301  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: February 13, 2024, 12:11:02 PM
Has anybody else received this deposit bonus offer? I thought it was an interesting promotion that was generally available to everyone at the same time but couldn’t find any announcements on social media. Maybe it is like the 6 hour flash promo and appears randomly only to some users.

https://www.talkimg.com/images/2024/02/13/vKRJg.jpeg

- I neither have received that offer, nor read about that possibility. Can you publish its rules?

If you are familiar with the Multiply BTC bonus that is offered once you’ve wagered a certain amount, this is very similar. Once you activate the bonus and make a deposit, your deposit+bonus is locked and you have to wager 25x that amount to unlock it. Only a max of 10% of your original locked balance counts towards the wagering requirements in a single bet. Jackpot bets count fully towards the wager requirement.
302  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBTC CSS broken? on: February 13, 2024, 11:09:56 AM
You can ask in the thread dedicated to their website.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.0

To answer your question, I don’t know what CSS issues you are facing but I receive their emails fine. It could be the email provider or the client you are using which isn’t rendering them properly.

If you also have issues on their website it could be a problem with your operating system.
303  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Pseudo(?) self-custodial LN wallets on: February 13, 2024, 10:59:25 AM
Do you know if Breeze wallet falls into this category or not?
It's been years since I tried Breeze, but I remember that I could receive sat without any channel, which gave me the impression it is custodial.

It is not custodial. Many lightning wallets are doing this now. When you receive a payment they will open a channel on demand to your node. You will have instant inbound capacity by opening a channel this way, instead of having to send a few payments first before you are able to receive sats.

305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don’t you think BRC20 tokens need more spotlight? on: February 12, 2024, 02:55:05 AM
Bitcoin wasn't designed to support tokens natively on the base layer. Protocols like BRC-20 are a clunky workaround being used by opportunistic hucksters looking to make a quick buck. Most of they hype surrounding Ordinals, Inscriptions and various copycats was part of an astroturfed campaign. The mempool spam wasn't due to there being high demand for these tokens but it was a good way to draw attention towards these scamcoins. There are only so many uneducated investors you can fool and that's why we're seeing the buzz die down for the time being, until they can find new groups of people that are easy to sucker in. The scammers have already made a nice profit and can walk away but I suspect their greed, and the greed of VCs backing them, can never be satisfied and they will come up with some new spin to continue with these schemes.
306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Going against the grain. on: February 12, 2024, 01:54:57 AM
Unless you bought Bitcoin really cheaply, now doesn't seem like the best time to be selling. The halving is only 2 months away. If you don't need the money urgently then I would just wait and see how the price performs after this reduction. A large correction is to be expected at some point but currently things look very bullish for Bitcoin. ETF demand is helping drive the current pump and we are just at the beginning of the post-approval era. Based purely on precedent it is expected that Bitcoin will reach a new all time high soon after the halving.

Are you honestly saying all this by giving link to an article from 2021?  Huh

I’m not sure what you’re complaining about. Do you have better sources you can provide?

Aren’t you the guy who got upset and put me on ignore when I called out your dishonest claims about FreeBitco.in and also lied about your own faucet being provably fair?

A strategic quarterly burn of 50% of any profits ensures that the FUNToken retains value into the future.
What profits are they talking about? Can anyone explain?

Quote
FUN tokens are pre-minted with no further issuances in sight. There is a maximum supply of 17 billion FUN tokens created in an official FUN pre-sale on June 22, 2017. More than 80% of all tokens were distributed to industrial investors and purchasers during this pre-sale event.
Ok, so 80% of 17 billion is equal to 13.600 billion, correct? This was the amount distributed to early investors.

Quote
While 11.173B of the minted tokens were reserved for a second pre-sale, it was later removed from the schedule. More than half of these reserved tokens (55%) were burned, as they were categorized as surplus. The remaining 4.7B tokens were transferred to new owners in 2021. The supply is now fixed (no more can be minted) and is reducing with the quarterly burn.
Then how could 11.173 billion tokens be reserved for a second pre-sale, since there were only 3.400 billion tokens left, considering 80% of the tokens were already distributed during the previous pre-sale?

The profits that contribute to token burning is from Dplay and Xfun Bet.

I believe what they mean by 80% is the amount sold of what was reserved for the ICO. According to Cointelegraph, 21.3% of the supply was sold in the ICO. This would have been 3.6 billion tokens sold and would have meant that only 4.5 billion tokens were reserved for the first sale. After advisors and founders got 14.4%, the foundation that launched the token would have had a bit under 11 billion unsold tokens remaining, but depending on how they rounded the percentages mentioned in the article, it might have been exactly 11.173 billion that remained with them.

