2761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 26, 2021, 12:19:40 PM
We will eventually see the fight between Casimero and Inoue since both fighters will likely stay on their current weight division and as they beat each other opponents, they leave no choice but to finally step on the ring to fight each other. They really need to make it happen since they want total glory and the fans wanted them to prove who is the best in this era. I think this is enough for Casimero because he already took down lots of opponents to catch the big fish, Inoue. They really need to consider making it happen before those passed their primes.

Hopefully, I heard news that Casimero is having a hard time getting into the scale with this current weight. So I'm thinking he is really getting bigger and heavier as he age so we don't know how long will he stay in this weight class to wait either Donaire or Inoue for a mega fight.

I remember him calling out the champions in higher weight class as well so that is the sign that he is willing to go up in weight and might not be comfortable in the bantam.

Not much interesting game tomorrow. But maybe Wizards vs Sixers might be a good one. Wizards have been on a losing streak and they will try to break it against the Sixers. However, without their top scorer in Beal, it will be very difficult, so I'm picking the Sixers here, -3.5 with odds of 1.90. I think it's already attractive to most bettors here.

This gonna be the time for Thurman to show his fans that he is still a champion despite losing his belt to Manny. He deserves this fight and I believe he still has the power to make it possible but his opponent is young and hunger for winning as well and that he could never think that it will be just an easy fight nor an easy winning.

And I think, he doesn't need to be a cocky boxer anymore as karma might come once again. Ohh, if he wanted to win, then he must have to take this seriously, otherwise, he ends up losing his reputation.

Or he still has it, to be one of the champions in this division because it is pretty much stack up, with Spence, Crawford and Ugas.

And for sure his fans are waiting for him to make a comeback fight and he chooses a fighter that he can show his power.

But as far as his cockiness, I don't think he will change his style. He also lost his reputation when a 40 year old boxer handed his ass on a silver plate. Lol. But it's over now, Pacquiao has retired so Thurman must go on with his career.

And it seems that Novak will get special treatment in this tournament. This is my personal opinion though, whether you like it or not. For once, I'm into the notion that Djokovic is still not taken any single jab, all is speculation that he has. But based on his belief and his anti-vaccine stance, for me he has not taken anything yet. And if he gets a pass here, then I would lost all respect to him and the organisers for allowing him to play.

Why would you lose? Its better for everyone that Novak Djokovic plays in this tournament. Who cares if he is vaccinated or not,it will make tennis much better on the tournament and much more intresting honestly. I dont really care if he is vacinated or not i want to see him play for few more years on as much as possible tournament before he retires.

For the sake of transparency, he should come out and tell everyone that the has taken the jab or not. Of course, who wouldn't love to see Novak Djokovic plays, he is the best tennis player out there, but for sure, majority here loves him or hates him, that's a fact. However, if he plays without the jab so what will make him? His tennis career will be questionable once he retires because of this simple missteps in AO.

How bout the Suns and the Warriors game?

Warriors proved that they are a better team and it seems that Curry was in a mission to proved himself in this game as he started to hit his three point shots. And although the Suns with CP3 trying to make a comeback and even take a lead, the Warriors didn't have a meltdown and then another hero on their side, Otto Porter hitting dagger threes to close out the game.
2766  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP for 2025 on: December 25, 2021, 08:30:30 PM
people have too high expectations about these coins because indeed they are actually quite good and with fast delivery and are backed by some famous people and even prominent people in some big countries.
But again, it is very difficult to settle their case with the SEC at this time and like it or not. The case they are currently handling is only running in place and there is no clarity so that it makes their prices very stagnant as if they are running in place.

I wouldn't say investors have to high expectations on XRP, it's that it was already present during the height of 2017 bull run, stays on top of the rankings, even have it's time of so called "rippening" - replacing bitcoin on top. However, when we entered the bear market and with the emergence of new projects, it was relegated below and then SEC filed a lawsuit, causing the price to really goes down hard.

