2801  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: No action by Changelly after 16 days - no exchanged coins and no refund on: January 23, 2018, 09:04:28 AM

Coinomi support team helped me today with supporting links which i forwarded to Changelly. Subsequently, Changelly re-sent to me exchanged coins successfully on the same day. Problem was in low transaction fee used by Changelly due to which transaction has been stucked for a more than a month. It is important to mention that in such a cases transaction pending status has to expire before they could resend coins.

This doesn't sound like a logical explanation... If changelly used a low transaction fee that it's their problem. They should send a second transaction to the exchange that they are using to first get your transaction done. Or, they should have at least refunded you after 2 days of waiting.

The only reason people would use changelly instead of shapeshift is because their rates are better.

But does it really matter when you're waiting for a month? Similarly, why would anyone use changelly when you can use an exchange much quicker and for better rates as well?

Even though they've resolved this issue, they've taken far too long. Based on this experience i would not recommend changelly to anyone nor use it myself in the future.

Climb the highest mountains! Invest $100 and in 30 days you have $200, reinvest the $200, repeat. In 5 months with $100 invested you get $1600.

Crazy shit. They literally have admitted that they are running a HYIP ponzi. Nobody is able to generate that much profit. Not even the top university graduates. What makes you think some random guy you met over the internet can do it?

Let's look at their explanation of how they do it:
Quote
Through a method called “pump and dump”. It’s quite simple to understand if we don’t use financial terms. We are part of a private group of crypto traders and we artificially increase the price of an altcoin we choose.

Pump and dump is a legitimate trading strategy. It is banned in some countries first of all. Secondly, it will never generate guaranteed profits because of the volatile nature of trading on any market. It'll also not generate 1500% profits in 5 months.

It may be tempting to invest in these things at first, but you'll see at the end that it's only a way to benefit the admin.
2803  Economy / Lending / Re: .025 bitcoin or eth (OF COURSE WITH COLLATERAL IS GIVEN 3 to 1) on: January 23, 2018, 08:50:15 AM
Hello folks,

My name is Armando i need .009 to invest in one business in cancun tourism, i will give a collateral of 2 prepaid cards with 1,000 each one, you can book activities or expensive resorts in your vacations all inclusive with 2000 USD of dicosunt in the most expensive hotels.

My bitcoin wallet is:

3GWJtdjoJvTSdnFha6ihJEELSqutDYYKGp

I wil instanly send you the code of my cards wth the linkpage.

That's lot valid collateral. Prepaid gift cards aren't going to be able to be used by the lender because otherwise they would be spending the collateral. So really, whenever you want to, you are able to spend the collateral that is supposed to protect the lender.

Even if it wasn't reversible, discount cards have close to no value. It'll have to be very specific to the case, someone has to be going to vacation recently to the specified hotels to be able to use these cards.

Sell these cards on a online market site or even ebay, you'll find better success than here where people are ever suspicious of carded things.
2804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Realistically, how do you think bitcoin will perform this year? on: January 22, 2018, 09:48:14 AM
So, as many are well aware, Bitcoin saw a huge rise in 2017, peaking over $20,000 in some regions;

Of course, it would be tremendous to see those kinds of gains again in 2018, but with regulatory pressure coming down hard, bitcoin has in more difficult waters than ever before.

With segwit acceptance increasing, and the advent of the lightning network likely by year end, how does bitcointalk think BTC will perform this year, and why?

I expect the price of bitcoin to stay in between $8000 and $30000, there may be fluctuations that are outside of that bracket but that would be something that is temporary and short lived, as the pendulum should always return to its initial range eventually. Just like this dump, even though the price has gone under $10k, it didn't mean that it went under for long because the real support is at $10k mostly.

It's hard to predict exactly what will happen, since there are so many outside influencers that can't be predicted in the month of january like governments. I think that the price increase will slow down compared to last year, aka no more doubling every 3 months this year. But bitcoin should still see daylight from this bear market right now, climb to $15k-16k, and the challenge the $20k barrier again.