309  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Help us to remove Freewallet scam wallets from AppStore on: February 11, 2024, 06:19:39 AM
I still cannot comprehend why people are still using custodial wallets in 2024. Their rating in the App Store is really low. This will at least make  a lot of people hesitate before they decide to trust them with their money. A wallet locking people out of their account and asking for KYC is a massive red flag but they can use the excuse that they are doing it for compliance reasons and Apple or Google won't look into it much further. The best users can do is bring more awareness and leave bad reviews on their app store pages.
310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need more influencial women in crypto to help the gender embrace it? on: February 11, 2024, 05:48:02 AM
The narrative that women aren't interested in crypto has slowly diminished over time. Just because they don't get all the headlines like CZ or Justin Sun doesn't mean there aren't many women in the industry. The names you mentioned are a few of the most prominent examples. A decade ago it would've been difficult to name more than 1 or 2 off the top of my head. If people think there isn't enough women in crypto they should pay more attention and follow a more diverse set of people on social media. It is clearly a thriving demographic.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia April 20 WBC junior welterweight title on: February 10, 2024, 10:38:43 AM

So we will see, hopefully there's no rehydration clause or something that will put Ryan at a disadvantage. Haney is  huge favorite, Ryan 5:1 underdog hehehe. Probably it's because of his style, it will be very difficult for Ryan. And this is what the fans wanted and Oscar did deliver again.

Most likely another 1 million+ PPV for Ryan and then tickets sold out in live gates?

A rehydration clause would only hurt Haney, who gained 25 pounds between the weigh-in and fight night against Regis Prograis. It’s crazy to think that Haney is basically a natural middleweight and Loma, who is an undersized lightweight, still almost beat him.

Something which is interesting is that this is already Ryan’s second fight since losing to Tank. Meanwhile, Tank is still sitting on the sidelines without anything scheduled and coming up with excuses to avoid fighting Haney and other elite champions.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does even freezing a customer's account curb irresponsible gambling? on: February 10, 2024, 09:18:43 AM
Freezing a customer’s account will only be a temporary impediment. There’s endless options if they want to continue gambling. Losing access to your funds would make any rational person think twice about their choices, but some people get too caught up in emotion to consider the consequences.

Casinos can only do so much. Ultimately, irresponsible gambling can only be fixed if the person has the mental fortitude to control their behavior.
313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia April 20 WBC junior welterweight title on: February 09, 2024, 10:20:43 PM
We are all aware of Ryan’s limitations, which is why he will be a significant underdog. Ryan has the confidence in himself due to having beaten Haney in the amateurs 3 out of 6 times. This isn’t the amateur level anymore though. Haney has improved a lot since and become undisputed champion, while Ryan has yet to win a legitimate world title.

Despite lacking the accomplishments, Ryan is still sought after by these champions who are looking to capitalize on his social media fame. I’m expecting a wide decision win for Haney, although he has shown some more power at this weight class and with his excellent body punching it is possible that he could win by knockout.
314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: List of VPN Service Providers - 2023 on: February 09, 2024, 07:01:26 AM
Personally I would never use a service that censures my internet browsing in any way and in this specific case it just doesn't make sense (to me at least). This is just plain censoring - they are pretty much blocking you in seeing other providers offers because "supposedly" they are the best one. The fact that they claim they are the best privacy tool after suffering this breach[1] in the past is amusing to say the least. I would also like to point out that despise promising to release their full node audit in 2023, they still haven't done it[2].

Those filters are optional and not enabled by default but it is still stupid that it is something which they are offering as a suggestion. What is even more concerning is their fake news filter. There aren't any details explaining how it works but the icon for the filter seems to be a reference to Donald Trump's hair. Is this implying they will censor right wing websites when you turn this filter on? While I do not like Trump or the alt-right, VPN's shouldn't be censoring information which they find objectionable — bypassing censorship is one of the primary reasons for needing a VPN to begin with.
315  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Teofimo Lopez Vs. Jamaine Ortiz WBO Welterweight Title February 8 on: February 09, 2024, 06:41:59 AM
Teofimo was very lackluster but managed to edge out a decision. Jamaine Ortiz had a new Cuban trainer and his style tonight reminded me of Rigondeaux and Erislandy Lara because of how boring that performance was. Running around might have frustrated Teo but what was lacking for Ortiz was some offense. Teo also didn't do much but he finished the fight a little stronger and I had him winning those final two rounds, which made the difference on the scorecards.

