2901  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: friend wants to buy $20,000 in bitcoin on: August 25, 2017, 08:50:26 AM
And why someone has to lose more than 900 $ by selling your friend the 5btc for 20k?

dummy you dont lose $900 by selling, you sell for less than the other seller because you are a miner wanting to liquidate bitcoin for cash - which you then buy more bitcoin with for less than you sold, same day!

lots of people do this on local bitcoins - how and why the hell would anyone sell bitcoin ever in the first place?
worthless comment

You dont have to sound insultive as its a legitimate question. You also dont expect someone to make that kind of volume of trade without questions in other to clear the curiosity. Since you are in no capacity to make the trade available to him, I will suggest two options

1. Its either you buy in the US with cash because I dont know how easy that will be, then transfer the bitcoin to him or

2. Since he is on localbitcoin, then I dont see any issue as there are always buyers and sellers on that platform which in can peruse all you can do is to recommend any one you have for him or guide him to be more careful.
2902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when mining is no longer profitable or all coins are mined? on: August 25, 2017, 06:37:12 AM
Not going to happen any time soon but eventually the difficulty will be so hard that it is no longer profitable. Even if technology advances to where it is what about when all 21 million are mined?

We have seen the slow down in transaction times recently when people pulled off to mine BCC.

I know there are transaction fees but they are not that lucrative. When the big boys pull out of mining and there lots more coins in circulation how will the network function? Will it be super slow or transaction fees ultra high to keep it going?

Again I don't see this as any immediate concern but what about in ten years?

Its ok to be skeptical about the future and it will really  shape our line of think. I believe the individual who has developed something so magnificent as this and equally put a cap on the maximum that would be mined, increasing difficulty with the amount to be mined over time among others. I am sure he would have made provision for what happens afterwards because the years ahead is still very  much more than the ones spent and when we get there, we pass. Transactions fees will be paid and that would keep the system running.
2903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if BTC gets regulated? on: August 25, 2017, 05:51:05 AM
Hello,

Just read somewhere that BTC is accepted by strippers now? lol

I wonder what will happen if it gets regulated by the government? value would go down? perhaps consolidation?

Overall , what's the general outlook? Obviously, I understand it'll be personal opinion but still. Go ahead and share. I'll get to learn something new.

If bitcoin gets regulated, the outcome of that will be hard to determine  though but the fact is that its already regulated in some advanced countries but we are still standing strong so I guess this will follow through and it might eventually bring confidence of large corporations into the game as this is what will really make bitcoin get to the point of massive adoption which we are all hoping for but this won't coke cheap though.
2904  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.1 BTC With collateral on: August 24, 2017, 09:06:18 PM
alright first of all the collateral must be something that can be sold (instantly) and not waiting until the dev ANN
second. you are not sure that the price of 1 MINEXCOIN will be 0.0023.. BTC !
as that being said if you don't have another type of collateral i suggest you lock this topic cause i doubt that somebody will lend you.

Where you get it wrong is that collateral is something that is available for sale. If that is the case then there is no need for him to come for the loan rather he could have exchange it at the exchange. So, I think he has a valid collateral but who am I since I am not going to make the loan available and even using the quoted price, the amount is over 100% of the amount asked for.
2905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casinos on: August 24, 2017, 06:28:08 PM
Hey everyone. How many of you play at a bitcoin casino? Do you play at mBitcasino? DO YOU GUYS FEEL CHEATED EVER SINCE BITCOIN PRICES SKYROCKETED?! If yes I would like to hear your story. Because I feel as if I have been CHEATED thousands of dollars. Roughly at least 10k.... and with such came a huge amount of never ending consecutive losing spins that are so consistent as it feels as if RNG is not applied, more like scripted is what I would recall it.

The best advise is that you waited too long to have made a decision to quit because the 10k dollars didn't happen at once, it should be tranches but you waited long enough to lose up to that amount. One thing about gambling sites is that the moment you doubt your losing, the best is to stop and move to other platforms you can have some element of trust in. There is no way to proof that they cheated because they would have cover their lapse if any of such happened.
2906  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Friends, may I have your help? on: August 24, 2017, 04:45:33 PM
Hi Friends

We are ETTA Games. May I bother you for awhile and have your kindly suggestions or comments on our product?

We launched our 1st game(ettagames.io) last week, and we are happy there are many friends visited our site and experience the Free Games(Thank you all very much, really!), but we found only few people did place a bet. My heart is broken.

I am wondering if it's possible you can share your feeling on experiencing our game with me and what stop you from making a real play if you visited our site previously?

Any feelings or any reason, and I will deeply appreciate it that any message from you, it will help us to build the best product in blockchain.

That will be great if you can reply here directly or message me.

Currently we only accept ETH to play our game, but we are working on to accept Bitcoin and will be launched in September.

If this is not allowed to post here, please kindly let me know and I will remove it immediately.