For an investor, your portfolio should be designed to work in every scenario, and no scenario should result in you losing all of your money. Don't put your eggs in one basket, even if it's bitcoin.
2805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin get to drop to $5,000 and below in 2018 on: January 22, 2018, 09:36:52 AM
With continuous articles getting released and spread about crackdowns on crypto, I think yes. This people who are against bitcoin are taking this opportunity when it is defenseless but even if it drop to $5k by their efforts, it will bounce back easily.

Actually, these articles have already done the maximum damage they could have done in my opinion. And that resulted in bitcoin barely reaching under $10k and when it did, people quickly bought their way back up to over $10k.

So for bitcoin to just drop to $5000 and below by these FUD articles, or regulations, i don't see it happening. Unless every single government in the orld decides to completely ban bitcoin, then bitcoin price will obviously crash.

But that's not going to happen, as we know. We're probably not over with the price hikes just yet. Remember we're still looking at $20k as a target here.
2806  Economy / Economics / Re: China and Bitcoin Mining on: January 22, 2018, 08:43:37 AM
I've personally believed that china banning all things bitcoin related is only a matter of time. They're just trying to do it step by step - first by banning bitcoin exchanges, now basically urging mining operations to move overseas. And this has caused a drop in the price of coin back to under $10k, alongside with Indonesia's ban on bitcoin transactions in its country.

I believe it to be a panic sell situation just like last year, September. China announced the ban on trading sites, and price went from $4k+ back to $2.9k.

That's a 35% drop, approximately. And this time, it's around 30% as well. There are a lot of similarities in both scenarios and of course, right now bitcoin is already far above $2.9k. So i think buying now is a great idea.
2807  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ratings agencies soon to release crypto ratings. on: January 22, 2018, 08:32:34 AM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/two-new-services-could-help-investors-rate-cryptocurrencies/

So next week Weiss, an independent ratings agency, releases ratings on multiple coins. They're saying each rating is based on thousands of data points. As they're rating vapourware like Cardano and Tron I have no idea how this is going to work.

Will this deeply move the market and yourself? Will anyone give a shit?

Some people will definitely look at the ratings agency's crypto ratings as a guide to investing. What are the guidelines, though? What is 1 and what is a 5? Just because something has good technology and good team, doesn't mean that it'll blow up.

But if a ratings agency is willing to rate cryptocurrencies, it means that they are acknowledging the overall legitimacy of cryptocurrencies as an investment. It's not just a ponzi scheme or whatever. This may convince some people to invest in cryptos.

Whenever the ratings actually come out it should result in a pump. The question is when, not what.
2808  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if central bank release cryptocurrency, any effect on current market? on: January 22, 2018, 05:24:19 AM
There seems a sign that central bank are currently interested in the blockchain. So what will be the effect on current cryptocurrency if central bank release their own coins? will it be a good news?  Huh Huh

I'd say it'll have a positive impact on the current market.

It will promote cryptocurrencies to the masses without us even having to do anything. The central banks are literally going to be doing the advertising for us in a sense. But then some investors may be more interested in central bank cryptos than actual cryptos, and be investing in them. So basically the decentralized cryptos market share may be taken up by centralized cryptos.

I don't think that's going to happen though. What we know for sure is that the government isn't going to let go of their ability to print money at will, so the cryptocurrency is really just a digital fiat currency, that's all.

Once a government issues their own currency online and promotes it, people will realise, hey this is not the real deal. The real deal should be 100% decentralized in production. And they'll rush to buy up the decentralized blockchain tokens.
2809  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I have problem Transfer from cold storage on: January 22, 2018, 04:48:12 AM
I have problem Transfer from cold storage  www.yobit.net
Help me plssssss

What do you mean?

Yobit is an exchange not a cold storage... If you want to transfer your money from cold storage then simply send it. What does it have to do with yobit? Please make your op more clear, how do you expect anyone to be able to help otherwise?

I suspect that your problem may be that when you withdrew, yobit gave you the status code of transfer from cold storage. That means that their hot storage is probably empty right now and they have to move funds around in order to process your withdrawal.

