321  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Power Supply - EVGA G2 1000Watt or Corsair RM1000 Watt on: March 11, 2015, 06:41:26 PM
I don't think the EVGA G2 1000 has that PSU start up piece. All I'm trying to avoid is having to hook up that monster power cable. I grabbed a few of these, which I'll then insert the pins myself and jumper it. I have the tools to make them. This way I won't need to bother plugging in that heavy/long power cable.

They're mine! Nyah Nyah!  Wink Grin

Sorry. It's late and I'm tired.

The user "TheDreamer" has dibs on my 3 C1's for $600. He's going to a drive and pick them up, hopefully this weekend. Now my father also has 3 that he wants to sell. He said he would do the same deal. If you buy 2, then it is $500 cash. If you buy 3 then it is $600 cash. And yes, all 3 come with the complete cooling kit with upgraded pumps, kill coils, feser one coolant, etc. These are really hard to ship, so if anyone is in NJ or around picking them up, meeting me somewhere is probably the best thing to do. I have to work for the rest of the week (who doesn't?) but will be off on Saturday and Sunday. If you really are interested in buying the 3 from my father please let me know and I'll connect you guys. He also lives in NJ, little more North of me.

Thanks.

324  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SELLING] Antminer C1's on: March 11, 2015, 02:34:07 AM
Whats the asking price?

$500 for 2 of them and if you buy 3, then $600. I'll also throw in a bunch of extras. Fans, Feser One Coolant, kill coils, hoses, barbs,  etc. Everything is clean and tidy, just hard to move around while trying to keep the loop together. I have received a message from someone already and I'm negotiating with him now. If that falls through, on to the next person who would be interested.

Thanks.
325  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [SELLING] Antminer C1's on: March 11, 2015, 01:33:13 AM
are you shipping internationally?

how about only miner without cooling, is that a possibility? got some projects on my mind Smiley

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I'm only going to ship them in the US. Last time I shipped something out of the US  it got damaged and I never saw it again.

326  Economy / Computer hardware / [SELLING] Antminer C1's on: March 10, 2015, 09:35:55 PM
I have a couple of Antminer C1 water cooled miner's for sale. These are practically silent since they are water cooled. Both have been running with fresh coolant since I changed the coolant a few times to find the coolant I liked. I ended up using Feser One coolant with silver kill coils. The water loop is completely clean. Also, the pumps have been upgraded to a newer/better model than what came with it. Using the same radiator that came with it. Both are in perfect condition. My Dad also may want to sell one or two of his also. So there could be 4 for sale. His are also in great shape. Please make an offer if interested. Pick up available in NJ. Buyer would need to pay for shipping.

Make an offer and let's see if we can make a deal!

6 C1's total.

Thanks.

EDIT: Only in the US please. Preferably I would like to take bitcoin, buy hard cold cash is just fine as well.

Hello Bitmain. Do you have any estimation on when an S6 will be available (if made), and the time frame?

Thanks
328  Bitcoin / Hardware / Power Supply - EVGA G2 1000Watt or Corsair RM1000 Watt on: March 10, 2015, 06:58:13 AM
I see lots of people getting the EVGA power supply, plus the G2 has a 10 year warranty on it and is less expensive than the RM1000 model. Anyone have or use the EVGA G2 1000 watt model?

What I can't find is the small adapter that you plug in so you can turn it on without the main board. With the RM1000 all I used was a 14pin plastic adapter with two pins added, but not entirely sure what this EVGA G2 needs. It has a 28 pin power connector, so having a hard time finding that little adapter you would plug in.

329  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER C1 Discussion and Support Thread on: March 09, 2015, 12:45:09 AM
Good news, I was able to get a fully compiled firmware with the latest cgminer 4.9.0. I've been using it all day on a couple of pools for testing and it works fine. It does fully support extranonoce.subscribe feature because when I tried connecting to Westhash.com proxy/pool it gave me a green check mark and no wasted hash. One problem though, if I put a price in the password, like p=0.20 which is really high on purpose for a reason, it does not jump down to my second pool. If you just want to hash on West/Mice all out then no problems. Here is the link you can get it at.

http://www.diggscloud.com/public.php?service=files&t=84a9f8cc5f13fe17a985311bd98eb31b

Download away. That link will eventually expire in several days.

