261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: December 31, 2023, 01:19:48 PM
Playing online or offline gambling which is more preferable in terms of risk reduction?
Regardless of what you prefer (online or offline casino), you can still become addicted if you're not playing in moderation therefore the risk is the same. But it depends on the gambler itself on what kind of player you are.

Can you control yourself not to overspend? Because if you do then regardless where you play, you can lessen the risk of spending the money that you can't live without. Hence, it's about how you control yourself because online or offline the possibility of becoming addicted is there, it's just depends on us on how we treat gambling.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Gambling Question on Duration of Joy after a win or loss on: December 31, 2023, 08:14:39 AM
No one enjoys losing in gambling.Losing brings our hopes down, it ushers in emotional pain and grumpiness whereas, winning elevates our mood, bringing happiness and excitement. There are games where I have won and after withdrawing my winnings, I am so happy that I give gifted some of it to people around me. This doesn't last for long once the it is out of my hand and minds. I am curious, how long does this joy last after a win or a loss—does it linger until your next bet, lasting the whole day, just 20 minutes, or perhaps 2 hours?
It depends on the amount I think. But usually for me, a few minutes. After I learned to gamble just to entertain myself, winning is like an incentives. Because I have less expectation now to gain in gambling, knowing that how risky it is and it's inevitable to lose your money.

Therefore if you accept this fact before playing, then losing is not a big deal anymore and winning is like a bonus. The reason why I only have a small amount budget for my gambling activity. It's my leisure time after a tiring work.
263  Economy / Gambling / Re: QuitGamble.com - Free Help for Problem Gamblers on: December 31, 2023, 03:35:43 AM
You could actually solve out those problems of your own if you are really just that willing to quit gambling for good. It would really be just that depending into your self control
and discipline towards it.
Yes. It's about your willingness since we should be the first to help ourselves. So if the gambler is really determine to overcome the addiction, it will start by changing what he used to. This includes refraining from using any gadget that can tempt from playing again. It would be best to have an activity that can divert the attention and keep oneself busy. Having someone (or a community)to talk to is always good because that's how you can get a support, but as I have said, willingness is crucial.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: December 31, 2023, 02:09:04 AM
Definitely, the feeling is regret. You will be wondering why you never had the money to bet on the game in the first place. I have been in this situation once before and I could remember that I had the money then but on my way to the betting hub (back then was young and I did not have my own internet device so made use of he local betting hub around where I reside) I lost the money. On the process of finding the money, the time passed so I had to go home and act like nothing happened. The next morning i checked the scores and the game entered. I felt very bitter that day. The feeling of missing out is more annoying than the feeling of losing. However, that day i consoled myself because if the game had lost i would have been happy that i did not play the game. Everything happens for a reason and its not a spiritual thing its just being unfortunate at that point in time.
Even if I can understand in a way those which may feel this way, it is better for them to not harbor those kind of feelings for long, after all it does not make a lot of sense to be that disappointed over something you did not even had the opportunity to do.

Besides if a person can get that disappointed with a bet they did not made, then how disappointed will they get when they make a similar bet and they happen to lose it?
Exactly. You'll only regret missing the bet if it did win, otherwise, it's a relief that you didn't waste your money for nothing. It also happened to me many times in playing Baccarat, but it's my decision not to place a bet even I want to. It's just that, I'd like to see the result first if I chose it. That's why it's gambling, you'll never know what's going to happen next.

Nevertheless, don't dwell in the past and move forward because no matter how regretful you are, it happened already thus you have to accept that fact.
265  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 31, 2023, 01:18:16 AM
Welldone mate , because their is nothing like learning from your own mistake and not just learning but also using it as a means of improving yourself. Gambling is something that everyone needs to thread carefully with because if you take it upon your head to be obsessed with the act then it will definitely ruin you to the very brim and believe me gambling can fuck you up in a very bad way. Anyone that have gotten some kind of experience in gambling will let you know that it's a never a child play to gamble, I mean your mind needs to be strong and ready for whatever that might come your way.

but we must realize, that more novice gamblers who try gambling do not come with such readiness. mostly because of friends' invitations or seeing friends playing and it looks like it's fun, so they try the game.
A more responsible mindset usually occurs after several losses that the player begins to realize on their own. whether he gets benefits from gambling or gets more losses.
Gamblers who became aware of gambling because of friend's recommendation usually play unprepared for the possible outcome of using their money in gambling. They just thought this activity can make their money double in snap. Probably we once have this mindset too when we're just a beginner. But after experiencing it ourselves, we became aware of how it really works and if it is possible to profit or it's meant solely to entertain ourselves.

We have an option on how to treat gambling. But it's a must that we have discipline in order to control ourselves. Because that's often the reason why many gamblers are becoming addicted.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 29, 2023, 07:38:34 AM
Losing a huge amount of money and ended up with huge debt as well are the worst. We often realize our mistakes after we lose our money and it's sad that we have to experienced such before learning something. If only the money is use to invest in Bitcoin (or in other opportunities) the result might be different.