You could ask about it on the trollbox, let mods know about the situation etc. Also create a new support ticket if you haven't already.
2810  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Please unfreeze my YoBit account on: January 22, 2018, 04:40:33 AM
What happened: yobit account frozen for 3+ months

Scammers Profile Link: not sure who precisely froze it. Can't get a response
Amount Scammed: ~1 BTC in value(lots of altcoins)
PM/Chat Logs: I can provide screenshots of numerous attempts to reach support on YoBit website. Not a single message got a response
Additional Notes: Account name: psleo. Doesn't matter what I do I am not able to get a response from anyone. Did anyone run into this issue in past? Did anyone managed to get ahold of anyone there? Official reason for freeze is small trades. I am confused since that's what exchange is for in my understanding - buying/selling cryptos. Blacksmith, Warden , Matveevka, Dominikherzog Please Answer

Screenshot of all attempts to contact support. All tickets are in status: "New" and no responses

Not the first time at all, yobit is full of shit. They list new altcoins every single day that are used for nothing but pump and dumps but they do not care about their customers satisfaction whatsoever. Tons of people have their accounts frozen, just like you.

Complaining to mods have no effect in my opinion. Lots of people believe that mods have control over the situation, but i believe that they are only in charge of the trollbox and if you complain excessively on the trollbox, you'll get banned and will only get you even deeper in shit.

Since you were naive enough to believe that yobit was a trusted place to store 1+ BTC, then you'll just have to face the consequences and wait.
2811  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet.org - "missing" tokens for 1.5 months on: January 21, 2018, 10:01:05 PM
This is your own fault. You do not hold the private keys to the addresses and the Wabi addresses are probably different to their Ethereum addresses. They are not the same as far as i know, meaning that whatever is in one address does not translate to the other. Why did you even send Wabi tokens to ETH addresses when clearly they have got no plans of supporting wabi back then?

What you'll have to get them to do is basically import their keys into a wabi compatible wallet, which i doubt they're going to be willing to do.

What you did was basically the same as sending eos tokens to an ETH address on freewallet. Of course you wouldn't get your funds.

Now, you can just sit back and wait. It's about as much as you can do.

Yep, Its my fault to trust in a wallet like Freewallet.org, but you are wrong. Wabi tokens are ERC20 tokens built on Ethereum blockchain so you must store them in a ETH address.

Yes, i made a mistake thinking that I have access to the private key, even no backup is supported by them.

And yes again, I made a mistake thinking that they supported Wabi. Thats why Ive waited for one month until they finally add the token. I didnt blame them for not adding Wabi in one month, Im blaming them because theyve already add the token, the tx is in the wallet and transferred to their cold storage and my funds are still missing. Im blaming them because they dont answer my emails, and when they do, they dont care what my problem is, they just say "keep waiting".

I know that im screwed, but I hope that they finally can solve the problem and of course Ill write it here, maybe itll help someone in my situation.

It's not a problem of trust, really. It's a problem of you sending wabi erc20 tokens to their ETH address when they've clearly not have supported it yet. Yes, Wabi tokens are stored on the ethereum blockchain. But if they don't support it, then you're screwed.

I think you misunderstood the fact that you had full access to your address on freewallet, and thus led to this error.

Even though this is your own fault, i agree. They should be at least responding to your emails, even if they want to give you a negative response. Don't expect too much, though. If they can't even respond to your support message in a timely manner, why would they even bother doing all this for you?
2812  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Error - Can`t send anything out of BlockChain wallet on: January 21, 2018, 10:55:01 AM
How about the coins I have and got stuck in BlockChain? I can`t send them anywhere

All your coins on your blockchain.info account will still be there... As long as you can see them and verify them on a block explorer. Don't worry about that aspect. Since we don't know what is causing this and you've already tried higher fees, then pretty much all you can do is to import your recovery phrase into a supporting wallet.

What i recommend is take your 12 word phrase that they gave you at sign up, create a new wallet in electrum, copy paste the phrase when it asks you what would you like to do, import a backup or create a new wallet, and then you should be able to access your funds that way.

