2921  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: NEW! BTCLexicon.com - The most comprehensive bitcoin glossary anywhere! on: April 10, 2021, 04:36:44 AM
You've done it again [another great website] Wink

Suggestions:

  • Show all of the words on a single page as opposed to listing only three for each letter.
    - It'll be useful when it comes to using CTRL + F [I do know there's a search bar but this way it's quicker].
  • It'd be nice to see a short definition while hovering over each word.
    - For in-depth explanations, they could refer to each of the respective pages.
  • A light/dark toggle switch button.

2922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2021 - Global Crypto User Index on: April 09, 2021, 04:34:45 PM
even though most cryptos are hodled (39%),
Unfortunately, that also means those that are responsible for the 39%, are using cryptocurrencies [especially BTCitcoin] for the wrong reason and shouldn't be labeled as true BTCitcoiners.

60% of users keep their digital assets within exchanges.
That's quite shocking and significant at the same time...
- Someone needs to point them to the following known phrase: "Not your keys, not your coin!"
2923  Economy / Services / Re: ••••••••••Personalized gifts available••••••••••••••••• on: April 09, 2021, 11:12:33 AM
I was wondering if I could get a feedback on some crafts that I started doing.
~Snipped~
and since I am just starting it would be wonderful to get any feedback.
Personally, I think the big flower box has more potential in comparison to the other one but you should probably consider moving away from letter designs and instead, come up with a creative style to make it stand out...
- Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful in its current state but I think there's room for improvement.

Best of luck Smiley
2924  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SMS.RED - instant SMS verification with real US sim cards ! on: April 09, 2021, 08:20:31 AM
Thank you for pointing out the terms problem, it has been taken care of!
You're very welcome...
- I was hoping you would construct it properly as opposed to completely taking it off [I guess that works as well].

About renting for longer than a month, what kind of duration do you have in mind? We certainly could arrange something.
Nothing in particular at the moment but if I were to rent a number for a long term, I would prefer to rent it for at least a few months to a year since some of the services tend to require revalidations [based on the type of actions that we take] from time to time.
- You can ignore this if we could rerent the same long-term numbers after the 30-day period is done.
2925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: soliton's Bitcoin Crosswords. on: April 09, 2021, 07:16:23 AM
All its words   have a lot to do with bitcoin as shown in the following picture,
I know I'm probably not supposed to ask questions but is #7 also directly related to BTCitcoin?

It’s been two days and no winner yet? Don’t keep my  next crossword puzzle waiting too long. It's ready but it will only be published once the second  one is resolved.
I've been trying since last night to solve the last one [#7] but had no luck [SS of my results without revealing the answers]...
- I'll update this post if somehow I manage to make it right but I highly doubt I'll be able to; At this point, I'm just guessing words that have nothing to do with BTCitcoin [my head is exploding].

Update:
It sounds good.  By all means you question is  within the extremely narrow bounds. And sure, thing  #7  is  directly related to bitcoin. Will give you a little bit more clue to #7.  This library may be  used in algos to build the bandwidth-optimized  gossip protocols.
Thank you for the added clue, I appreciate it Smiley
- I've been searching for the past two hours with no luck [I'm going to stop for now and resume at night].

Update 2:
Update: one of bitcointalk moderators has contributed to it.

Update 2 : I have added a companion  to this puzzle which could help https://crosswordlabs.com/view/solitons_bitcoin2_companion

2.across in this companion is the the same as 7.down in soliton's_Bitcoin#2

From soliton's_Bitcoin#2 you have already got one characters for #7 . From companion's 1.down and 3.down which are easy to solve you will add  two letters more. With three letters known and all the clues you should guess  the correct library.
Thank you for the added clues but unfortunately, I think I've been either cursed or my brain just automatically shuts whenever it sees the word library [SMH].
- Link

Update 3:
Don't lose heart, the task was  quite difficult and I made allowance for this.

From Update and 1.down of companion you have already learned that Gregory Maxwell is that man who has contributed into development of this library. Knowing the previous clue you could feed the search engine with following string "bitcoin bandwidth-optimized  gossip protocol Gregory Maxwell" .  This would you lead to this article https://www.cs.ubc.ca/~bestchai/papers/ccs19-erlay.pdf   By reading this article or using Ctr+F and "library" you could find its name i.e minisketch.

Read more on minisketch library.