Knicks vs Hawks - the game is too early for my timezone, but I'm a Knicks fan to I will go with them here -6.5. Trae Young has been reported to not going to play here, so Knicks will have to take advantage of it. Utah Jazz vs Mavericks, - Utah Jazz still, -11.5, they can cover this as Luka will not play and probably KP as well.

It's now over, the Knicks won already 101-87, so it's a double digit lead so congrats to those who bet on the Knicks as they have covered the spread on this one with plenty to spare.

I'm more interested on the Celtics vs Bucks, very intriguing match, Giannis is still not on the Bucks lineup, but Boston is playing s**t as well. So still 50/50 in my opinion.
2768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ancajas vs Ioka Dec 31 on: December 25, 2021, 03:19:07 PM

Yes, exactly, so the delays have a 50/50 effect on the boxers, just look at the Lopez vs Kambosos fight, the fight was delayed and then Kambosos was more resilent that's why he upsets Lopez by a big win.

Not saying the case will be the same here, but the delays will have a big psychological impact on this boxers because they have trained enough to peak for the schedule and then suddenly everything will change just like that.

The delays or the rescheduling of the fight gives a considerable amount of time to fighters to condition their body and mind on their upcoming fight but also at the same it reduces the momentum or the eagerness of the fighter to win the fight. As I have remembered most of the time once the fight is rescheduled or delayed it ended up canceled but I do hope this case will be just like the fight of GGG and Murata since this fight was also scheduled to be held in Japan but was rescheduled too because of covid.

I think still favors Jerwin here, I mean he doesn't need to get his body used to the cold December weather in Japan as this was raised earlier in the discussions.

If the fight is still going to be held in Japan but push back, then winter is over and Ancajas who is used to warm weather might not need to go to rigorous adjustments as the winter might be over when the fight is rescheduled for next year.

It's not a major factor for sure, his team knows the weather in Japan and they will be ready for that so Jerwin will not get affected by the weather, they will prepare him to be 100% during the fight as it's a very important fight for the Filipino Champion. Since it was postponed due to covid-19 restrictions, then he will get more time to train and get used his body with the weather condition.

I think it will be a major factor, that's why boxers travel ahead before the fight, like 2 weeks or more to really get used to the environment as this is very much different to where Jerwin is trying is, (I'm assuming it will be in the Philippines).

Just imagine American boxer travelling outside and fighting in Japan, so they will have to adjust whether they like it or not. So same with any other foreign fighters including Ancajas.
2769  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc ath february 2022 on: December 25, 2021, 02:08:04 PM
Even wall street can't predict the exact price of bitcoin in a given time, they are not controlling the market, it's a global market and everyone's transaction can influence the price of bitcoin in the future. Just like what we are seeing now, we are expecting that bitcoin would be bullish in the end of the year but it looks like a correction is happening instead.
I really believe if there is a great person who is able to dominate the market (though not completely), the great person I mean is the one who has a lot of BTC in his wallet. For example, Elon Musk, besides having a lot of money he also has a lot of followers, I believe with what he has he can control the market. This market is indeed global but FUD, supply and demand are very influential on market conditions.

Nah, I don't think that anyone can control the market now, it's has grown so big in the last year that I don't think that a single whale can manipulate the market price to his favour. Gone are those whales, if such scenario would have to happen, at least 2-3 whales should collude with each other.

Everything is still base on supply and demand, that is the basic tenant of bitcoin's economics. Nevertheless, there's such thing as FUD and FOMO to bring the price up and down.

Bet you are right, it's a Shiba fever, and yes, it can surely disturb the market, but give it sometime, maybe in less than a year, everything will die down, Lol.