Your funds are not stuck... It's probably just a bug.

Let me know if this solution works, or if i have misunderstood any part of your problem.
2813  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Lendexcoin.co SCAM? Has anyone had the same experience as me? on: January 21, 2018, 10:35:10 AM
The most important thing isn't even whether or not his concerns are legit or not. The most important thing is your promises on your site, and clearly it's "bitconnect-like" promises. And look at where bitconnect is right now.

- You promise up to 48% monthly returns from "lending" - where is this money coming from?
- On top of that, apparently you also earn money staking your coins...
- You estimate the price of your coin at $25 one month after your ICO. A fucking 2400% increase from your ICO price.

You're clearly delusional if you believe these terms. Nobody can deliver these terms, i promise. It's just another lending platform scam. I don't care if there are questions about your ICO, your entire project is worthless and you're trying to put a price on it.
2814  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC inching toward 12 K again. on: January 21, 2018, 10:08:26 AM
bitcoin price may not "rocket to the moon" for now but at the same time there is no reason for it to drop any more.

right now it is the recovery after the big drop and we still have not  reached the normal level which is above $14000. it first needs to get there, have some consolidation and then start rising fast like before. it may take until next month  though.

Exactly, it's hard to rocket to the moon again when you may already be on the moon or close to it. But why would it crash again? Regulation is a huge concern right now, yes. But just because China bans miners, Indonesia bans bitcoin trading have not deserved to drop the price so much.

We're in the recovery phase right now... Bitcoin has been panic sold, and whenever there is FUD people are quick to turn in and sell, which is exactly what we saw a week ago. And what always happens after the FUD is over? Markets rise and everything is fine again, bulls come again.

Investors are still undecided, thus the price floating around aimlessly right now. But eventually, the projectory will turn upwards.
2815  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: did you try genesis mining? on: January 21, 2018, 09:51:48 AM
i search about this company and i think they are legit and i'm planning to invest on this company, can you please give me some reviews to those who tried this? or what do you think about this company?

Genesis mining has been here for a long time, and I believe that most newbies to cryptocurrencies have tried its cloud mining services. Most people just do it for fun, but some people do it for the money, and usually they won't get any.

They are one of the few, if not the only one legit cloud mining site. Even hashflare has gone scamming their users. I would trust them to not fake mining, not steal your money, but i wouldn't trust them to make a decent return on your investment.

If cloud mining was indeed as profitable as some people say, why isn't genesis mining mining themselves? Think about it.
2816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why i think BTC is a bull trap atm!!!! on: January 21, 2018, 09:38:52 AM
- Bad news still around for btc from all corners, but suddenly it jumped from 9,200 to 12.000 if you see the history at highest volume btc exchanges, you see some people bought it in high volumes upto 2000x btc in 1x around same time.
- Futures contract expires Jan 28
-low volume, crash scared a lot of people
- look like ascending triangle
-Tether keeps being printed everyday by 50-100million, and backed by usd. To me it looks like
someone is buying BTC with fake/printed coins.  = Bigger btc manipulation trap.  = these huge btc jumps can only be caused by massive manipulation

It's all speculation right now and nobody knows for sure. Obviously it could be a bull trap and we're seeing the adjustment already, but i think that even if it is, it's going to go up first, to something like $20k and new all time high, before it gets dumped to the ground.

Plus, the counter arguments are there. We've seen these big dumps along the way so many times. It could just be one of those.

But this crash is definitely more scary because of the fact that bitcoin broke $10k, and a lot of people thought that it was over. I think if so many people bought in at such a short period of time and the price was rescued up to $10k+ so quickly again, it means that to break $10k again would be extremely difficult to do.
2817  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Freewallet.org - "missing" tokens for 1.5 months on: January 21, 2018, 09:34:26 AM
Ive never thought that my first ICO would be like this.

One month ago I registered myself in the WaBi ICO. I looked for an android wallet and, in a really bad election, I chose freewallet. I put the freewallet ETH address in the WaBi token sale and I sent the ETH. When the tokens were given, the problem began. Freewallet.org, didnt support WaBi, "it isnt their fault" I thought and sent them an email, they answered me telling me to wait, so I waited...

