Well, ECCoin itself doesn't require a lot of electricity in order to exist. But i agree that is wrong to keep promoting the multipools as a way of saving the environment. How??  need a better approach at this. People aren't stupid i don think so. But unless community member brings better idea i will go for it. You do better one we can use it no problem. See the big picture we mine only others we sell only others we buy only ECC chain reaction, if we mine all pow coins we will sell all pow ones... and they sold cheap and then we buy expensive ECC get the idea? multi pools clean pow coins and their survival greatly lessened. Same as we had problems in ECC those guys mined easy ECC dumped it fast. We dont know them, never seen their faces on voting, sponsoring activites, Ghost dumpers etc. ECC multi pools here to reverse this effect. and if we mine good that's why we save trees... it's actually very true! think again... Also mining ecc is better than other PoS because we have put goals there we will support ecological activities for real. I dont expect this understood soon but you will see & live it. Most of people here thinking on profit only. But actually you want better ideas and long surviving the eco system in long term. ECC or other next coins are trying to address more problems and they are more in communication with nature. Because they see without nature protected enough we living in, we all poor losers. Very, its very wrong idea (or trick) of mining, and its cursed to lose, yes it was effective for some time, you all see it decreasing prices... No more mining profitable. Now thanks to satoshi we can/should better produce ideas of future "fair delivery" problem. I always understood this, and it is true... but it only matters to the wide world atm. Crypto people are at the cutting edge of technology, and work on many other arcane ideas. Also, the energy used in PoW Cryptos (mainly Bitcoin of course) is still very tiny relative to other global industries. Even an increase of x100 would still leave it very small. |

I think it would be better if we try to get Comm accepted on marketplaces and (online) shops who have are already using Bitcoin and other altcoins. Shall we make a list and someone with better communication knowledge contact them? Why is it so quiet here? When we were voting there were more people around  Yeah, there was some free stuff to get. Of course it's a bit more quiet after the inital onslaught. On top of that the place started as amateurish as it gets. We have some members working on this thing though. You for example. Getting the coin accepted on marketplaces is something we need to do. It's not my thing though. I can cast some votes here and there, but won't do marketing stuff. Thats not mine. The price will get a bump again when we produce more news. The more the better. I will follow the lead of the hot and cold private key system. Being able to mint with coins in cold storage is a serious technological advantage and would give COMM credibility as own currecy.
One important point : Coldstore users have to trust systems and technology more than other people. They are paranoid about security. How can you convince them that changing the way the private key works is going to be secure ? It is the fundamental point of Cryptocurrencies.

Why are you keeping people from buying the ECcoin by saying obvious bullshit like this? A lot of people don't trust coins if it's too obvious that the dev is being dishonest. People know that mining in a pool burns electricity no matter what coin the pool pays out in. You aren't saving trees by doing it. At least some people are going to think, "Look at the lying dev. I don't trust that coin" when they see you say crap like that. At the risk of double posting (didn't see yours) - I say "Right on!" .. Esp when it appears the payout is via a 1bn ECC account...One could come up with some pretty plausible conspiracy theory here..dump-da-dump-da-dump-da-dump. ..And I *was* a supporter. Though I'd still like to hear some explanation for the nonsense tree saving -slash- dumping of premine. That is a point. The ecological thing applies to PoS coins generally. The dev. is sending a message to the wider world about this, so the PR gets confused. |

This is nice but I have a feeling that CommunityCoin logo needs a new slightly more fresh look. Don't you think? I mean the COMM logo at all. You don't change the logo design now. This is the final logo made by another designer, not me. I think it stays as it is. Ok so I let it be, but we both now it could be slightly better  Too early for change. The 'Tripartite' design is a good strong basis. It can be polished later. |

As an answer I want to remind of the fact that in the past BC gone from pump to 200sats. I thought it was dead those days. The BC begining of journey was very wavy. And accidentaly it hit 90 000+ sats in a matter of few days. Ok, I am not comparing BC with COMM, it is better to compare it with Doge and that means it can go even higher. But keep in mind the volatility of cryptocurrency world. This is in our-community, hands to develop, promote, force the coin and generate innovative ideas. Keep up your spirits even when price drops because of stupid dumpers. I will keep my coins. At this price it isn't reasonable to sell anymore. Many thanks to everyone, who have done that great work. This is least to say. Look, step by step, there is building a good infrastructure around COMM. I was very happy to read about reddit tipbot. The brand new website is very good looking, soon there will come Android wallet, I am sure the dev will be found. And all good things are done by community incentive. There are not much coins, where community as a single instance moves the coin forward. I see many things in common with Doge. We can do even better! Work, belief and patience are the milestones. Agree. I cannot believe people make these public posts about price. Interesting : because the distribution was 'free' it means some people will sell without regard to price. The feature proposed would allow to mint with coins in cold storage. Doing this would add an unmatched level of security and convenience to COMM, especially as a long term investment. Surely the coins in coldstore have to be authenticated as belonging to the owner in order to mint stake. The only way to do that is to sign with the private key. The private key to a coldstore address, by definition , can never be online, so doesn't that fundamentally flaw the concept ? |

(this is a general comment not targeting anybody, this is a comment over the mood of the thread...) Yes, just chill a bit, guys. I have had personal attacks like a number of the members here, who are really working hard, and rewards are scant atm. I had my initial distribution same as most others, and I have given away some of that, which is the correct thing to do. I also bought more COMM on exchanges. I wrote the website content, but I don't intend to claim any of the bounty. There are others like me, and we know who we are. Anyone who displays petty (unfounded) envy is only revealing their true character. Most of us don't have any animosity towards anyone, I think a lot of fellow members are doing a fantastic job (I would name them, but don't want to be accused of omitting someone else !!) We know the real rewards of this project are in the future, and COMM is well on track. |

Yes, that is actually a thing. I don't think the coin will get better by simply handing out more COMMs to random people in advance. What is left should be kept for bounties. I'm willing to donate large parts of the COMM I have for Bounties. I pledged and delivered 10K Size chunks in the past and moved on to a 100K Bounty on the forum. I hope others join in and fund some of the projects over there. We obviously have some significant ideas for this coin in general hidden at the official forum. Projects that will refine the coin on a technological level.
Offering significant bounties and incentives in that area will attract techy people. And those actually make the big difference in altcoins.We have great community support, but we need more innovation and functionality. More Beef! This is something that will add functionality and thus value to the coin. We're distributed. Who wanted the coin has it now. Now we have the eyes of large stakeholders looking at the coin and how it will develop. Who dumped, dumped, who bought, bought. Chances are good, that a lot of these large stakeholders are reading this. With a million or two million coins (in some cases more) those people are not rich, but they are large stakeholders nevertheless. And they are quiete bunch by now. I say we keep back the 200K chunks, migrate over to the Forum and discuss in detail and moderated, what to do. No. For my own opinion I don't think there should be any more applications. That stage is done. It is a well estabished normal thing for coins to have bounties which are given for specific tasks. If you are starting a special project, or building/coding something, that is the only reason to get anything now... and it will be for the community to assess the validity of a project. The coin is well distributed now, and the weak holders will sell on exchanges to the stronger hands. |

Even after COMM hit cryptsy the price isnt rising.
Give it time... it will climb. There is definitely interest in the coin! You aint gonna get stinking rich off COMM overnight now... that phase has already passed... Even after COMM hit cryptsy the price isn't falling ! Usually new coins get dumped at first. |
