How does staking process work?
Have my wallet open and unlocked?
Have coins in the wallet for longer than 24 hours?
I don't know cause I left my wallet opened and unlocked as it doesnt have a pass at the moment and it did not stake after 2 days 48hrs on mine, left it unlocked and open... I'm on my second incoming Share from mining/staking, so the wallet appears to be operating normal... I confirm this. last two days staking working perfect. Wallet version 1.6.0.0 needed, and has to be synched, unlocked. Smaller amounts of coins take longer and are competing against bigger chunks on the network. |

don`t add MYC ...its a scam! MYC dev holding more than 90% of coins...delist it before too late.
+10000, MYC is end up. Didn't realize dev kept 90% of the coins. I can't delist a coin after it is listed, but as the coin is heavily premined, I don't think anybody wants to buy it. Why my wallet stuck in block 4478? Already 3 hours past, anybody has some idea?

Great! That means ppl can really trade now. Anyway, I'd like to keep my Shares for a long period. And I'd like to buy some cheap Shares if someone dumps. You can buy some very cheap SHARE on Swaphole.com ..although the price of SHARE may well follow other new coins into the ground, when it is distributed. There are 1000 potential sellers , and what is the reason to buy now ? That is a serious question, and if the answer impresses me , I will recommend clients to buy. A coin has to have a real difference from others to hold value in the longer term. |

Why do i have stake but not balance? What am i doing wrong?
When your wallet has minted some stake, the whole balance used for minting (which qualified by virtue of being 1 day old) is transferred to 'stake' section. When 50 confirmations are reached, everything transfers back to 'Balance'. The ageing process then begins again, but you now have two chunks for every one that minted (halved, but with stake added). When they reach 1 day old again, the wallet attempts to mint more stake. The minting is similar to mining, in that it is probabilistic, dependent on a combination size of chunk, age of coins and CPU power. All wallets are competing to find PoS blocks, and those chunks with greatest 'weight' (age*size) have advantage, although everything gets there eventually. |

Can anyone help me get my coins?
The coins have been sent to my wallet, but I cannot gain
access because I cannot get my wallet to sync.
I have read all of the previous posts but I am not
crypto-wallet savvy enough to follow the steps
stated.
I had downloaded the original wallet and opened directly from
the zip file.
When the new wallet was released, I asked for assistance so
I did not lose my wallet address, and was told to simply
download and open the new wallet and everything would be
okay.
I did download the new wallet and opened it from the zip file.
My original receive address is in tact, but my wallet will not
sync so I cannot access or see my coins.
I see people talking about saving a "wallet.dat" file, but I don't
even know where that file would be located.
Is there anyone kind enough to assist me in gaining access to
my coins?
I would be eternally grateful.

Try this: 1. Make sure you are using wallet version 1.6.0.0 2. Copy (and backup) your wallet.dat in a safe place. This is the key to your coins, so don't lose it and dont leave it anywhere someone could gain access. The wallet.dat lives in a folder called 'Sharecoin' which you can find by following the pathway Computer/Localdisk C/users/owner(or your named account)/appdata/roaming (this all assumes you are using windows7, but many other operating systems are similar). (If you have other coin wallets, their .dats are also in their folders under 'roaming', so when you backup, it's best to name the .dat SHAREwallet.dat or similar so you can distinguish them. It still has to be named 'wallet.dat' to open up in its own folder) 3. Delete all the files except wallet.dat from 'sharecoin' folder. 4. Open Sharecoin from the exe (from the zip) as before. Because you deleted the blockchain file, it will redownload it from the beginning. When download is finished, it should be synched. |

You can certainly get a payment without your wallet being opened. But, if your wallet is closed you aren't maintaining the network so you won't get your "interest" or "reward" if you prefer. This is a peer-to-peer coin, there are no miners to verify transactions, so stake holders with their wallets open do that. This is why you get a reward. Because you are helping verify transactions.
+1 , Precisely. This seems to be an overlooked point about PoS coins. The open wallets are the network. If holders want to keep wallets closed most of the time, the coin dies in the long term. Therefore the habit of frequently minting stake needs to be encouraged in all aspects of a currency.. |

this coin confuses me... I typically make money fro mining a coin and selling it... I really can't mine this I have to rely on the choices made by people running pools to mine whatever is going to give me the best nag for the buch and I can tell you from experience they fail pathetically all the time. They're always late to the party. why should I get involved with this coin - my income per Mhs is always higher than any multipool I've ever been involved in - so this coin looks like a losing proposition to me unless someone can convince and show me otherwise - Blackcoin is a great example of a losing proposition  Sharecoin is a proof of stake (PoS) coin. This means that you get "interest" by holding (a stake) of the coins in your wallet. Essentially that is similar to mining. In the first year you will get 30% interest. Interest are essentially newly minted coins. So, if you hold 10,000 coins in your wallet (you have to keep you wallet open) at the end of the first year you will have 13,000 coins. The interest rate goes down every year. This is basically the same as the hash difficulty rising for a proof or work coin like Bitcoin. hth. It is misleading to call it 'Interest'. Better to say 'Reward' (for holding coins and maintaining the network with your wallet open). Stake is paid only when the wallet is open, it is the act of creating new blocks and keeping the network live. |

Yes, good definition. Most Ponzi schemes actually start out with a genuine intention, but either the investment does not give the expected returns (and desperation sets in), or the amount of money subscribed is so large that the temptation to embezzle is too great to resist. Pyramids are usually set up that way from the start. |

OK than, skip exchanges and vote on coin cap websites.. Block Explorer is not working (for me). It is essential to have at least one good Block Explorer (preferably 3). It is not advisable to apply to Coin Cap sites until this is fixed : it shows the coins quality. |

Makes you wonder really how many people sold out like this from 200*-2011? Some people just can't see true value in our Gen, selling something outdated & not thinking in the mind of a collectors price.. We have all made mistakes in life like this, best way to see it is if you think of getting a brand new item & it's worth **** @ the time, then over time isn't worth much at all.. Oh wait, then it turns into a classic/rare item & is worth ***********  Just my 2 SHARE's let them sell to whatever amount they want to sell, the coins should be distributed anyway and it should go to someone know whats the real value of sharecoin, all we need is to do is to help the dev. on what ever help we can possibly do for the future of this coin. cheers!!! +1 This selling is the second stage of distribution. I will never sell my ecc coin for at least two years. Its going to replace alot of alt coins out there. It is the only coin people have not been able to pump. And is resistant to all ddos attacks.
The lack of a pump is really good for the longer term. ECC Community and the active dev is concentrating on real projects that add proper value in the longer term. I will recommend to my clients that they begin to build a holding, as the price will not be speculated for a while. |