Gambling is never a way to gain money, it is only possible if you're lucky. Therefore it should be treated as a way to entertain ourselves and not to grow our money. I just feel sad for the father who support his son to get a job yet the son didn't value everything he had.
267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we all learnt this 2023 on: December 29, 2023, 03:51:56 AM
👉 Don't take popular opinions as an investment advice.
Indeed. It's not good to rely on other's opinions or suggestions. Exert an effort to gain knowledge because it's crucial and a must thing to do if you're going to invest your hard-earned money. Take their opinions as guide and not as a financial advice. Remember that you're still the one in control to have a positive result when it comes to your investment.

👉 Stop relying on Telegram channels or Reddit groups for trade signals or investment advice.
When I was a newbie I thought this is helpful and reliable. But after experiencing to lose my money, that's how I learned that it is still best to have your own understanding.

👉 Stop over diversification, what I call over diversification is putting your money in every crypto project that comes your way.
Diversifying is not bad. However, don't make it to a point that you're simply adding any projects in your portfolio just because you would like to join the ride of those quite risky coins that likely to give a huge return in a short period. Always DYOR or stick to Bitcoin if you're not certain what projects are good to invest in.
268  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODLers, When Will You Sell? on: December 29, 2023, 01:12:02 AM
I'm a hodler for years already, but it doesn't mean I don't sell when the price is already soaring high. I'm the type who holds Bitcoin for long and when there's an opportunity to take profit, i'm selling some of it. Then will repeat the process if the market is in bearish again. But even i'm selling some, I don't go all in because I still have set target price on when to finally release my Bitcoin.

Holding for long period is a good strategy and the best way to maximize your profit. But there are investors/traders who prefer short term because that's what they think is more suitable for them especially to those who don't have long patience to wait.
269  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone can succeed as a bitcoin trader on: December 28, 2023, 06:05:31 AM
Many persons have shared their bad experiences about trading in general, how they lost their funds, got into debt, even wrecked their finances. That's true trading bears such risk but that should not stop you from trying. In as much as there are successful traders you too can be successful in trading.
I agree. You'll never know unless you try and that's what I did, since I also want to become a trader and be like a pro who's earning good for being a trader. But I think it's not the suitable way for me to earn because it didn't go as planned. It's hard especially if you can't focus due to other activities (could be a daily job) that needs your attention.

But what matter for me is I tried and experience how it is to become a trader. For now, I prefer to just stay being a hodler since I don't have to spend time to monitor the market often.
270  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin or other assets? on: December 28, 2023, 04:03:14 AM
If given the choice, would you prefer to own a luxury watch or invest in bitcoin, digital assets, gold, stocks, or real estate?
When we invest, it's important that we know what we are getting into and has a knowledge about it to become familiar and to know how can we take advantage the opportunity. Well, I know luxury watch is a good investment because I used to watch a luxury collections of the popular personalities here. But it's not my interest (I don't even have a cheap one since im not using watch).

That being said, when it comes to investing, I prefer Bitcoin and gold (real estate is also good but we need a decent capital). Because that's already proven by me as profitable and of course I have knowledge about it.
271  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Help , Sobrang taas ng fee Pano mag send ng mas mababa and fees? on: December 28, 2023, 02:42:24 AM

272  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In The Span Of six months what will make you trust a new casino on: December 27, 2023, 10:34:09 AM
No complaints or scam accusations?
This. One of an indication that the casino is not shady. It takes time to build a reputation. So if within 6 months they can prove their platform is not scam, it's the start of slowly gaining the trust. However we know it's not just the basis and anything can still happen in the future. Thus, it's a must that we always read the reviews of the gamblers playing on the particular site to see if there's a new issue and for us to become updated.

Very responsive representative here?
Well, some reputable casinos don't have an active rep here. But it's a plus point for new casinos if their representative is responsive to address the questions and problems of the gamblers.
273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How many hours is the best time for a gambler to last while gambling? on: December 27, 2023, 08:09:01 AM
In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?
Of course the one who spend long hours in gambling. But there are cases wherein a gambler is able to play for long hours because he/she is fortunate to not get busted early using his/her deposit. I can relate to this because even my set budget is not huge but i'm lucky to win, that's how I can play for hours. 2 hours are the maximum for me because I can't spend so long and chances are you'll lose if ever you are already in profit. IMO, 1-2 hours are the ideal time for playing. But it depends for every gambler since we have different perspective.
274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your feelings if Bitcoin price takes your expectations unaware on: December 27, 2023, 01:13:17 AM
This scenario also happened before although the price is different to your given value. Many investors missed the opportunity because they thought the price will consistently increase and won't plunge unexpectedly. But it's too late before they realized that bullish season is over and the time for accumulation begins.

Well, I also experienced this many times, missed the timing to take profit. A bit disappointed but there's no room for regret since it happened already and it's my decision not to sell. Therefore, the solution is to keep holding or accumulate more using the DCA strategy so you won't mind the price.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should mentally unstable people be allowed to gamble? on: December 26, 2023, 01:01:04 PM
My question now is are there any moral, ethical or legal obligation to bar a person from gambling after physically observing that he is mentally unstable?
Is the way a person dress the basis if he's mentally unstable or not? Because as long as the person is behaving fine I don't think dressing shabbily is an issue (even his appearance is not as presentable as others). In op's story, the gambler act normally. It's just that, those seeing this guy might question his mental condition due to his physical appearance.

