someone has a concern, he can post it, but posting again and again is useless...

ps: I am asking majormax... not saying Majormax is trolling (just to clarify)

The  COMM Forum will be better for sensible discussion. I suggest posters join up there now, it will gradually build up activity... Also need moderators.

Will the moderator of the forum please use this thread to liase with members as well.

Well Guys, we are into the Trolls, Attackers and Whingers phase now. In my experience it lasts a while, but the best response is to get on with some real work.

A good way to avoid getting bogged down in pointless argument is to end distributions here and now, and remaining coins go to the bounties for projects.
Then list all distributions and publish them (with addresses)
I have put that to the devs.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS | BTER - MINTPAL on: April 23, 2014, 01:09:19 AM
I don't think distribute to the not much qualified person is a good choose.
Maybe some of them are the Multi-account cheater ,some of them are just want some quick money . I think it will not benefit the community. We should reserve the coins as rewards to the one who can benefit the community. Such as exchange , casino, shopping ,or some articles. In this way , I think Comm will do much more better than the Doge. The community will get the most benefit.

That is probably the best way. Extending free distribution just encourages whingers and attackers who only want freebies and spend their time on accusations and envy, instead of getting on and doing real work.

The Crypto Community has to have some trust basis.  It is time to move on with that progress.

Guys I will say it one more time in normal sized font so as not to offend, be true to yourself and be true to the ideals this coin supposedly fosters.

The Dev has to complete distribution and give an accounting of that completed distribution or this coin will never see 300 SAT or 200 SAT ever again, you are now at a net worth close to 1 million dollars and you can not rely on anyone simply typing I sent out coins to 430 ppl, the potential for fraud is vast, you have to have it documented both in list form and by the blockchain.

Don't let greed and fear of not getting staked cloud your vision or prevent you from voicing your valid concerns, this will only let the Dev out of this his most basic responsibility, if you do than this coin is a joke and will always be a joke never realizing any potential that was there.

I agree. Dev tells me there are 10m coins left for distribution, but he has 50 people he could send to. Considering distributing 200k to each, but worried about community response.

1.  I don't have proof or audit figures myself.

2. The premise seems reasonable and I am inclined to give benefit of doubt provided there is some evidence eventually.

3. What does the Community think of a last distribution of 200k  to 50 people ?

If this is not agreed what shall the dev do ?

I have seen this sort of situation before, and people fret and get upset , but it gets worked out anyway. I am impartial either way because if I want coins I am going to have to buy some with my BTC.  I have already put in 10x the time value of work for the coins I got.

Who are the 50 people?

That will have to be decided. I don't have a list, I am just floating the general principle.

If its only just 50 people and there are those who didnt get a stake before,I think it will be good to give them some. Also instead of dividing equally the coins should be distributed depending on the activity of the members for community coin.Like if one member didnt do anything he will get 50K and the other member who helped the community in some way wll get much more, like that.

Would you like to make a list of who did what, and how much ? Then post it and get a vote from the community ?

too many weak hand selling cheap sux they should be holding don't the know whales are trying to bring down the price?

It was bound to happen. Doesn't matter longterm really. I mean, nobody should expect everyone to hold forever... the coin needs to get distributed around a bit more before it can go up. Once whales get it, then we can expect pumps. Just ride the waves then until you decide it's time to get off.

Thats right. The next phase of distribution is on the Exchanges. Need some dumps and uneven holdings (which are paid for).

Any controversy over who got what for free etc, and fear of stock overhanging the market is great for that.
1854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CommunityCoin (COMM) Fair & FREE Distribution | Pure PoS |... on: April 23, 2014, 12:14:49 AM

Comes from a lot of button clicking. So many people kept clicking that button...

Yeah they did.  Smiley

And I don't mind admitting that I was surprised at how much voting there was and how quickly. And here I am, working for free on this thing even though in some cases my work is worth what it costs.

As for your question, the most likely reason why it hasn't been answered is that no-one here right now has access to the information you want.

There is no doubt that COMM has Community power. There are always problems at the start of coins, but the ones with biggest community have the best chance of solving them in the long run.

o.k I will upgrade now see what happens..I can't keep my laptop on 24/7 it gets heated up but at least 8 hours a day it's on lol

Laptop : maybe the processor is not able to compete so well with other wallets on the network. Don't worry, you will not lose the stake (unless you move coins to another address), it will just take longer to mint.

I notice COMM has 140BTC of volume on BTER today, and is passing many well established coins.

Don't get too carried away with price, because there is a lot to do. Real value and utility is what the COMMunity is aiming for, and that is not coming overnight. There are plenty of capable members here, and that will become apparent in the months ahead !

COMMunity Creates Value.

As I have said before , COMM's future will depend on how the community takes it forward . Community efforts led to COMM being traded on exchanges and now top postion on Mintpal . But still there is still a lot of work to do and It is just the BEGINNING .

+1

Yes , very early days yet.

The real ideas and value will come in the future, from a quality Community.  All CryptoCurrencies have to pass through many stages to survive and grow.

I have a roadmap derived from my experience in supporting a couple dozen currencies from near-birth to success (and more that haven't made it yet), and know a lot of the pitfalls as well.
I think we may need an official forum like Dogecoin did.

They gathered on our official forum to discuss the major problems.

An official forum is good. It needs someone with experience, so that it can be organised well. It is not enough just to take a standard template, because the as the number of members and posts grows, the threads become confusing and duplicated.
This happened to Quark Forum (where I was an early member)

I also request the dev not to blacklist those appliers.

Applicants are not blacklisted for any other reason than  trolling, obstruction or wasting time and rescources based on their record.

Blacklist is not the correct word ,really.
Please can we now stop wasting community time on pointless semantics   Smiley
