Will Neptune have hosting or only sold as shipped units?

I've asked a number of times and so far they have not given any details or if they plan on offering hosted services.  I hope so,  got 4 neptunes and didn't want to run new circuits in my house but i will if i have to.

If you had $36k to spend on hardware for 4-6 months away you surely can get an electrician and throw some new lines in your home for you. People need to remember if they live in an area where it gets hot in the summer months it could be a big battle to keep things cool. Throwing just fans on it isn't going to cut it. Installing AC units also cost a fortune and eat electricity big time.

1242  Economy / Service Discussion / Coinbase duplicate deposit error anyone else? on: December 04, 2013, 02:00:15 AM
Anyone else get a duplicate deposit from Coinbase? One day I sold some bitcoin for exactly $924.35 and two days later another deposit from Coinbase of that exact amount. I'm an honest person and emailed Coinbase about it and before they responded (they never responded anyway, shit support) they withdrew the money out of my checking account. It scares me a little bit knowing they can WITHOUT my authorization or consent remove funds from my checking account. Totally messed up. They got their money back, but not even notifying me or bringing any of this to my attention kinda sucks. They SERIOUSLY need to get their customer support up and going. How can a company operate without customer contact? I don't get it. And to hear about the guy who hasn't gotten his $79k is really fucked up. I highly suggest you watch your bank accounts closely if you use Coinbase. They could blame a hacker "hacked" their system and take some money out of your account. You never know.

I'm going to buy two Cooler Master V1000's so I would need two of those 19pin plugs. Do you have them made already? I know where to buy them and even have PCI-E pins/crimps but if you already have them, let me know. I'll need two of them.
Thanks.

You need 19pin and 10 pin per PSU or it will not start. I've been racking my brain for the past couple of days why it wouldn't start and found the answer Smiley

Thanks for the helpful info, I would have never guessed since every PSU I ever jump started only used one connector. I do see that has two MB connections. Also, this unit has 4 PCI-E which is great for 4 modules and a Jupiter but heard Coolermaster was cheap and only put 3 cables in the box. Is that true?

Did you buy extra cables from Coolermaster?
1244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 04, 2013, 01:29:49 AM
Anyone interested in a way to remove the 24 pin ATX cable  Roll Eyes

I made some for myself - you just plug it directly at the back of the PSU and it starts.

The left single one is for EVGA 1300W and the right 2 ones are for Cooler Master V850/V1000 and probably other PSUs that use the same platform:

Good buy unnecessary 24 pin cable  Grin

I had the option and opportunity to buy a pre-order 10K unit but my gut told me it won't be as lucrative as the Jupiter I have now. Because of the other companies putting out hardware (it's only a matter of time they will), and such a far time in the future KNC indicated shipping times. When a company says they will ship a product in Q1/Q2 that means they have no clue on when they are shipping anything. How can you NOT know when you will ship something within a three month time? If things are that messed up and have to add another 3 months to it then something is wrong.

I am jealous of people getting Jupiters now, I would have loved to grab a couple of those and to tell you the truth have no idea why I didn't order any. I guess my single upgraded Saturn hashing at 560Gh/s will stay on until it dies.

Hey, anyone in the US know how to compute what it cost approx to run this rig? It pulls 650 watts from the wall and I think is at 5-6 amps. I'm just trying to figure out what the electrical cost is. I'm in the Eastern US.

1246  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [CLOSED] Semi-private mining pool on: December 03, 2013, 07:14:57 AM
A pool operator needs to mind the pool 24/7 and if they can't do that shit just goes down and once it starts it's hard to catch up. We need more mining pools. Even though I didn't use this one, sorry to see one go.

1247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 03, 2013, 07:00:04 AM
i cant find seller for psu evga 1300w no one sell   Sad
amazon dont have stock
i can recommend you the Corsair AX1200(i)

Coolermaster V1000 works on my older Jupiter.

No luck with Seasonic Platinum.

What happened with your Seasonic Platinum? I have a Platinum 1000w that just got delivered but not sure if I'm going to even use it.

Hi all,
The october batch of Jupiters have problems with some Corsair PSU.
Anyone knows if this is also valid for the november batch?

Thank you.

Bad information. I've been running my October Saturn/Jupiter with a Corsair RM850 since I got it. It pulls 650/660 from the wall. I did order a more powerful supply in case I added more hardware but I think I may return it since the Corsair is running just fine the way it is.

Maybe there are some people that just had issues with their Corsair so I don't think saying ALL Corsair's have issues, just certain cases.

I receive two of my orders of Jupiter on thursday and friday and more Jupiters are on its way.
They were hashing stable at 685 GH/s and 675 GH/s average.
Because it is hot and the stand of the ventilator is broken I use an ioniser to circulate the hot air to the colder part of the house.
I don't need to turn the heater on and all windows are closed
My hashrate went to 730 GH/s and 725 GH/s, each time the ioniser is turn on for at least 30 minutes.
I don't know if this is due variance of the network or BTCGuild.
The total time I notice this is too short to be sure that the ioniser has a positive effect.
Can anyone with great knowledge of electricity confirm that an air ioniser has positive effect on KnC Jupiters.

Thank you

Jesus man, air ioniser? I think if you stand on one leg and rub your belly for 30 minutes your hashing power will increase by 20. Seriously, try that. You need to be directly in front of the miner though.
1250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 03, 2013, 06:33:26 AM
So, can someone explain to me how the tuning suite works? I am literally just guessing at what I am doing....although my Sat. now Jupiter has been hashing at a decent rate, apparently after having tweaked it slightly where I think it needed tweaking....it now seems to have a steadier and slightly higher hashing rate. But some guidance or explanation of what things do and the danger zones would be nice...my 2 satoshis....