Anyway, observing is not enough to bar a person from gambling, it should be proven that he has a mental condition. That's the time they can apply whatever rules they have to protect their business to any violation for letting someone play even he's not in his right mind.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is you who can't stop betting. on: December 26, 2023, 08:20:17 AM
Happy Christmas to all gamblers. I have been reading some threads and comments that many people have been saying that they find it very difficult to stop gambling (not only gambling addicts), but on one hand, I really think that it is not hard to quit gambling even when you are winning and not winning, but it is you who can't control yourself. Bets can not force one to stake, but a gambler can force themselves to stake a bet, even when he or she does not have money to bet. Some gamblers did not learn how to gamble. They just see themselves doing it, but they can't stop it. Why because they can't control themselves, even when they are not an addicted gambler?
What do we have to say about this?
It is not hard to quit gambling if you are not addicted. But in a case wherein a gambler can't control himself, then it means he is already addicted. Regardless of if you are winning or losing, when you are not addicted, then it would be easy to quit since you know how gambling works and aware that losing is inevitable. That being said, we should expect that we're likely to lose our money when we use it to play.

A gambler who are not able to control himself/herself has a gambling problem. You'll know and understand these things if you are a gambler yourself.
277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was your crypto journey this year? on: December 26, 2023, 03:54:40 AM
Good since I made profit overall. Started to invest in Bitcoin at a lowest price this year and able to hold up to now. It's a decent amount already so I take profit to enjoy my earnings this holiday season.

On the other side, I managed to buy additional altcoins too but I prefer to keep holding until I saw a significant growth to the price. They're well-established coins so I don't worry for what lies ahead. Anyway, with the good news circulating in crypto, I think we can look forward for a bright future especially halving is just few months away.

279  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: December 25, 2023, 09:54:51 AM
10 hours left till Lucky draw Cheesy Prepare your tickets or grab new as you still have time for that. I would say that Duelbits, no matter how popular it is, what place among top casinos it takes, is very generous, as they giveaway a million this Christmas. Just think about this number. The main prize of 250k is a life changer for many. And this is the amount other casinos spend on Christmas giveaway/promotion on general.
Indeed. This is what I always look forward during holiday season on Duelbits, their Christmas giveaway. They're consistent every year and generous on giving such prize to their gamblers. Though the chance to win is slim especially if you just have few tickets, still, it's an opportunity and who knows we're meant to be lucky. So good luck to everyone and Merry Christmas.
280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most gamblers do not believe they can consistently make money, that's why... on: December 25, 2023, 08:28:10 AM
If you don't have enough money to gamble and sustain your needs then it is something that you couldn't pull off.
The way I see it making a living from gambling or trading needs a huge amount of capital because we all know that we wouldn't always get a profit from it, we couldn't guarantee a consistent income from it.
There would always be a time that we would lose or couldn't make anything from it.
We are discouraging others to gamble or trade because not everyone is cut off to be in that profession or consider it as their main job.

Gambling can be enjoyable, but it's important to be aware of the risks involved. Just like drinking alcohol, it's easy to become addicted and end up losing a lot of money. To avoid any negative outcomes, it's important to set limits on how much money you're willing to win or lose while gambling. Remember, gambling should not be seen as a source of income because luck is not always on our side. Some people tend to bet higher amounts than they can afford, thinking they can consistently make money from gambling, but this is not a sustainable way to gamble. By setting limits, you can stay in control and prevent any problems from arising.
Gambling is risky and a gambler must take risks otherwise he cannot gamble. The gambler can find pleasure in taking this risk, but he must bet as much as he can afford to lose. A gambler will enjoy gambling as long as he gambles within his capability. This is where you start getting hurt whenever it turns into an addiction. A common mistake in gambling is that gamblers start thinking of it as a source of income and then become addicted and start betting beyond their ability. Since it is uncertain, even if they win on one or two bets, they lose all their money on the next bet. So the gambler must conduct gambling within a limit without getting too greedy.

In most cases, after a good winning streak, a gambler think that way. treating gambling as a good source of income and aggressively throws money in hope that they can continue repeating the outcome but eventually it won't turn into their favor as gambling was design to make money and not as a charity to give gambler a bread and butter place in making profits.

It's always a must that before you take your chance you should have that mentality, knowing the grounds of addiction and how possible it is to happen to you, if you just use money that you can afford to lose, then it's just a normal way of gambling where you can simply move forward after your session ends.
That's why it is advisable to gamble without high expectation of winning. So that even the outcome is not good, you can just easily move on and not dwelling on what happened. If you can do this as a gambler then you can't become addicted since your main desire is not to make money when playing. Because a mindset of making money through gambling is not wise since you're too attached to have a positive outcome. But if you able to profit without expectation, it's more satisfying. Being a gambler who wager in games doesn't give consistent earnings unless you have other ways like as an investor or an owner of a casino.
