261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what currency other than the USD you know the price of Bitcoin by heart? on: April 13, 2024, 02:38:37 AM
Those people don't know what they're talking about, de-dollarization isn't something that only one or a group of countries would be able to pull, this is actually a collective effort that would require the help of all the countries in the world and that's never going to happen because as much as there are enemies to the US, there's also allies to the US and I don't get why they're so mad about the dollar going down in value when that would mean that there's more value for bitcoin and we would get more out of bitcoin and even if the value of dollar goes down, most currencies that would be converting on them would get more out of the dollar. And it's also not because of de-dollarization that has lead to bitcoin becoming more valuable, it's just that there's more demand for bitcoin that the price of it is just increasing. As @Darker45 have mentioned, we'd have seen the dollar fall a long time ago if there's really something like that happening which will never happen because I don't think that the US government would ever want that to happen, they keep on raising the debt ceiling and printing money to prevent that right?
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: April 12, 2024, 09:10:31 AM
I appreciated you because kiddos are so intelligent for discovering new things, and new challenges. Kids want to invent new things. They through the questions for their parents and elders to know more about new things. Also, I have the same experience in this field, I have 2 baby boys. My elder baby boy's age is about 6 years. He is so much creative. I call him Finney. I am so much impressed with the name Harold Finney. For that, I called my 1st baby boy Finney and I called my 2nd baby boy Satoshi. Finney asks me always about Bitcointalk Community and Gambling. Very young age, I noticed his interest much about gambling. But now I'm afraid of him for his curiosity about Gambling. One day he said to me, "He wants to build a new idea or the easiest way to improve bitcointalk gambling community." Everybody in this community, pray for him in your prayers.
Because that's the age where they absorb more information because their brains are like sponges that would absorb those information no matter how trivial it is, that's why kids with trauma during their formative years have a hard time when they're growing up especially if that trauma wasn't dealt with, they remember those stuff that you do to them. Your story is a bit cute but I have to call it out as something really fishy like why does this kid already asking about the forum and the gambling community, pretty sure that you're not talking about it all the time that they'd pick it up easily, I'm really not sure if that's a real thing though, or maybe I'm wrong and you've got a genius kid. I don't know how that kid got interested with gambling but I'm going to tell you that you're either failing as a parent because you've likely exposed them to that, no way that it's all innate.
263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 12, 2024, 08:29:36 AM
Is there anything wrong with that? I mean it's his personal Facebook account, so it's his right to say what he wants to say - whether he encourages people to gamble or not is his personal business and it's his right to say whatever. As long as he doesn't break any laws, I don't think it should be an issue that needs to be discussed. If you feel that it is wrong for him to act like that, then you can confront him and say your view that it is wrong, but you know the consequences and the two of you will definitely have an argument.
Even if that's the case which should be respected, I do think that there's nothing wrong with advising someone about something, it's not like you're manipulating them to do your bidding or force them to do your advise right? There's nothing wrong with that because you're genuinely concerned with what they're doing and at the end of the day, they're the ones in control of what needs to be done so there's nothing wrong with giving an advise even if it's the most unhinge and stupid advise, you can give it out for free without worrying because if they have half a brain, they'd know not to follow that thing that you've said. Maybe the only thing that would matter in terms of gambling advise is that you consider the age of the person that's asking for advise, if they're of the age then go and do it by all means but if it's not then the only advise you can give is to tell them to gamble when they're old enough to have their own money.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrity Poker Games: Publicity Stunt or Genuine Passion? on: April 12, 2024, 07:41:13 AM
No doubt that it's just a publicity stunt, anything that involves a celebrity doing something that's outside of what they usually do that's in the public eye is a publicity stunt, a lot of their fans would definitely want to see their idol celebrity doing something right and it's an easy money for everyone involved because the stunt sells itself with the name of the celebrity involved. There's a reason why a lot of YouTubers and celebrities do this kind of event because they know that it will easily make them money even if some of them do it to donate to charity all of the game's proceeds, that can still count as a tax write off for most of them. I would only consider celebrities doing these games a genuine passion is if they're the kind of people that are open about this and they're famous for these games, that's the time that they're considered to be genuinely passionate about poker and joining these celebrity match ups.
265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: April 12, 2024, 06:36:40 AM
the majority of people who gamble do not achieve anything from their gambling, because most people gamble for fun, not to achieve certain things. maybe there are some gamblers who get a new life from gambling, but if we total it is only a fraction of the number of gamblers globally, not all gamblers can have the same fate as that. even though all gamblers hope to make money from it, not all of them will be lucky, but that doesn't mean that people who gamble and achieve nothing are stupid, it's just that they gamble for fun and there's nothing wrong with that.