You solved 90% of original puzzle + 2/3 of companion. Hope 2 merits will  cheer you up a little.
Thank you for the detailed explanation [I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to find it without you giving me the answer]...
- Honestly, I don't think I deserve those merits but I do appreciate them [thank you so much] Smiley

2926  Economy / Reputation / Re: Your Favourite Milestones: 12345 on: April 09, 2021, 06:24:07 AM
Thank you for the screenshot SFR10. I did not realise I was 50th in the posts made list.
I'm also going to thank SFR10 for the link to bpip.org, as I so rarely visit that site that I tend to forget it exists (no offense, Vod; I think it's an awesome site).  I just happened to check my profile a minute ago, and I was shocked that I ranked 35th in the "most posts" category--never would I have thought I was that high up.
Both of you are very welcome Smiley

Congratulations on your milestones and for sharing them, what will you do to celebrate your 6th anniversary in the forum when the month of June arrives?
Thank you, I appreciate it... I'd prefer to do something fun, maybe a game or a puzzle of some sort [with a small reward to motivate users].
- I should've done this last year but I forgot [SMH].

Also:  I'm the 12th most recognized profile.  Really?  That one I've got doubts about.
I'm not sure what type of algorithm is being used but perhaps, it's worth asking it "in here".
- Do you want to switch it? Cheesy

Update:
Maybe you can double the input from you in order to make up for not doing it last year  Cheesy

2927  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto CPA Traffic - Where is the best place to talk about it? on: April 08, 2021, 02:17:00 PM
Does Bitcointalk have any dedicated forum for Crypto CPA Traffic discussions?
No, it doesn't have a dedicated board for that subject.

If not - do you guys have any suggestions for the best place to start business discussions in this topic?
Based on all of the board descriptions, I think "Micro Earnings" should be the right board for that sort of discussion.

Quote
Micro Earnings
Faucets, rotators, web based games, and other services that are primarily based on ads and/or micropayments.

The following thread might come in handy [indirectly]: List of Advertising Networks
- If you see a blank page, disable your ad blocker.
2928  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: SMS.RED - instant SMS verification with real US sim cards ! on: April 08, 2021, 12:53:12 PM
I wanted to read the terms but it leads to a page with an error [404 NOT FOUND]...
- You might want to take care of that part since it makes no sense to agree to your terms upon creating an account.

  • We offer extremely easy to use and cheap long-term real number rental, just choose your SIM, and start receiving unlimited SMS on it.
Is there a way to rent the same number for more than a month [longest duration]?
2929  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [earnskins.gg] Earnskins is (very likely) a scam! on: April 08, 2021, 11:27:45 AM
@european_guy
I'm not that familiar with earnskins but I've seen a similar template on another scam website before [can't recall the name].

You might want to provide proof of some sort for everything that you just posted and update this thread with the following "Scam Report Format" + move it to the appropriate board [Scam Accusations] with the help of the "move topic" button from the bottom left corner of the page.
2930  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinHash.io - New Cloud Mining Platform on: April 08, 2021, 10:41:22 AM
This is unlike other cloud mining platforms which don't even have the hash power to sell you but just take your money after folding!
What sort of features your platform has in comparison to few other platforms that "do" have the hashing power that they're trying to sell?

pool mining and distribution will be done via one of the major mining pool partners such as Poolin or F2pool.
Are those already final?
- It'd be nice to see some sort of confirmation from their side.

We will remain entirely transparent and supportive with 24/7 phone, email and live chat support to uphold confidence in our service and to value-add as much as possible.
IMHO, I don't think those things that you mentioned, make you transparent.
2931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🏆🥉 [ANN] Crypto Awards - Ratings that can be trusted🥉🏆 on: April 08, 2021, 07:43:09 AM
Came here after reading a thread [probably by one of your team members] on meta...

3.8.6. the author left reviews about the same exchange or company under different user names;
What type of security measures you have in place to combat such issues? Is it based on IPs, content, or something else?

PROBLEM SOLVING
If the exchange/company solves the problem on the review with a negative score (from 1 to 3), the user has the opportunity to report this to the site Administration. This will have a positive effect on the company's rating.
Does it mean that you've notified every single one of the platforms that you've listed prior to their listings?

It's always nice to see another review platform but it's getting harder and harder to trust online ratings/reviews.
2932  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitcoin Forum on: April 08, 2021, 05:55:42 AM
Is there really no one among our community, administrators, moderators who can support bitcointalk with their opinion and assessment ...
This forum has been self-sufficient for a very long time [it doesn't need any kind of support whatsoever].