And that is really the nature of crypto, specially hype and meme coins like shiba, in the beginning it can really make you a lot of money. But if you are late in the hype train, chances are you are going to be trap if you didn't get out in time.
2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: December 25, 2021, 11:47:34 AM
That's a great news @Baofeng, this fight will happen for sure next year and we will see Casimero again as a champion. Previously, we are talking of Inoue vs Donaire fight only, but with this development, there's a big chance that the Inoue vs Casimero will happen first as long as Casimero will win this one.
^ That is if Casimero will win this fight, the chances of winning of Butler it seems not far beyond and I think, he could take advantage of Casimero's weakness since I don't think if Casimero has been fully recovered of his sickness. I don't think Casimero will fully be recovered on that day or we are expecting an excuse from him. If he will lucky and able to win this match against Butler, then there would be Inoue vs Casimero fight.
The thing that I don't like is Casimero because of his trash talk which is I don't want to place a bet with him.
If this is Covid-19 infection, then I would agree with your premise that Butler should take advantage because Casimero is weaken by the virus. But this is a different illness that hits Casimero and I doubt that he will be affected by it. And yeah, if he thinks that he can't go and fight 100% then he will definitely not go with the Butler match. So regardless of his trash talking, his chances to win against Butler is still very good in my opinion.

I think I'm one of the first poster to look at how Covid-19 really affected the boxers.

But I don't have the data, if I'm not mistaken, Lopez got Covid prior to his fight with Kambosos and that's why it was postponed. Not taking anything away from George, he did a good job against Lopez, but at the back of my mind, the virus might have weaken this boxers.

But in this fight, it's a different scenario, so I will still go with Casimero to win by a devastating knock out and still defend his belt.
2773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: December 25, 2021, 11:18:31 AM
~ I'm hoping that this is a big preparation fight for Thurman vs Crawford because we already have Ugas vs Spence Jr.
If Crawford - Spence Jr. won't be set after the Ugas fight, then Thurman will be a good match up for him.

Thurman wasn't really that bad against Pacman when they fought and I guess that's something he could build on moving forward. Hopefully, he wins dominantly and convince promoters to give him a bigger fight.

I hoping that Thurman will win here by a KO. I think even if he has not been in the boxing ring, he still have that power in this division. And that is true also, he is doing good in the Pacman fight, until he was caught in the body and that really slows him down.

You can see Pacman's face after the fight, he was hit many times by Thurman and maybe Keith soften up Pacman and Ugas really did the final nail for Pacman's greatness.

But if Thurman wins, then he can either get Spence or Crawford next.
2774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 25, 2021, 10:46:09 AM

How about your Phoenix Suns? Ayton is still playing good, CP3 barring no injuries are also playing like a true "Point God" with the team. I think Suns and Warriors in the West right now and I don't see anyone pulling an upset on them.

The East though is very different, very difficult to predict as the Bulls is coming along, the Nets being the top seed with Durant, and then we have the defending champion the Bucks.

Of course, the Suns are also a great team, however, we only need to choose one from the East and one from the West and Ognasty has his own prediction. Personally, I like the Suns to compete the Warriors in the WCF but I'll go for the Warriors to be the winner because soon they'll get Thompson back which is a deadly 3 point shooter, also they have the experience and have won multiple championships, so the advantage is on them.

Yeah, Klay might be the big difference between the Warriors winning the ring again this year and losing in the finals. If he remains healthy after his comeback, ohh it will be very deep Warriors team, first five will be solid. But wait till they get replaced by the likes of Poole, Payton, Lee, Kuminga, JTA, and Iggy.

So that's one big advantage of Warriors is that they can sustain their run even if you take out their starting five and the rotation will not change as all of them are very familiar with the plays.
2775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 23, 2021, 12:42:56 PM
I think everyone almost mentions some good coins to invest for long term, ADA will be one I guess.

So it's mostly on the top 10-20 coins, solid and has the reputation already and most of them have been in crypto space for years, established themselves that's why they are on top.