If its not broken, don't fix it.

1251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 03, 2013, 06:07:49 AM
Wrong....  Obvious RMA boards, with thermal paste smothered all over them...
its been only two weeks or so, not six
and I owed nobody any explanation, especially you.
I was kind enough to come clean when someone commented I had more than just 3 sats..... the least you can do is appreciate that.
It's obvious your nature, and your profanity just verified it...
You will not be invited to my KNC Power-Lunch when I become a millionaire...  Tongue

Why would anyone hide what they have or hide their hashing power? Is there something I'm missing here on why that is such a secret? I don't know the whole story and just read you got free boards but didn't know you also received bad hardware, right? Really none of my business and I was just curious about it since this hardware is so hard to get and hearing that people got free shit made me curious.

1252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: December 01, 2013, 06:07:50 AM
Who the hell got free boards or special treatment from KNC? And how and why did they get that treatment, freebies?

Also, some people are just passive and like to turn around and take it up the ass...that's just the way some people are, human, right?

Sometimes you just gotta be candid for people to understand.

1253  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [100 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + UserDiff; ASIC tested on: November 30, 2013, 07:28:01 PM
Why do you guys stay here if you aren't getting paid on time or when you are supposed to? Loyalty or something? Even though I think all bitcoin pool operators are criminal thieving guys I've stuck and stayed with BTC Guild since the beginning. Even at times my reward level dropped and I made less I think it is well worth the fees you have to pay to mine there. BUT if the fees do increase there I would POSSIBLY try another "free" pool. If you haven't tried the Guild yet, give it a try. The web layout is very professional, easy to use and user friendly too. Its just clean and neat. Unlike the other pools I've tried which look like they are from the 80's using Microsoft Frontpage to create. And yes, this is my opinion. Good luck, we are all in this together.

Without riser cables and open air box..
temporary solution..

Jesus, you have a portable air conditioner inches away pointing the air flow right into that rig and it still hits 78C? Lets cook some eggs!

Guys, I just posted over 40 minutes ago the pool is having problems. I have a few friends that love this pool and aren't able to mine here and are using another pool. God only knows why my friends call me and ask if I'm having problems. They all know I don't use this pool. They are all freaking out.
1256  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to exchange BTC and deposit money?? on: November 30, 2013, 07:10:23 PM
There's like 5 different forum areas all very closely related so I had no idea where to post such a question. I'm real surprised there aren't many other places available where you can sell your bitcoin and turn into cash for you. This only tells me that most people hoard their bitcoin they make I guess. Man, what's the fun if you can't have fun NOW?

Its like the old cheap/frugal 90 year old guy that has millions in the bank when he dies. What an extraordinary life he could of had if he wanted to, but when you use coupons and looks for sales when you have millions in the bank I think there is something wrong to begin with anyway. I guess I can harsh, and people have the right to do with whatever they want.
1257  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox questions.... on: November 30, 2013, 07:05:14 PM
Jesus, then what the hell good is Mt. Gox if you can't do any transfers with it?
1258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 30, 2013, 07:03:38 PM
I was lucky to grab 4 upgrade modules but that was a dick move by KNC to not let all Saturn owners upgrade. They basically opened the door to any customer Jupiter owner or not and allowed them to upgrade. I bought two Saturn's so I felt I was in the right to be able to buy upgrade modules. For some reason in my gut I felt it was going to be fast sell so I never moved to fast during an online purchase. And KNC had a 3 limit per purchase. So I had to make two purchases. One for 3 modules and one for 1 module. I'm not sure how I was able to make two purchases while others weren't able to make any, but my Internet connection pipe is huge and bitpay didn't give me any problems at all. I guess I'm just venting my experience.

I broke even about two weeks ago and everything I make now is profit. When I get .5 coin I usually just sell it and deposit it into my bank. Do you guys think I should actually be accumulating or saving the bitcoin? We all remember when BTC was $20, hell, I remember when it was $15 when I joined Silk Road...yep that drug dealing site. Can BTC sustain itself at the price it is now, it is over $1200 right now from Mt.Gox. I've seen rises and falls before being around for such a while but never at these prices or this long. I told myself it would bust a while ago but it kept going up up up up. I don't know. It is hard to save bitcoin when cash is king. The way I have been looking at it is no matter what the price of BTC is be it $1200 or $20 when I cash out that's money I didn't have to begin with. Of course I would love to maximize the reward but I've never been "lucky" with money since I'm not really a greedy person and spend/waste it foolishly. I think if I had $10k of BTC around when the Neptunes were offered, I don't think I would have taken the bait. What's funny about all this is the only thing I ever spent $10k or more on something was my car and my house. I really don't want to have a bitcoin miner 3rd on my list at that price. Damn, to hold onto coin at $1200 or sell. What do you guys do with the coin you make with your KNC rigs? Half save, half cash out?

Also, yea, Eligius is having serious issues. Sorry Wizkid, but I've had nothing but problems with your pool and I'm glad to pay the GUILD a fee. You gotta get yourself a new dedicated box or a high powered VPS and put some good old fashion security on that guy. None of this ~wizkid folder redirect crap. Sorry, I'm in a mood today.

1259  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 30, 2013, 06:33:09 PM
I skip right over the messages that talk about difficulty and all that. Because I know one day it will all be over and I'll sadly have to shut my miner off.

 Sad

There are issues. I have a few friends that mine here and all of them are disconnected now. They have temporarily switched to a pool that is up and running until Eligius gets back up. Good luck.