Finally WaBi tokens were added to their App but... my tokens didnt show up... my funds were 0!!! WTF?!?! Then, I sent an email again but I got no answer, I sent them some tweets but no answer as well. Finally I wrote my problem in the Play Store and they quickly answered me, telling me to wait... they didnt even ask me what my problem was!!!

I keep telling my problem in the Play Store and they finally listened to me. They tell me to wait some days... but ONE MORE WEEK has gone since that day and they havent answered or solved my issue.

I really need the money now and It looks as they dont care about their customers... I will be reporting all the news from now on here.

What you did was basically the same as sending eos tokens to an ETH address on freewallet. Of course you wouldn't get your funds.

Now, you can just sit back and wait. It's about as much as you can do.
2818  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Yobit SCAM, "Transfer from cold storage" message, funds not being released on: January 21, 2018, 09:03:04 AM
Hi all, I wish I found this forum before signing up to Yobit.

I've had 193.551VTC (Vertcoin) stuck there since Sunday the 7th of January 2018. While it only took minutes from my Vertcoin to go from my wallet to Yobit, it's taken more than two days and the sending to another exchange still hasn't been processed.

The status is showing as Transfer from cold storage. But why would it be in cold storage when I added the coins there around less than an hour before.

I've had a look around and it seems that a lot of people have had this Cold Storage issue, often with their funds being left in limbo on an ongoing basis.

I've messaged support, and of course no answer. Usually I would be more patient with this, but considering I've seen that people weeks in to their support request still haven't received help, I don't think there's any point waiting.

If a Yobit representative is reading this please help my transfer my funds from your site.

From looking around this is a known ongoing issue. So simply for the fact that they hold people's money and don't warn against this, they have to be considered a scam. I've used multiple exchanges without any withdrawal issue, so it's not that I'm making any newbie mistakes. Yobit is simply withholding my funds for no real reason.

Any advice for dealing with this would be appreciated, whether it's legal or otherwise.

Just because you have deposited an hour ago doesn't mean that these coins can not be depleted by another guy who is requesting a withdrawal before you have. If the hot wallet was already low, and a person requests a withdrawal, of course the hot wallet could still be depleted.

But if you're waiting till now(not sure if you're still are since you haven't followed up), then it's not acceptable.

Nobody should have to wait for such long times for their funds to arrive, cold storage transfer or not. I'm surprised there isn't anyone else complaining about vertcoin withdrawals on yobit at the mmoment, though. Maybe this problem only affects you for whatever reason?
2819  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forum's stand in regards to users that have Free Tx accelerators threads on: January 21, 2018, 08:50:15 AM
Hi There,

Please let us know the forum stand in regards to users that have free Tx accelerators threads. I think they are all scammers.

You're right. Most of them are going to be scammers, because the services that they offer are in disguise simply a way of begging for tips for them. Some people even charge fees outright for acceleration and lie about "if you tip, your transaction will be accelerated quicker" when in fact they are just copying and pasting these transactions into antpool/confirmtx/viabtc.

But there are completely free services like Thekool1s's transaction acceleration service, which refuses to even be tipped.

So yeah, depends on the circumstances but users like coolwave are absolutely scammers, in fact he is even connected to a ban evader, and just a troll in general that has already been negged by multiple people.

As all of you know, "The Pharmacist" is abusing the trust system. You can see more of the details here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2789923.msg28522705#msg28522705

Join hands with me to stop this shit from him.

Answer the POLL above and lets see the whats happens  Cheesy
Most of his negative trust was given before he was even DT2 - it's funny that overnight when he became a part of the DT2 list there are infinitely more butthurt people complaining about their negative trust given by The Pharmacist.

All I see is that The Pharmacist is expressing what he feels, whether you are trustworthy or not. And his trust rating is completely legit, he's referenced to the instance that you have bid on an account as well.

Any account buyer right now will face a negative trust as penalty, more and more DT members are starting to do this.
