After a long wait, finally, we could now our beloved "Angas ng Pinas" fighting back as he said he will be fighting Ryo Akaho on December 3,2022 in Japan but no confirmation yet from the promoter but I think he can be trusted on this one. So, it's official that he will be moving up in weight as they will be fighting at the super bantamweight division and I think Inoue will be watching this one as it will happen in his country.

See below youtube link for more info.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzbNNPKVM7A&ab_channel=PowcastSports

That's good to hear that Casimero is finally back in the right, but let's see, we have to wait for the final announcement of this fight. And moving up is the only thing to do for him so that he can move forward, obviously his body can't make the bantamweight as he had health issues and the losing his belt to Butler. Definitely, Inoue will be watching this one as they are supposed to fight in the bantamweight for the unification. Hopefully Casimero will win and be back being the brandish that he is.
1762  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: September 28, 2022, 09:52:34 PM
But, I can see it start to go up and that's going to be an important situation for all of us. If we can start to go up, then November will be even easier and then December as always would be a great month where we could break over our ATH. People are seeing how it hasn't been over ATH for over a year and imagine it would be very hard for us to reach there, but the reality is that it takes like 2 months give or take to break over ATH if we reach to a bull run.

And that is the big question, it's not like we are in a bull run wherein the price will go on a big rally before the end of the year and then new ATH.

This time the market is very bearish, the world has problems with inflation, dollar is weakening, there is the war in the background that continue to affect us. So I don't think the October will likely see a good bounce, There could be no significant movement, $22k could be the highest and then the bottom could be around $18k-$19k.
1763  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Kwon on the run, Binance becomes the target of the LUNC community. on: September 28, 2022, 09:33:05 PM
I'm also under the impression that Do-Kwon is in South Korea and in the police custody pending the investigation. So if he is on the run then obviously he is guilty in the public court of law. I mean why would he hide if he didn't do nothing wrong? (that is according to him).

As for CZ, maybe he had backlash on this one, but I don't think he is concern of losing traders in his platform. He is on top right now so doesn't matter, there will be more traders that are going to sign up with Binance no matter what the issues is.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 28, 2022, 09:16:28 PM
Who do you think is the best number one of all time?

Pete Sampras, Jimmy Connors, Andy Murray, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, or Rafael Nadal? (maybe another one?)

Sampras still has the impressive record of being the number one player for 6 continuous years.
I wasn't so much into tennis in Sampras time so I don't really remeber any big rivalries for him other than Agassi and he had quite good H2H with him in the end.

Murray would have made so much more in any other time than this. I don't think tennis ever had something similar to level of performaces the big four produced before becoming the big three. Any one of them would have had it so much easier if competition wasn't that good. That is why it is so difficult to compere player from different eras.
Can we give a little appreciation to the woman players as well.
Maria and Sefty Graff
What an amazing woman they were too

Of course, we appreciate women too, Serena and Venus Williams had a great battle with Swiss Miss Martina Hingis and then Maria Sharapova. Those are the times that the women side can rival the mens are far as intensity and the number of fans watching their battle in the court.

Steffi Graf and Monica Seles, who would forget the stabbing incident on her?

And along the line there are a lot of women like Lindsay Davenport, Justin Henin, Kim Clijsters, Jennifer Capriati and Mary Pierce.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 28, 2022, 03:40:49 PM
Their head coach will not be replaced if he does not commit a violation.

he was suspended for this coming season
https://www.cnbc.com/2022/09/23/boston-celtics-suspend-head-coach-ime-udoka-for-upcoming-season.html

So let the assistant coach handle the job, and let's see if he can still make Celtics a great team.
Let's hope so.
Here's a statement of Joe Mazzulla.
Quote
"It's not about carrying on from one person," Mazzulla said during the team's media day here in the Boston suburbs. "It's about carrying on the identity of our players. We had our struggles early last season, but at our best, we knew what our identity was. It was our defense, it was our buy-in from a defensive standpoint, and then it was sharing the ball and moving quickly on the offensive end.
"So as much as we can stick to the things we were great at last year, and then find areas to improve along the way, I think is the right way to go."
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/34671406/jaylen-brown-boston-celtics-set-put-our-best-foot-forward-interim-coach-joe-mazzulla
Marcus Smart:
Quote
"Joe has been here. He knows the scheme, he knows the players, so it makes it a little bit more easier to adjust to a guy that's been here and knows you."
I doubt they will have a problem with Joe. 3 years being an assistant coach from Brad Stevens to Udoka.
Most players of the Celtics know him as they didn't change their roster that much. This could be Joe's time to shine if ever he manages to put the Celtics in a good position this season.