Thank you all in advance
ETT

Even though I am just reading about the site now but I don't expect that a site recently launched little over a week ago would start experiencing some amount of traffic you had envisaged even the one you witnessed are just for people who want to test the services. Gambling sites involve a lot of trust to earn within the community and even having to compete with several established name in the industry will take a while. All I will suggest is to keep up with you determination and not fail your clients and with time, you get to see increasing popularity.
2907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [FREE] Get free tokens (around 10$), as well as some tokens from me (2.5$). on: August 24, 2017, 02:54:02 PM
please say to me,  how can I join or participate this campaign.  I have coinbase wallet it is accept ? I say coinbase under ethereum wallet.  please say to me.

If you had taken your time to read the opening statement rather than just rushing to post, you have seen that you can actually ask for more information via PM and your curiosity would have been solved then you know if you are qualified to enter into the campaign without any issue.
2908  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Will Be $100 Tomorrow! on: August 24, 2017, 02:26:32 PM
I am getting tired of all these posts in this forum expressing apprehension over the current dip that Bitcoin got into. Rather than spread FUD, we should see the history of Bitcoin and by doing so we could realize that this is quite normal. There had been many price corrections in the past and there can be in the future.

Those new to Bitcoin have to just relax and hold on to their Bitcoin as soon our beloved coin can be back on surging. Remember that any dip in price can mean an opportunity for many to beef up their Bitcoin hoard...and that in turn will re-energize the whole market and before we know it Bitcoin is again slowly climbing up the hill.

Would you like to Bitcoin to go down as $100? Of course yes, so that we can all buy as many Bitcoin as we want. Though it is just a dream...it might not happen.
The spreading of FUD is actually a form of cancer that needs to be cut off or ignored by the majority of people in the crypto space you are not the who is tired of such. The moment there is an increase in price, you start seeing them coming with when will it reach the sky but the moment a dip is witnessed even temporarily, they are quick to fill the forum with threads of it bursting and the likes. If anyone cannot control his emotions, then crypto is not for you.
2909  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: August 24, 2017, 07:21:37 AM
Speaking frankly, I think crypto currencies especially bitcoin has the potential to overtake fiat and that is why there have been some attacks against it by some governments because they know if its left unchecked, it then pose a threat to their dominance over our daily lives and that's the potential that bitcoin has. Whether they will allow bitcoin live to achieving this potentials is another discussion entirely.
2910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will bitcoincash / BCC price be equal to bitcoin / BTC price? on: August 24, 2017, 06:50:00 AM
When the first opening will be how much the rate / selling of bitcoincash / BCC, will it be equal to the price of bitcoin and can BCC survive in the market?

What do you think about this?

This will not going to be happen were BCC will become equal into bitcoin, maybe in their dreams Grin
Because the support of bitcoin at the present are still much higher than the BCC, and as I observe even BCC increase bitcoin became also aggressive to get higher. Which means, BCC has really no match into bitcoin.

Saying it won't happen is like knowing the future which we all know no one has the capacity to do that as we can only guess. The same way some people would have maintained their ground that bitcoin will fail in its first year but alss its still standing to the present moment and might live into the future. What I expect is that for that to happen where BBC will be equal to BTC then it will mean the whole blockchain supporting btc has been compromised without affecting BCC which likely impossible.
2911  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think market response of the segwit on August 24rd 2017 @ 12:30 UTC on: August 24, 2017, 05:16:23 AM
Hi

What do you think market response of the segwit on August 24rd 2017 @ 12:30 UTC

Time may be changed.

Segwit is good news for users of payment, but what do traders think ?

Bitcoin market price will rise up, or not.

I think segwit is useful, for Bitcoin will be more higher price !

Now,market price is going down...

Why?

The day is already with us and few hours to lock in to the time zone op was referring to but I think to traders are still maintaining their position for now looking at how things will unfolds. There will surely be an impact on price so far its a technology aims to improve the performance of what is being done before but at the same time, I don't see the effect happening immediately rather we need to wait for 2 or 3 days for the effect to start materialising the same thing from what we witnessed in the earlier part of the month.
2912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price BTC after 23 August? on: August 23, 2017, 09:17:49 PM
Many predict today's date and so on, and ultimately bitcoin prices remain stable, and can not be separated from the $ 4000 price tag.
I think, bitcoin prices will continue to increase in early September next month.
The price has begun to move forward crossing $4200, maybe this time the price crosses $4500 as the growth gas begun from the price less than $4000. Use any consideration of the time period the growth is taking Place. Hope the same continues for a longer time period without much of deviations or drastic drops.

Today is the 23rd and in few hours we would have forgotten about this day to get ready for another battle that will give room for myriad of discussions and threads about how the price will react to such secenero. But I am happy that bitcoin price exercise some level of stability at this time and if will be seeing some high changes in price, we will need to wait for the next few days in other for the benefit of this day to sink in.
2913  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I WAS SCAMMED BY A LEGENDARY MEMBER (glen123) on: August 23, 2017, 07:37:43 PM
Will the admin ban this account? The guy is still steals the money of persons like me.