And I guess it really depends on your definition of long term, if we enter a bear market, then it will be long 3 years again so that the right time to fill our bags again.
2776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: December 23, 2021, 11:49:05 AM
Peng Shuai has accused a member of the Chinese party leadership of raping her, damaging the country's reputation and I personally do not believe she will ever be able to leave the country or play tennis again.

It depends. For an ordinary person, who is not especially brave, then intimidation would probably work. They could say we will let you travel so long as you remain silent, but if you try to defect then we can track you down very easily. This would probably be enough of a threat. But Peng Shuai has demonstrated that as well as being a great tennis player, she is also an extraordinarily brave person to go up against the Chinese authorities as she has. I would imagine intimidation won't work too well on her personally.... but of course they can also threaten to harm her family if she steps out of line, which is another issue entirely.

Basically the whole world knows that China is guilty here, even if she 'voluntarily' retracts her allegation. How China reacts to this situation is a question that can have far-reaching consequences.

And maybe the next time that se will resurface, maybe she will retracts everything?

Even billionaires like Jack Ma was not an exemption as he was also a victim of the Chinese government when he spoke against it 2 years ago and then suddenly he also disappears, and perhaps to silence him.

Although the case might be different, but you can see how the government will treat everyone when you are going to attack government officials or the government itself.
2777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 23, 2021, 11:19:10 AM
Milwaukee Bucks still managed to win in the absence of Giannis. Their opponent, Rockets, was at the last place of its conference though but still it was a nice win by 126-106. J. Holiday continued to take responsibility in this game also and made a nice double-double having 24 pts and 10 reb. This time, Middleton also helped him having 23 pts. They are at the 3rd place in their conference now.
I'm not surprised with that, they played against the Rockets who are not a good team, or I should say at the bottom of the standing while the Bucks are in a playoff standing. Bucks are a team that does not only rely on Giannis, they have improved already that's why they were successful, if you see their series against the Hawks, they missed Giannis in few games but they still manage to win.

I forget which team the Bucks had a game a couple of nights ago which go into OT, without Giannis, Portis and Middleton, and yet Holiday really take the team to the game and force OT and put the Bucks into a winning possible. So yes, this team is still a championship caliber and even without their star players, others will step up the plate and lead the team. Holiday and Middelton gave US a gold in last Olympics so this two are very experience.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: December 22, 2021, 08:04:34 PM
Ugas had a fortunate fight against Manny last time but I guess he could still have the stamina to beat Spence this time. We've seen how wild and aggressive Ugas was. Some might underestimate him but I guess he's too determined to create a good record in this field. Spence is also hard to beat but I must say that this is a strong and perfect match.

If I'm not mistaken, he has supposedly a fight that got cancelled or has been requesting boxing organizations to give him a fight, hence why he was once said "feared boxer in this division" because no one wanted to fight him, but that is according to him.

But here, his wishes are granted because he will have a crack at one of the best Welterweight in Spence who is coming from an eye surgery, while him upset Manny. So I guess they are even in this match.

Anyone could be an expert especially in giving opinions and predictions in different types of sports. However, having a list of trusted predictions would also be a big help especially if we're seeking good advice that would help us create a good decision. It's not that they're always right about their opinions but rather having enough knowledge about a certain sport. Their predictions could often guide us.

Of course, I followed some of them already mentioned, but I also tried to give my own predictions like in tennis and boxing and basketball.

And it good to have a conversation with those people, I mean you know how deep their knowledge on the sports so it's really up to you whether you agree or disagree with them in certain points about their analysis.
2780  Other / Off-topic / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs. Ilunga Makabu on: December 20, 2021, 12:06:04 PM
^^ Regardless of what Canelo path right now, he is carving his own name in the history books.

I don't think we have seen fighters moving from 154 to 190 - 200 lbs and fight for the Cruiserweight title. Many of them only reaches as high as super Middleweight and then Roy Jones to Heavyweight.

So Canelo Alvarez the first Mexican to ever to do this feat and we are all witness to it.