Yeah, I guess he really knows the player very well, it's just a matter of adjustment for them because of his new role. And I guess it's more on the players side, the scandal took a toll on them.

And so we will see how the Celtics will do and hopefully the same system will bring them to the finals once again. And yeah, it's time for him to show that he can be a lead coach and maybe see some improvements under Joe this new season.
1766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 28, 2022, 03:09:53 PM
Floyd won another exhibition match in Japan,

I have forgotten about that fight, thanks for reminding. Another easy money for Floyd. Google says that Floyd would get 20 millions if he competes and 30 if he wins that fight, and most funny, 1.5 million if he appears on a press conference. Surprisingly, this exhibition fight last more than 1 round.

Damn, 20 - 30 million is a dream money fight for some of the elite boxers that we have right now, Canelo is still the cash cow, but GGG get around that money fighting him. So just imagine those lower weight class champion, I doubt that they can get around how much Floyd is making in exhibition fight in like 6 minutes.
I'm also curious though if the organizers can really get more than what they gave? $30 Million is already a huge money, a money that a lower weight class champion cannot even earn in a year.

They'll get more if they sold more tickets.
Regardless though, these organizers will not pursue exhibition matches if they don't get a handsome profit from it. May it be they get more than what the boxer gets or the other way around, they are still earning millions.
Put Mayweather or Pacquiao or anyone who's retired and formerly dominates in any combat sports in the ring for an exhibition match, and we can easily tell it's a guaranteed money.

Logically right! Promoters will not spend time and effort just to pay the fighter's check but for making decent money,
they continue to bring exhibition fights to earn as simple as that.

Look how Mayweather collecting easy money from those fights that he made, and now,
we will see also Pacquiao doing his own versions of exhibition.

Maybe the difference is Pacquiao announces that the profits will go to the chosen charity while for Mayweather every
sweat means a huge amount of dollars.

I think we will see Pacquaio doing the same exhibition match with small twist like the profits for charity and other thing to help his people. But I guess he will have to make some money as well. So just imagine fighting in less than the usual 12 rounds and brutal fighting in professional fight, you can earn the same or even higher in an exhibition match. So it's logical and make sense for Mannny and obviously, he will do that because he has a schedule with some Youtuber from South Korea and his former sparring partner in the Middle East also slated. And maybe go to Japan and fight too for bigger purse and money.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 26, 2022, 12:41:23 AM
I don't think Butler's skill should be underestimated.  Yes, in the upcoming battle, he is potentially very much inferior to the Japanese.

However, Butler is an experienced and strong fighter.  If he does not lose personal courage and fights with all his strength, then he has a chance to win.  Butler is very unpredictable.  It is not for nothing that this boxer is called the Killer, who has a childish face.  He can outsmart the Japanese.

If the Japanese boxer relaxes, then Butler can launch a surprise attack that will lead to a technical knockout.  Such an option now seems completely unbelievable, but it is possible.

I understand your point there. However, we can't really hide the fact that Butler doesn't have any advantage in this fight. I don't know on what part you consider Butler's experience as an advantage over Inoue. You also called him a strong fighter. And lastly, he is very unpredictable. Might be true if it's against other opponents but we are talking about against Naoya Inoue here.

Didn't you know that all those traits you mentioned were already in Naoya Inoue even before? And there are lots.

That was the reason he was called "The Monster".

I don't think he is also predictable, and his chin is suspect already, Zolani Tete floored Butler in their fight and I think Inoue as this point is the hardest puncher in the bantamweight division.

Yes, he has the experience, but how can he take that against Inoue is the question. Is he going to be aggressive and control the fight, what if he taste Inoue's power?

So again, we are not saying that Butler is not good, of course he is a champion, but Inoue has more tools in his arsenal that is hard to counter by a boxer with Butler's caliber (and experience if we think this is a advantage).
1768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 26, 2022, 12:14:18 AM
How about you do you had a worst day on gambling  that you will never forget ?Did it affect an aspect of your life and how ?