(the admin left his very first review)
Just to be clear, you're referring to one of the admins from this forum?
- If I was right, then which one?
2933  Economy / Reputation / Re: Your Favourite Milestones: 12345 on: April 07, 2021, 06:59:57 PM
Making 12345 posts is nothing to get all happy about or to celebrate but it is perfect excuse to at least start a thread to ask about which milestones you all reached and how those made you feel  Grin
Looks like that's not the only milestone... At the time of writing this post, you're the top 50TH poster in this forum [credit goes to "BPIP.org"]:
- The following "archived version" might come in handy.

So please post about how you felt about some of the milestones you reached and your journey there...
Thanks to your post, I paid attention to my post count [4884] before ruining it:
- Having said that, I managed to capture another one in the past that I really enjoyed its post & merit combinations.

Btw, my favorite milestone is June 12, 2020 [it marked my 5th year in this forum].
- I wouldn't be the same person without this forum.
2934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List Of Benefits and Opportunities With Bitcoin on: April 07, 2021, 08:04:29 AM
What benefits have you seen from Bitcoin?
Personally, allowed me to connect to the online world in terms of shopping, earning and etc...
- I happen to be partly from a country that is heavily sanctioned and since I can't use [whenever I'm visiting one of my countries] PayPal and most of the other payments services, with the help of BTCitcoin, I was able to overcome such issues.

Perhaps What types of people should be involved?
I'd rather mention what type of people "shouldn't" use it [it's easier] and it's greedy people [they always find themselves to be on the wrong side of things].

7 Figures Blogging Guide - How To Make $7000 Monthly Blogging for Profit
Care to provide some sort of proof for the highlighted part?

PRICE : $10 only.
It's really hard to imagine someone that makes somewhere between 7k [single domain] up to 15k [multiple domains] would spend time selling $10 guides.

The "7 figure" part in the subject field is misleading.

I don't know if anybody is even interested.
Those are history [some might be interested if you lower both of their prices].
- Having said that, I did find different results when searching on other platforms but I strongly believe that some of the sellers are trying to sell it for a price that's a lot more than they're worth.

  • You'll probably get more offers if you mention if you'll be using an escrow and a picture that clearly shows both products with your forum name and the date on a piece of paper.
2937  Economy / Goods / Re: FOR SALE: iPhone 11 Pro Max Gold 64GB unlocked on: April 06, 2021, 09:31:13 AM
Will accept 0.0135BTC
I would suggest listing your price in USD [volatility].

Posted Royal Mail Special delivery U.K.

Are you willing to use one of the escrow providers [except me] from this forum?

Nice pictures but you'll probably have a better chance if you follow "this thread" and add another one that includes the product you're trying to sell with your forum name and the date on a piece of paper.
2938  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Customer Acquisition Cost for a new exchange on: April 06, 2021, 07:53:26 AM
By the way, I'm doing research to launch a new crypto exchange but can't find accurate (or even not accurate) data related to the crypto industry CAC. Obviously, figures will be higher than Coinbase but I can't really estimate how much.
If I use forex platform numbers, they claim around 1000$ per customer, but I don't really believe that brand new exchanges are paying that much.
I managed to find one that shows the average for various industries [I do know you mentioned crypto industry but this is the closest one that I could find]: Average Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) By Industry

  • Surprisingly, their numbers [for financial services] almost match with what you've got from Forex:
    • $644 [organic]
    • $1,202[inorganic]

Even though those numbers heavily depend on how each of the exchanges tries to acquire customers, I strongly believe that when it comes to most of the new exchanges, it should be within the following lines:

Customer Acquisition Cost
Considering OkCoin is really small in the US, I’d assume that the biggest acquisition channel would be paid marketing and will include CAC into my revenue calculation. From what I’ve seen in the industry you can acquire User for roughly $50. Over a period of time I am assuming non-paid channels will come up (like referral) and acquisition will start reducing by 4% Month Over Month.
2939  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Most favorable country for the crypto market on: April 05, 2021, 06:57:19 AM
Which country do you think is the most favorable for the crypto market & its policy?
In addition to the above comments, you'll find a few more from here: The Crypto Enthusiast’s Dream: Top Countries That Tick All the Boxes
- Some of the policies and the regulations might've changed since it was published but for the most part, they should be accurate.

Upon having a short googling I found out that the most country that commonly used cryptocurrency is Nigeria, how this will come as I heard they banned any merchants or exchanges that associated with cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin.  But why not in Switzerland?  Cheesy

Based on the description of the survey, I think the results might be slightly off since the type of respondents [not sure how random they were] directly affects the end results.

Full Review of Crypto Ad Network:
You've made a great list [bookmarked] but not sure I would label it "full review" since you didn't explain each one of them individually [in-depth] and also the reason behind their respective ratings [especially for those that are unknown; e.g. Adcrypt].