If you need it,just let me know. Props smit1237
330  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: March 08, 2015, 07:56:37 PM
This is all I get with my C1's. And I did find an upgraded firmware that support #xnsub feature. I can connect to Westhash stratum just fine by itself, but if I put in a price in the password it doesn't jump to my second pool. Any ideas here?

EDIT:
I may be getting somewhere. I used P=.015 and it started to mine on Westhash. I'm a little lost on what price to set there, so what would be a good average price set there?

I also want to change it to a very high price to see if it drops down to my backup pool as well.

Apparently if I use an upper case P in the password field for the price it will just mine there no matter what the price. I tried using P=.50 which is of course is way high and my miner "should" have jumped to my backup pool buy it stayed hashing on Westhas stratum. Soon as I change that upper case P to a lower case p my C1 doesn't mine at all on Westhash or jump down to backup pool. Technical issues with the Antminer C1 apparently.

What's the best Delta replacement fan to get that is quieter than stock? I can't believe how many Delta fans are out there. Literally hundreds of different models. Crazy.
332  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 08, 2015, 07:40:43 PM
So, anyone determine if the Noctua NF-12 3000 PWM push pull is a better setup than using the Corsair SP120 High Performance/Static push/pull?

I mean, at full speed the Noctua's are only 43dB and have a 6 year warranty. (This is 3000RPM version. They also make a 2000 RPM version)
The Corsair SP120 are only 35dB and cap out at 2350 RPM and have a two year warranty.

I have used Noctua's in the past and their build quality and performance has always been stellar. I believe they make the perfect cooling fans, just seeing if they are applicable to the S5.
These guys even make a fan that's Certified IP67 which means it is dust and water proof down to 1 meter.

Of course, all this and keeping the temps down to 60c.

If I had the opportunity I would try the Noctua NF-12 2000 PWM model in a push pull config. Not as robust as the 3000 RPM, but it is much quieter.

Corsair High Performance/Static model Air series. I checked over some youtube videos on these very quickly and they are very quiet, but may not cool enough.

http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Performance-Edition-CO-9050008-WW/dp/B007RESFYK

The Noctua has a higher static pressure of 4.18 compared to the Corsair which has 3.1.

So, who was the ginney pig and tried these guys out? My pick would be to use two Noctua NF-F12 2000 in a push/pull.

I did the test here's the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=974503.0
Spoiler alert: Noctua wins Smiley

Thanks! I'll take a look.
333  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: March 08, 2015, 09:28:22 AM
There maybe other issues with the C1 miner on this proxy. I set it up so that my password was p=0.0117. Westhash was my first pool/proxy. Then I added my second pool. I reset my miners and they never started on the second pool, even though it indicated "live" in the status column. I think I have heard others talk about their rigs not jump down to the next pool. Any thoughts?
334  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 07, 2015, 10:43:00 PM
Anyone put a S5 in an S3 case (with the top) and then see how well a push/pull dual fan setup works?

Not to bump an old thread, but in my experience many miners are giving far to much though to push pull, water cooling, etc - for their S5 units.

The method outlined in my Guide on Vertical Positioning of your units with a simple box fan keeps 6 S5 Units within close proximity to one another, with a single fan each - all very cool, and overclocked at 392.50.

There are detailed diagrams in the thread found here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=945775.0

Strato

But that loud 70dB is still there using the stock fans. If you have 6 of them in close range of one another you will need ear plugs.
335  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.25/GH & 0.51W/GH on: March 07, 2015, 09:31:06 PM
I replaced the fan with below and added a 2nd (push / pull) in the rear. Cools fine and a lot quieter than stock fan configuration. Fan comes with extra long connector for 3 or 4 prong. Plugs right up and reads and controls as 2nd. fan.

>snip images<

cool. I thought that silverstone 140 mmm does not fit and needs to be cut. Did it fit well without any cutting of shroud both in front and back?