It's pretty obvious that our worst gambling day would have a affected us somewhat in our life. From having severe relationship with someone or maybe not putting food in the table.

For me I can't count what's my worst gambling day that resulted in something like this. But I know that it had dire consequences for me, like not going to work because you can't sleep because you lose some big money and you can to think and cover it because it could be disastrous in my end.
1769  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto agents on the increase on: September 25, 2022, 11:50:44 PM
But with all this heavy threats on the crypto industry it is no longer safe to allow newbies venture into crypto business without a well structured knowledge about the dangers ahead. Things are no longer the way it was when the whole idea of digital currencies and assets were coined out. It is only safe to tell people only about Bitcoin and warn them about the dangers of the crypto market when the intend to broaden their portfolio

But it's safe to say as well that it's not just the crypto industry that is not safe for newbies, everything that talks about money is not safe for everyone. It's that crypto is the latest thing and in the last 5 years it become so successful that scammers make this as their paradise as there are a lot of naive investors in the market. The don't do any investigations, they just listed to influencers and believed them. And we just have to think that this is our hard earn money so we need to be careful where we are going to invest it here.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 25, 2022, 01:30:23 PM

Both will sure make adjustments on the fight. And even a weight drain Ancajas can absorb Martinez best punch, what's more if Jerwin is in his best shape and no issues with weight? It could be a different outcome. And so this is what we are expecting from him in this fight. Bring the fight to Martinez and be a banger, the style that he is known for.

Let's see if he can prove to the world that he is the better fighter, it's hard to just speculate, we should give respect to the winner, yes, Ancajas may have struggle maintaining the weight but there's nothing to be blame of, but himself and it's not a valid excuse.

In-terms of strength and power, there's no doubt and I think it's not even arguable that Ancajas have that advantage. Martinez is a decent boxer but Ancajas do much better than that and we saw that Ancajas can absorb that. The only thing that separates them is Ancajas's current situation, we can argue about their power, speed and all but if Ancajas will still struggle, all these things are meaningless because a fight won't happen.

This year alone, we have witnessed plenty upsets and some of that is weight issues, I surely hope that Ancajas won't join that list.

He already joined the list when he lost his belt to Martinez already, he has been holding it for many years, defend it against many good boxers. Unfortunately, not taking anything from Martinez, but the weight issue really took a big toll on him resulting in an upset.

However, if he do not do any adjustment as far as his weight issues then he will definitely join the list for this year. For sure there, could be feeling of pressure on him to get back his title against a confident Martinez.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 25, 2022, 01:12:03 PM
And as the saying goes, if one door closes, another one open, so this is a good opportunity for the young and up coming to really show their talent because Federer has retired already.

We have discussed their names already, and then this year, we have another one in Alcaraz. So we will see who is brave enough to somewhat become the next or even surpassed Roger's achievement.

Federer had an elegance with how he played and Alcaraz dosent have that. Alcaraz has a gamestyle like Nadal and is similar to him. New stars are here and i dont know for how long Djokovic and Nadal wi be playing. Nadal always has injuries now so i think he will be the next to retire.

I thought the same when I saw Nadal crying after Federer's finale game. It seemed as if the situation was something he already feels himself to be very close to. I would say that could be one explanation for him crying.

Regarding Alcaraz and his game style, that's very true and it is almost the same as Nadal. It is all about power while Federer indeed made tennis look like an elegant sport. I think there isn't really a player right now who comes close to Federer's style. It's also his light movements that made it look easy and not so powerful. It was more about precision and strategy.

I think that was the fun part about the big three guys. Everyone had his own style.

Yep and that's what really separates the big 3 or at least big 4 when Murray was healthy during this competition run. Each has it's own style of playing, in boxing, style makes fight and this goes with tennis. There were times that Federer will have the upper hand, but Nadal will come back in clay court tournaments. Djokovic has the mentality of both and Murray can match either stride by stride.

