Wallet is Windows 1.3.9

My wallet has orphaned every stake block except 1 in the last 48 hours (15 blocks). I am used to orphans happening when syncing, but it is at all times now . Any ideas on what the problem might be ??

There need to be various functionalities in the wallet. These I have noted are very helpful in successful PoS coins, particularly Coin Control.

I mentioned this a couple weeks ago,although there are plenty of other things to do, but we are getting closer to the time when Wallet function will be crucial.

Perhaps somebody could work on some image like this  (Tree Shoot suggesting Growth, Conservation)  The EC looks better as lower case because it is in keeping with internet address protocol, and also reflects the curves of the living thing.

I suggest integrating a TREE symbol of some kind... this represents Growth, Life and Ecology all in one, and would be a powerful association.

I think this question is basically asking for more choice of Currencies (like new coins) in the Multipool switching options, like the others mentioned.

This multipool is not fully complete yet, and options will be very good and unique, but ECC is the main currency intended, things are kept simple to enable superior functions..

ECC has a novel approach to several problems encountered by younger Cryptocurrencies.


Reading this thread (the presentation is raw, because English is not native to several particpants) will show how many ideas there are, and how pragmatic the development will be (flexible strategy in response to changing conditions).  

The code and early stages are similar to Mintcoin (there are small differences, like the PoS %  and the mining taper: small differences can magnify like the butterfly effect). Mintcoin has a a sound foundation, likewise ECC. Mintcoin had a 3% premine, ECC premine was 1%. The minimum coin age for PoS is 20 days Mint and 42 days ECC. The longer coin age is intended to make the PoS more stable, less orphans. The % stake is similar (5% more for ECC) it just has a longer starting age (meaning the PoS coins come in larger batches, but less often)

Another variant for ECC is the focus and commitment of the developers and community. Examples: Getting onto 12 exchanges in 3 weeks from launch, and significant marketing outside the established Cryptocurrency market.

Lastly, the biggest difference is the price. Mintcoin has a cap. value of 3 times ECC , it is 1 month ahead, and ECC is following a similar track.

ECC has a sound code, and a large community. Look at the length of this thread, for a start.


There are a lot of people out there who understand only a part of cryptocurrency genetics. Nothing is perfect, but there are worse and better. This is one of the better.

The price of ECC is very stable. With the supply around I would expect it to have been lower.

The Cryptomarket is weak generally, and the good coins are the ones that simply remain stable.


ECC will have its price rise around end of April.... until then investors will enjoy picking up cheap coins !

Agree don't need more small exchanges, but some bigger ones would be helpful.

I think we will see large numbers of new exchanges now : be very wary.

The 'business model' / troubles of MtGox, Poloniex, Openex, Cryptorush etc is going to be seen as a great opportunity to accumulate some crypto quickly.

The owner has created a 'debt' to users who lost BTC and DOGE (like Poloniex).. and promises to reopen when security is upgraded.

You can still withdraw coins from Cryptorush (BTC is locked), so a lot of the prices are high, as users are buying alts with their BTC.