Its unfortunate that you had to be scammed by an high ranking member who should even be a torch light to others coming but because they lack morals they care less but at the same time by default in a public forum like this, the onus is on you  to be safe. A mere "change email recently" should be a red flag that should not be ignored for whatever reasons. But you have learnt your lessons and I am happy you came out for others to learn. Just keep tab on NetTeller because they are the one that can do something about it at this time.
2914  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Transferring btc from trading site to other trading site. on: August 23, 2017, 04:55:31 PM
I try transferring my btc from Livecoin to Nova btc so I can buy the altcoin available in Nova.. But almost 2 hours my Nova btc balance is still zero. Is it possible to transfer your BTC from livecoin to Novaeschange.

Newbie here. Thanks for the advice.

Its ok to really ask questions when you are in doubt or not clear which in this case an answer has been provided and I would appreciate if you can come back and share your experience as to whether your balance has been reflected or not. Although the time lag is much as it could cause unneccessary panics and even loss because coins price changes by the minute. You need to know the time livecoin process payments whether in real time or in batches so as to put your mind at rest. In conclusion, the two sites are reputable platforms which wont scam your money. It will definitely will, if it hasnt already.
2915  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT: Etctrade on: August 23, 2017, 12:01:29 PM
The first time I stumbled on this site, I was almost giving it a consideration because the site was so well designed and even supported. What saved me was just asking for reviews on Google and that was it. Anybody who falls for all this scams is because of either greediness or laziness to make research which will later burn hands. Whether ETCtrade and ETHtrade are the same, it does not matter because I wont even be checking it out. They are all scams all together.
2916  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sportsbet.io scammed me for 1.5 bitcoins - NEVER PLAY HERE on: August 23, 2017, 08:17:58 AM
From what you have put forward its obvious you have been scammed but I doubt if you can really proof this because the only person that would be responsible is the man you had the chat with and I am also sure this is not the first time you will be making such deposit. How did you do the previous ones that didn't result into issues? What is the right process to follow in depositing? Evidence that the conversation happened and even the transaction id? These are questions to be answered.
2917  Economy / Economics / Re: A wise strategy for your bitcoin on: August 23, 2017, 06:39:08 AM
Hello everyone, I want to share about my strategy with bitcoin and I need your advice.
So the example is, I've buy bitcoin in price $2000/btc with amount $750 so I have 0.375 btc. When the price climb to $4100/btc, I sell my 0.184 btc to get my first capital and get $754.4 and 0.191 btc left .then when the price dump again to around $3900, I buy it again with my $754.4, so I get 0.193xxx btc and  my total btc is 0.384xx. With my $750 I can keep increase my bitcoin with this strategy. So what do you think. Am I doing right with my bitcoin? Or you have any advice. Please explain.

There is really no other way to go about this that you have not already done and I am not sure anyone would think otherwise but the issue here is that if you want to maximise your returns within the period of waiting time, then you should lay your hands on alt coin because the margin of change in those axis is always high and you could turn out returns faster with the right timing and of course doing it intelligently.
2918  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 'real' Bitcoin on: August 23, 2017, 05:06:25 AM
So everyone is fighting to argue that their prong of the fork is the 'real' bitcoin.  But that distinction is clearly behind us now.  There is no 'real' bitcoin.  Rather there are 3 prongs each of which share the same genesis block and early history.  Bitcoin now includes:

  • Bitcoin 1 : Bitcoin Cash
  • Bitcoin 2 : Bitcoin SegWit2X
  • Bitcoin 3 : Bitcoin Core

To help all members of the community, it is beneficial that everyone stop fighting over who will be the 'real' bitcoin and clearly distinguish between all three viable networks.  Further fighting over the 'Bitcoin' brand is damaging to all three.  When writing about your favorite prong, please use the designators above.

I don't understand why there would be confusion in anyone's mind although for newbies, it might create some amount of confusion aside that I see no issue and with proper amount of information, their ignorance is cleared. But for everyone who is already involved even if there are 5 forks we all know the platform I mean the original body they are coming out from and those are the ones that decides what happen afterwards.
2919  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop-Loss ideas on: August 22, 2017, 09:22:47 PM
Hello; I'm pretty new at trading crypto. I'm interested about thoughts and strategies about stop-loss percentages and strategies you guys use. at first I would not sell at a loss regardless my motto was "at least 5% profit, always" but if I want to trade more with a limited budget, I need to back out from certain coins even at a loss. that's why I'm interested about this topic.

Stop loss idea to me is just common sense and that is setting a limit to what you can absorbed and be decisive when you want to make decision and at the same time never be ruled by emotions because that is one common mistake in trading. But when the above is settled, you are sure to not only limit the losses but also be able to make reasonable profit from various trading activities.
2920  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which strategy is the safest investment? lending or holding btc. on: August 22, 2017, 07:54:38 PM
Hello

I have 100 btc on exchanges. But i am very stressful for daily trading because their flow of price.

So i am looking for doing with the safest investment strategy.

How do you think about the usd lending on bitfinex?
BTC lendinh on bitfinex or poloniex?

Which one is more safer? and Can you recommend me for lending bot?

Holding bitcoin should forever be the last option and that will be for an individual who does not take any risk whatsoever but in your own case, to make that amount would mean you must have taken quite an amount of risk and with a reputable platform like poloniex where you are sure that your funds can come back, then its better to go that route as your turnover  be more frequent than having to hold and checking price intermittently but you can equally go for the two options by spreading your risk.