I thought the S5 uses 120mm fans?
336  Bitcoin / Hardware / Anyone have update cgminer for Antminer C1? Firmware? on: March 07, 2015, 09:11:12 PM
Does anyone have an updated cgminer already compiled for the Antminer C1? I know this miner has an SD card and has the ability to flash the board, so it anyone has an updated firmware that maybe includes the newer cgminer that would be great. I have been waiting for Bitmaintech to come out with an updated firmware, but it doesn't look like they update them too often. The latest firmware for the C1 has cgminer 4.6.1.

Thanks!

No Phill...It is the BLACK chip in the middle of the board ...marked "LM75" ...OK... Huh

Hope this helps...

Cheers,

ZiG

I have marked the LM75 (TEMPERATURE Sensor) Chip in the following pic. Just stick a small heatsink on top of the sensors, one on each hashing board.

Link to heatsink on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/8pcs-Aluminum-Heatsink-With-3M-Tape-For-Computer-VGA-Xbox360-DDR-RAM-IC-Cooler/321275002402?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28901%26meid%3D0bae1b1c5ed540069fdf169527fadb30%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D321649159708

Sorry for bringing this up, but installing a heatsink on that sensor wouldn't that give false temp readings? Don't you want  the real temp reading, or trying to keep the temp sensor cooler is a good thing?
338  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: *** GHash.IO mining pool official page *** on: March 07, 2015, 07:40:40 PM
I tried late last night and they still are having issues. Amazingly a lot more users have joined back in because they are up to 19PH now. But you are correct, I can't get a constant hash rate out of them now at all.
339  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [PPS 2% fee] NiceHash.com pool - higher profits than direct mining BTC! on: March 07, 2015, 07:27:53 PM
My miners are hashing good (1 TH each) but when I view the stats page they are only doing 800 GH/sec. And the speed rejected is like %2 to %4. When I've tried other pools I was always at at least 980-1TH/sec. Any idea what that could be? I'm just trying out this pool for the first time today.

AntMiner C1 is obviously having some issues, we'll try to provide an updated cgminer binary with extranonce.subscribe.

Also, does the mining default to PPLNS?

That would be great if I could update my cgminer. For now I have to switch off because of that. Just not reaching my miner's potential. And I've asked Bitmain to update the firmware too.

No, pure PPS.

I'm strictly mining BTC, nothing special. The title of this thread says "higher profits than difect mining BTC", where are those higher profits coming from and how long after you start mining there you will see that?

Our pool is a hash rate rental service and buyers of hashing power are willing to pay more for renting hashing power, that is why you are paid more then directly mining BTC.

I'm pretty familiar with settings up my pools, but this one seems a little confusing. I'm just a little more concerned with why the difficulty is jumping way up to 4096 when I set it at 1024 in the password field to 1024 using "D=1024" from help from a previous post.

Please take a look here: https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=faq#faqs9 and see the "Note:".

Ok, I'll take another look. It was late and I could of swore I saw to set the diff it was a D=. Thanks.

Also why my hashing speeds on my miners here at home are going full blast but when I check the westhash site I have high speed rejected stats. Unless I'm just not understanding this pool and it's setup.

Like I said, obviously C1s are having issues with our pool, we'll take a look at it.

The past higher profits left in thread title only..

Got it. And thanks for the info.

Take a look at past 7 or 30 days at https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=stats, tab SHA256, it still pays more then directly mining BTC.
340  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.9.1 on: March 07, 2015, 01:47:09 PM
I'm looking to upgrade my cgminer version on my multiple C1's that I have. I saw the directions for the S3, but that was a patched/compiled file that you just needed to copy over, which I tried anyway and it didn't work on the C1. Is there a way to update or at least temporarily update the cgminer on the Antminer C1 or is this all through Bitmain? I don't think a new firmware is coming, and I like to keep the mining SW up to date. I'd even be willing to "donate" a little bit for a working pre-compiled/patched cgminer file if that can be done? Of course I know everytime I power off the unit I will need to copy the file back onto the system, but it is dooable.
What is the C1 a variant of? S3? S4? S5?

Yea, it was very similar but they water cooled it. It has four hashing PCB's  with 16 BM1382 chips. That's why I tried to use that S3 patched cgminer file but it would work.  Same PCB's as the S3+. Is this something you would need to do, or the manufacturer? Unless there's a floating patched updated C1 cgminer file out there, I haven't found it.

I could even try to compile it myself. I'm pretty good in the shell.