If Teofimo struggled this much against Ortiz, it's going to be much worse against someone like Devin Haney. Teo called out Crawford but that is a fight he would lose badly. He should instead focus on somebody like Subriel Matias, whose aggressive style is a much better matchup. Even though there's a lot of risk, it will be a fan friendly fight that can elevate Teo's stock after some inconsistent and sometimes disappointing performances.
316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR Zcash and other private coins are getting delisted from binance on: February 09, 2024, 04:07:50 AM
We have seen the writing on the wall for some time so it is surprising that the price of Monero dropped by so much. The 10 confirmation requirement isn't something I was aware of, although I have often noticed that some instant exchanges will have Monero swapping unavailable due to some vague "network unavailable" reason. If people can't withdraw XMR because of this, it makes sense that there would be mass dumping as people exchange for something that is withdrawable.
317  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: February 08, 2024, 01:02:09 AM
Yeah 100% For me this comment is like advertising or shilling account because it only says good things about XFUN and Dplay without mentioning any negative. The words used, like "loads of choices, fast payment, and No KYC needed" sound like his trying to sell the platforms instead of giving honest feedback. Feels more like an ad pretending.

But not gonna lie after reading his comment I did check that website. . So, did he fool me? Hahaha

I have noticed this same type of shilling in the FUNToken telegram group. There is a few accounts that engage in obviously fake conversations with each other in order to try and shill the token and these casinos. I don't know if it's random dudes trying to pump their bags or if the casinos' owner is paying these people to shill for them. If it's the latter, it is not very effective because it makes people suspicious and those resources would be better spent on proper advertisement or a signature campaign.

318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: February 07, 2024, 11:34:28 PM
I wrote before that Fury is a cowardly trash, so I’m not at all surprised by this news. On the contrary, I would be surprised if the fight took place.
If someone considers me biased, then for example Alexander Gvozdik also expressed doubts about this whole story (even if diplomatically, but as they say, everyone understands everything).

So you're using a biased source to confirm your own bias? Oleksandr Gvozdyk is Usyk's close friend for many years so of course he is going to cast doubt on Fury.

In general, I am of course very surprised by this situation (in a global sense, since, in principle, I have lost interest in this clownery) because Fury is the obvious favorite, but he is simply afraid. I don't remember such a case in boxing or other sports. Avoiding a stronger opponent is reasonable and rational (albeit mean), but avoiding a (supposedly) weaker opponent is... I don’t know how to describe it.

Rejecting an unreasonable purse split when you are clearly the bigger draw isn't avoiding someone, it's common business sense. If Jake Paul agreed to fight Canelo only if he got a 50/50 split, then logically Canelo would reject that deal. Having to postpone a fight because of a harder than expected fight against a knockout artist is also not cowardly or chickening out, unless you're implying Fury intentionally allowed the record holder for most powerful punch to hit him, which would be an idiotic theory.

Freak accidents happen all the time. Errol Spence was in a horrific car accident, suffered a torn retina, was in another car accident and there are people stupid enough to say he had these incidents, some which were life threatening, because he was afraid of fighting Terence Crawford.
319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The "loaded slots" scam on: February 07, 2024, 06:58:55 AM
I have not encountered these types of ads on social media but I’ve seen some newbie accounts on Bitcointalk selling scripts which they claim can give you a guaranteed jackpot win. These are obvious scams to most people but there are some who are new to crypto that are desperate to make a quick buck that end up falling victim. Most online cryptocurrency casinos have provably fair odds and can’t be manipulated by a script running on your device. At best, they might be able to manipulate the html of a website to make it appear as if you won but it is a fake animation and the casino isn’t going to actually recognize it as a valid win.

For modern physical slot machines they are usually equipped with software that ensures results are randomly generated. It would be difficult to rig them without the casino’s knowledge. Even if someone did manage to rig them in the player’s favor, the casino would quickly find out and disable the machine.
320  Economy / Gambling / Re: MetaMask Crypto Casinos on: February 07, 2024, 05:38:57 AM
If you are serious and genuinely unaware of these matters, visiting TOP69 Crypto Casinos will offer you many useful insights. For example, you could find out that there are crypto casinos with bitcoin lightning, lists with no kyc crypto casinos (the real deal, no bulls..t), crypto casinos with no deposit free spins, crypto casinos with lucky wheel and many other interesting stuff.
Good luck!

I have tried some of these casinos before and noticed the option to register an account using your web3 wallet through WalletConnect or Metamask. I prefer this option because it requires the least amount of personal data. You can just leave the wallet empty if you are concerned about privacy and don’t want your entire transaction history visible to the casino. You will still be able to deposit to your account normally, by copy and pasting your deposit address into any other wallet.

For decentralized casinos it is a bit different and requires more trust because you might be required to approve a smart contract request if you want to participate in something like Metawin’s on-chain lotteries. In those situations it is best to set a budget and send those funds to a separate wallet, so your main wallet can’t get compromised, and only connect to casinos with good reputations.