We don't know that even if that's the truth that people only gamble for fun, some people might not share their achievements in gambling and they're trying to keep it on the low. But knowing the odds of winning in gambling, there's not a lot of people that have achieved anything of value that's worthy of sharing that involves gambling. Me though, I don't think I've ever had anything that I've achieved with gambling that's significant, most of my wins aren't that a lot of money so I'm not really that proud of them and those wins aren't a frequent occurrence so even if I do become proud of them, the amount of money I've spent gambling comparing that to the total money that I've spent, it's still probably not enough to offset all of that spending in gambling.
266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling A Hobby? on: April 12, 2024, 05:42:33 AM
A hobby is something you like doing. Some people just like to gamble. Gambling can be a hobby. You are right. But someone that see gambling as a hobby should be very careful and avoid addiction because as some people are thinking it is a hobby, they are getting addicted and wasting money unnecessary on gambling.
Funny that you say that because I don't see how gambling addiction can be caught when you're aware, most of the time, you're addicted and you don't know it, maybe with a really strong self-awareness, you'd be able to see that you've been addicted but there's no way to prevent yourself unless you've got the discipline and self-control. Definitely gambling can be a hobby but we have to understand the implications of this hobby, gambling isn't like any other hobby out there where you don't need to spend too much money or that your money would go back or stay, gambling literally makes you lose your money if you lose, remember that if you lose your money, that's it, gambling isn't a hobby for anyone, those that have these uncontrollable need to gamble even if they've got the money, they're still going to eventually lose their money.
267  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are your expectations for Casino coins in this coming bull run? on: April 12, 2024, 04:49:08 AM
I don't know how much to expect, most of them are tied to the growth of the casino after all, so I think that if the price of many crypto during the bull run would lead to more people that would gamble more money thus making those casinos with tokens to go up in value then it's probably a possibility that we would see those coins going up too. I'm not particularly keen on the know-hows of casino coins so I'm not really sure what we can expect, I guess if you do believe that those coins have a chance to go up in price then by all means do what you want just remember that you should only invest what you can afford to lose, you can risk your money but you don't have to lose all of your money doing so.

269  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we ever live in peaceful Coexistence on: April 12, 2024, 02:20:49 AM
Yes, we can achieve this, only if we all come in alignment to having the same positive intentions towards one another, the problem the world is facing today is as a result of their self proclamations on what they think they have and others don't and such makes them to use those things against one another, nature is not the one fighting against us, we are the one having issues with our fellow human beings in life because of ranks and positions to achieve over others.
That's not ever going to happen, this dream of yours would only be possible if you do it with a small community, you can't ever do a unification that's peaceful in a larger community like a country, most of the time, the only way to enforce peace and whatever utopia it is that a government dreams of is through sheer violence or the threat of it, that's how it works most of the time so we can never really achieve true peace, if we were, we've done that a long time ago but the need for power, influence, and wealth is distracting us from that goal and so we're getting slow on the uptake when it comes to advancing as a civilization.
270  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Netanyahu, Conscience, and October 7 on: April 12, 2024, 01:55:33 AM
Netanyahu is only defending Israel Sovereignty against foreign Threats
Yes, killing children in hospitals and destroying humanitarian convoys through the use of drones and missiles is definitely defending Israel's sovereignty from foreign threats. You do know that it was Palestinian land first before it was Israel's right? Israel is already on the path of genocide and you're still defending them. There needs to be a way to destroy these interests that are making the US protect Israel, that's the only way that this can ever stop, US not being able to provide them the support will make this stop the things that Israel is doing currently.
271  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The governments are conscienceless on: April 11, 2024, 09:12:37 AM
They wouldn't be in power if they've got the conscience, in fact most of the stuff that the government is doing right now is probably not possible if they didn't violate a lot of human rights and lied about the things that they've done, politics and being a powerful isn't for everyone, if you have the conscience to not do the right thing or make things right, a government position that involves corruption isn't the right profession for you. That's why I don't trust what a politician says, it's always full of ulterior motives that would only benefit them, I know that there's more to it but in the gist of all of it, I don't believe what words those politicians says unless they accompany it with some actions.
272  Local / Pilipinas / Re: SEC Slams eToro for Offering Unregistered Securities on: April 11, 2024, 08:23:08 AM
All of them merong ATM na magagamit mo all the time since they supported cryptocurrency napakadali lang mag convert to our currency na pwedi mo rin magamit direct to your bank account or bank transfer.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: April 11, 2024, 07:03:54 AM

Betting is among the activities to indulge in but we need to be extremely careful when dealing with the market. Losses are made when the predicted games doesn't pull to the accordance path, moving inverse ways will issued out losses to gamblers but it move directly will bring profits. There's a big difference between been a fan and a gambler. Fan just exists to watch the crucial game and having all the fun needed more like entertainment while gamblers are these set of people that are willing to engaged with every bold moves to gamble.
