341  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitmit - Bitcoin shopping mall - Bitcoin market place - Bitcoin auction house on: November 20, 2013, 11:40:50 PM
I sure hope they release all the held escrows before closing down for good.

I've got a sale still in there with the BTC unreleased.  I have tried many times to contact the buyer asking them to login and release, but they never responded.  So far as I know the item was delivered to their satisfaction.

Why mine at any other pool when Eligius is 0% Fees?

Downtime.

I guess you could do elig + a backup pool.

You will see the difference!
What I did, was install 2 -100 amp sub-panels....one for computers, and the other for the farm.....
so the miners & computers have a dedicated 100 amp line...  all the way...
and installed enough circuits & breakers to ensure I use no more than 60% of the rated draw on a 20 amp breaker...
(2200watts... I try to use only 1200-1300 per)... so like only 2 jupiters per 20 amp breaker

If you would wire those 20A circuits into 2-pole breakers you could draw twice as many watts per, and your power supplies will also run at increased efficiency.

That's how I run all my miners.

Personally I run all my miners on 240V circuits for efficiency's sake.
346  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: KNCminer is a SCAM - Lost thousands! on: November 20, 2013, 02:37:15 PM
This same story plays out whenever refunds come up regardless of the maker.

A buyer should only expect a refund of the purchase price.  KNC's products are clearly priced in USD.  When I bought my November Jupiter the price shown on the product page was $4995.00.  If I were to request a refund, I would expect to receive a refund in that amount.

It doesn't matter if I paid in some other currency, be it BTC converted by bitpay, or EUR converted by paypal.

For one 160GHps blade?

Agree, Water is the choice for thermal reasons alone.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried this stuff in a PC/miner liquid cooling system to increase its performance:

Once again:

Wrong thread y'all.

Can we please limit discussion here to KnC and their products?  There are plenty of other threads for other topics.

Yup, looks like mine is moving again.  Status back from Exception to In Transit, scheduled for delivery Thursday.

I see they've bought a couple forum ad slots now.

So I'm pretty sure most suspect this might actually be yifu selling avalon gen 2 devices. The specs are the same but the chip markings mysteriously are not there

Also the chips are QFN56 rather than QFN48.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 19, 2013, 05:52:48 AM
you guys are getting all worked up about nothing... This happens all the time with large scale international shipments. Source: I do it a alot, and mostly by UPS.

Do they ever tell you why?

Maybe you should consider switching shipping companies.
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 19, 2013, 05:25:59 AM
This really is a triple fail.

First they ship each board in its own box for some reason and make us pay for it.

They they delay all the shipments until Monday, having told us before purchasing that they would ship out last week.

And now this.
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 19, 2013, 04:39:53 AM
Thats the normal message on UPS, things are well on their way...relax.
if you're alarmed...its because you haven't done much with UPS obviously.
All those tracking messages are good ones.
 Cool

No, they are not normal.  It clearly says "exception" at the top of the tracking page and in the emails, and the estimated delivery date is gone.
357  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: November 19, 2013, 04:26:38 AM
You'd think BFL could at least ship bare chips on time.  You know, the chips they promised would ship 100 days from the order date no matter what.  Chips that they've had in production and been trickling out in miners for months now.

But no, mine arrived over 40 days late.
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: November 19, 2013, 04:20:24 AM
That US gov and Bitcoin attorneys meeting tomorrow, could the gov be signaling something not letting our modules in?  Probably not.  Still no way to tell from other overseas manufacturers shipments given they aren't as high profile as KnC customers and our shipping.  And BFL is manufacturing them here so....

Shipments destined for EU customers met the same fate.  I don't think us.gov had a hand in this one.
359  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Hacking a BFL Jalapeno to 20GH and beyond.... on: November 19, 2013, 04:17:15 AM
That's pretty cool.  I have 2 jalapenos and 7 loose BFL chips on hand, but no hot air rework equipment.  I'm getting ideas involving my kitchen oven...

Did someone not do the paperwork correctly??

I wondered about that.  I just went and checked the box my October Saturn shipped in, and it appears to have no import declaration whatsoever.
