The one that you can use without having your funds stolen, it's pretty simple. You're going to want to avoid any KYC regulations on any exchanges to, I mean that's if you don't want to have your identity stolen (in case of a breach on their servers)

I'd go ahead and use Binance if I were you. It's a perfect exchange with management that works with their users.

Meh.

I don't think anything like this makes sense when you're thinking about how easy it easy to use this now. If we're going to have to wait years for the LN to actually be bug-free and coming to fruition then it's not going to be worth the time wasted. Bikes are already here, people use their credit cards (or cash) at kiosks to get the bikes. Why do we need Bitcoin for this sort of thing?

Makes no sense to me, and this isn't going to increase adoption. We've just introduced an alternative that isn't going to get used.

I have this thing called empathy, so I tend to put myself in someone else's shoes...

If I was living in some shit-hole country, where US economic policy and/or bombs have devastated my home land... I would think, "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em", and walk my ass to the US with the rest of the caravan

Nobody says that. Anyone can apply for the immigration visa and immigrate to the US legally. 

EXACTLY, You're not entitled to live anywhere besides where you have citizenship. I just don't understand how some people can defend illegals who are completetly trying to bypass the immigration system. That's a complete and utter slap in the face to people who have came to countries legally.

He wants to stop the Caravan because that's the law of the land, it's crazy thinking that a President can't do this sort of thing. I don't get it.

The 14th Amendment, Section 1 begins:

All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside…

Sen. Jacob Howard was the author of the 14th Amendment’s Citizenship Clause. On the floor of the U.S. Senate in 1866, Sen. Howard clarified the meaning of the Citizenship Clause:

This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.

The meaning was not as it is being interpreted as of right now. This is being abused for the 'anchor babies' as Jeb Bush once said!

Very interesting... When I think of the "center-left globalists" who seemed overwhelmingly powerful in Obama's era, I think primarily of Merkel, Obama, Soros, Hillary Clinton, David Cameron, and Trudeau, who are mostly gone or waning. That faction is still very much around, but they seem a lot weaker, and fading.

It makes me a bit uncomfortable, since while I don't like that faction at all, I also don't like the nationalists who seem to be picking up steam. I do very much hope that the EU crashes and burns, though, since the EU is a totally anti-freedom institution run by a small handful of people who want to engineer society to their whims, and having many small independent states tends to provide more total freedom than fewer large ones.

I don't follow German politics much; how do things look there? Will there be any actual change from the status quo? It looks like the Green Party is gaining, but that sounds like a group that would want to just tweak things around the edges, not make major changes.

While this may not be fully correct, I do think that this is a reaction of the policies that were created under the Merkel (and her coalitions) government. Some people feel that the ones that they most align with is with these far right groups (which are crazily picking up steam in Germany of all places.

I don't think we're going to see much real change though, as Germany is typically pretty leftist in all of its polices and these groups show no ability to form a government among people that are just right shifting when it comes to policy.

Probably no real change, just a little closer to the middle from a pretty far left leaning political electorate to begin with.

Not a fan of the EU as well, seems like a pretty horrid system if you're a member state. At least in the sense of giving up your ability to have control over economic legislation (and other things, as we've seen the EU delving into as of current)

Crazy to see, after being at the helm for about 16 years Angela Merkel is going to be stepping down from her position in her own party and then will not be seeking the role of chancellor in the next election.

Not surprising to say the least, after the recent election her coalition government is most likely going to dissolve as the other side has hinted they're going to do. Right (or even far right) leaning parites have seen massive gains as the open borders movement from Angela Merkel is being frowned upon by her voters.

Meh, all of the news media companies have an agenda and have an agenda. It's not something that is only present within one company, or a specific multiple companies, but it's not something that is like that. Each company has their own agenda.

Fox has a right leaning shift.
CNN is left leaning.
Breitbart is VERY FAR RIGHT LEANING.
Occupy Democrats is VERY FAR LEFT LEANING.

I would say the United States will win again.  Brainpower of the all the people (capitalism) will win over the brainpower of a few people (communism).

I think that there is an argument to be made for the Chinese winning -- as they're going to be able to force their companies to produce certain things. I don't think this is something that is present in the US, as companies have no obligation to listen to the US government and would probably win court battles regarding this sort of thing.

If the US military industrial complex took on the task, with payment, and they wanted to do it then the US would win -- if this wasn't the case then the Chinese may be able to win.

Hate speech is a word that is overly used by the media in an attempt to grab more viewers. Yes, some people may actually adhere to whatever standards fit under the umbrella term of 'hate speech' but I do think that definition could be used to paint people are 'racist' or 'misogynistic' or something along those lines.

This is something that has good intentions but could be used for evil. We're going to see this abused in some years, it's going to be a crazy time.

A good step : yes. But it is too limited.
Mediterranean sea or the North Sea or even the Atlantic ocean will always have plastics if someone outside the EU will keep throwing it in the sea even thousands of miles away. Besides, chemicals waste are always trashed in the ocean (without forgetting the greenhouse effect which doesn't exist obviously thanks to the clever and the best potus ever).
I fully support any ban issued against this silent killer and hormones modifiers, BPA iykwim.

Exactly, I would think this is an all or nothing type of legislation. If the rest of the world is going to do it, then so be it I'll support it, but without the rest of the world we're going to have some issues with this legislation working. Yes it's going to work to an extent, but there's only so much that can be done to ensure that there is workable environmental legislation without hurting economies.

Hate to be the guy to ruin all of it, but I do doubt that this sort of thing would ever be possible to occur. Humans are going to form into factions to protect and fight for their own interests, that's just what's going to happen. So even if we were 'decentralized' -- there would still be centralized factions with people supporting them.

Yeah, maybe these would be smaller factions -- but they would form into coalition governments (like we see in parliamentary systems around the world) in order to create government.

I feel this is the shift of people.

I do suppose that this is right. If I couldn't tell that the art I purchased / saw / whatever was created by an AI and it moved me emotionally -- then I wouldn't care in the least.

I wouldn't want to pay top dollar for a piece by a famous artist and then find out that it was created by an AI from machine learning of a particular artist though. If people understand what I'm getting at.

This isn't true, of the United States and it will never be true. We don't have a board of people that are deciding where resources are being used, nor do we have a system where the central government has this much control. Republicans in government usually fight for devolution, or the "the transfer or delegation of power to a lower level, especially by central government to local or regional administration."

So yeah, not a Fascist.

Yeah, this is going to be swift -- both parties are going to get a shit ton of money to reverse this sort of decision with legislation. I do hope that people give their politicans a large outcry to not take money and to vote for the people, but I doubt that's going to happen.

Right to Repair is good for people, obvs not good for monopolistic corporations that want to be able to control their products even when you want to repair them. Which is a horrid thing in my view.

I do not think it will significantly influence blockchain but Brexit definatly will influence GBP/EUR

This right here, we're going to see some sort of movement in the price of bitcoin but it's going to have nothing to do with anything that's going on with Brexit. People don't understand that there is no evidence as of right now showing any correlation between the price of bitcoin and the price of the stock market, or anything along those lines.

So no, it will not.