So hopefully if there will be a big 3 in the future that will be dominating as this guys then it's going to be very fun and exciting to watch their careers grow and fighting against each others specially in grand slams.
1772  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance trading activity is 13x larger than any other exchange on: September 24, 2022, 11:45:06 PM
-snip-
Do you mean, they more prefer to invest in a shtcoin where pump and dump happen? they want that because they can easily get money and sometimes more than double happens to their money but the thing is not all shtcoin can give them easy money, just stay as you are. Binance will always be the safe place for me for everything in this trading world.
This is getting interesting after what happens to binance and with all the regulations changes despite the fact that you are trading on a CEX now. Some people would rather choose a reputable exchange than choosing those a DEX or perhaps it's all about the pump and dump of their tons of shitcoin coming in and out that's why most people would choose binance over the other?

Probably or it's just that Binance could be for everyone, average Joes to whales (although might be doing OTC). But for the majority of us, they seems to be comfortable and at least they are very supportive as they have been planning to put up education in our country regarding bitcoin/blockchain technology.

We never know what people are thinking these days but one thing is for sure, they like profit that has high risk and high reward ratio

Yeah, and it's also case to case, but for the old and traditional traders, maybe buying and just doing some few trades here and there, and HOLD.

But for the riskier individual, taking daily trades and look for profit is their thing.
1773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 24, 2022, 11:05:00 PM
Canelo said that he will not be fighting Benavidez yet, as he doesn't bring any on the table.

And I believed that before his contract with Matchroom or DAZN ends, he will definitely go for a 5th title, so most likely he will go CW to get another belt.

As for Floyd's technical abilities, yes I do agree with @lionheart78, inside the ring he is one of the best complete fighter that we have seen, specially his defensive skills. From 130-147 lbs, he dominated everyone with his technical skills. But as far as outside the ring and his personality, then it's a different story.
1774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 24, 2022, 08:42:51 PM
Ripple is one of the altcoins that is still undervalued, especially since this coin has been sleep for a long time,
there is a lot of fud and bad news circulating about XRP, but I believe it's time for XRP to rise and this is just the beginning,
if you look at the chart it might be new ATH can be achieved next year, hopefully
FUD was coming caused by ripple was a centralized coin that focusing to develop the insfastructure for the bank and it was abandoing its main mission for crypto. Ripple was also security coin and it's still in a battle against SEC. i think that people were making FUD caused by a reason. People will not do that if there would be a strong reason for them to create various FUD for ripple. FUD was a common thing in the crypto right now.
I didn't know that Ripple could step up and hit a new ATH in the next year. But if there's an altcoin season coming up, there's a chance that Ripple could step up and maybe hit a new ATH. But before that, Ripple is still waiting for the altcoin season to arrive so that it can help raise its price. There's still a lot of speculation about what price Ripple could reach in the next altcoin season, and I think investors are waiting for that too.

And least we forget, all altcoins are still dependent on the price movement of bitcoin, regardless of what they say, that there is a decoupling already. Yeah, Ripple might be having a good run, but sooner or later it will go and settle down by itself because we are in a bearish cycle.

And so before it can make another mini bull run, the whole market or bitcoin should move first. It's that they have a good news right now that brought that huge run, but it doesn't mean it can continue it's growth without hitting a wall.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 24, 2022, 08:26:53 PM
As expected Shakur dominate the whole fight for a unanimous decision win
SCORES: 117-109, 117-109, 118-108 for Shakur Stevenson, Shakur is ready to move up in the lightweight division but I doubt he will have the same success as he did in this division, Haney, Garcia, and Loma are just too good, and he cannot match up the power and speed of these three, but anyway congratulation to Shakur.

He schooled Robson like he is an amateur hehe but that was expected but it's just interesting to see if he had the same performance had he decided to shred that excess 1.6 pounds because for sure it will have an effect on his performance.

Almost bet for Shakur by decision @1.6 (boosted) but my mind changed when he did not made the scale as i thought he would knockout Robson since he would be bigger by fight time but i'm wrong, playing safe all the time.

I'm not so sure if he could survive the like of Loma or Davis if he fight them right away, i think he needs few more tune up fights in the LW division before facing either champion.

Nevertheless congrats to Shakur for the win in front of his hometown.

Shakur made a good move on forfeiting the fight because he knows himself that he cannot shrink that 1.6 pounds in mere 2 hours before the official weigh-in, it could be a walk in the park for Shakur if he had made the required weight. The difference of their power is so evident, Robson doesn't stand a chance against Shakur and that's for real. Nevertheless, it was a good run and now it's time for him to take his power in lightweight division.

