3681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes you've done with Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2017, 10:39:11 AM
It seems mistakes over here are unavoidable and it will even be surprising that the same mistakes put on record here will still be made by someone else in the near future when there is a platform for record keeping like this. In my own case, my mistake was trusting a ponzi scheme after reading that at the beginning they pay then scam later. So, I joined the site at the very time it begins and to my surprise as at the time for me to make withdrawal like 3 days later, the site has gone scam and that was how my money went down the drain.
3682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will storing bitcoin kill it? on: March 07, 2017, 08:41:34 AM
If everyone start storing bitcoin and there is no single transaction for days, all miners will quite mining as without transaction there would be no reward.
Will it not kill bitcoin and make it useless?

Like someone has rightly said that its merely a theory because the end of someone saving is the beginning of another person saving and you yourself cannot have to buy to save if someone somewhere is not willing to sell and that is why it wont work that all of us will just decide to save at once. If we even assume to save at once, should we also be able to meet life challenges that requires money all at once? I guess that will not be possible in all sincerity.
3683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICOs worth investing on: March 07, 2017, 07:21:15 AM
I believe in Gnosis and Qtum, both are in my radar

Qtum just got blacklisted by icocountown, sorry but is seems that those guys are scammers.

If its actually true, then its unfortunate that after the series of hype that took over the forum several weeks ago and everybody was like that is the next  big thing to come around but unfortunately this is what we have. Even on their thread, its a tug of war with motions and counter motions with series of evidences coming from left right and centre any one could have predicted the outcome and even if it was not blacklisted, I doubt if the project will survive the exposure.
3684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are dice sites reliable? on: March 06, 2017, 07:49:50 PM
Some sites are reliable some are not and they are the ones that have booked a space at the scam section of the forum. But for others who have stand the test of time, I can say they are reliable and the moment they fail, a space will be kept for them. The community I just too robust to serve as the source of information for sites to play and to determine whether one is reliable or not.
3685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: March 06, 2017, 07:06:31 PM
I wonder how you do your research if a gambling site is scam or not?

Why should you even bother yourself about whether a gambling site is scam or not where we have reputable sites on the forum that have even proven themselves over the years and trust me the community cannot be wrong at least one person would have made efforts to reveal the scam. But if you want to know, then you have to go to the scam accusation section of the forum to learn what they did and see if you can apply some.
3686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is now the time to buy on: March 06, 2017, 05:09:49 PM
Every time is the time to buy so far you can afford it and ready to stand by the risk of whether its going to fall or rise. The issue is if you wait and say I wont buy now because you dont know what will happen the next minute or day, you will still blame yourself when that day comes so to why you didnt buy today. Its a risk and those who are ready to make money take those risks.
3687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think Ethereum could break $1000 as well? on: March 06, 2017, 04:31:04 PM
What's your opinion, will Ethereum reach $1000 some day?

Some day is no specific day whatsoever which could either be tomorrow or even the next ten years but the issue is every alt created wanted to pass that mark in the envy of bitcoin but bitcoin itself didnt get there in one day and as history would have it, bitcoin was as low as few dollars before becoming what it is today in which ETH didnt even go that low. Whether ETH will get there or not, is for the future to decide and large still falls on the developers whether they wanted it or not...
3688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Confuse about altcoin on: March 06, 2017, 03:25:45 PM
Beginners will be very difficult to make money on this.
You will most likely fail.

And I want to ask you yourself, how does this your suggestion actually help him out? He is confused and wanted help where alot of people have actually offered some advice in other to alleviate his confusion. If you wont help then dont add to it. It would have been better if you had just pass by the thread since you have nothing to add than this.

Its true the forum is saturated with a lot coins but with proper understanding and time-taking you are sure of not falling into traps called 'the next big thing to take over from bitcoin'.
3689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Is not Worth More than 5$-10$ on: March 06, 2017, 02:54:46 PM
I think that Ethereum is not worth what price we have right now, it's just for contracts and new members think that Ethereum is big thing...
It's hyped because people think that this cryptocurreny will be used for payments in stores and websites, but actually not.

What you can say?

I believe everyone is entitled to his or her opinion in which you have rightly done and you should equally not be condemned for but if it were to be by wish or opinion that the price of coins are determined, I am sure the price of bitcoin would have been $100000 to a bitcoin but unfortunately, it does not work that way. The prices works, our opinion does not matter its on the basis of demand and supply and nothing else probably other factors that are not quantifiable.
3690  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of Bitcoin change more than traditional currencies? on: March 05, 2017, 04:27:23 PM
The reasons are quite many in which in that same vein appeals differently to people in my own case I think its largely due to the fact that its limited in supply compared to the population going after it. For example it becoming increasingly difficult to mine just one bitcoin compared to the total amount of people in the world trying to get one. That is enough reason for it to increase at a rate more than other currencies.
3691  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is no longer a currency on: March 02, 2017, 11:56:22 AM
https://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2013/04/bitcoin-is-no-longer-a-currency/274859/

An article from The Atlantic magazine - from 2013, way back in 2013 - declaring that bitcoin is not a currency, but "the ultimate tech stock"!

The four years since the article was written has proven that bitcoin is akin to an Amazon or Facebook (stock, not company), and much less "Pets.com". That's a good thing.

I have to agree with them. Every week that passes without a new company in any local metropolitan area deciding to accept bitcoin as currency is a two weeks further away from bitcoin actually being adopted, mainstream, as a currency.

Bitcoin is an investment. A stock or an asset class/commodity can be debated, although it doesn't much matter. Bitcoin is a store of value not a medium of exchange.

