Has anyone figured out what the STAKE: line in the wallet means yet? My guess is that it's the number of coins eligible to earn interest (older than 42 days) but which haven't done it yet, but that's just a guess. Is it necessary to keep the wallet open until that number drops to zero to collect the interest?
Stake line is merely the temporary allocation of the portion of unconfirmed stake. When group of coins generates a stake block, it moves to Unconfirmed (with its stake) until the correct number of confirmations is received. |

Generally, I have a suggestion! Let's distribute the remaining 80M coins among those participants who still have not sold more than 5% of their coins! Then others will think!
This maybe don't help solve the problem. As those dumpers have probably gotten their 2mil stakes. No constrains can affect them. And the dump is not a really "problem", as the COMM price can only increase when most of coins are in several big whales. +1 |

Im a bit confused with the whole POS/Minting I might be way off, but does it work something like this: - The coins need to be in the wallet for 42 days, then you get POS interest? I locked my wallet, but this doesnt affect it right? for POS to continue I need to open my wallet once in every 42 days?
Minting the wallet needs to be unlocked, does the wallet actually need to be open for the minting to work? does coin amount and age still affect the minting?
Its occurred to me that the POS and minting might just be the same thing?! there needs to be a good FAQ on this  thanks for help!! The answer to all your questions is YES. I have been writing consice guides to PoS throughout this thread, and will produce a full Q & A when there is a prominent place to put it. There is a lot of info. and everyone asks different questions. |

lets be realistic there  (sure we never know... but hey) I would expect for the coin same level as BC (higher is highly speculative...) that should give a lower limit at when to sell. (however I hope the 14% expecting to sell at mintpal introduction will bring down the price, so more can be bought at no cost...) lol the same value as bc? many people would be rich already before that happens BC has a really strong active Dev team, with excellent ideas. You have to go and see for yourself if you want to understand how BC is in a different league. COMM has a long way to catch up with that, but it can be done with the right Community action, and it is early days. |

Price is maybe the issue for some.
I would guess that 1c per coin would be a tempting offer for some people to sell part of their stake. That values COMM at Total of $8mil.(20x current level)
The next price point could be 50c (about the market cap of Litecoin, and 1000x current price)

There are sell walls at different prices at Poloniex. The first one @139. Stakeholders start to dump, but don't understand that those sell walls keeps people from buying.
Let them sell, distribution is good for the coin Sell 'walls' are not big enough yet. My clients are looking to buy a larger stake. They cannot trade if there is not enough on offer. Poloniex offers more than 10 Million coins up to the price of 200 satoshi. I'm sure you are aware of that though. That is only ~1% of the total COMM. .. and most of it is at the higher end. An offer of 10M at 130 sat (the current trade level) would be welcomed by some buyers. The offers should build up a bit more, until we see some real community development projects. This takes time. |

unless I am somehow misunderstanding the math/logic behind this, wouldn't you make more overall if you had many blocks staking for small amounts several times a day, rather than occasionally doing one medium or large block every day? Because the second you get a new POS reward, it goes back to work for you aging and then eventually staking again... earning compound interest in a sense.
BTW hashcows fixed the hbn withdrawal issue on the multi pool and I got my HBN!
The compounding effect is really no different with smaller blocks. In practice, it is less, because the smaller blocks have a lower probability of staking, therefore take longer for a given coin age: Although there are proportionately more of them, they are using more CPU power (pro-rata), and so there will be a slight throttle on the overall staking speed. |