As I have previously, it was a good decision on their side, nothing to regrets as he if shrink himself that 1.6 lbs, it can do damage to him. And it was evident that in the power department, Shakur has the advantage and that body shot really slow down Robson in the fight. Although he says that he will pull a surprised, there's nothing spectacular about him. Top tier boxers, he had difficulty, but probably he can beat the rest of the fighters in this division but might fall short of the champion. Anyhow, let's see how the eliminator will be for both belts. I'm seeing Robson figuring out in one of those fights.
1776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Go home with a profit and come back to end up losing a lot. on: September 24, 2022, 01:04:44 PM
If he is addicted, then definitely he will try and maybe take a rest go home, refresh, and then comeback and play again. And I will admit that during my addicted I have this kind of attitude. Even if I'm not winning, I will go home, get more money and be back again.

So what's more if you are winning and feeling lucky. For sure you will not realized what you are doing is wrong until the time that everything is lost. He is lucky if he still have money to go home, otherwise it will be the "walk of shame".

1778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: September 23, 2022, 10:22:40 PM
yes I'm also sure a lot of people selling their Bitcoins hit the bottom $20k and the whales always catch it below it, when it's under $20k it always comes back above $20k when the whales take it, I guess it's a matter of time to see the market recover soon, events 2018 not the same as 2014 nor 2022 is never the same as 2018 please pay attention to the charts
The percentage level of decline in Bitcoin has always been different in the time period you mentioned and yes it is also the rate of increase in every four years because Bitcoin is not at the same ATH in every four years. That's the evidence that many people have seen by now and the possibility for a major upgrade cycle over the course of every four years, I think will still be there and happening in Bitcoin.

But as the cycle continues the percentage will not be the same obviously. The rate of increase might be somewhat lessen as compare to the previous run. It's because the price is really very high or going to a level that not everyone can invest a lot and only the whales will have the money to invest huge amount. In any case though, we average joe can be part of the next bull run, just invest small and what we can afford in this bear market. And maybe in the next bull run, the price will be in the 6 digit
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A meme coin called baby doge worth this risk? on: September 23, 2022, 09:59:18 PM
I can't mine ETH or any other coins right now but I do find a way that might look good but bad to many, I can mine a meme coin called Baby Doge, I can get 609,000,000 of this token per day but that's because the max supply of the project is enormous, what do you think about Baby Doge, some time back there are a lot of noise about this project, any believer here?

It's really up to you mate, I think you already know what are the risk of getting meme coins.

1. as a meme coin, Baby Doge, might and might not go to the moon in the next bull run
2. could be used by some for pure pump and dump scheme.

So who knows, it might be worth a try or it will literally go to 0, it's your choice as it's difficult to give a financial advise here.
1780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: September 23, 2022, 09:41:41 PM
There is a high chance that Shakur will move to 135 pounds after this fight because it might be rumor for now but I guess that is one of their way to inform the public that he is already struggling to shrink his weight inside 130 pounds but I sure do hope that he is not thinking to fight Tank Davis in his debut in that said weight class, he should know what patience is.

Most likely that this will be the scenario if ever Shakur will win against Robson this weekend because there is not much left for him in this division, i mean the money fight is in the higher division. Fighting the likes of Garcia or Davis could be helpful in Shakur's young career because he is known as a defensive fighter who doesn't attract crowds and Bob Arum acknowledges that.

Too bad, Shakur won't be defending his belt anymore because he cannot meet the required weight, he exceeded almost 2 pounds with only few hours left from the weigh-in. Now, there's no holding him up from moving towards the lightweight division where there's money in almost every fight especially now that there's a lot of known good boxers in one stable.

I think he made the right decision not to force his body in the second weigh in and try to meet the required weight as it could be disastrous to him.

I just really hope that he won't be greedy enough to get Davis in his first fight, I mean, I know Shakur can manage but his chances against Tank Davis is literally low especially now that he is not used fighting in 135 lbs. yet. It might be best for him to fight Garcia first, I'm quite sure that money will rain even in that fight.

I doubt that Floyd and his team will allow his price pupil to simply fight Shakur. They have been carefully match making Tank throughout his career building him up so they don't want to be simply destroyed by the rising Shakur. It's better for him to just have a tune up up in 135 lbs first.