What do you think?

In my own opinion in what I can gather in this article that since companies are not accepting or adopting bitcoin on a daily basis, then its is not functioning as a currency. For that, I will have to disagree simply because of the fact that those its only those companies that are wide enough to make the news cannot just adopt bitcoin with re-course to government legislation which will give them the financial backing. The article does not even take into consideration the thousand of individuals coming into this world on a daily basis. I feel its good to say we are not there yet but we are moving and that is a step in the right direction.
3692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can i do with Bitcoin? on: March 02, 2017, 10:05:12 AM
Looking for how to use bitcoin should not be a problem one should be concerned about if one sees it as a currency or money. I am sure quite a number of us will know what to use money for if given enormous amount of it or even worked to earn a lot of that amount. For me, if I have a lot of things I will use money for and sources to get that in addition to my daily work is through bitcoin. I want to buy a house, buy a nice car, get to go on vacation, travel around the world among other luxury life can offer.
3693  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin prices go to the moon? on: March 02, 2017, 07:32:22 AM
The real price of how bitcoin go to the moon, whether at the price of $ 1,500 or $ 2,500 every post I read there were some who said bitcoin go to the moon, or when the price of bitcoin regular prices suddenly go up higher. this what is called bitcoin go to the moon?

Going to the moon could be a figurative expression at the same time, its a subjective statement in the sense that going to the moon might means different things to individuals starting up the threads. For someone who lost touch with the crypto-world when the price was around $600 then came back when its $900 then to him, bitcoin is going to the moon. At the same time, we might have another individual in another part of the world who just joined when the price was $750, and in two weeks, the price climbs above $1000 then the price is still going to the moon.
3694  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: March 02, 2017, 07:26:08 AM
Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.

My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology?
Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?

Good you said your observations but those people you said are mostly using it are only few who use for technical issues. To use bitcoin does not mean you have to be a geek when there is access to the internet and some basic training then the job is 90% done every other knowledge will flow even me and quite a number of people here dont understand as simple as white papers presented along side any project with as personally, I find it difficult to understand. And those tradesmen and other profession you make reference to, it will be surprising that the phones they use have the capacity to do every basic thing needed all they need is the guidance.
3695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ....... on: March 01, 2017, 03:38:51 PM
WHY PEOPLE WANT TO SCAM TO HAVE BITCOINS....

This is something that even surprises me why someone will derive joy in another person's misery. It happened to me when I was scammed so I can relate with that. But I guess the reason for that is the difference in our value orientation and what we all hold dearly. Everybody wants to have money and get rich but some people care less about the means only the end and that is why they care less about their names or reputation so far money is the end product of their action, everything else is secondary.

I am writing this for the administrator of the site to actually look into it. I tried registering on the site in other to have a feel of the services rendered but my hope was dashed when I needed to get a password in my mail after I had put in my email address but to my surprise, I have been waiting for the mail to arrive since four hours ago. I tried registering again but my e-mail has already been used by me. Admin kindly look into it.
3697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In which bitcoin gambling casinos should i invest my bitcoins ? on: March 01, 2017, 11:22:10 AM
No. Dont invest at any bitcoin casinos. Only few people who succeed on investing on bitcoin casinos. Its just like you were gambling also. Once the house loss. You loss also. When the house wins. You win also. Thats how it works. Also it takes time to earn back your ROI. Why dont you gamble it yourself instead of investing it to a gambling site? I've invested once and its not successful. I suggest when you decide to invest in a gambling site. Just cut your bankroll to different gambling sites. You know, to make it balance.

I am sure he knows about the option of gambling before coming to ask about where to invest his money. And what he wants is a suggestion on where and not on whether he should invest or not. Every investment comes with its own risk and benefit but personally me, I still prefer to invest than to gamble it because for the former case, one can easily reduce his losses by the you take a look at its standing any particular point in time rather than the former in which the whole fund can just go like in a single attempt.
3698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BIT.AC :: MULTICURRENCY WALLET :: BUILT-IN INSTANT EXCHANGE :: Affiliate Program on: March 01, 2017, 08:58:53 AM
If you get online anytime you can still check the site. It doesn't cost much most especially that you are carrying its avatar and it is getting u paid. (on a lighter mood). I was of the opinion that we should have register on the wallet and get our payment on the address from the it to have first hand information about it.

I agree with you on this as we have other campaigns making this possible especially gambling sites that pays into the address generated on their sites this will provide the opportunity to even have a firsthand experience of the services one is advertising and even explore the other features of the site. In that way to, one can even plough back into the business by keep on using the service even after the campaign has ended.
3699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we encourage anyone to develop self control in order to minimize gambling? on: February 28, 2017, 05:48:29 PM
Self control is within everybody and no one needs to be told to be self control by default, its in everyone the attitude we display towards it is what differs as what might be self control to me, might be within the acceptance region of another person. In the case of gambling, I dont think its necessary because the assumption I have concerning anyone engaging in gambling is that he / she is fully responsible for his action so if the result should come out of self control or lack of it, he/she should be ready for its consequence.
3700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about bonuses on btc casino ? on: February 28, 2017, 05:44:37 PM
Me, I care less about casino bonuses over here and the reasons are not far fetched among which include

1. No one can really make decent amount with bonuses imagine claiming a faucet of 5 satoshis, I wonder until when that will make something worthwhile.

2. All bonuses are really bonuses in the real sense because there will always be some sort of conditions attached to anything of such in which is hidden. The next you hear is admin blocking or denying your winnings because of violation of one terms regarding bonus which you never knew existed. Several threads on this forum is enough evidence to that.