Hate to break it to you but you can be a fan and a gambler at the same time, it's not like there's an invisible force or the technicality police force that's going to enforce or prohibit you from being a fan of a team and at the same time betting on them in an upcoming game. You don't also need to explain things in a complicated way how losses occur, losses in betting happens because you've made a bet on the team that lost although it's not your fault as no one can predict the outcome anyway.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investing in casinos: Still a thing? on: April 11, 2024, 05:48:19 AM
They pay hourly for your sats you which stake on their casino and the rate is 15% annually. It is huge compared to freebitco.in's 4% daily compounding annual rate. To be honest I am kind of skeptical about this because it sounds too good to be true. I am not sure if the 15% returns on btc are sustainable. As I pointed out in my earlier post, this offer is only limited to 20 btc so that means they'll be paying 3 btc interest for that 20 btc every year.

What do you think about it?
I've forgotten about this thread and I got to say that whomever bumped this thread, I thank you because I wouldn't have seen this post, I would definitely try this one out, I'm so crazy with my spending right now and I think that it's worthy that I have to put in some way to make some passive income so I won't zero out in terms of money, I don't like the idea that I'm going to be spending on stuff while not making any profit or just not spending anything because I've made it all back due to my investment, I'm going to ignore the part that you're promoting them though, I just trust you that it's a good investment, don't worry too that I'm investing too much, I'm definitely not going to do that and any amount is probably negligible that I can afford to lose it.
276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Double your money and quite on: April 11, 2024, 05:03:52 AM
How's it going for you then OP? Is the gambling any good? Are you getting a constant profit? Because from what I understand in all of this is that you're goal in gambling is to profit and not to have fun and it's unlikely that you're ever profiting from gambling because the odds are stacked against you and there isn't any way that you can do a gambling for profit if you're really good at gambling with an emphasis on really good because you need those skills. In the case that you're really good too, I don't think that you're going to want to quit the moment that you've doubled your initial amount of money, you got to remember that you can do more than just doubling the money, with the skill, double is probably the least that you can do.
277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you depend on game predictions by supercomputers? on: April 11, 2024, 03:52:11 AM
That depends too, is the supercomputer's predictions at the 99% accuracy? Anything lower than that is definitely not a good reason to depend on them when it comes to predicting the potential outcomes despite being able to do ungodly amounts of calculations, human factor will always be unpredictable. Maybe if that supercomputer shows an impressive result that predicts perfectly even if the accuracy is lower then I'd still take it but knowing how supercomputer is, it's unlikely that you'd be seeing a lot of them in any households yet, they're the size of buildings and most of them are used for far more important things than just predicting what could be the next team that would win or what number's going to hit the lottery. Regards to those that are doubtful of the power of supercomputers, you don't know the depth of what they can do because they're the most impressive human object in my opinion.
278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: April 11, 2024, 03:05:45 AM
If you're talking about Denis Villeneuve, he's not french, he is Canadian, from the french speaking part, that is to say he is a Quebecer actually. I'm not a big fan of him and his aesthetic, but it's a great director for sure. And from what I read, he has been chosen to direct the last chapter of the saga, Dune III.  So I guess we will see the same characters and actors again. The movie is expected to be released in 2 or 3 years.
https://www.theverge.com/24121523/dune-3-denis-villeneuve-legendary-messiah
If you read the book, that's not yet the last part of the saga, it would be a trilogy not a saga since saga needs to be more than 3 I think. It's also the 2nd book of the series that's going to get the adaptation too which is nice since that means that there's a possibility that everyone will be able to see and experience the Dune saga from start to finish without having the need to read the book because most of the time, people don't have the time to read books which is sad and alarming. If they do follow how the book plays out and they won't cast the same actor for any other character, probably that's the last time we'd see some of the characters, the only recurring character that would retain their casting all throughout would be Jason Momoa's character, Duncan Idaho.

280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Betting. Why the Distinction? on: April 11, 2024, 01:46:19 AM
Gambling is the general term, if you look at the definition of gambling in Google, it says there that you're wagering something of value on a random event with the intent of winning of winning something else of value, those are the exact word for word on the first result which means that gambling is the term and betting is just a type of gambling. Betting is still wagering of value to a not so random event because it depends on who's the likely winner since there's skills involved but still, it's still totally random as underdog winnings can still happen, that's why they god odds right? If you really want to specify the distinction, maybe you can put betting as a subtype of another subtype and that subtype being the not so totally random subtype. I don't know the reason for the need for the distinction though, I don't even believe you can even get confused because one is an activity (betting) and the other is what you call that activity (gambling).
